  1. T.I.'s new album is pretty good. Much better then T.I. vs T.I.P, and he's going pretty hard lyrically on this one, more so then he was before. A lot of different songs that I would have never expected him to do either.

I'm really looking forward to The Blueprint 3 if it does come out this year, as I'm a HUGE Jay-Z fan. I'm reserving my thoughts on what Kanye is doing with his album until I hear it, although the whole singing in auto-tune through out the whole album is a bit too much. A track here and there is nice, but we'll see. I'm even looking forward towards 50 Cent's next album, as I think he's going to put in a much better effort then what he did when he went up against Kanye last year. The 4th quarter is usually great for hip-hop, so I can see myself buying a lot of albums in the next couple of months.

The Game's album isn't bad, just relies on too many guest appearances, in which a lot were uninspiring. The "Letter To The King" song is probably the best song I've heard him do since "Dreams". Phenomenal song, and Nas definitely blessed it with a great verse.

  2. Also, Hollinger is an idiot.

    *cough*

Had to do it. Anyway, congrats to the Lakers. I expected it to be a more even series, but truthfully... I can care less. Flashbacks of '04 will come back soon enough. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETROIT BASKETBAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

... I really hope Detroit wins tonight. If they had won game 5, I'd feel much better about them coming home tonight and using the home court advantage to end the series in game 6. Since they didn't, I'm not so sure that they can win two in a row against the Celtics, especially game 7. Celtics won't go down without a fight at least.

  3. Didn't get to see the game, but from the sounds of it, people are going to bitch. One play, especially in a one basket game, no matter if its at the end of the game or not, does not decide a game. If you lose on a controversial last call, by two points, then maybe you should have made one of your shots earlier. I'd say the same if it was reversed.

What kind of call was it? Remember, this is the playoffs, hard fouls are the rule, and whats a foul in the regular season isn't a foul in the post season.

Oh, and series over. San Antonio can't win two in LA.

Fisher just flew into Barry as he was getting ready to take that final shot. It wasn't a cheap foul. There was definitely enough contact there for a whistle to be blown.

See, normally I'd agree, but at the end of the game? As everyone stated, he should have jumped right into Fisher and accepted the contact so there wouldn't have been any choice but to call a foul in the act of shooting. Spurs would have had the game in a bag that way, but then again... Brent Barry's not use to that situation. If it had been Manu, the series would've been tied 2-2 right now.

Not that I'm a Lakers fan, just that I've heard people bitching about this call (well, the lack of a call) all day when it was quite obvious once he put the ball on the floor that he wasn't going to get any type of call. I saw it coming as soon as Fisher hit him and he put the ball on the floor that the game was over, because he created an even more difficult shot for himself, which was his fault. Upon viewing the replay it was even more obvious. Yeah, Fisher hit him, but he didn't take the contact as he should have and sold the foul, and that's what cost them a chance to at least tie the game and sent it to OT. And as Charles Barkley stated - no referee should be the deciding factor of a game.

I just watched the replay, Fisher went for the pump fake, then Barry actually dribbled into him before taking the shot. Early in the game that probably does get called, but the players need to decide the finish, not the officials.

I wouldn't say Fisher dribbled into him. He put the ball on the floor as Fisher hit him, thus creating the awkward shot. But yeah, players should decide the finish, not the officials.

Oh, and I hope the Pistons win tonight, because I see game 5 of this series being the deciding factor.

  4. Yeah, I'm sure Bruce Bowen can just take Kobe out. :shifty:

I take the Lakers over anyone. They're the top seed in the west for a reason, and Denver is better than Atlanta, and look at the Celtics. I do think that LA/NO or LA/SA would be great series, though.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I know the WCF will be a great series with either LA against New Orleans or San Antonio. Lakers have to get some good wins on the road against the Jazz to put them away as quickly as possible, and we all know that Utah have the best home record in the league. I'd still take SA over LA in seven, but I'm not so sure about CP3 and the Hornets to be honest. The lack of playoff experience may hurt them against a much stronger, more experienced team.

