Regarding weekly fixtures, I always thought that having t' full cycle/season's fixtures online from t' start was t' fairest way. However, that was when predictions were made in private instead of being posted, so I can understand why you want them posted after t' deadline. t' only risk is that people might point fingers at Starvinho if he happens to do well. Obviously I'm hoping that you all trust him not to cheat (as I would too), but if you want to make a full list of fixtures in advance and send them to someone impartial (me, if you want) in case of any arguments, then feel free.

Glad you've decided to keep this going. I would've offered to help set it up, but I've been on holiday for the last week. Would it be useful if I re-coded the old system so someone here could do everything automatically? It does most things right now, I'd just need to add a couple of things. There's user controls, automatic marking, weekly submission list (useful if you want to send reminders), and suchlike. The automatic marking is probably the biggest time-saver. I'm not sure if I can automate the table updating that easily, but I could probably get that done in a couple of weeks and then add all of the data from the first few weeks into it. It can run on my webspace as usual or I can export the files for usage somewhere else (as long as you have a MySQL database and have PHP enabled). Let me know if that sounds useful.

Hello, folks! I'm afraid I won't be doing the PL for the upcoming football season. It takes up more time than you probably think and it's difficult to commit to something for up to 30 weeks of the year. And I just feel like I won't be able to give it my full attention this time. I do enjoy doing it though, so I may bring it back again next year. I'll make a decision next summer and let all of the previous players know if I'll be running it for the 2013/2014 season.

I was rubbish as usual. But I could've been worse, I guess... I do like running it - the only thing that bothers me is when people don't submit because it's giving their opponents for that particular week an unfair advantage. Any ideas for what I could do to counteract that? Obviously I could just do the whole season on prediction points and not had any 'matches', but that would kinda take away the competitive element of the game...

I seem to have picked a Monday French game without realising... results will be available tonight, hopefully!

The website has now been updated. We have a new table leader! Baddar, you'll need to work hard to try and grab the title back. Mollari has an easy game against me (sorry), but prison inmate is up against Cagey, who is usually quite a big scorer. It all rests on the last week!

Sorry for the delay, folks. I should have my laptop back (with my old data on it) this evening. The only problem is that I have no idea what the password is for my website hosting and I need that to add data for new PL weeks. I'm trying to get a hold of it, so hopefully the cycle will restart this weekend.

Right, I have a new laptop, but I won't get all of my data back until during the week sometime. So I'll have to push the cycle back a week, unfortunately. I'll get the results up for Week 9 as soon as I can!

Just to let you all know, I will be starting Cycle 2 tomorrow, with the first week's games to be played next weekend.

It's going to be an interesting last week based on the matches that have already been played. I forgot to mention that a couple of the games are being played on Monday because there was a lack of interesting matches at the weekend in some countries!

That's what I always suggest that people do. That's why I introduced the feature to change them twice up until the deadline, in case you remember to revise them later in the week.

I couldn't find any proper reason why all of the main leagues are having a break next weekend. I know the FA Cup is on, but that's just the lower leagues. And there's a handful of Euro 2012 Qualifying games too, but none that would warrant stopping all main-league football. Hey ho... I'm sure it probably happens every year and I just can't remember! Hopefully I'll get all 16 people predicting this time since you've got 2 weeks to submit...

Then you should be doing fantastically since I'm not getting you to predict the French 4th Division.
