  1. I was going through some of the TNA gimmicks and there are a few changes I think should be made because the existing one is outdated or doesn't "suit them." AJ Styles is set as "Hero", but he's been doing an angry, bitter, lone wolf thing for awhile now. I couldn't find a gimmick that really fit so I cloned "Bitter Veteran", made it acceptable for faces, and renamed it "Bitter Company Veteran" with a description of "someone angry they have been pushed aside or taken advantage of." I gave the same gimmick to Matt Morgan since he's been doing the same sort of thing as a heel and the "Evolution" gimmick he has doesn't suit him. I gave Gail Kim the "Queen Bee" gimmick since she's doing the "best in the business" thing lately and her existing one didn't suit her. Sting isn't doing the "Crazy" thing anymore and hasn't for a long time. I set him to "Loyalist" since he's been fighting for TNA.
  2. Suicide returned to TNA as a face this week. Reports say its under the mask. So maybe add him to TNA on a PPA deal and give him a Suicide IV alter ego and mask? There's also a Suicide III you don't have an alter ego in for, Akira Raijin/Kiyoshi.
  3. As always thank you for a great mod. One mistake I noticed, you have Allison Danger married to Austin Aries. She is actually married to Ares, the Swiss wrestler who used to tag with Claudio Castagnoli/Antonio Cesaro.
  4. - Jay Lethal said in an interview that TNA had contacted him for their One Night Only shows but he couldn't do it because he was contracted to ROH. So maybe he should have a written deal with ROH? - Is it possible Akihiko Fukuda and Akihiko Hukuda are the same person? I found Hukuda on cagematch and he seems to be a Pro Wrestling NOAH referee but the only mention I find of Fukuda is also as a NOAH referee mentioned on a messageboard. In fact on one of these TEW messageboards. Given how close the names are I can't help but wonder if they're the same person and it was just a typo in some database that got carried over?
  5. Nope, The Great Titan is a former FCW brawler while Titán is a CMLL luchador. I stand corrected. Cheers.
  6. Some stuff I've noticed. - Jolly Roger is taking part in some of the Wrestling Is promotions so probably should be Active. - I don't know the wrestlers but I think Titan and The Giant Titan are the same person. - Allison Danger retired this month for her health. Ayumi Kurihara is also retiring next month I believe. - Evie should be a woman. - BUSHI and T28 are the same person I believe. Wikipedia has both listed as aliases for Tetsuya Bushi.
  7. They do, which is why I included it. But you can do that too. In this mod I'm pretty sure there's angles like "Video hyping Wrestler" or "Video for next show." Go ahead and make "Trailer for bad WWE Film" or "Don't Try This At Home" if you want to. That's my point. Realistic is actually really easy to simulate by the player. Cutting the show for the mod doesn't make things more realistic, it just limits options. But you really don't have to worry about covering for beer commercials and car ads. That stuff happens by the network, you as the show booker should be focused on what the fans in attendance see.
  8. I've never liked this idea at all and here's why. While its true that RAW doesn't have 3 hours of TV time every Monday from the perspective of us viewers at home that doesn't mean WWE doesn't book and run a 3 hour+ show. Every Monday WWE runs 3+ hours of a show for their live audience. We may be watching commercials during 40 minutes of that but they're not. At least not unless WWE is running commercials in the arena. When there's a long match we don't tend to see 100% of it. They cut to commercial break but the match is still going on. So why not assume you take commercial breaks during your matches? Or why not run those short commercial segments like a wrestler walking to the ring or a graphic for an upcoming match? The minimum you can run them for is 1 minute but they last 5 or 10 seconds in real life. So why not chalk the rest of the minute up to commercial time? If you want an easy way to make for commercial times then book "John Cena is walking to the ring" for 1 minute, "Alicia Fox runs a kiss cam" for 1 minute, and then "The announcers hype the main event" for 1 minute. On TV you'd see maybe 10 seconds of that so that's 2 minutes and 50 seconds for commercials. Or Hell, know what I do sometimes? Create a "Commercial Break" angle. Set it for 3 minutes, throw in whatever you want like "wrestler walks to the ring", "Diva entertains the crowd during the commercial", and "announcers hype match" and save it as a minor angle. Then all you need to do is select that every time you book a show. It can make things a lot easier for you and its way more "realistic" in my book than cutting the show to 2 and 1/2 hours. Push them as Personalities or set them as Announcers and make sure to use them once a show in a backstage interview or with something like a Kiss Cam or T-Shirt Cannon angle for the crowd/commercials. They'll expect to be used as Announcers if you set them as that but if you just use them once on your A Shows then I find that works out fine. I'm absolutely against removing them from the database. They're real personalities in the business who people might want to use. If you don't want to use them fire them or set them to Personalities and ignore them. But I like using them when the mood suits me. In fact I often tend to acquire dozens of Personalities, Road Agents, and Announcers I keep around specifically to use in quick segments that come up from time to time. I like having "Security" to break up a brawl or people talking backstage to be surprised by a fight. That sort of thing makes people who may not have a major role still useful to me in small ways.