The difference between Atlanta and Denver is that they've built momentum in their series, and actually have been playing much better defense then most would think. Denver plays virtually no defense at all, and against a powerful, well-rounded team against the Lakers, that's going to cost them. And obviously, it did, although I would've never thought that they would've got swept. The Hawks can run the court just as well as Denver in my opinion due to their young stars, but they know how to get back on D, which is something the Nuggets can't do, despite what Allen Iverson says about their high offense playing. Add that to the fact that the Celtics aren't as fast or effective on offense then the Lakers (right now, anyway).

I'm not saying that Atlanta is better then Denver, but they sure are playing a hell of a lot better against a number one seed then Denver did. I know there's a big difference between the West and the East and the Lakers/Celtics, but it's not like the Celtics are a mediocre team. Atlanta's just hungrier then Denver, that's all.

  5. So, any doubt the Lakers are the best team in the league? Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?

Because they swept a team that plays no defense and takes horrible, horrible shots?

We'll see how they do against Mr. Duncan and the Spurs or CP3.

I'm pretty pissed that Detroit has let this series be even remotely even thus far. I like the Sixers and live back and forth in NYC and Philly, but being a guy born in Detroit - I obviously want them to win. They did good the second half of the game 4, but I'd attribute that more to the Sixers not managing to keep the lead and play their type of game. If Detroit would stop riding off their '04 NBA championship victory and start working harder, maybe they'll get back to the fucking finals.

  6. I refuse to pick a team that was just thrown together to win the Finals. The teams in the West have all been together, or, at least, mostly together, for a few years now. Boston hasn't proven anything other than three good players can have you dominate a really weak conference.

Tell that to their 23-5 record against Western Conference teams. <_<

In all seriousness, I think the Celtics have a decent shot of at least making it to the Finals. In a seven game series, a Western Conference team (or hell, even the Pistons) would kill them due to their lack of depth. Bringing in Sam Cassell doesn't exactly scream "finding the lost piece to the puzzle" in my opinion. That's been the biggest thing surrounding them all season - they have three good players, and... an average team. Rajon Rondo, while he has played exceptionally well this season on a team that desperately needs a more experienced point guard, may very well be their downfall in the playoffs if he's giving up 20-30 points and 10-15 assists to their opponent's point guard. I wouldn't be surprised if Chauncey Billups ran wild on him in the Eastern Conference finals.

On another note, I'm quite impressed with the Sixers. They've really turned the team around, and while I know they're not going to make any big impact on the Eastern side of things this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they clinched the sixth seed and gave the Magics a run for they money. Possible upset?

I can really see the Pistons being the strongest contention against any West team, even more then the Celtics. They've been playing great ball this year, and I'm looking for them to make a big run this year after what happened to them against Lebron James the Cavaliers.

As for the West, I really don't see anything special from the Suns that's going to get them to the Finals this year. I see maybe a second round advancement if they fall to sixth and play the Rockets, although I wouldn't necessarily rule them out to beat the Jazz. The Rockets need to prove to me that then can make it out the first round this year before I give them any shot of making it anywhere in the playoffs. As mentioned, despite doing well so far without him, not having Yao Ming is going to really hurt them if they go against teams like the Lakers or Spurs, or hell, even the Suns, Jazz and Hornets.

I see the top four teams in the West being the Lakers, Spurs, Hornets and Warriors. Hornets lack of experience in the playoffs may prove to be their downfall, but I wouldn't count them out just yet. Warriors, as proven last year, can always turn the heat up, and I'd love to see a Lakers/Warriors series (hopefully another bullshit call like last night won't keep them from getting a big win <_<). Spurs, as always, is a team not to be slept on, even if it is their off year.

