  3. IWS (the canadian promotion where the alumni includes: El Generico, Kevin Steen, Player Uno, Sexxxy Eddy and others) will close its doors this Saturday after their last show

So that promotion can be removed for the next update

IWS last show topic from the CZWfans board

If this is really the case, I nominate Pro Wrestling Ohio to be added to the data. I can give you stats on the full roster, event names, champions, the works.

Also, if it hasnt been done already, make JT Lightning a non-wrestler. He announced his retirement via the CAPW facebook page.

  4. It's not a sport that many people follow, I know, but I think this is going to be a big thing over the next couple of days; Shoya Tomizawa, who races in Moto2 (the new B series for Moto GP, as it were) was killed in a horrific accident during the San Marino GP today. Quite shockingly they continued the race after the accident even though it was obvious that he was seriously injured, which sort of calls back to Senna and Ratzenberger all those years ago. As if it weren't tragic enough, he was only 19 and this was only his second real season in any major competition. He was also the guy that I'd been supporting throughout the season so far ever since he won the first race, so it's particularly gutting in a way for me.

Alex de Angelis and Scott Redding are reportedly alright after the accident (they hit Tomizawa after he had come off his bike just in front of them), which is good news in itself but it panes in comparison to what happened. RIP Tomizawa :(

I am not familiar with motorcycle racing specifically but am a huge fan of most other forms of racing so this is sad news to hear. Especially for only being ninteen years old.

I remember back in 1994 being nine and seeing the race continue after Senna's crash and thinking it wasnt right to continue. It wouldnt have mattered if it were a racing god like Senna or a backmarker like Bertrand Gachot. I also remember J.D. McDuffie's fatal crash at Watkins Glen in a NASCAR race in 1991. However i also understand the old adage "The show must go on".

Either way, a horrible loss for the racing world. RIP Tomizawa.

  5. Can we FINALLY add a love relationship between Johnny Gargano and Portia Perez? Both Myspace and Facebook say they are in a relationship.

Secondly, there is no way that Gregory iron deserves the stats hes got. I would drop them drastically.

    Brawl: 23

    Speed: 43

    Tech: 38

    Selling: 63

    Stiffness: 39

    Charisma: 45

    Over: 35

Maybe also change his gimmick from underdog to inspirational leader. Having cerebral palsy seems pretty inspirational to me.

Next up: Bobby Shields. Not sure what his charisma is but it needs to freefall as well. Ive seen him live and on tv and he trips over his words in almost every sentence. Crap inflection too. Maybe somewhere in the 25-30 range. To a lesser extent, give the same treatment to (Michael) Facade.

Lastly, if he isnt already, change Josh Prohibition to non-wrestler. Gargano beat him last summer and i haven't seen or heard anything about him since.

  6. I started playing during the tail end of the Dark expansion (only got my hands on 2 or 3 boosters from that) and quit during Weatherlight. My cards are in a storage box where they have been gathering dust ever since. I can't even remember the last time I opened the box, and the next time I do it will probably be after I find a decent price guide so I can put them on eBay. (Don't have a Black Lotus or any Moxes, unfortunately)

i just might be interested in your cards. magictraders.com has a pretty decent price guide. look up some of your stuff or throw me a brief list.

  7. how can you cancel a show after 4 episodes? stupid

Well, unfortunately, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows, like "Dark Angel", "Titus", "Undeclared", "Action", "That '80s Show", "Wonder Falls", "Fastlane", "Andy Richter Controls the Universe", "Skin", "Girls Club", "Cracking Up", "The Pitts", "Firefly", "Get Real", "Freaky Links", "Wanda at Large", "Costello", "The Lone Gunmen", "A Minute with Stan Hooper", "Normal, Ohio", "Pasadena", "Harsh Realm", "Keen Eddie", "The Street", "American Embassy", "Cedric the Entertainer", "The Tick", "Louie", and "Greg the Bunny"

C'mon, you knew it was coming.
