Anyone see that Havlat kick to the gonads?
Oh man. You want to talk about cheap shots...
-
BRYAN MARCHMENT?
... shit.
-
Oh yeah. I watched Cam Ward in the WHL. It was obvious even then how good he was.
The Flames have themselves a field day tonight. 3-1 win, shoulda been 6 or 7 goals if it wasn't for Marc Denis.
-
3-2 Habs. Perezhogin with a nice one.

All three of my teams played like shit. What are the odds?

Hossa has a coke problem, FYI.
-
Why not? Hossa sucks.
He'll score a goal per game for you... when he feels like showing up. That doesn't happen often.
-
The Atlanta Braves... hell yeah!

I've only cried over two sporting events.
1) My HS football team's loss in the city semifinals last year. I was a senior then, and it was my last game. I believe that playing HS football changed my life in a way that nothing else has: ending that experience was too hard not to cry.
2) The Expos' last home game. I'd been a fan since I was four years old, and it was horrible when I finally realized, after the last out, that the team wasn't going to be saved anymore.

Apparently, the guy who was being chopped at (Dan Tice) is a notorious cheap-shot artist who'd already knocked another player cold in that game with a sucker-punch.
If that's true, you gotta feel less sympathy for him.

Shows you just what metal really stands for.
Shitty music being played by miserable excuses for human beings.

I really like the "Party Boy" gimmick for Jannetty.
I picture him dressed as Wayne from "Wayne's World". Jannetty looks so much like him that it'd fit.

The negotiations are dead. It's over.

It was like the Nets broke into Toronto's house and swiped their TV.
Only to find that the thing is broken down, shows nothing but whiny static, and is coin-operated.

If you want some good Fleetwood Mac, get "The Dance", which is basically a live greatest-hits collection they did in 1997. The thing is awesome.

Speaking of Covers, the Beegees have got to be the most covered band of all time, those high pitched bitches!

I'm getting my fix with the Western Hockey League, and my hometown Calgary Hitmen.

Why is Lex Luger still "The Narcissist"? He changed to his "Made in the USA" character in mid-1993.
-
The best player ever was probably Roberto Clemente. The penultimate all-rounder whose career was cut way too short.
The only guy around right now who could someday measure up to Clemente's talent in all realms is Vladimir Guerrero, who has drawn comparisons to Clemente.

Metal sucks ass. Simple as that.

Calgary 2004.

Phoenix Coyotes -------> Winnipeg Jets
Nashville Predators ----> Quebec Remparts (Nords is out, COL's owner owns the name)
Tampa Bay Lightning -----> Seattle Storm
Florida Panthers ------> Houston Wranglers
Mighty Ducks of Anaheim ------> Portland (Name of team)
Pittsburgh Penguins -------> K.C. Scouts
I think that the rest of the troubled teams will turn around in time.

That was actually Robert Edwards, Anthony Thomas was also Offensive Rookie of the Year, but it was for the Chicago Bears, and I agree with you he was really really good that year. He came back but was NOWHERE near what he once was.
