  1. (Y)

I had some issues with it, mainly not enough Catwoman (or Batman, for that matter) and the fact that it took it's time to get going, but hot damn, the rapid-fire twists and surprises at the end. Wow.

And how fucking great was Michael Caine?

    EDIT

And oh yeah, I saw this as part of an "All Knight Long" marathon and really, it's the best way to see the movie. Everything ties together so well and even though I was in a theater for 9 hours, it was so much fun.

I agree with you on all of those points. It sure took it's sweet ass time to get going but the climax was awesome. Great ending too.

  2. I would kill for something Power Man/Iron Fist related. Could be a movie/tv show/cartoon series/animated move. I dont care but I want it to happen in some form!

Heroes for Hire, with a bunch of other characters complimenting Cage/Fist, would also be acceptable.

Their appearance on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes was legendary. I was hoping maybe that was the start of a Heroes for Hire animated series. Sweet Christmas!

Also: a Guardians of the Galaxy movie?! Count me in. They better include Rocket Raccoon though.

  3. Okay, that was brutal. People expected something big, sure, and maybe it was cliché.. but that was just brutal.

Yeah, that was pretty brutal. Might be one of the most gruesome things I've seen in the comic. I was almost in tears when it happened too.

  4. It's going to be only the third-biggest superhero movie of the year which is really really weird for Spider-Man. But I'm really looking forward to an honest-to-goodness quippy Spider-Man.

    This.

The witty banter of Spider-Man was severely lacking from the 3 previous Spider-Man films.

  5. If you gave Spectacular Spider-Man the '90s Spider-Man's theme song you'd have the most unassailably good Spider-Man cartoon of all time.

I actually like the Spectacular Spider-Man theme, it's a catchy tune.

Also, I've seen the 90's Spider-Man show it's very faithful to the source material but it's lacking the humor of Spectacular Spider-Man. And like Benji said....not enough Gwen Stacy.

Also, Also, I love J. Johan Jameson's character in Spectacular Spidey. It reminds of J.K. Simmons JJ in the Spider-Man films. Another thing I like about the show is Spidey's suit takes damage. Which in the 90's show didn't happen as often as it did in Spectacular.

I'm going to watch the Spider-Man animated series from the early 2000's (since it's on Netflix) next with NPH as Spidey.

  6. So I finished watching The Spectacular Spider-Man and I'm pissed that it only lasted 2 seasons. The show was really starting to get good when they canceled it. Damn you Disney! :shakes fist:

I know, right? It was a great series. My only gripe with it was the art style; really not a fan of that at all. Other than that, I loved the pacing, the writing, everything else about it.

I was put off by the art style at first but it grew on me as the series continued. The pacing and the writing were excellent, probably the best animated Spider-Man show I've seen. The build to Eddie Brock becoming Venom, the complex relationship between Gwen Stacy and Peter, The Green Goblin, Flash Thompson's character arc. It's just things I thought I'd never really see in an animated kids show.

  7. When I think of The Batman it makes me think of that terrible animated show.

Yes he was originally The Batman but they dropped the the a long time ago. In most media and by the majority of people he's just referred to as Batman.

  8. I played through the full game now. Well episode 1 I mean. Game made me paranoid as hell. "Shawn will remember this" Is that good?!? Did I say something wrong???

Your words and actions will effect the entire story.

    Game Spoiler:

Although I don't think Shawn remembering what you said will matter much considering he's zombie chow. Also I don't mind the cameos so much. It provides a little back story on some of the characters. You find out how Shawn becomes a zombie, and why Glenn was in Atlanta.

 I know. At the time it scared me though. Apparently I am a terrible liar too. Hershel called me out. Is there a way to stay at the farm do you think? I tried to save Shawn but then I sided with Kenny when Hershel bitched him out so he kicked me out too. I was wondering if I had chosen different if it would have changed everything.

I sided with Hershel in my second playthrough, and he still kicked me out. It really doesn't matter which side you choose. It wouldn't make much sense anyway since you have to go to Macon. I played though a few times but I still haven't sided with Larry yet to kick Duck out of the pharmacy. Larry is such a dick though, I hope he gets eaten in Episode 2.

  9. I think at this point, coming in here without having seen it is kinda asking for trouble if you don't want it spoilt.

We American folk have to wait till next Friday to see it, thank you very much.

    Or do we…

Legally we have to. Besides I'd prefer to watch a movie of his magnitude on the big screen.

  12. Dodgers are going to win the West, and Kemp is going to be MVP. LA might even make it out of the NL at this rate.

Matt Kemp is a beast. Although that was a bone head double play in last nights game against the Braves.

The team I'm most impressed with though has to be the Washington Nationals. I think they finally have the right manager and a great rotation, one of the best bullpens in the league and some good young ballplayers.
