I haven't really been looking into releases for next year so I'll just list the two big gigs i'm looking forward to next year. Slipknot/Coheed & Cambria/Trivium Feb. 3rd Warped Tour 2009

  5. Major Nelson reported that if you signed up for the preview thingy that you get in early today, as well. Which is how I get in.
  6. But, but, but, microsoft loves me . Yeah anyways, avatars really are more advanced miis since most of the choices on how to make your face and all that jazz are nearly the same.
  7. Tomorrow? More like having avatars now. Yay for getting the nxe early!
  8. It's like I think on the same wavelength as YI when it comes to silverstein or something. >_> Oh and Automatic Loveletter (as YI pointed out) need more props in this thread as they are weak.
  9. Definatley picking up the DK pack as that is some good shit and probably the two Lacuna Coil songs. And also, Energizer's running a promotion where you buy like there advanced lithium (i think) batteries, you get a free DLC song out of it.
  10. The tracks are all rather fun, and pretty tough to boot. The opening to Thunderstruck is reminiscent to Through the fire and the flames. It seems more like a concert, well considering that it's based off one and that the crowd noise is amped up. The achivements are meh since there's only 250 points to get and it's built off the Rock Band 1 engine which seems kind of like a downgrade, imo. If you have 40 bucks lying around, I'd say get it and then just export them into rock band 2, as the disc itself isn't really worthwhile.
  11. DLC for 11/4 POTUS Three Pack Presidents of the United States of America- Dune Buggy Presidents of the United States of America- Feather Pluckn Presidents of the United States of America- Ladybug Hinder - Use Me Fallout Boy - I Don't Care Each of the POTUS tracks are $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the whole pack. The tracks for Hinder and Fallout Boy are $.99 (80 Microsoft Points) each for a limited time (1 month). All tracks are masters. Also, the 20 free songs will be out on 11/4 as well, with the AC/DC track pack coming out on 11/2, so a lot of songs coming out this week.
  12. Big news coming from the Wall Street Journal of all places. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122531701276881747.html The Beatles confirmed for Rock Band.
  13. So pretty much Tom Sawyer + The Touch + Buster from Arrested Development = another fantastic episode of Chuck. And the preview for the next episode in 2 weeks was great. Chuck-"And she slept with Bryce." Casey-"Who hasn't?"
  14. DLC for 10/28 (as confirmed by IGN) Siouxsie & the Banshees "Hong Kong Gardens" "Kiss Them For Me" "Killing Jar" All 160 points ($2), unknown if it'll be a pack, but probably. Blink 182-Dammit 160 points ($) Silversun Pickups "Melatonin" "Well Thought Out Twinkies" All 160 points ($2) Psychedelic Furs-"Pretty In Pink" 160 points ($2)
  15. The 20 free DLC has been announced. Dropping November 4th. 16. That was a case where someone misquoted a rep from Harmonix and it got blown way out of proportion. So it was never officially confirmed that Nevermind was going to come out as an album. And fuck Visions for hindering my getting of the bladder of steel achivement.
  17. Time to put on some flannel for this weeks DLC. Breed Lounge Act On a Plain Polly Something in the Way Stay Away Territorial Pissings All tracks are masters. The full Nirvana 7 Pack will $10.99 (880 Microsoft Points) or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track. These tracks will be available on Xbox360 on October 21st and on the PS3 on October 23rd.
  18. Since harmonix made rock band and gh 1, 2, and 80s, it'll be more like those than as some people would say, the "overcharted" gh3 charts. And with rb2 coming out in the states this upcoming weekend for ps3 you could just order the US version since I think the ps3 is region free.
  19. Yeah you can do that, but since there's no bundles with the game and one instrument, you'll have to buy 'em separately. And if you prefer guitar hero's guitar (the les paul, i'm not sure about the new one) I think they've gotten the issue of it not playing on rock band worked out so you can use that one if you don't like the stratocaster.
  20. 10/14 DLC Dr Feelgood Slice of Your Pie Rattlesnake Shake Kickstart My Heart Without You Same Ol' Situation (SOS) Sticky Sweet She Goes Down Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) Time for Change All tracks are masters. Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood album is available for $15.99 (1280 Microsoft Points) for the whole album or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track. These tracks will be available on Xbox 360 on October 14th and on the PS3 on October 16th.
  21. Yeah, it was a disappointment. It almost seemed like to me that they're almost going for like a pop-punk sound in some songs.
  22. DLC for 10/7 Offspring Three-Pack Gone Away Pretty Fly Self Esteem Each track is available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the complete three pack. All tracks are masters. We also have - Stop! by Against Me! All Right Now by Free Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood Cream & Bastards Rise Harvey Danger Nearly Lost You by Screaming Trees Push It by Static-X Each of these tracks is available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points). All tracks are masters.
  23. Full press release coming tomorrow, but in the mean time, http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/30/arts/mus...amp;oref=slogin Rock Band AC/DC Track Pack containing songs from the DVD Live at Donnington to be released in US Walmart store only.
  24. It's something to do with how the 360 can only hold the cache of like 4 or 5 game updates at a time so if you play a few games in between playing it again, it'll prompt you to reupdate the game as the 360 forgot about it.