  9. Appreciated, buddy. Nice to be able to close the book on those. Is there an easy way to share multiple picture links from Photobucket with the new design? I've cut almost 700 pictures the last couple of months including another couple of dozen 2CW pictures. I used to share that stuff when I cut it but that used to be easy to do with Photobucket. Now it seems like I have get each image's link one at a time which seems impossible to do a big bunch like TheWho does. But Who does it so there has to be a way, right?
  10. Ok, so prowrestling.wikia says 2CW's referees are Joe Strawberry, Johnathan Ashe, and Ted Stillwater. I'm going to guess the rosy cheeked one is Strawberry and I think the light haired one is Ashe from the picture on his Facebook page. I'm leaning towards the tie being John McGraw, 2CW announcer. And I don't know about the other guy. He's holding a camera so I guess I'll just chalk him up as some kind of photography staff that probably isn't in the game anyway?
  11. I found a bunch of studio shots on 2CW's facebook page so I cut people I was pretty sure I didn't have. Problem is I don't know who these people are. Can anyone help me identify them?
  12. Yeah, I have probably 3 or 4 dozen people signed to WWE under "Legends" deals. Its pretty excessive but I'm seeing how it goes. I'm basically playing a game right now where I'm trying a bunch of different things to see how they work out. The Legends contracts is one but there's a bunch more I'm doing. - A female only Pregnancy injury to see how it goes. I'm curious if it just happens randomly or if I end up with half the women in the database pregnant. - I edited a bunch of injuries so that you can use the wrestler on camera. I figured that allows me to use injured wrestlers as announcers or authority figures, or to build up a return or feud. - I'm playing around with 3 PPVs every 2 months and different sort of events to see how it goes. Its basically a response to taking TNA over while it has its One Night Only PPVs scheduled. I'm keeping them but I'm also adding a regular PPV every 2 months. I'm curious to see if I just drain my bank or make a ton of money, or if grow my company or burn my audience out. - I took a bunch of people who retired healthy at a young age and edited them to Out of Business and "Sometimes Wrestler". I was thinking of people like Brock Lesnar or The Rock who retired not due to injuries but life choices, but then years later came back in some way. No one "comes out of retirement" in the game but people do sometimes "return to the business." So I edited a bunch of people to see if over a few years I see a number of returns. I wouldn't suggest you adopt any of these, really. They could be bad ideas all around. They're all just little things I'm playing around with to see what happens. I guess I should have considered the Legends thing one of those things too.
  13. I have a Pregnancy injury in my database so I guess I didn't think of it that way. In my database she's already going to miss 9+ months with that. Yeah, a lot of my "WWE Legends" are iffy. I also have this latest batch of Hall of Famers in my database. Its really for me just about the people I think are a phone call away for WWE. But I also get why that's not everyone's ideal. - Betsy Ruth retired recently due to injuries. - Laura Mattano and Mia Martinez are the same person.
  14. Well trish is getting set to "taking time off" as she is knocked up, regarding the others, im fairly certain most appear at other indy companies from time to time, expect the likes of Austin and HBK
  15. -Allison Danger should have a blood relationship with Colby Corino as she is his aunt. In addition Danger is married to Ares so that relationship should be added as well as possibly a relationship between Ares and Colby? Loyalty or Friendship? -
  16. Some more, forgive me. - Shelton Benjamin should have a contract with ROH. He was on their show just a few days ago. - Jerry Lynn should be retired. I believe he finished his farewell tour last month. - I don't think Jesse Sorenson is officially retired. I heard an interview from him a few weeks back where he said he was uncertain of his future but still looking towards a return to the ring. I guess its a judgment call as to whether he's being realistic or just hopeful. - Reby Sky is misnamed "Ruby Sky" in the mod.