My prediction will be the Lakers/Spurs or Lakers/Hornets in the WCF. Possibly throw in the Jazz. It all depends on the seeding, to be honest. Lakers would really have an advantage (even if they have to play the Warriors in the first round) if they can lock in first place this year, as I'm pretty sure they can defeat a fourth or fifth seed with no problem (if it ends up being the Jazz or the Suns). Barring the Spurs clinching that fourth or fifth seed and the Lakers stay in first, or the Lakers stay in second and Spurs move up to fourth or fifth, I really see the Lakers/Spurs being the WCF match-up this year.

  7. Some good games last night. I think Kobe going to Chicago would be quite refreshing for him, and gives the Bulls that star that they've been looking for since the Jordan era. We'll see how much the trade talk heats up depending on the Lakers start for this season. Kobe putting up 45 wasn't bad, and in fact, I think it was simply a showcase to all the teams looking to court number 24.

Am I the only one who hates watching the Spurs? Good god, they're probably one, if not the best all-around team in the NBA, but I need some personality to get through their games. Wonder what the outcome would've looked like if Greg Oden had made his debut, but meh.

Didn't catch Utah/GSW, but I guess it was more of their match-up from the playoffs, given the score.

As for predictions for tonight's games...

I'll take Toronto over Philly, Orlando over Milwaukee, Washington over Indiana, the Nets over Chicago (it'll be a close one, but I think the Nets will surprise a lot of people this year), Dallas over Cleveland, San Antonio over Memphis, New Orleans over Sacramento and Denver over Seattle (also should be a great game).

  8. Fucking Lions! Off to a good start with a win over... *checks*... oh, the Raiders. Meh. Still, a win nevertheless for the hometown boys. Jon Kinta looked damn good and pretty comfortable in the pocket, aside from the 2 INTs.

Fucking Giants! Their season's over before it even really gets started. Guess I have to watch the fucking Jets with naiwf.

Well, the 'Skins and the Giants will probably be the weakest two teams in the NFC East this year. Cowboys/Eagles should make for maybe a good wildcard match-up, as well as their regular season bouts. I'm a sympathy fan for the Eagles, I guess you can say, because it's so hard to watch a team with that much talent lose games on stupid plays or playcalling. Looks like they signed that poor kid back for nothing.

Everything else was pretty much hit or miss. The Patriots and Panthers looked really good, the Bears looked a bit disappointing on the offensive end, and... that's about it really. A pretty boring opening week to me, but glad at least one of my teams got a win.

  9. So... someone give me a team that you'd think I'm guaranteed to win no more then 6 games with on All-Madden, but have a huge salary cap available.

I'm thinking the Titans, but I've done pretty well with them in a couple of pre-season games just to see if I would be interested in doing a season with them. I need a challenge after some rather easy seasons with the Eagles (13-3, 15-1, 16-0 with two Superbowl wins in the latter years).

  10. My thoughts on...

    Kanye West - "Graduation"

Overall, it's a solid project, but has a few inconsistencies that ruin it from truly being a "classic" album. I've had this ever since it leaked on the internet a few weeks ago, and I have to say that I'm disappointed. College Dropout is obviously the strongest in all three of his efforts, with I'd say... this being neck and neck with Late Registration, in where both albums started out looking like a classic, but as you went through the tracks, they went downhill. Ye's lyrical approach to this album is different, and I have to say that for the most part he holds his own. "Stronger", "Can't Tell Me Nothing", "Good Life", "The Glory" (my personal favorite track) and "Big Brother" are all phenominal tracks as far as production and lyrical ability goes, but a few of the tracks fall victim to the subject content, production or simply Ye's lyrical ability.

