  1. With france you never know which team

Will turn up - the world beaters or the surrender monkeys! I hope and think Wales are more than capable of getting to the final, winning it would mean beating one of the big three, South Africa ( we almost did in the pool game and were unlucky not to), Australlia (beaten by Ireland and looking vunerable) or New Zealand (ummmmmm....).

  2. It was a clear penalty, Jagielka comes right through the back of him. Suarez's reaction is OTT, but the majority of players would have gone down in a fairly similar way.

Fears about Adam being confirmed here, though. A pastiche of Alonso.

I think Adam's doing alright, he knocks the ball around quite well. Yes he's no Alonso, but hardly anyone is. He does a job, and will probably be on the bwnch when Gerrard is fit again anyway

  3. You mean the guy who has spent 100 million and is delivering, well, mediocrity?

Hardly mediocrity compared to where we were when he took over though is it! It's not even Christmas and we're 5th. We finished 6th last year and when Kenny took

Over Woy was doing his best to get us relegated. So that's ever so slightly harsh to say he's delivered mediocrity!!

  4. I wouldn't trust Flanagan with this ref though, he'd probably get sent off.

This game has been so depressing to watch. I'd move Carragher to right back because Skrtel doesn't have a clue about positioning whatsoever at right back and even if he doesn't have the pace atleast Carragher can play right back.

I agree about Carra, that said I wouldn't play either of them, at least Flannagan has some pace to cope with Bale. Carragher woul be eaten alive!

  5. Andy Powell is too 1 dimentional and often loses the ball in the ruck. I think that Faletau come good.

I think against the Boks we need someone a bit one dimentional. They'll play a massively physical and dirty game, so being able to fight fire with fire in some way would be a handy thing

  6. Wales Line Up vs South Africa

James Hook; George North, Jon Davies, Jamie Roberts, Shane Williams; Rhys Priestland, Mike Phillips; Paul James, Huw Bennett, Adam Jones, Luke Charteris, Alun Wyn Jones, Dan Lydiate, Sam Warburton (capt), Toby Faletau.

Replacements: Ryan Bevington, Lloyd Burns, Bradley Davies, Andy Powell, Tavis Knoyle, Scott Williams, Leigh Halfpenny.

Playing Faletau is such a bad idea, would have been better off with Andy Powell for a bit more physicality and agression. Supprised he's playing Charteris and not Bradley Davis too if I'm honest.

  7. Since we're listing:

    Tennant - Smith - Davidson - Tom Baker - McGann - Pertwee - Troughton - McCoy - Ecclesone - Hartnell - Colon Baker.

And I don't even really dialoke Colon Baker, his run is juat the weekest i feel. Tennant will alway be "My Doctor" the one who I started with, even if I can't stand a lot of RTD's stuff (he wrote one or twobdecwnt episodes but i thi k he's mostly a self congratulating hack). Matt Smith is running his awfulky close though

  8. and a big loss for Liverpool too you'd have to day.

    Not really.

Had a purple patch just after Kenny had taken over but other than that he was really average at best. Shits out of tackles and has a habit of going missing for long stretches of games.

To be honest I'm more disappointed that Aquilani went than Meireles.

I'm just a bit miffed we didn't hold Chelsea up for more or insisted on Sturridge or Malouda in exchange.

  9. Faletau is one for the future, he's been good for the Dragon's this year.

I just don't see him makibg the step from club rugby to the international stage. Playing well in the Magners is one thing, but a World Cup is a whole different class, and I don't think Faletau has the quality to make that step. I' feel a lot more confortable with Ryan Jones at 8.

Out of interest, what's your opinion of Andy Powell?

Soild hand and good at the breakdown. Also great for al comedy value
