  1. The press conference is on now. Rogan looked nervous as hell there (and they screwed up calling GSP Frankie Edgar and Frankie Edgar was called GSP).

They will air 4 cards a year on FOX on Saturdays. And 6 cards and 2 seasons of Ultimate Fighter on FX a year. These will all apparently run on Friday nights.

Ultimate Fighter will be live on FX, according to Dana White. They explained this further. They will film the show the week of that fight and edit to air on Fridays. The fight will air live.

First card on Fox will be November 12th.

Prelims and the shows like Unleashed will be airing on Fuel.

They will also do the pre/post shows like they did for Versus. I think they said these will also air on Fuel.

Gladiator opening is not going to be used anymore. Said they will be changing the entire look of the opening, so that means a new theme song as well.

  2. So, after Dana White stated a few months ago that he would not commission shop for Chael Sonnen like Strikeforce did for Josh Barnett, it looks like they changed their minds on that idea. Chael Sonnen's next fight looks to be in Houston, Texas at UFC 136 and it'll be a light heavyweight bout against Lyoto Machida.

That card will also have Jose Aldo defending the featherweight title against Kenny Florian.

  3. He was fired.

From Meltzer: The unanswered questions keep going. Dana White just announced that Nate Marquardt was no longer with the UFC. It was a short message where White said that Marquardt had failed his medicals and is not only off the show, but out of the UFC, without giving any explanation.

  4. G4 is in a lot less homes than Spike, and barely over half even know it exists apparently.

I found this information on it: Spike is in 99 million homes and G4 is in 53 million homes and according to then-Comcast President Ted Harbert "just 53% of homes who receive the channel know it exist."

  5. Breaking Bad is such a great show. I don't know why it took me this long to watch it, but I really like it. I am only three episodes into the first season right now and will be watching the fourth one tonight.

Also, is there really a point in me watching Parks and Recreation season one? If I end up skipping this god-awful boring episodes, will I not get some things by just jumping to season two? Then again, I will probably end up finishing off the first season anyways for completeness sake, but man, this 20-minute show feels like such a choir to watch and I've only seen two over a couple of days. It will just probably take me a few weeks at this pace. :shifty:

  6. I think that if they sign Melendez to the same contract that Diaz is on in the near future like they are working on currently, then he'll get first shot against the Edgar/Maynard winner and then they'll maybe match up Guida with the winner of Miller/Henderson to determine the next challenger after that.

  7. The final two episodes of Chicago Code were what the entire season need to be about. They were both really good. When they focused more on Gibbons instead of the story of the week (which were mostly not that interesting and just made it seem like your standard police procedural), it was really good. I also liked Jarek finding out more about his brother's undercover cop work.

After idolizing his brother, Jarek finds out that he wasn't the perfect cop he always assumed he was, and even used it to help take down Gibbons, even if it meant dragging this once decorated officer through the mud to do it.

And afer reading that Shawn Ryan was going to make it so that every 10-13 episodes focused on a new villian and that Delroy Lindo was only signed for one season and might have appeared for two-three more, they why did they have Gibbons stuck to the background for all those middle episodes where we focused on uninteresting story of the week stuff that ends up having nothing to do with anything at the end of the day? They really should have done a better job in the middle of the season. Maybe that was a network call or that was how Shawn Ryan wanted it to be. Who knows, but at least they went out with those final two episodes being strong.

  8. Also, do you get a chance to just drive around town WITHOUT your partner being with you?

If you go to the cases menu on the main menu, then go to the traffic desk, there is an option there to do free roam. I am not sure if you have your partner around for that, though, since I have yet to try it out. This way you don't have to worry about the main story being there to play.