    50 Cent - "Curtis"

I'm not going to get into this, because 50's kind of one of those guys you either hate or you love, and I love his music. I will say that it is worth a listen, because it's certainly better then The Massacre. The production is top-notch, the lyrics are... well, 50 (nothing extroidanary, but very, very catchy and easy to follow along with), but I think 50 fell victim of trying too put out too many singles and hoping they would all catch on. "Amusement Park" and "Straight To The Bank" failed in garnering a buzz for the album, no matter what 50 says in trying to dispute their failures in his interviews. "Ayo Technology" is pretty... well, pop. I guess that's what he was going for, and it was a big single as far as pop goes, but it's rapidly fading, which I'm sure he didn't expect it to do. "Follow My Lead" I like a lot, and I think this could be a great slow tempo single if they push it right. Too bad about the video leaking before the single was even suppose to come out. "Come & Go" is not going to be the banger that "In Da Club" was, because you cannot recreate that sort of hit. Out of all the singles, I'd say that "I Get Money" garnered the most buzz for his album, because even though it's not a top single on the Billboard 100, it certainly changed the vibe for this albvm from "Meh..." to "Oh shit!". I love that song, admittingly.

So much for not saying much, huh? ^_^

    Anyway...

Which album is better and who will sell more?

As far as consistency goes within the album, 50 has it, hands down. For the most part, you can listen to 50's album straight through without skipping tracks, where as with Kanye's album... sometimes it gets a bit boring. But, I have a feeling that consistency doesn't matter in this battle for opening week sales. As far as who will sell more, well, 50 gets that again, due to his international fanbase.

As far as in the U.S... I think Kanye will have a bigger opening first week then 50. This is attributed to the fact that 50's previous albums has had smash singles in the top 10 of Billboard, this album hasn't achieved that. Kanye's previous albums never had to rely on being "the biggest single out", because most of his singles even up in the top 20 or top 10. This also has to do with the fact that 50's fanbase in the US seems to be fading after growing between his first two albums, where as Ye's fanbase here has kept growing time and time again.

In the end, 50 will have the overall better sales, but I'm banking on Ye to take it in the first week.

  11. Just started a franchise with the Eagles yesterday, hoping to get them finally to the Superbowl. Lost the first game by 1 point, and won 6 straight. Of course, what would an Eagles season be without Donovan McNabb getting injured? Up steps Colb, who does pretty good in his first game and I'm 7-1. I have a tough schedule ahead of me though during the last stretch of the season, so we'll see how we do then.

I also have to agree on the turnovers really messing up the game. I haven't had all that many, but the computer is fumbling and throwing interceptions all over the place, and I'm on All Madden. Lito Sheppard's gonna have a hell of year at this rate.

  12. AD: Damn good magazine cover. My only gripe with it personally is the fact that the pirates cover the magazine title. Other then that, pretty much flawless. The text compliments it really well. Great job. 9/10

Cole: Pretty good stuff, and actually you did better then I expected. The graphic is simple, yet effective, and I can really picture that as a magazine cover. I, however, had a problem with the text being in the center, rather then to the side. I think a better picture of the football player could have been better as well. Good stuff though. 8/10.

As obvious by the score, I'll have to give this one to Ad. Great battle though, and valiant effort Cole. I just felt AD's was more complete.

  13. So, I've just gotten around to reading the Great American Bash, and simply put, the show was... great. No pun intended. <_<

Let's start this feedback shindig off, shall we?

    THE SHOW

    - A PPV opening with... a promo? That's quite interesting, to say the least. I felt that Edge could have got in a few more digs at America, being the dirty, dirty Canadian that he is. However, it was a nice touch, and certainly something different. Good start to the show thus far.

    - Good choice for an opener. Finlay as a face has really grown on me lately, and I hope he can become a prominent figure in the Smackdown! portion of your diary. I kind of wish you had kept the United States title on MVP a little longer, but another win here might have killed Finlay's heat as a potential challenger to the belt. I always feel that two straight successful title defenses on PPV really kills the babyface's momentum as a challenger. Nice work here, and Finlay as US champion can bring nothing but awesomeness to come. I also like the role that you have fit Mike Knox into as well. I almost forgot to mention that. I just hope those pesky writers give him a lengthy reign.

