  1. Actually, he had bacon.

And since when was speculation not allowed on the internet? Don't get me wrong, I've always liked Parisyan, I enjoy watching him fight, but to me, the best indicator of whether he's pulled himself together is the way he conducts himself in and around his fights. Since his release, he's had one fight, and a story reported on most MMA sites indicates that he didn't handle it particularly well from a mental standpoint. Judging from that, I don't think he's ready to be back in UFC. I like him, and I want to be wrong, but from the evidence I've seen/read, it's a premature rehiring.

Oh, for the record, me jumping to conclusions would be making an outright, definitive statement along the lines of Karo being a fucking whackjob/on pills and shit, and that he should be nowhere near any kind of top-level MMA. I don't think that, nor did I say or imply that. I gave an opinion based on apparently reliable information, which I conceded may not be 100% accurate at any rate. Thanks for jumping down my throat about something I didn't even really do though, it's always nice to be lambasted for no reason.

  2. Less than a year after he wasn't fighting at 106 or ever again in UFC?

I welcome Paul Daley's return in spring.

Dana said shortly after Karo's release that if he got himself together he would welcome him back.

Don't remember reading that anywhere, and even if he did say that, the guy's had one fight since his release, which he supposedly had to get moved to the first fight of the night because he was having anxiety problems. Hardly what I'd call getting yourself together.

  5. I thought it was slightly heavy on the new stuff (everything but Old Haunts and We Did It When We Were Young), but since the album's been out just over a week, it's to be expected. Only Drive and We Came To Dance from SOS. :( Still, great show.

Also, Glasgow can go fuck itself, apparently they got "We're Getting A Divorce..." :(

  6. I met him at Leeds fest and had a picture with the entire band and got my shit signed. I am not jealous at all.

    :)

If you remove the picture and the shifty, my previous post is still valid. :)

  7. WE. ARE. PREMIER LE... Never mind. Match was great yesterday. Everyone sitting around me was positive about the team for a change and Coloccini's chant may be my new favourite football chant. It's a big ask for us to stay up next season but I hope we do, I hate the Championship.

Oh, come on, man. Coloccini's is genius, but nothing beats the new Andy Carroll one.

  8. Six hours' gap between the scheduled end of GSP/Hardy and kickoff for Burnley/Blackburn, surely that's ample sleeping time?

Unless you have a ticket to the latter, of course.

Not sure if I'll be watching it, personally. I need to be up at 9, and if I go out tomorrow night, it won't happen. If I stay in, I'll have an early night and wake back up for it, otherwise I'll be watching Sunday afternoon, spoiler-free.

  9. Saw Chuck at a free show he did after the Leeds gig on Thursday, and I was talking to him afterwards, he told me he'd been writing with Brian for an album, so I'd say it's looking more like being a collaborative one. I could be entirely wrong though, but the most important thing to come out of all this is that Chuck Ragan hugged me. :shifty:

  10. I'm 50/50 on whether to do this, or stay in Leeds that weekend and do Slam Dunk and Marina. Sunday doesn't really hold much interest for me, and most of the Monday stuff I'd like to see, I've seen quite recently, or have plans to see soon (Delphic, Slow Club, Frankmusik, Ellie Goulding). There's only really De La Soul and Dananananananananananananaykroyd that I'd be interested in that I won't be seeing in the near future otherwise.
