  1. 'Bama has to be #1 after this week. Texas should be #2. PSU will more then likely be third unless they do something wacky and leap frog someone a bunch of spots....

I'm actually interested to see what the pollsters do this Monday. First off 8-11 currently go as followed; USC, BYU, Georgia, Florida. USC has that embarassing loss against Oregon State, BYU is undefeated (though arguably untested), Georgia's only loss is to the number one ranked team in the country, and Florida just defeated the #3 team in the country by 30 points. Because USC is USC, I seriously doubt they will get jumped, but the people behind them have an impressive resume that USC simply does not.

  2. I totally agree. Wilson should not have been fined for the hit. Seriously, what more could Wilson have done? He kept his head up, wrapped up the quarterback, and then didn't drive him into the turf. It's not his fault Edward's head bounced off the ground... and if the NFL was just intent on charging him for roughing up a quarterback, 25k is WAY to much considering Eric Smith of the Jets tried to fucking murder Boldin just last week and all the NFL did was charge him 50k and gave him a week off.... that still angers me

  3. I totally forgot about the Martz/Williams connection from Detriot, so yeah Williams would be the better choice all the way around. However as I said, I'm not getting my hopes up on anything, a WR, Tackle, new commentator (Eric Smith isn't bad, though)

  4. Big rumor going around that T.J Houshmenzadah and or Roy Williams will be traded to San Francisco before the deadline.

I would LOVE to see this happen as a Niner fan. Either would be good, though I would perferr Roy Williams because of his ties to Texas ( ) though the trade may be better to TJ considering he would put up better numbers. However I refuse to get my hopes up about either until I see this actually happen.

  5. Someone gets raped, and Butter's is busy, scheming with Cartman. BLAH! If anyone should be the first to be raped on South Park it should have be Butters.

... that is unless you count Garrison getting raped by his dad.

  6. I need some advice for my college pick 'em this week. Who should win between LSU at Florida I can't be open minded about this due to my hatred for LSU and man crush for Tebow ( ) and my only logical reasoning would be Florida, since I typically always take (the top 6) SEC home teams at night. And does anyone else think Miss St COULD possibly be a trap game for Vandy?

  7. I completely disagree. Buck and Natz are the voices of their given network. Buck is AMAZING on baseball telecast, and is very good at football considering it's his second sport. He's no Al Michaels... but who is? And Natz's first sport is basketball, followed more then likely by golf. Football is third for him. So considering both are out of their element, I think both do a great job.

And who else would replace Aikman or Simms as the analyst? Moose? The dad from Webster? There really isn't anyone to choose from considering most of the time the networks put the rest of the talented workers in their 19 man pregame show.

And as for MNF, what more can be said? TK is someone you are either going to love or hate. Trico is bland, but in a three man announce team you almost have to have that. The one that gets me is Jaws. He is my favorite ESPN anaylst, but they really need someone with a ton of personality in that booth to offset TK. Michael Irvin would be great. Shannon Sharpe from CBS, Deion Sanders from the NFL network... someone who has a forceful personality, where as Jaws is more laid back. Maybe Keyshawn Johnson?

  8. I don't really mind TK. I listened to his radio show a lot while I was doing homework in the mornings, and still watch PTI on a daily basis, but I would perfer someone more established such as Aikman in the booth. On the other hand, Jaws is great on ESPN, but I've never warmed up to him inside the booth. However since I despise John Madden... ANYONE is better then Madden. And Theisman... fuck that dude, too.

However ESPN has totally clusterfucked the pregame show. NBC comes in a close second. The NFL network does it pretty well. FoX, too. But IMO ESPN should have never messed with their combo of Michael Irvin and Steve Young. That was GOLD and I enjoyed that combo the best.

  9. ... that's kinda what I was wondering. Not to pile on Notre Dame, but I would have thought last week's victory over Illonis (all be it was a night home game) would be more impressive then a victory over Purdue who as previously stated lost by two scores to the Irish.

However what the fuck do I know about college football? I picked USC and Florida to play in title game.

  10. Eric Smith (the Jets Corner) should be suspended for at least two games for that dirty, head shot on 'Q. I understand "helmet-to-helmet" collisons are going to happen from time to time, and I am all for big Roy Williams' esque big hits, but he wasn't even in the play. He came in late, and could EASILY ended 'Qs career. The NFL should come down on this fool hard, but I doubt they will since Arizona isn't a high profile team.

... and lol @ Favre throwing his sixth td pass on 4th and 5 with 2:00 to go in the game and his team up by two touchdowns. :lmao:

  11. I actually like the idea of all NBA teams retiring #23 for Jordan. He meant so much to the sport, and despite the fact I love LeBron James,... I distain fact that he wears #23, and markets himself as the next "Jordan". He should stand on his own merrit, as far as marketing goes. As stated, even with King James, when you see a #23 on a basketball jersey, you instantly think of Jordan.

  12. Wake me when October ends... seriously. ESPN is acting like a female on her period, over reacting and shyt.

"OMG, USC should drop out of the top ten"... Mark May

Really? Cause 'ya know last year a team with TWO losses (both to unranked teams) lost their last game on the road, and that didn't drop them out of the top ten. In fact they barely fell outta the top five, and because of the clusterfuck ending that college football had, they STILL played in the national title game.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm happy for OSU fans... it was a nice win, but does anyone really NOT think USC will still win the Pac 10 even after last night?

  13. It's laughable when ESPN puts up that stat that the Lions have won one fewer game then the expansion Texans over MM's reign... considering the Texans didn't actually start playing football until a year later.

Though, I don't know if this situation is the a 'great' thing for Lions fans. True, MM is gone, but the ownership group which initially hired him, and then allowed him to stay around for 7/8 years are still running the teams. So as scary as it sounds... the same people who hired MM in the first place, will be the ones who hire his replacement.

...yah, I'm sure things will turn around FAST.

  14. Yeah, I believe that's correct that when a player goes on IR, you cannot use him for the entire serason. However his salary doesn't count towards the salary cap, nor does he count towards your roster. Which in the Patriot's case, the roster spot is more valuable then Brady's 8-10 millon dollar cap space considering how the Patriot's operate.

  15. Poor..Poor..UCLA..DMN must have offed himself after that one..or he's still alive and is partying like a rockstar with Oakland putting up 300 rushing yards today.

He's more then likely preparing to de-nut you for dropping the 'garentee' card, and putting the jinx on his Bruins.