    - Six-man tag was decent enough filler, and seemed like a pretty spiffy match to boot. I thought you would figure the Benjamin/Haas feud into this a bit more, but I guess you have something bigger in mind with him pinning the Intercontinental champion. Speaking of him, the teased tension between him and Burke was quite amusing. Nice little touch there.

    - Ladies and gentlemen, this was Ric Flair at his best. That's all I have to say. Magnificent for such a short segment. I wonder who that mystery guy will be though...

    - The Haters Club needs to win the tag titles. Seriously. Their feud with Cryme Tyme would be hilarious and have so many endless possibilities. I urge you to book this as soon as possible. The tag title match played backdrop to their commentary, but seriously - who cares about La Resistance and Deuce & Domino when you have the Haters Club? While I'm at it, I must ask you - what made you transpire a Chappelle Show skit into this diary?

    - The Women's title match was pretty unforgettable. Bad placing on the card I attribute that to.

    - The Shamrock/Umaga bout seemed like a pretty wild affair, which is about the only way I can see these two putting on even a reasonably decent match together. I wonder where you're going to go with Sonny Siaki in their feud, as his involvement was quite interesting, albiet a bit questionable.

    - I really thought Bobby Lashley was going over here, setting them up for a rematch at Summerslam - a bigger stage for Kane to become the ECW champion. Hey, a Kane push is all good in my book, but I thought you could have held this off for another month.

    - The Hardyz/Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch bout was largely unforgettable, as like the Women's title match, it was simply placed in a bad position on the card. The outcome was never in question as well, so it kind of put a damper on things to me. Here's hoping for that Matt Hardy singles push sometime down the road...

    - WARGAMES, BITCH! Okay, well, not quite. Dusty Rhodes being added to the match was a damn good idea, and I'm really not upset at you for doing the bait-and-switch with Johnny Jeter. It definetly seems like something the WWE would do, so points for realism. Anyway, this was easily the best booked feud going into the PPV, and easily match of the night as well. Lots of action, lots of suspense, and a good finish to boot. Much props for this match, as it made the show after a few undesireable matches beforehand.

    - ... And if only that was truly the end to the show. Oh well. The four-way match for the title wasn't that bad of a way to end the show. I found the mention of the odds being stacked against John Cena, followed by JR stating the exact same thing (you really need to have the trademark symbol everytime you write that line). Anyway, the match was actually pretty good, because it was a bit more technical then your average four-way match. Chris Benoit was really the only person here that could convincingly do the j-o-b, as Randy Orton is being built to face Cena at Summerslam. Cena pinning him for the win would kill off any momentum he has going for him. Mark Henry could have been pinned, but you gotta keep that Henry strong. He's the franchise, the backbone, the SILVERBACK of the WWE, ya know. :shifty:

    - Well, I certainly didn't see that coming. Well, I did, but then again I didn't. I always figured that Chris Jericho should be brought back to immediately feud with Cena, as the history and the backstory for the feud is already there. Good idea to bring him back into the mix.

Overall, a damn good show. The bottom of the card showed a lot of potential at first viewing, but the middle of the card kind of dragged it down. Things picked up at the end, and has made for the best complete show you have written for this diary thus far. **** rating, and here's to Summerslam being even better then that, which I have a feeling that it will.

    THE 'OFFICE'

    - About damn time that someone in this company recognized that all of their versions of the Great American Bash (barring the fortuanate tragedy that was the Great American Bash 2006) sucked! STICK TO THE MAN FTW~!!1

    - Damn you for ruining my hopes of Finlay having a long reign with the U.S title. :( Steoh's reaction afterwards was pretty funny though, if not a bit predictable.

    - The diva search and vampire comments were SOOOOOOO lame. Pass.

    - But, you totally made up for it with Kane's reference to his infamous one-day World title reign, and the possiblity of him having a two-day World title reign.

