If we could beat Brazil, this Friday...
-
If they had won by 2 they would go through.

Congratz to the US. Well deserved lead.

Not true.
Edit: Tried to put the table but failed....

Sometimes I get annoyed with the commentators for ITV and BBC but I think I would boycott football if I had to listen to commentary like this...

The sound is from a radio station.

Finally I can come out and say... We were AWESOME!

The thing is, Ivory Coast are going to need Brazil to beat Portugal and they've just made the game easier for Portugal.
Idiots.
Yeah, but Portugal can't beat anyone at the moment. Queiroz is one of the most incompetent managers we ever had, his decisions are mind baffling and widely criticized (and rightly so, calling up several players who no one has even heard of while leaving out other players who have unquestionable value and are in great form), and the group is rife with controversy amongst themselves (Nani being strangely injured, being replaced, then saying he'd be fit to play in a week, Deco criticizing the way the team played and Queiroz's decisions after the Ivory Coast match, then retracting himself, and now supposedly getting injured and not being able to play against North Korea... too many coincidences for my taste). Plus, they don't play football. I dunno what they do on the field, but that ain't playing.
A former manager (who I hate, but that's irrelevant ) said it best: "Someday, we'll expect Ronaldo to hit the corner kick, then go running towards the area to head the ball in". Something like that.
It's pathetic, really.
The guy you just quoted was way worse than Queiroz

Brazil have to fuck up now. It's entirely unfair to everyone else if they're the only ones sticking to their expectations.
They better fuck up Friday against us. That would be a major fuck up...

Your dreams are all around Mourinho aren't they?
Let's be honest, his ideals are not great. Put 10 men behind the ball and make football dire to watch to win. The total opposite of Barcelona, and Inter's win over Barca has set a standard of 'even if your players aren't as good, defend in large numbers and counter to win. The worst games at this World Cup have been the one's that both teams have wanted to do this, happy to play for a point.
Who really wants football to be like this? It'll ruin the game.
The thing is, the guy defended because he had Motta sent off early and he had to defend his advantage at away turf. It's not like he did the same at San Siro against Barcelona, or any other game of the Champions League for that matter. Inter played positive football against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, San Siro against Barcelona. You can't really compare a second hand game, defending an advantage with a group stage or a league game for that matter.

I would love to get England, once again at the Quarter-finals. A shame we wont get out of the group stage.
-
We are missing too many passes. Other than that Ronaldo shot, we haven't been able to create any decent attack.
-
We're not doing very well. Liedson and Deco are clearly in bad shape.
-
Let's go Ronaldo! Let's go team! Let's go Portugaaaaaal!!!!!!

Clearly offside...

Hoping we can win our match, play well and get motivation for the rest of the World Cup. The quality is there we just need something we missed in the qualifiers...
-
Holy crap what a tackle by Carragher...
-
LOL Green WTF...

I'm liking how the England teams is playing. Much better than 4 years ago.
-
I see the Americans getting the win tonight. Hoping for a good match from both sides.

It might come down to David Silva, Essien, Maicon and a left-back (can't think of any who's name is not Ashley Cole, who I don't think would fit there)

How wonderful it would be if Portugal avoided Spain... Brazil vs Spain, Germany vs England,Holland vs Italy next round would be awesome.
