  1. West Bromwich Albion have signed Simon Cox for £1.5 Million (Plus £400000 add ons) from Swindon. I'm looking forward to seeing what this guy can do for us. His goalscoring record last season really speaks for itself IMO.
  2. ^ He has played pretty well all season. Tony Mowbray for Manager Of The Season! Don't worry, I'm messing with ya. My pick would be Zola, Moyes or Rafa.
  3. 'Not completely impossible' is what I meant. It isn't likely that we beat West Ham, but they have a few important players out as far as I know. Sure a few of their key guys like Upson, Noble, Neil, Parker and Di Michele remain, but they haven't got Dean Ashton (Who hasn't played since we beat them 3-2 earlier in the season), Carlton Cole (Suspension), Valon Berhami (Injured) and Jack Collison (Injured), so it's kind of opened up a window of oppurtunity for us. We have the ability to score goals IMO, Marc Antoine Fortune has scored 3 times since coming in January (Which I know isn't great, but still, it's half of what Bednar has got in a season) and Jay Simpson looks like he has goals in him (However, I don't

  5. Does anybody else believe Albion actually have a chance at beating West Ham?
  6. Zakora's a right cheating tosser. It was dive, dive, dive against the Albion. Can you honestly say he's a good midfielder when all he did against us was cheat, and we still beat Spurs 2-0?
  7. Apparently, WBA are going for Harewood from Villa. Oh No.
  8. And Kaka is way better that Ronaldo IMO... I heard West Bromwich Albion have been impressed by Daniel Sturridge these past few games. I wouldn't mind getting Sturridge in at all, he's a pretty good player for his age, and he can only get better. And recently, I was told by a friend of mine that we want a new Goalkeeper as Carson isn't playing aswell as he shoulder be! Rubbish! Carson's by far the best Goalkeeper we've had for a while, and we got him for an absolute bargain price of £3.25 Million, despite the fact Liverpool were demanding £10 Million for him off of Villa.
  9. I thought the idea of signing Tuncay was so that you could play two up front. That would make more sense Haven't Chelsea got enough strikers, though? Anelka, Drogba, Di Santo, Kalou, and I'm sure there is one or two more... (I know Pizzaro is on loan to Werder Bremen) Di Santo = he's about 12, not really ready for a PL title challenge. Kalou is shit in all fairness and has been playing wide, I believe. Pizarro is another player Chelsea shunned after an average/less than average first season. Sahar and Shevchenko are both out on loan and probably wouldn't get a look in anyway. So really, they have 2 strikers with loads of reserves that they really wouldn't want to play. ^ Basically what I was going to say, before I saw that you said it. I haven't seen much of Sahar but I've heard no indication that he's even as good as Kalou is, let alone better. Di Santo was our sub of choice while Drogba was out, but he's injured now as well anyway. I've never seen him have a shot on goal in all the times I've seen him brought on either. Shevchenko...well, wasn't doing well at Chelsea thanks to past managers. So when Shevchenko had the opportunity to go back to Milan (he's actually been sold - he's not on loan) that would have probably been what he most wanted to do since had such a good time there. And one would assume Scolari (new to the job and all) decided he wasn't so desparate to keep him that he would try and persuade him to stay, so he let him go happy. And I know they might play two strikers with Tuncay in the squad. Though, at the moment when they play Anelka and Drogba it's always been with Anelka taking one of the winger positions in the 4-3-3, so I don't know if Scolari's actually willing to play a straight two men up front or not. Either way, I was just being pessimistic about my Fantasy Football team...as I have been since 3 out of my 4 defenders all got injured at once, while their respective teams (Chelsea/ManU/Liverpool) got a load of clean sheet bonus points without them. Isn't Malouda another striker (I know he's injured, but...)?
  10. WBA signed Jay Simpson from Arsenal on loan the other day until the end of the season. We're also after a Belgian lad from Hamburg, but he's midfielder, and quite frankly, we've got enough of them. Tiexeira, Greening, Valero, Brunt, Koren, Kim, Morrison, Dorrans...8 midfielders is plenty for a club of our size. With Ishmael Miller's recent injury, we really need another man up front, even though we have started gettings goals again. Just somebody who has got a bit of quality about him and can score goals (I'd go Etherington from West Ham United. To me, he's a 10 goal a season striker if somebody can create enough chances for him - and to be honest, we've got a few good midfielders and can create plenty of chances, like Morrison and Brunt).

  12. Everton beat us (West Bromwich Albion) 2 - 1. It's a shame really, Albion were the better team for all of the first half and most of the second half. After Bednar scored a Penalty in the last two minutes, I thought there was a good chance of scoring again, even though we only had 3 minutes of added time. However, I think Everton realised and they just started hoofing the ball everywhere, knowing fully well that we are a team who play football. ¬_¬
