  1. Kerney and Ahman Green both have scheduled visits in Denver. Denver's also heavily pursuing Willis McGahee if they can work out the draft pick with Buffalo.

Plummer's not officially retired, but it is likely. Apparently, he didn't like the prospects of being traded to Tampa. The original trade had him going to Houston, which he seemed to be ok with. I'll wait to see if he goes through with filing the paperwork or not.

  2. Bly to the Broncos for Bell and Foster.

Great move for the Lions, picking up Tatum Bell (who is a playmaker, even though he's got fumblitis) and Foster (A very good tackle). Both players were in Shanny's doghouse and once you're there, you stay there (See O'neal, Deltha).

For the Broncos, Bly could start depending on whether or not Foxworth beats him out. Makes for an interesting battle and a great nickel package.

  3. At 6'5 265, I don't see Gaines being made into a linebacker. More than likely, he'll bulk up, add ten or fifteen pounds, and play on the end. Though he reminds me more of Willie Mcginest than anyone, so I'd like to see him drop to 255 and rotate between the end and linebacker spot.

  4. To truly show how good Calvin Johnson is.

He does the interview thing doesn't work out, but wait, he decides to run the 40. He has to borrow kleets from somone else and he runs a 4.32....in the words of Ron Simmons....DAMN.

Because someone's got to say it, just to honk off VP:

Matt Millen's gotta be looking real close at Johnson... :shifty:

And the Eagles not keeping Garcia is moronic, seriously. He seems to be perfectly content to play a backup role on a winning team, rather than go get his head handed to him on a crappy team...like Cleveland...or Detroit. Not sure what A.J. Feeley's got on everyone that keeps them convinced he'll be a serviceable QB.

He's got Heather Mitts. And she's hot in that "Oh my lord, you're ripped" kinda way. If you're into that sorta thing....and I know you are.

  7. I really fail to see how firing a coach who admittedly can't seem to win in the playoffs, but at least knows how to guide a team TO the playoffs, and hiring a coach who's never really proven that he can be even a DECENT head coach, can be considered an improvement. Just makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Not real sure why the hiring of Turner took place, aside from the fact that he'll bring minimal amounts of change to a franchise that's in good shape. But the firing of Marty made perfect sense once his assistants were gone. He would have ended up hiring assistants and then leaving after next year, which would have left San Diego looking for a new head coach anyway, but being either stuck with Marty's assistants or having to buy out contracts. Once the opportunity presented itself to clear house completely, they jumped on it.

  9. Who are these people saying that? That's ridiculous. AJ Smith is known as having a great sense of talent and he's always willing to make the right move. The firing of Marty shows who has the power in San Diego. Only way AJ's going anywhere is if he gets a better offer, which would probably include a VP of player personnel title.

It was one of the NFL Total Access guys, I'm not sure but I think it was Adam Schefter that said it was possible, which doesn't neccesarily mean that it will. He was also the guy who reported that the Raiders were going to fire Art Shell 2 weeks before the season ended, so he's a pretty credible source. The show is going to be replayed tomorrow so I'ma see who said it and post it here.

  10. Frankly, I like the Chargers, but I hope this backfires on them and Smith gets fired at the end of the next season, but that probably won't happen.

actually, there are some people saying that it might even be as soon as after the NFL draft, it's a longshot, but it seems like a possibility.

  11. Main Card

Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie (she's the opponent) - 1st round KO

Seth Kleinbeck vs. Riki Fukuda - Decision

Bo Cantrell vs. Tim Persey - TKO, 2nd round

Adriano Periera vs. Javier Vazquez - Decision

  12. Even as a hardcore Colts fan (back since the Dickerson days...born and raised an hour from Indy...nice try, syck), I still for the life of me can't figure out who keeps voting Tarik "Captain False Start" Glenn to go to Hawaii every year. The next Colts game I see that doesn't involve him making MULTIPLE goofy penalties or other mistakes may just be the first.

And quite honestly, the NFL is a brutal enough game without having to subject these guys to one more meaningless exhibition. IMO, the Pro Bowl simply needs to just go away.

  13. And it looks like Dallas' search is over, reports indicate they will announce Wade Phillips as their new head coach. IMO, it's a great move considering how good he is at defensive schemes, especially ones that involve pass-rushing OLB's that have speed. DeMarcus Ware will tear some shit up in the same defense as Merriman. I'm not saying he's better than Merriman, but he'll be utilized a lot better by Phillips than by Zimmer. Good move by Dallas.

And I guess that Norv Turner lost the job after he said that Garrett wasn't ready to even be a coordinator, which is a no-no considering how high Jones is/was on Garrett. I'm just happy the Niners are able to keep Turner and Singletary, unless the Cowboys offer Singletary a job as D-Coordinator, which is always possible, but I anticipate him to stay with the Niners regardless.

Oh and the Lions do have some talent, just very underutilized. Alex Lewis jumps out as a guy who could make an impact on D if given some grooming by the right person. Not to mention Roy Williams has yet to reach his full potential IMO as I think he could be the game's best receiver if he put his mind to it. They should be looking at QB's in the draft though. Maybe not with the first pick, but in later rounds. There are a few prospects out there (Kevin Kolb, Jordan Palmer, Jared Zabransky) that could make good QB's if they sit behind Kitna for awhile. Kitna's a good QB to have while you're grooming a young QB, just ask Hasselbeck and Carson Palmer.

  14. "It's fun." Ha, that actually made me laugh out loud. Obviously, I'm glad Jordan and Danny got together and I actually liked the input of Wendy. I figured she'd be there for a hook up that would really drive a wedge between Matt and Harriett, but she served a purpose.

    Edit: Yea, typo.

  15. All of the entrants are horrible. It's a stereotype kind of show anyway, just look at the title. They act like Eminem is the only white rapper with skills.

A-yep. I watched about half an episode, and that was 3/4 an episode more than I needed to see.

And the show has serious lack of credibility because of the host. They could have at least tried to get someone people actually gave a damn about when they were active as a performer, not a guy from an act so lame I can't even remember their name despite being into rap back then.

  16. 85 Bears were the best superbowl team, dominant.

As far as last year's HOFers...Reggie White got in, I remember his son and wife.

Edit: Confused myself. Aikman, Warren Moon were last year. <_<