    - Vince's comment on the Wargames match was PRICELESS. I knew something had to be up with the Wargames match being held on a WWE PPV.

    - Johnny Jeter's comment was really just a rehash of what Vince said earlier, only in a different circumstance. Pass.

    - You know you have to work that Mister E. Partner into your shows now everytime you have a mystery partner, right? THINK OF THE MATCHES!

Randy Orton & Mister E. Partner Michael Hayes vs. John Cena!

Shawn Michaels & Mister E. Partner Marty Jannetty who he eventually turns on and kicks him through a barbershop window vs. John Cena!

Everyone on the RAW brand & Mister E. Partner Everyone on the rest of the WWE roster vs. John Cena!

    (Pause.)

    (Pause.)

    - ... moving on. DUSTY RHODES~! This was definetly your 'Office' segment of the night. It really got me that much more into the Wargames match coming up in only a way Dusty could. Nice reference on the 'one, two, three, four count' as well.

    - Okay, I take it back. The Mark Henry thing made me actually laugh out loud for a couple minutes. Some of the best in-character writing I've seen for Mark Henry yet. Absolutely hilarious and tremendous.

    - So he IS holding out. That bastard! Anyway, the shot at Kurt Angle was definetly the highlight of the Jericho comments, as well as the stipulations for his re-signing with the company. Funny stuff.

    And now, for the meeting...

    - The London/Kendrick/Khali portion was slightly amusing, although quite borderline corny.

    - Vince going all ghetto on camera=RATINGS!

    - The Randy Orton/Michael Hayes thing was GOLD. I have to request that you have these two together sometime on WWE television. No, I DEMAND!

    - Brian Gerwitz rules in this diary, simply put. The 'not writing endings anymore' part made that segment that much better.

    - And so, ECW's dreams of breaking out once again are crushed at the hirings of Mark Jindrak & Matt Morgan. Bummer.

    - As for the meeting, well, it was pretty interesting to see your mindstate on things to come for Summerslam. A Kane/Lashley re-match? Meh. It really depends on how Kevin Thorn figures into this whole thing, as I think he's totally out of his league in that environment. Orton/Jericho/Cena? Intriguing, to say the least. This would also depend on who's in what roles here.

Now, with all the comedy stuff out of the way, it's time for my final, and probably most important comment for you...

    THE BENOIT SITUATION

I'm not going to divulge into the whole Benoit story here, because it's not the time nor the place, and quite frankily I'm a bit tired from hearing and giving thoughts on this story. Your decision to take Chris Benoit immediately and effectively out of your diary I had no problem with. As a writer who doesn't feel the desire to write for the man either, I totally understand where you're coming from. As for your decision to keep him in the diary but to limit his status, I also have no problem with that as well. Hell, I'm in a bit of a pickle myself, as I had major plans for Benoit in my own diary, and I was planning on making him one of the focal points on one of the brands. However, this is not about my diary, so I digress. The point is - do whatever makes you feel comfortable. I will not be offended either way by how you handle him in your diary, as long as it's in a respectable enough manner. As for the jokes... I have to say that you should just keep away totally from any jokes about Benoit entirely, as I'm sure you would end up relating them to the Benoit tragedy (I personally don't think you would do that, but sometimes subtle humour like that can slip and you might not even notice it). I say just stay away from the jokes for awhile, focus on his matches and booking, and maybe after awhile when people can come to accept some humour in this (and if he's still around in your diary at that point), then you can run along with it. Just take it easy for now.

To close, another fantastic set of updates ADDavis. Keep up the tremendous work, and hopefully your diary is pinned so it can thrive in its excellence and people have a relatively easier time checking it out. (Y)

  14. Finally get around to leaving feedback on this baby, so hopefully I won't disappoint.

I think that your main problem with the concept being like the Office show is the fact that this is a wrestling show, and cannot completly focus on the aspects of the Office. At times, I felt that your Office-like segments that broke in between the matches and storylines were too much, and that you needed to focus more on the booking side of things. However, I also felt at sometimes (Vengeance being a prime example of what I'm talking about) your booking took too much of the focus, and that there was little-to-no middle ground between the Office aspect of the diary, and the actual WWE aspect of the diary.

