I, personally, don't think major corporations should be able to retaliate against an employee who feels like they may have been mistreated due to their race.
Got a point. But that's why I said wait a year or two.

Now, if only CB Bucknor would go away....
But, seriously, good riddance, Angel Hernandez. And fuck you. After his bullshit racial discrimination suit, they should have waited a year or two (so it didn't look like retaliation) and fired his ass.
Hopefully once he's gone we never hear his name again.

Except that Ticketmaster has been shown to actively price gouge people if tickets are popular enough. Sure, resellers do affect that by buying bulk packages of tickets that they think will sell well, but the floating price system that Ticketmaster uses these days is a big part of the issue. If they had a hard pricing system - "this seat costs X amount of money" - instead of the floating price system that has made so many events ridiculously expensive. That, and the fact that they control ticketing for so many venues, is why we've reached a Sherman Antitrust Case level of legal action.
Nick, Bruce Springsteen tickets are an example of that. He has said he'll never announce his retirement, so tickets to his shows go for several thousands of dollars just in case each tour is his last. There are a lot of little girls and teens who won't be going to see Taylor Swift because the tickets are so pricey their parents can't afford them.
The government needs to go after the resellers, not just Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Impose a limit on ticket sales and make reselling for jacked up prices a crime, since its a form of scalping.

Tried the Night Agent, but couldn't get through it.
I thought the Night Agent was pretty good, but I get it. Its slow and plodding at times.
I found out yesterday that Walker got cancelled.
Oh, and the wrong person won The Masked Singer season 11, I thought. And apparently so did half the audience.
Don't get me wrong: I'm fine with it, but I thought the other person was a little better. Its not like the season where Bishop Briggs won after being saved by the bell her first performance and most of her performances after being dreadful.
SpoilerGoldfish (Vanessa Hudgens) beat Gumball (Scott Porter), and I thought overall he more performances that were better. And I didn't care for her first performance during the finale.
Also, only had two contestants this season that I didn't figure out the identities of by their second performance. And that's because one of the two eliminated themself right away. (The Book, whose identity was obvious as hell.)
Do NOT get me started on Survivor!

The problem with Ticketmaster is resellers. They buy out tickets in a matter of minutes then jack up the prices so much that they aren't affordable to most people. Going from $30 from Ticketmaster to $1000 through a reseller is bullshit. Its a different form of scalping. Last time I checked, scalping was illegal in a lot of places. This should be, as well.

Series finale of The Good Doctor was great, but also sucked at the same time.
I do recommend watching it, but you might need tissues.
Also, characters from The Rookie Feds are in the latest episode of The Rookie, and the cliffhanger that Rookie Feds ended on gets answered.

Very quickly remembering why I gave up fantasy baseball. First time back in 7 years and forgot that if I get caught up in things in the morning I can and will have guys on the bench I didn't want to be, usually starting pitchers because I have to cycle guys to the bench on their off-days.
Had a meeting early this morning, at the time I'd normally make lineup changes - completely slipped my mind otherwise. And so Paul Skenes is sitting on my bench twirling a gem. Ugh. Daily fantasy just doesn't work for me.
I quit playing fantasy baseball for several years because I had one season blown up by too many injuries. Including three third basemen in a row. The first one went down with a season ending injury just under a month into the season. The one I signed to replace him got hurt after a week, and the one I signed after that lasted slightly less than two weeks.
The group I regularly did fantasy baseball AND football with stopped doing either a couple of years ago, and only does weekly football picks for fun/bragging rights on a message board.

I honestly appreciate that they're trying to do something unique and feel like more teams should be attempting it. I also think they'd look much better with blue pants as the khaki really sticks out like a sore thumb.

The good news: the game is out July 19th
The bad news: the description in the game store is entirely focused on Ultimate Team
So basically need to hope they hit Dynasty out of the park on the first try because they'll likely go the way of Madden and ignore it in favor of Ultimate Team in all future installments. I hate EA.
Won't happen, but what would be cool is if you could create a player in NCAA, play his college carrer, then transfer him over to Madden and continue through the NFL.

