I bought a Gamecube about a year ago and as cool as a couple of the games are (granted, I haven't played that many) I just don't think its worth getting because there just isn't enough games that interest me. I got it to "give it a chance" and it impressed me with a couple of games but that was about it.
For instance, say I get a £400 budget to spend over a year on games. I could spend £400 and easily get all the games I'd be interested in for the Gamecube. Translate that budget to say, a PS2, and I could spend £400 on PS2 games and still be wanting to buy others when the money is gone.
I've fell off the gaming wagon a LOT the past couple of years. Got back on for GTA: San Andreas and the last Metal Gear game and probably wont get back on until the new Final Fantasy comes out. I'm willing to give anything a shot so I'm not here to hate on the new Nintendo, I just wont be looking forward to its release. Like the Gamecube, I'll probably hear and like the sound of a couple of games and then buy it when there's a really good offer on, play it a couple of months and that'll be it.