You've begun to work on your problem, and it has resulted for the better. While you don't have the mixing of the two down "perfect" yet, the adjustments you have made have took you in the right direction. That's a good start, You still have a way to go, but I have confidence in you and your writing abilities, and from the potential I've seen thus far, you will definetly go long ways with this diary, and as a writer here in the Diary Dome at whole.

One thing I really do have to commend you on (and I'm surprised that no one has mentioned it yet) is your spectacular booking. The way you write your segments and matches doesn't give you a lot of space and room to hit everything on the head. But, you've taken this format and have ran with it, and made it one of the most unique and prolific styles in the Dome. I really have to say that it is a very easy format to read and get into, and you manage to hit all of the important things on the head without too much detail while still focusing on the Office-like segments between.

As for your booking, it's really strong and solid for this type of diary. Usually, the booking in these type of diaries gets lost in the shuffle, but here you have really shown a knack for sensical, realistic booking. Hell, there has been times while reading through the diary that I've become more interested in your booking and how you will progress with things rather then the other things that the diary is suppose to be about. Tremendous job, and I can't wait to see how you handle a diary focused on just booking things. Biggest props for this, as I have to say that you're one of the most solid bookers here in the Dome that I have seen.

Now, back to another complaint before I wrap things up. While I truly enjoy the Office-like segments you have in between things, I think that the jokes have run high. Certain characters or personas that you have to play with are always funny and in many ways realistic (Dusty Rhodes for example). However, some of the cliches and stereotypes that you have brought upon to show us are tiredsome, run down the hole, and im simpler terms: lame. I think that you should try to evolve some more people, and focus on other things that they're often parodied for.

As for the overall grade for this diary, I'll give it a ****. The (WWE) Office is a ***** diary in the making. It's highly original, unique, interesting and entertaining with some of the strongest booking I have seen. It can make me laugh out loud at times, and is definetly one of my favorite diaries on the board. However, the concept you are going for needs some slight tweaking and adjusting to capture its true essence. Nevertheless, you've done a tremendous job with this diary, and I look forward to seeing how you progress. The potential is there - it's just your decision on whether to explore it or not. Goodluck, ADDavis. (Y)

EDIT: Oh, and "dubs" are 20-inch rims, for crying out loud! Get up with your urban slang, will ya?

  15. Shooting-wise, I think he didn't have all that great of a game, as he was just 3 for 11 from the field. However, his ability to get to the line nearly 20 times and make most of his points from there, as well as finding his teammates and getting boards. He had a good all-around game to me. Maybe not his best performance offensively as far as scoring, but Daniel Gibson surely made up for that coming off the bench with 31 points.

Sad to see my Pistons go like that, but hey... the better team won four straight games, so I really can't complain. I thought it would at least go to seven games and maybe they could take it there, but... meh. Cavs were just more hungry for it. I just hope the Cavs take it now, as I'm tired of seeing the same NBA champions over and over again every year.

  16. To start off - this is simply put a fantastic diary thus far. Unlike most WWE diaries that try to go out of the normal instead of just regular writing and booking and add something to it, you have really captured the magic here thus far. The Death of the WWE is a brilliant, novel concept that I can see you clearly have fun writing, and I find a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction in reading.

    Anyway, onto the real feedback:

    - For starters, you've already left readers with something to desire in the first post. You certainly had me wondering "Well, how the hell did things get this way?". That's good, because you will have a lot of your readers checking back in after every post to see what has happened and what will happen next (which has become evident in a lot of your feedback thus far). I love the fact that this is really written more as a story then an actual diary (I'm more a fan of diaries with an actual story behind it, rather then just shows). The results of your shows have a unique feeling about them, as you really can imagine everything happening and you really highlight everything that needs to be known. That is a vital part in keeping readers interested in the story. I also love the fact that every post has you wanting more, what with your cliff-hanging, open-ended, never-ending possibilities, twists, turns and plots.

