  1. Maya and Sylar: Glad to see Sylar back on the path, but now I find it hard to see how anyone could possibly stop him, especially if that injection taught him how to heal. Question is, where the fuck was being showed how he gets his powers? We've been promised it all season and there's no delivery! Maya I could've easilly been happy to keep dead, but now she may be the only one who can stop Sylar and she's a lot better now she's free of Alejandro.

Um...what episode were YOU watching? They did the "End of Volume 2" thing and then came back from ad break to reveal Volume 3 (entitled "Villians"). Where Sylar injects himself in a alley way (looking like a junk head) with ALL of the blood and starts to heal completely all the wounds he got. Then he goes on to get a tin can to shoot across the alley way and into his hand, says "I'm back" and we fade into a "To be continued".

  2. Yeeeeah...sorry but this sucks, the ending Rose and Who had was a great bit of TV history & provided even more depth to the already well developed character. Now this just screams of them going the "American" way about it and adding on a potential happy ending for the two love birds. If not and it's to build to some thing else (like they get split up again), unless done correctly than that's even worse reason to bring the Rose character back so soon.

  3. I've been into them for a while and I can safely say it is near laughable to compare MSI to NIN, they are nothing alike. KMFDM is more on the spot, considering that is one of their influences and they've toured with them & are buddies with them and have had them remix twice one of their songs. I enjoy them, but I wouldn't call them epic or even state they are any where near the label of one of the greatest bands ever or any thing. I've noticed recently a lot more "scene" kids have been getting into them which is a shame as it'll no doubt overhype them. But, eh, least they'll get a good(/better) pay check from it at least.

  4. Like others have said, I grew up watching the Wizard of Oz and this has me pretty excited for the possible outcome. Sure it could fizzle out like a lot of potential franchises have, or, it could become a huge success. I'm hoping that middle ground found is some thing similar to a solid PG-13 at the very least as a PG would almost be not worth doing. Since the original Wizard of Oz movie is so burned into the minds of our society, doing some thing similar would never compare. But, doing some thing completely different (like the darker spin Todd wants) could give you the room of not having to worry about "living up to the old one".

Plus, from what I gather from this little bit of info and the books all being short stories, I think they are going the Sin City route. Put a handful of them in each movie and maybe help five or six of them to get every story on the silver screen and milk the franchise. Only problem I see with that is some Oz fans will be pissed if this flops before they see their favorites of the stories. Ah well, either way I'm looking forward to it.

  5. MSI and Linkin Park were the only things that made me half tempted to attend this tour really. Pretty much every other band on it that I'm aware of I'm completely indifferent towards to an alarming degree.

And what are you two talking about a backlash between MSI and LP? Eh? I feel like I missed some thing here.

  6. I took a sigh of relief when I read that a while back, simply because the only time the Penguin's made much sense (or use) was when he was a weapons dealer to the other baddies. Sure there have been a few exceptions to that, but the character doesn't translate well to other media forms of Batman (as seen in every series done of Batman and Batman Returns). He is one of the few remaining elements of campy style that still remains in the Batman universe to this day. Much like Robin, if I never see him in another movie it'll be too soon for my taste.

There's a lot of female characters they could use though keep in mind. With Harley Quinn only being introduced like 15 years ago it's not like she's "essential". Catwoman, however, is essential at some point in this franchise.
  7. Personally, on the topic of Harley, I'd save her introduction until the third movie of this new Batman franchise. It would be great to see foreshadowing with her reviewing Joker and talking with him as apart of his court trial. Eventually leading to either him ending up at the asylum where she works (and the two get even closer after inkling of some thing in the third movie) or she is the one that helps him escape during the trial. Either way, it would help keep the Joker character fresh if he's in it for the long haul (which he thankfully looks like he is) and would be brilliant to see the Joker/Harley relationship on the big screen.

  8. Agreed, Ledger has been in loads of other stuff that has shown his acting range. Honestly, some people need to get over Brokeback Mountain, the rest of the world has. And as much as I enjoyed Jack's portrayal, I have to agree that I have a feeling Ledger will out do the performance. Simply because he won't be trying to compete with Jack's manner by the sounds of it, but rather going the other route with the character. (While Jack at times played the Joker dark, he was a much more cartoony and slap-stick version of the character. Where as Ledger's version appears to be a much more darker and demented Joker than ever seen on the big screen.)

  9. Also, who is to say that it is the Riddler in this movie? It may very well just be Edward Nygma pre-transformation (sort to speak), much like Harvey's cameo in DK. Which if that is the case, it will make me enjoy Nolan's Batman franchise all the more than I already did. (Planting the seeds for not one, but two villians as well as one returning briefly and obviously the arrival of the Joker.)

I swear, I at times think Nolan must have sold his soul or some thing to get what looks like possibly the best comic book movie franchise (in terms of cast and writing) ever seen so far. At this rate, he could easily dethrone the two many believe to be the best so far (Spiderman and X-Men).

  10. I could've sworn at one point that was apart of their plan to (to at least reference him once or twice every movie). Which I personally loved too as he is one third of my favorite trio of Batman villians (Joker, Two-Face, and Scarecrow). Though, unfortunately, it looks like that plan has been derailed. Sucks, it would've made the movies all the more richer to have Scarecrow and Joker constantly popping up as reoccuring characters each movie (at least in form of cameos or at most as the actual main villian).

  11. That's actually been pretty well known by most for a few months now if memory serves me right. As well as rumors of that plot device months before even that. Either way, I personally will look forward to it as it'll keep the Joker around & possibly if done right, give each movie the same theme yet not be repetitive. (Have the third revolve around the fore mentioned spoiler involving the Joker until at least the half way point and you could do some thing special with it.)

  12. There are a few chapters in Order of the Phoenix like that for me (can't remember what exact chapter numbers they are right now). Mostly the ones where Harry is being a emo twat and angsting over being the "chosen one" and other such mindless tribble. (Yes, I know Voldemort was supposed to be the cause for most of that...but it doesn't change the fact that Harry was a twat and that it was utterly painful to read at times.)

  13. Mine would look like this...

    1.)Deathly Hallows

    2.)Goblet of Fire

    3.)Half-Blood Prince

    4.)Prisoner of Azkaban

    5.)Chamber of Secrets

    6.)Order of the Phoenix

    7.)Philosopher's Stone

Yes, I really disliked OotP that much, though oddly I enjoyed the movie more than the actual book (which is a rare thing for me).

As for the movies, they'd probably rank like this...

    1.)Goblet of Fire

    2.)Order of the Phoenix

    3.)Prisoner of Azkaban

    4.)Chamber of Secrets

    5.)Philosopher's Stone

While a lot was left out of (or severely cut down) from GoF and OotP movies, they were still the two most solid and entertaining ones so far. With PoA coming in at a close third due to how it lacked so little (of importance, at least) that the book had originally in it. As well as it was impressive to see it tie up so neatly like it did in the book. (Also I <3 crazy Sirius, that was a fine bit of acting.)
