Pirates of The Carribean: At Worlds End: 6/10: A good ending, the last half hour saveed the film.
Knocked Up: 9.5/10
Best film of the year, just as good as The 40 Year Old Virgin, another comedy classic from John Apatow, I think thats enough praising

28 Weeks Later: 6/10
Some really bad scenes made by bad decisions by the characters (and the script) does not take down the fact its still a fun horror film with more good than bad going for it and amazing shots that made 28 days later look so good, and the best horror film this year so far. 28 days later is superior, but as a sequal it could of been a lot worse...bring on 28 months later. Come to think of it, if you count Death Proof as a horror film, then its the second best horror film this year.

As a Leafs fan...although I can't believe I'm saying this...but GO SENS GO!! (Hey, at least they didn't beat the leafs in the playoffs........yet :pinch: )
You Sens fans are so lucky, I wish I can feel what you guys are feeling soon....anyway I will never forgive Buffalo's theatrics when Leafs missed the playoffs last year, and although it was one player doing the "golf" shot at the end of the game, he's still part of the team.

Some of the stuff from The strokes might be good like "Someday" and "What ever Happened"

Spiderman 3: 7/10
It's the best number 3 film of any superhero film but it lacks the focus of the 2nd and 1st film. Still an enjoyable film and a great start to what will become the best summer movie season ever.

No Direction Home: 9/10
Martin Scorcese + Bob Dylan= Awesomeness. I didn't expect much less though, since its all about my favourite artist made by one of my favourite directors.
-
Grindhouse: 9/10
This is really a Theatre experience and must be seen at the cinemas. Both movies are great and the faux trailers must be seen to be believed!

Pink Floyd: The Wall: 7/10
I finally got to see it, and well it was worth the blind buy. The music is awesome, and well, I can't really explain why I liked it, its not for everyone, but those masks the kids wore creeped me out.

Another great horror film that really got me(almost as bad as Alien) is the Descent....which is by far the best horror film since Scream.

It just doesn't seem likely that his work will trump Saw ticketwise.

The Covenant: 2/10
Yuck. Nothing else to say except it sucks. It's almost the worst film ever made, but then when you have......
It Had To Be You: 0.5/10
.....then your like the second worst film ever made. Next time I'm going to Blockbuster.

The song is all kinds of awesome, didn't get into the album yet, but I guess its not good.

Flushed Away: 7/10: Surprised I enjoyed it this much.

Another reason not to get a PS3, and just stay with my 360 and Wii. Now I only have 2 reasons to purchase a PS3, MGS4 and Final Fantasy 13. But those games are not worth playing on a $600 plus system.

Premonition:  /10= 2/10
I should have seen Zodiac again.
-
Dead Silence: 3.5/10
At least Seed of Chucky had Jennifer Tily.
-
Same old Good Charlotte to me  At least their putting an effort I guess to sound not too terrible. But I do have to say, I find the song "The Anthem" highly catchy.

Bridge to Terabithia: 8/10: This is how a family film should get made. Great acting by the children too, but one of my friends hated since he thought it would be some type of Narnia fantasy film.....which it is not. It's deeper, and better, and this is coming from a huge fan of Narnia.

Breach: 7/10: An enjoyable movie on one of the biggest CIA mole ever. Great acting from Chris Cooper, but not really worth seeing it at the big screen. A highly recommended rental though.
-
Zodiac: 8/10: It kinda drags in the second half of this almost 3 hour film, but with that minor gripe, I found it one of Fincher's best. Their are also a couple of chilling scenes that only Fincher could do. Their was also Great performances from all cast members, but Mark Ruffalo steals the show. He really needs to get out of the Romantic Comedies and do more films like this. The funny thing is, I even enjoyed him in those comedies. Robert Downey was also a standout, and I'm eagerly anticipating what he does with Ironman. This film is what the Good Shepard should of been....interesting even though it's really dialogue driven. This film is really about the characters wrapped around breaking the identity of the zodiac, and not really about the actual killer. Just don't expect se7en.

7.5/10
A totally unqiue monster movie that includes humour and political satire(more than I expected) and focuses on the characters the entire way through. It's a hghly enjoyable film with great thrills at the beginning.

EWB's 2nd annual Film Awards has begun!! The ceremony opens now, and will finish later tonight. I'll be adding more winners to the first post as time goes on.

Hannibal Rising: 5/10
Kind of boring, and I didn't really like the young hannibal, but their were some good scenes-like the kills, and beginning portion. I would recommend to just watch Silence of The Lambs.

I wanted more Sarah Silverman, she was hilarious, spotlight of the show, too bad the Academy would never let her host their show. Even though the nominees this year were as bad as every year, the show was more entertaining than it has any right to be (especially after the past shows) thanks to a great host.