  17. Great mod as always. Just some things I've noticed. - Brad Armstrong passed away last fall. - Scarlett Bordeaux and Val Malone are in ROH as heel managers for Truth Martini, the "Hoopla Hotties." - Alberto Del Rio's Hall of Immortals entry seems to be someone else's. Maybe his father's? It says he has 4 World title runs, a National Icon run, etc. - In general there are dozens of people set as "Future Inductees" who don't qualify for it. They should really be changed to "Not Inducted". The ones like Cena who have earned the spot will go in automatically, the ones who earn it during the course of a game will too. - What do you think of adding WWE Legends contracts? You have a few people like HBK and Foley under PPA contracts so I'd suggest doing the same for all the "Legends" who make semi-regular appearances or do work. Trish, Edge, Honky Tonk, Bret Hart, Duggan, Slaughter, Dibiase, Jimmy Hart, Ron Simmons, Nash, Snuka, Mae Young, Piper, Austin, and Tony Atlas are the ones I added for my database. A PPA deal still allows them to sign elsewhere but also means a rival doesn't "steal" them without a fight. - Your OVW seems pretty accurate but any chance of adding Michael Hayes? He's a young OVW school graduate who is a vet who lose his leg in combat. He's an interesting guy to add and you can just rename the Freebird to "Michael P.S. Hayes". I wish I could help with stats but all I did was clone Zach Gowan and age him down.
  18. This looks like it. If no one else cuts it I can some time later. http://www.todoxeltodo.com.mx/mayohome.jpg
  19. I don't think there's been any official confirmation but RVD has been talking about "life after TNA" in recent interviews like he's done with them. Its been almost two months since he's done anything there so I'd guess they just parted amicably so I'd remove him myself. He may return but the story right now seems to be that his contract expired so he's a free agent.
  20. The brand split is all but dead. The only way it really matters at all at this stage is that RAW still seems to be the main home to the WWE Championship while Smackdown has the World Championship. But the World Title feud spills over to RAW all the time. Every other aspect from exclusive rosters to midcard titles is completely and totally dead. Smackdown is much more of a "B Show" at this stage and maybe it might be worth seeing what happens if you set it as that in the mod. Maybe that would reduce it too much in importance and get it cancelled but it could possibly lead to the game treating it the same way WWE does, as a place to shove its midcarders who don't fit on RAW. Also I haven't gotten a chance to load up this update but I'm sure its great as always. Some news I assume broke too late for you to add. Charlie Haas is gone from ROH. He was fired/quit after a backstage fight with Grizzly Redwood and cut an emotional (and supposedly intoxicated) shoot on Kevin Kelly, Delirious, and Nigel McGuinness. He may or may not also be retired since he said he was going home to his family for good. I'd say set him to "On Hiatus until he confirms his retirement with a level head but remove him from ROH and maybe do all the necessary relationship changes/additions.
  21. Yeah, I love the large database. If I could I'd play a database that has every single promotion and every single person who has ever taken part in wrestling in it. I love the options and huge world it creates. If I want to hire the actress who played Claire Lynch in TNA I like that its an option available to me. Look at someone like Dutch Mantell, who would have been left out of a lot smaller databases but now plays a prominent role in WWE. Being able to do something like that, pull some random wrestling name out of the ether and use him for a storyline or in a role is something I consider wholly realistic and hugely fun. I'd be very disappointed if this mod was made smaller in the name of run times that I don't see as a very big deal unless you're trying to sim a month at a time (which I imagine is what bothers some people playing smaller companies). The overness issue is something I can see the argument for but I think my objections have been made very eloquently by others. Too many mod makers simply drop the overness of TNA workers and that screws up the whole game. WWE workers are then ridiculously over exaggerated compared to TNA guys and TNA becomes an unplayable promotion where Jeff Hardy will never lose. If cpt charisma or others went through the work of adjusting the entire world then it could work but it seems like a huge and complicated process.
  22. You should be able to just select every work to import and only the ones without duplicates will get imported. The only real problem with that is if someone gets their name changed between months, then you've got doubles. You also won't get relationships, contracts, tag teams, and stuff like that but you wouldn't have gotten them anyway in an import.
  23. If you do add more companies I'd love to see a number of NWA promotions to help get that alliance off the ground. RIng Warriors seems to be their new home base from some things I read but even getting any 2 to go with the one you already added would help get a little alliance going. But that's just a general idea. If I can't help with stats for new wrestlers I'm certainly not going to give you grief about adding a company you're unfamiliar with. A couple of people whose stats seem a little low for me are the TNA British Boot Camp crew. The Blossoms seem like ok/solid wrestlers from the bit I've seen with a little flash but their stats are really in the toilet in the mid so I think they could get a small general boost in basics/mat/aerial. Just enough to get them equal to other women at their level/age in the game. Doug Williams praised Marty Scurll as one of the best technical wrestlers in the UK but they're pretty mediocre in game. And Rockstar Spud seems to be a pretty good promo so I'd up his entertainment skills a bit. Just my two cents.