Corman's Poe adaptations, especially Masque of The Red Death, are all must-sees. In fact, I think the latter should be required viewing in some filmmaking courses.
Plus, Vincent Price is freakin' brilliant in it.

For those who haven’t seen episode 10 yet be aware it does have an end credits scene
Yeah. I've not watched the last 3 episodes yet because I wanted to wait until all 3 were available and watch them all together, but was too tired last night. And I've already had that spoiled due to some asshat on Facebook.

I don't like the musical number - and it's one of the most glaring "we didn't pay for the music" moments that the set-up is the word "Twist", in a Beatles episode, and they don't play "Twist & Shout" - but I kind of allow it in terms of what the point of this series is; there are these powerful reality-bending entities breaking through into our universe, and it's thrown everything off, and one of the ways that manifests is these fourth wall breaking moments.
Mostly, this was just two episodes that reminded me how much I dislike RTD. He's remembered fondly for broad strokes storytelling, but his individual episodes are badly written, and generally rely on inventing a new magic power for the Doctor, or using some hitherto unmentioned in-universe bit of magic to resolve everything, and then tricking viewers into thinking that's everything more connected than it is just by seeding phrases through the other episodes. "Bad Wolf" syndrome.
The musical number was dumb, and you're right about the "we didn't pay for the music", but what I did like? Murray Gold was there at a piano in a blink and miss it moment, and the dance they were doing for part of it was The Twist. Chubby Checker would be happy.
I'm liking Gatwa so far, and he has set a few firsts:
First non-caucasian Doctor
First Doctor with facial hair
First Doctor who doesn't wear a coat or jacket all the damn time
He's a `fun' Doctor like Tom Baker and David Tennant (10, that is), and those happen to be my two favorites.

I'm having issues with Netflix, anyway: Freezes while watching sometimes. Sometimes it runs really slow while scrolling or while adding to my list or setting a reminder. Do not have those issues with other streaming services.

Jinx doing the heavy lifting and the stupid musical number at the end are why I gave that episode 3 stars.
Space Babies was garbage.
-
Space Babies: 2 stars, and I'm being generous. Haven't given a rating that low since Thirteen's first season.
The Devil's Chord: 3 stars, but just barely.

Some teams don't officially retire numbers, I know. And some of them that don't just don't assign certain numbers. Washington, for example, hasn't had anyone wear 44 since John Riggins retired.

Yep! I kind of liked it actually. It's idea of what robots would be like in the future was charming
The heat-seeking missile bullet was an interesting concept.
Gene Simmons was better in Trick or Treat and Wanted: Dead or Alive. But he's not exactly a threat to win an Oscar.

Runaway with Tom Selleck, I'm guessing?

There are some numbers that I'm surprised aren't retired by certain teams. Dallas not retiring 88 for Drew Pearson or Michael Irvin, for example.

And we have an early trade involving an All Star:
Padres get: 2B Luis Arraez
Marlins get: RP Woo-Suk Go, OF Dillon Head, OF Jakob Marsee, and 1B/OF Nathan Martorella
The latter two were informed in-game, with Martorella standing on second base
Have to really feel for Martorella. Not only does he find out while playing in a game, but he's going from a farm team for a legit contender to a farm team for one of the worst teams in the league. (Yes, its still early, but the Marlins are in the same division as the Braves and Phillies, and its too early to count out the Nationals.)

The guy hasn't had more than 600 yards receiving in the last 4 seasons, only ever even got close once. Who the hell is offering him MORE than $8 million a year?
At this point, he should be situational usage or just a body to fill a bench spot.

I'm just trying to point out that they shouldn't have waited so long to give him the boot, and I think a couple of years after his lawsuit would have been a better time to do so. Doing it immediately after would have looked like retaliation. A couple of years wouldn't.
He is incompetent, and has been for years. This is nothing new. Yes, he's gotten worse, but MLB should have gotten rid of him before it got to this point.
