I've never seen so many low scores. Maybe I should make the games a bit easier?

Pretty low scoring week! Must be picking tough games. And I've got a feeling I've done that again this week.

Please beware that it's Euro 2012 qualifying games this week, however most of them are being played on Friday, so the deadline will be a day earlier than usual. Week 1 results now on the website and you can now submit for Week 2. Sorry I've had to take a break so early into the season. There will also be a slight delay after Week 6 because I'm going on another holiday at the end of September, but only for a week.

The fixtures are now on the website. Also, just to let you all know, all of the Spanish games have been postponed because the players have gone on strike over wages. As if they don't get paid enough... So it'll only be 5 games this week instead of 6.

Hi all, The start of the football season has well and truly crept up on me, so I thought I'd better get this show on the road again. For anyone who wants to join in this season, please PM me or post in this topic and specify a username that you want to use in the league (it will also be your login for the PL website). Please also let me know if you'd rather be contacted via PM here or by email (in which case, please PM me your email address). For those of you who don't know what I'm on about, here's last year's topic and also the original topic explaining what it is - Explanation Last Season I will be sending out PMs/emails to those of you who played last season in case you don't see this topic. I'm going to allow 1 week for sign-up and then send everything out next weekend, so the first games are scheduled to be on 13th/14th August. Unfortunately we'll need to take a break not long after we start as I'm going on holiday at the end of August, however I will do my best to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. So - let me know if you want to play and I'll sign you up!

The website has been updated. Baddar, you can still win the league if Jordan loses his game and Cagey either loses or draws (assuming that it's not some kind of freak 15-15 draw). Told you it was still anyone's game.

It's still anyone's game! I had no idea the Spanish game was a Monday game. Guess I should pay more attention when picking games...

A-ha! I've had a look through all of the files on our PC and I managed to find results from 2 random seasons from when Scott did it - and I found a week where someone got 14 points! To be fair, it was in 2001, so it's not been done in the last 10 years... Unfortunately that's all I could find. There's probably results from every season on his laptop, but it starting going on the fritz just as he fell ill, so I'm not sure if it even still works (problem with the graphics card I think - the screen had lines down it...).

Just realised this thread was only meant for Cycle 1. Oh well. Yeah, 13 is pretty hard to beat. I've got a feeling someone has got 14 or 15 before, but probably only once.

Good luck to you. It's something that's yet to be seen... Still haven't tracked down all of the stuff from the seasons Scott ran. I'd like to see what the highest score was in any one week because my memory is rubbish and can't remember the highest I've seen.

It helps when your opponent submits but still manages to get 0 points. (Been there, done that...)

So glad I was playing BLANK this week - I only scraped 1 point! And I was getting worried because I only got that point from the games that played today - I had nothing after yesterday's! PMs and emails going out now.

Would you have preferred being paired with someone else who got 10 points? (Y)
