  1. A part of me wants to see Montreal lose, but I just really can't stand the Penguins.
  2. This sub forum is filled with them.
  3. May I ask where you pulled that 'fact' out from?
  4. I don't know if he'll have to be better. If Halak can keep playing as well as he did against Washington, then it really comes down to Montreal playing defense and blocking a ton of shots like they did against Washington. If that happens, I wouldn't e surprised to see Montreal take the series, but I don't think it'll need to be all Halak.
  5. I'm cheering Monteal on. I can't stand the penguins and an early exit will make me happy. Of course after Montreal knocks off the penguins, they can then suck it! ....unless they play philly, in which case ROCK ON MONTREAL!
  6. Philly has Boston. Montreal are up against the Penguins.
  7. As a Ranger fan and as a Wings fan, I second this! I actually did believe Washington was going to lose tonight. Ovie just tried to do too much on his own, and I think the VS announcers nailed it when they said, "Washington is still playing like it's the regular season" They really didn't adapt to playoff hockey, and it was all about their offense.
  8. That first Boston-Buffalo OT period was absolutely amazing.
  9. When you think about how much Potential Gustavsson has, that's a huge steal for toronto. Under 1.5 for a #1 goalie is great.
  10. Half the goals 10/20 were on the powerplay tonight. Powerplay came up huge for some teams.
  11. Washington over Montreal (4-2) New Jersey over Philadelphia (4-1) Buffalo over Boston (4-2) Pittsburgh over Ottawa (4-2) San Jose over Colorado (4-3) Chicago Over Nashville (4-0, maybe 4-1) LA over Vancouver (4-2) ((I really think Vancouver will win, but I just can't stand them)) Detroit over Phoenix (4-2)
  12. I sure did. That's pretty interesting.
  13. - Boston sits in 6th. and can only be eliminated by losing 2 straight and Canadiens win, and Rangers win both. - Flyers sit in 8th and can only be eliminated if the rangers with both games. - Canadiens sit in 7th. They can only be eliminated if the rangers win both games and flyers still get a point. - Rangers are in 9th. (1)They need to get 4 points without flyers getting a point (2)If they beat the flyers in OT, they need the Canadiens to lose (3)If Canadiens win, they need Boston to lose 2 straight and get 4 points from the flyers. Hopefully I didn't miss any. EDT: Changed spelling.
  14. I did a fantasy Draft in EHM2007 and drafted Jeff Carter. Well I couldn't work out a good price for him 3 years later so he left my team. Nobody picked him up and I was hoping to get him back the next year with Prucha and Scott Hannan's contract expiring, but 10 months later he retired at age 23/24. So mad!
  15. I love Colton Orr, but serious when shit like that happens... you should be thrown out of the fucking game.
  16. This has been a really disappointing season to watch the Rangers. They can compete with any team in the league on some nights, and then can't even get the puck out of their zone on other nights (or should I say on most nights lately) I wish they were at least getting a high draft pick out of this disappointment. I didn't expect the flames to struggle for 8th. And I really had high hopes for tampa this year. There's still time for a few teams to make the playoffs, but at this point I'm cheering for Capitals, Redwings, Blackhawks, and Coyotes. (Wings 8th - Blackhawks 1st) Should be a fun series.
  17. Probably. I said I don't see it happening. They might surprise me, but I doubt it.
  18. The rangers have put together 2 straight wins, which isn't really anything to be excited about, but if they're going to make a run for the playoffs...nows the time where every winning streak is going to help, and if they can sneak away with points in their next 2 games it'll be huge for them. They have Montreal and Boston and there's a chance to close the gap by thursday since the Canadians aren't playing much this week, especially against Boston who sit 1 point ahead of the rangers, but still have 1 game more to play. That'll be huge for the rangers. I really don't see it happening, but I think it's all going to come down to Lundqvist and how shitty the D plays in front of him, because they will not win any scoring race. The players to watch are obviously Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Callahan, Marian Gaborik, Chris Drury, Sean Avery, and Henrik Lundqvist. If they can't get hot I don' see any playoff run happening.
  19. I wouldn't worry too much about the rangers. I don't see them making the playoffs. Anything is possible, but they really haven't done anything all season to deserve the 8th spot.
  20. If anybody is watching the rangers - Penguins game, and can get me a .Gif of Avery Mocking Maxime Talbot....I'd be one happy person.
  21. USA almost had a goal at the end of the second, but time ran out as the puck just made it to the goal line. After Scoring their first goal, I thought Team USA were screwed out of a goal as they ended up getting a penalty.
  22. Most of the people on the powerplay have played together.
  23. Olli Jokinen and Brandon Prust traded to Rangers for Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik. I'm not sure why Calgary wants Kotalik...perhaps he'll be used for Powerplays, since he's got a rocket of a shot when he hits the net. Higgins didn't excel in New York and really needed a change, which is sad because he just got there. His confidence is down right now, and he's been missing the net a lot, even on breakaways. He's doing everything right.....but getting the goals. I don't see the Rangers using Prust for anything more than a fringe player, or a 4th line player who doesn't get much playing time, but John Tortorella doesn't use much of the 4th line anyway. Olli might be the missing piece to spark something with some players who are struggling. Although, they have the option of sliding him in the middle of Gaborik and Prospal. IMO, this deal looks like it was done to shad some salary. The rangers dump Kotalik, who has 3mil per w/2 more years left on his contract. Olli is a free agent at the end of the season, right?
  24. That's how he was with the rangers. So the good news is he should be able to stay consistant, and be valuable to the leafs.
