Clara is CAL. "If something is remembered, it can be brought back."
CAL uses the term "clever boy" a lot. Clara calls herself a clever girl.
Both created artificial realities to keep themselves safe.
Now this would mean that CAL left the library, which would mean River Song is deleted. However, you can easily explain that CAL outgrew the library, transferred the data, etc.
It's not CAL, I've seen that theory a lot on Doctor Who forums, but it won't be. It's far to tenuous a link. Moffat reuses ideas frequently, doesn't mean it's the same character

I haven't played Game of Thrones for ages, our games tend to last about 5 hours and I spend most of it on the defensive. I suck at Game of Thrones! Some guy I know online had a twitter conversation with Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books, IT Crowd etc) who told him that he really wants to play Game of Thrones if there's anyone around Norwich who has it.
So there you go.
Actually going to a friends house to play that tomorrow! Can't wait, it's such a fun game.
I just got Pandemic yesterday, really excited to play that. Also recently picked up Smash Up which is really fun too.

Ye my local game shop is putting on an event which I'll pop to. Anyone know what freebies are in the pack you get? I know there's some promo stuff for Gloom, but that's about it.

Absolutely amazing! Wales were brilliant, England just couldn't keep up. From
The first scrum we had the measure of them. Not a bad performance in the side. Couldn't be happier. And first time since the 70's we'd defended a championship

Ye it'll be because another player wore that number earlier in the competition. Happened to us when Carroll signed and had to wear 19 in Europe as Torres had previously worn the 9 shirt
-
Where did you get Legendary from Hamster? I really want to try it, but I thought it wasn't getting a European release?
-
I was planning to vote for it, but then it said came out in 2012 in it's country of origin and it's a British film. It was released over here 11th January. If I can vote for it it's going at number 1

I completely disagree there, Eddie Redmayne is a far better Marius than Nick Jonas. And I also enjoyed Crowe as Javert, his voice suited the role and it's by no means awful at all (he's not the strongest though either). Also, yeah, Samantha Barks was wonderful here, as she was in the 25th Anniversary concert. Of course, here she had a much better Marius to work with. -
Had Dominion, traded it away. Just couldn't get into it really.
Anyway, got a few new games through trades / Secret Santa for Christmas.
Traded for a 90s German game called Elfenland which sounds a bit silly but has a great core mechanism.
Then from BoardGameGeek Secret Santa I was very very fortunate to get a solo wargame called Field Commander: Napoleon (fight all of Napoleon's campaigns) and a card game called Android: Netrunner, based on an older CCG called Netrunner but re-released with Deus Ex-style graphics and with the collectible aspect taken away from it. One player plays a hacker trying to hack into the computer system of the other player who is a big evil corporation who is trying to complete nefarious tasks and keep the hacker out.
Also just received a copy of A Few Acres of Snow which I have no idea who or what it's from except that it's "super secret santa". It uses the deckbuilding of Dominion but as part of a wargame between Britain and France, fighting for control of Canada.
Also got a copy of WIngs of War cheaply which is a cool little World War 1 dogfighting game.
I quite like the look of Android: Netrunner and A Few Acres of Snow. The latter seems to have a great theme.
I'm looking at getting War of the Ring soon. I enjoy the theme quite a bit, and I quite often play two player stuff with my brother so it works out quite nicely. I really like the look of Pandemic as well so that's another probable buy.

If we end up paying £18m for Sturridge and Ince we should just give up and fold.
I'm sure I read somewhere that while the actual quoted price for Ince is £6 million, we won't pay all of that because Blackpool will owe us about £2 million from the sell on clause from when we sold him.
And I don't see £12 million as excessive for Sturridge, he's young, he's not close to the end of his contract and Chelsea don't need to sell. I wouldn't say we've been fleeced as wel have in the past.

I think Mo Farrah or Bradley Wiggins will get the main award. There's no doubt Team of the Year is Team GB. I'd like to see Jade Jones get Young Personality of the Year too, a great Gold out of nowhere.
-
Ye I've got LeafGreen, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Black. So I'm good with any of those versions

Weirdly, my favorite new feature is probably the fact that there are more referee's per division. Cause I try to play through a prem season by playing every game and it's nice to not see Derrick Millborrow reffing 4 games at 3pm on saturday. Just something that OCD me noticed.
What??

That was brilliant. A lot of strong rounds today. That last putt by Kaymer was stupidly tense. Great comeback Europe!

It's a complete joke that Terry only gets 4 games when Suazez got 8. Found guilty of the same thing but Terry gets half the ban. Where the hell is the logic. Obviously throwing a temper tantrum and quitting playing for England has worked.
Maybe the fact an actual court of law found him not guilty should be remembered.
Different methods of finding him guilty though. There's a big difference between "beyond reasonable doubt" and "balance of probabilities". Same way that a civil case can be brought against someone after a court finds them not guilty of criminal charges

Ye Vincent and The Doctor had such a well written ending. It also handled some quite adult themes (depression, suicide) very well in a show primeraly aimed at family's and children.

On GhostMachine's Dalek question (possibly contains a classic spoiler if I'm remembering it rightly:
Doesn't he blow up Skaro at the end of Rememberance of the Daleks? Been a while since I've seen it. I might watch it again at some point, I seem to remember it being fantastic.
Ye the Seventh Doctor uses the Hand of Omega to destroy Skaro in Rememberance. I guess it was brought back after the Big Bang 2 at the end of Matt Smith's 1st series or something

Just saw the preview for the next episode I am about to watch and River Song introduced herself. I was so excited like "Hey Rivers back!" then I realized this is probably her first episode. I'm like the Doctor. I met her in her future and am going backward.
Yes I am geeking out just a bit too much over this show
Welcome to the club! There are so many moments that I find myself geeking over on Doctor Who. And ye, Donna is brilliant, the way he changes over the series is a credit to the great scripts and good acting from
Catherine Tate
-
Donna is simply superb! I loved Catherine Tate playing he too. Martha was hamstrung by RTD's obsession with making everything about Rose bloody Tyler all the time (Jo was an awful unlike able character) and was written to be not as good as Rose so bloody obviously that it killed the character for a lot of people.
Tennant is probably my favourite Doctor. Mostly because he's the actor I started watching the show with and later on just how good I thought season 4 was. There's a run of Episodes from Uniorn and the Wasp Until the en that for me is just amazing and has two episodes where Russell T Dcies writes something that's not overblown and ridiculous.
Mary Smith has an awful lot of the 2nd Doctor about him which I love. He is fast approaching Tennant in my estimation, but I agree that the way the characters are written helps that an awful lot.

Ye I think we've cut enough off the wage bill to be ok with a short term deal, especially if he takes a pay as you play deal

I did Tabletop Day at my local Game Store. Only got to play one quick game of something, I forget what it was called though, was a bit like snap and surprisingly quite fun.
Also managed to pick up Marvel Legendary, so really pleased with that!
