I know it sucks not having them play. The more I hear and see Leaf fans the more I hate the Team and its players. Everyone knew that is was going to be life and death to make the playoffs this year and that they were not a good team. Not once would one of their fans admit that. They need to rebuild but for some reason or another they are afraid to do it. With the salary cap you can't go out and just get past their prime players to try and fix holes anymore. You can't buy the Stanley Cup anymore. Sorry Leaf Fans

I am not trying to be rude. I never really understood the whole fascination with Nascar. How is it that it became so popular? IMO after golf and tennis its the most boring sport in the world.

How is that so bad. The Leafs will miss Sundin and Telquist. They are only playing washington. Its one game big deal. Its far worse for Detroit who had 5 players on Team Sweden. Leaf fans should be happy some one on their team won something for a change.

Canuck fans might be short 2 defensemen as Ohlund left the Sweden game with possible broken ribs and Salo left with a shoulder strain which the CBC said might be a separated shoulder.

Hasek got injured during the game with Germany. Most fear its the same one he had when he was playing for Buffalo a few years ago. He just said on the CBC that he is doubtful he will be able to return for the rest of the Olympics. Hopefully for Sens fans that the injury is not very serious and he only misses a few weeks. If he misses the rest of the season, Ottawa's chances of winning a cup are very slim.

None of you have mentioned that fact that there might be a work stoppage. What kind of impact would that have? The only good thing coming out of it is the other major sports would get a boost in ratings.

There has been some real exciting moments so far but what I really have noticed is how little coverage NBC shows. They never show anythng till after 7. All the live stuff happens during the day. The CBC has coverage all day long except for a break at 5 for the news. It makes you wonder how much Americans really care.

Buffalo keeps within 3 of Ottawa after winning tonight. Vanek is looking pretty good now after a very slow start. One game left till the Olympic break. Carolina on the road. Should be a good game. That race for 8th in the east should be interesting the rest of the way. IMO there is only 3 teams fighting for it. Toronto, Boston and Montreal. Possibly Atlanta, hard to say with them. Their last 2 games have been good but then you look at the game against the Leafs and wonder how they are even close to a playoff spot. The thing the fans of those teams have to worry about is that they will be fighting so hard for that last playoff spot, that which ever one gets it will have no gas left for the playoffs.

Buffalo played a terrible game last night. They still managed to get a point last night. Hopefully Ottawa keeps playing like they did last night. Hopefully Hecht injury isn't that bad and he returns after the Olympic break. His injury hurts Germany's hockey team. The good news is Briere will be back after the Olympics. Once they get all their players back it will interesting to see who they send down to Rochester and what kind of trades they make.

I never said that Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa weren't in the league or in Canada. The way the media portrays it, the main sports network always leads off with everything Maple Leaf first. The CBC is not much better. When the playoffs come around no matter what other Eastern Canadian team is in the playoffs, most times its the Leaf one us eastern canadians have to watch. Montreal and Ottawa are in the east too CBC. Thats why I am hoping the Leafs miss the playoffs cause then the CBC will have to show another eastern canadian team. Thats my big rant for the day.

They won't be chokers. I think they will atleast get to the second round. I really don't think they will be playing the Leafs at all in the playoffs. I really have my doubts with them even making it. We will see who is laughing when the playoffs start and "Canada's" team misses the playoffs. The reason I call them "Canada's " team is cause for some reason most of their fans think they are. Come April the only words the Leafs will here are FORE!!!!.

I know the record for the whole season matters most. I think I they were just trying to show how bad the Sens have been lately. The only team they have beaten in 2 weeks is the Pittsburgh Penguins. Maybe its just they are coasting toward the playoffs. Since they know that they are most likely going to be a high seed anyway. Hopefully for Sens fans that that is the case. If not then they are in big trouble.