    - The cast post was also a good start, as you immediately told us who is who to the story, and what has happened or will happen with them. Good job.

    - I'm glad to see Sean O'Haire as James Mitchell's new monster. He fits the role perfectly, especially with the protective mask on him. Plus, I'm playing a TNA game in EWR where I brought him in to play the role as well. :D

    - I'm also digging the book-like excerpts that you throw in the shows to put the out-of-character things into persective. Really, really good job and unique concept.

    - I have to say that I was truly shocked that Carlito jumped ship. His dissatisfaction in the company totally slipped under the radar, and made for quite the surprise. I was really expecting Randy Orton or Mr. Kennedy to appear here, but I'm glad you went with someone that, while isn't the biggest of names, is easy to slip into the role of a new TNA prospect. Another job well done.

    - You have really captured the "war" feeling to this. I remember watching the original Monday Night Wars and thinking that anything could happen at anytime on any show. I'm glad that you've brought that type of feeling to wrestling back to life, and it's one of the many things that makes this diary stand out.

In closing, this is really a tremendous, must-see diary. Easily one of my favorite diaries on the board right now, and as another fellow poster said, a top pick for overally diary of the year here in the Dome if you do continue this. I'll definetly be reading and following and keeping up on this. ****1/2 diary. (Y)

  17. I think the Pistons have "it." Whatever it is, I don't know, but I think the Pistons have...it?

They still have one of the top starting fives in the league and now have a deep bench (as opposed to last year). The defense is still top notch and I still have faith that Ben Wallace's FT shooting woes will soon hurt his team. Sure, he hit seven in a row against Miami, but even the blind squirrel finds the nut every so often (I love cliches :shifty: ).

The winner of the Bulls/Pistons series goes to the finals, no doubt about it, but I see Detroit coming out of a brutal donnybrook of a series. I think their experience will give them an edge over the Bulls who are maybe a year away from getting back to the NBA finals.

  18. Poor Mavericks. Just goes to show that Steve Nash should have won his third MVP award in a row this year. I totally agree with the person who said that the MVP award should be given out until or after the finals.

Oh well, my home team is the Pistons. Bring on the Bulls, because that's gonna be a hell of a series.

Quick Note: Really see the Suns or the Bulls winning the championship by the way they're playing. Pistons, while great, just doesn't have... it.

  19. Let's find some 80 year old dude from Pennsylvania named Bob who just died earlier today. Loved his family, worked in a steel mill for 40 years to support them. Let's name him Bob. Bob is a much greater human being than Anna Nicole Smith will ever be, and yet he's getting two paragraphs in the middle of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Where's the priorities in humanity?

I pretty much paid no thought to everything else you said, as it's your personal opinion, and one I respect.

However, with this, you have to realise that while "Bob" may have been a better person, Anna Nicole Smith was a celebrity, and therefore would be put on a higher platform then said guy named "Bob". I'm not saying his passing is more or less important then hers, but that's what celebrity status will do for a person. If you haven't realised that yet, then you must be oblivious to what the difference is in the public world regarding a celebrity's passing and an unknown local person's passing is regarding media and news coverage.

  21. Warrior's rant was hilarious.

Just thought I'd say that first.

Anyway, you've come up with an original, well-thought diary, and are running with it well. It's one of the more realistic and unique pieces of writing I've seen in the Dome in awhile, and I'm glad this is working so well for you. I have to say that the beginning alone had me hooked, but the return at the Royal Rumble and the rant afterwards has made me a reader of this.

Hopefully he wins the IC title at WrestleMania 23.
