  1. I figured it might be South Park Mexican, but you said you loved it instead of him, so I wasn't sure.

SPM's alright to listen to, though the last album I heard was 5 or 6 years ago in high school. Didn't he get locked up for pedophilia around that time?

  2. Lamar Hunt, Owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, the man who the AFC Championship is named after, the man responsible for naming the Super Bowl died today. He's in a better place and is no longer suffering, but I really wish he would have lasted around to see Kansas City host the Super Bowl in 2010 (I think it's 2010). He's done incredible amounts of work for the NFL and his presence will be greatly missed.

  4. Yes. Last night's episode, his cane played a big role. A clinic patient told him he gets away with being an asshole because of his cane. They went back and forth due to House's treatment of the patient and refusal to apologize. That patient ended up being a cop and arrested House at the end, essentially as payback. I'm not great at reviewing shows, it was a very good episode and I'd recommend finding a way to see it.

  5. Alright, I need someone to give me some unbiased advice on these bets.

10/11 N'Orleans to beat the Ravens, the spread is -2. Would I be right in thinking that I'll only win the bet if the Saints beat the Ravens by two or more points? If so, how do you rank that and the following bets:

Pittsburgh to beat Oakland, -9, 10/11

Indy to beat Denver in the Horse Bowl, +3, 10/13

Carolina to beat Dallas, -5, 10/11

Houston to beat Tennessee, +3, 5/6

  6. You can only apply to be a manager.

You do this by going to "Job Security", and look for any team that has no manager or it says "Available" I believe. From there, you click on the team and click "Apply For Job".

Or just start the game with whatever team you want >_>

  7. Pardon the interruption....

I've never before played this, but wanted to in order to expand my knowledge of World football. However, I'm stuck on the "getting a job" phase. Stupid, huh? I go into job vacancies, some teams say they need a scout, assistant manager, whatever. So I right click on that squad, click on staff, but I don't see the apply for job on the bottom left. I saw it one time, but never again. What am I missing here?

  8. Yea, accumulator and parlay are the same.

I used to be a gambling addict, now it's not as bad. I do a lot of bets on college football, both parlays and individual bets. I do a lot on basketball, both pro and college. That's about it though. I've never really enjoyed betting on baseball or hockey.

  9. I've been drinking, but here is something I saw someone do.

At the start of a season, pick 8 teams from each of the handicap betting leagues (basically, each team is handicapped in the league, so Chelsea start at 0, whilst other teams will have +points given to them....this happens for all the leagues). Each team in the Prem is given 16/1, in any other league 18/1.

If you chose 8 teams from the Premiership, it's almost 1/2 you'll get the team, whilst in the other leagues it'll be 1/3 (8 in 24). 2p accumulators across all of them will set you back somewhere in the realm of £500.....however, you stand to earn £28,000 if it comes in.

Naturally, I don't expect you to do this now....this was just something I wanted to let people know about >_>

  10. Why would a 1st round pick being considered too much? Would you rather keep your 1st round pick and gamble it?

You're just as likely to end up with Peter Warrick, RJ Soward, or Sylvester Morris as you are a quality wideout. No position has produced more first round busts. At least you're getting a proven player, who while he probably won't be great, will at least provide an additional threat and be fairly consistent.

  11. Just a couple quick comments based on others comments....

Mike Williams didn't see a lot of action because of Marinelli's approach: Hard Work over Talent. Williams showed talent and obviously has talent, but still doesn't have the work ethic and Marinelli won't reward that, it's why Rogers was ultimately cut despite his actual ability.

And the Texans draft debate will wage on for quite a while. I don't disagree with their pick as you build a team starting at the lines. Drafting Reggie Bush and putting him behind one of the "worst lines in the history of football" as Maxx said still wouldn't work. He's a phenomenal athlete, but with no line, he'd be lackluster. My pick would have been D'Brickashaw Ferguson. A top offensive tackle can mean a lot for a team, he'd give Carr protection while helping to open up the running game with Domanick Davis (who at the time wasn't hurt). But, it's a debate that'll go on.

Living in Denver, I was quite surprised that the Broncos cut Bradlee Van Pelt and Carswell. They're going into the season with a two man quarterback roster again instead of keeping Van Pelt as a third stringer. Carswell is just big in the community and I'd hate to see him leave Denver to go somewhere else just because of that aspect.

As a Chiefs fan, I have no idea what to think. Larry Johnson's a good back but with the focus on him, I'm not expecting superman numbers and with Saunders offense gone to Washington, I'm just not sure what to think. We're gonna try to win more games with our defense than offense and that's a scary thing in KC.

  12. I'm glad Goldberg won as I just didn't see Storm pulling that out right away, though I'm sure it was tempting to have him win. The show started with Storm-Booker T and I figured to make things fair, Goldberg-Steiner should have been right at the top of the card too in order to give them equal rest. Maybe that's why Storm was able to keep up with Goldberg?

Not sure where the Disco thing's going, but I've yet to see any diary where they've made Disco into a character I could watch and enjoy, hopefully you can.

As a Nash mark, I'm glad he's coming back but is he coming back against the NBT's or with them? I'd tune in to find that out, and if he is going against them, to see who his partner would be.

  13. Forgive me if this has been asked, I'm on the net via my phone and it takes forever to try and look through the thread.

In the offseason, after retirements and after the draft, there's a roster management section. Kendrell Bell is the only player listed, but all I can do is view his info or release him. What exactly am I supposed to in this section? What's it for?

  14. Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense just marched down the field, Romo went 7/9 for 76 yards and a TD. This excites me.

And Vince Young is getting mauled

Edit: scratch that, he's playing like Michael Vick....28 yards on the ground, 56 through the air...4/11

Did you watch any of the game? He had some great passes that his recievers dropped. One was a perfect bomb. He didn't play great though, but not bad considering the circumstance.

Campbell looked good tonight sides the INT. Any Redskins fans wanna fill me in on why the hell Todd Collins was put it before him? That was just awful. And any Bengals fans, where was Chris Perry?

I'm not a Skins fan, but if you think about it, it's really easy. Todd Collins came from KC; Al Saunders came from KC; Todd Collins knows the offense being run, whereas it's Campbell's sixth offense in six years pretty much, of course he's going to bedhind the power curve. Is he the future for the Redskins? Yes, but this year, for right now, at least, Todd Collins gets the nod because he knows the system and is more familiar with it than Campbell is.