The Sens keep playing like they did last night and they just might lose the division. They said on TSN last night since the start of 06 Columbus has a better record the the Sens. The other thing I would be worried about is that the Sabres are only 4 pts back. It would be great to say Buffalo Sabres 2005-2006 Northeast Division Champs

its just a rumour I heard probably won't happen as I can't see either team trading within the conference let alone division. I really hope the Bertuzzi deal happens.

Yeah 6 straight wins. Hopefully 7 after thursday. Miller is looking really good right now. I don't know if they should trade Biron or not. He is been rumoured to go almost everywhere. One was a trade to Montreal, not sure for who though. Another was Biron and Afinogenov to Vancouver for Bertuzzi. Personnally I like that one. Bertuzzi in a Sabre uniform would be awesome.

Everyone got what they wanted though. ABC wanted Pittsburgh to win too. All those pictures they showed before comercials was of different Steelers holding the Super Bowl trophy. Bettis never won before and it was in his home town. They gave it to him. The fix was in from the beginning.

I have brought up points why the Leafs blow. They are old, slow and don't have very good goaltending. There defense really sucks. Most nights they give up around 30 shots a game. I would love a canadian team to win the cup. Preferably a team from western canada. It wouldn't bother me too much if the Sens won it. But the Leafs and the Habs have won enough cups. Neither team needs another one. Its going to be a long time before the Leafs ever win one. Until the ownership decides winning is more important than profit they will never win one.

It still counts as a win. How many times have Toronto beat them this year. None. Why does everyone hate the fact I talk about the sabres. I have put up with all of you talking about the Laffs, Sens and sometimes Habs. Its a shame that only the Sens are making the playoffs of the three. Blow Laffs BLow.

How about them Sabres. They beat the mighty Sens. They are now within 4 pts. of them. 5 wins in a row now. After tuesday it should be 6. They are playing the lowly habs.

Anyone else think having saturday afternoon games is a bad idea. Hockey should be played at night. Another thing to try and sell the game to the americans.

What is wrong with the way hockey is played now. Its made for the good skaters. There is really not much of a trap played anymore. When was the last time the NHL had more than 4 players that are going to have 100 pts. at the end of the season. Its been a long time. The only thing I wish there was more of was hitting but once the playoffs come I am sure we will see more of it.

Those games were early in the season. Buffalo has been a hell of a lot better since. It should be a great game tomorrow night. As for Drury he has averaged 20 goals every season. He is playing at his career average. Lindros and Allison were both close to 100 pts a season. Both no where near that this year. Briere has been hurt since the early part of the season. He was having a good year till he got hurt. If Miller keeps playing the way he has been it should be a close game and maybe even a win. Clawson you want to compare stats. RYAN MILLER G.A.A. 2.24 Sv % .923 Belfour G.A.A 3.36 Sv % .891 Who has the better goalie. I think by far Miller is better and Belfour has seen better days.

I want to see a canadian team win the cup too. Just as long as its not the Laffs. A lot of it is their fans. Most of their fans think they are the only team in the league. Most of them are very ignorant. The ones on this board know what they are talking about. Its not like the owners of the team really want to win. They have no need to win a cup as they sell out the building all the time. Even when they are bad. For them it has always been about making money. Why do you think the teachers own part of it.

We will see after saturday who the better team is. They beat Philly yet again and stay within 5 pts of the Sens and move 14 pts ahead of the Laffs. In my books they will always be called the Laffs as they are a joke for a franchise. They trade away all their draft picks and continue to sign guys who are well past their prime. Lindros and Allison are no where near the players they once were. They have always been about making money and not trying to win the cup. Until they realize that you can't win the cup by trying to buy it then they will always be the Laffs CKN why would you stick up for the Laffs. If you are a Sens fan you should hate them more than any other team. Being a Sabre fan makes you hate them, Philly and Montreal.

And how many points are the sabres ahead of the Laffs by. I think its 12. Should be 14 after tonight. Its too bad that the Laffs didn't build their team for this type of hockey. Sorry but old and slow doesn't win much anymore.
