  1. That was... wow. Brutally uncomfortable, in a good way. I was honestly extremely disappointed in the way the Governor was adapted, and Negan, in one episode, at least to me, looks way more menacing than the Governor ever did in the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a brilliant casting choice, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

They keep in the bit where Wolverine is tricked by Mysterio into murdering all of the X-Men. That was brutal in the comics. Mysterio created an illusion that a team of supervillains were attacking the X-Mansion and Wolverine couldn't find the X-Men, so he murdered all of the villains by himself only to find out afterward that he'd murdered his team and caused his mental breakdown.

Is there a Mysterio-like villain Fox can use, though? They can't use Mysterio, with him being a Spider-Man villain, thus being at Sony/Marvel. Maybe Mesmero? But I kind of doubt it, maybe they can allude to it via narrative, but I honestly don't think they will keep that part in the movie.

    This looks... amazing, actually.

EDIT: The international red band trailer is also available. It has just slightly different footage, but also shows a sample of the movie's violence at 1.27 minutes in.

  4. I'm trying to save up money so I didn't pre-order this year, I was going to wait until it was cheaper, and from what I saw I just wasn't excited about it, at all. I don't care much for the Universe mode or the career mode, I spent most of my time in the Showcase, and when they removed that my interest went way down, and holy hell, seems like I was lucky for once.

Does it adequately explain why there seems to be 2 Jubilee's? Are they related somehow, or do we just forget the bit part player in the original trilogy and move on as if this current one is the only Jubilee?

Second option, I think. Same with Psylocke, I guess.

  6. I finally managed to go and watch Suicide Squad tonight. I didn't hate it, I didn't leave at the end hating the fact that I had spent money to watch it like I did with BvS (except for the Joker's parts, because holy fuck was he awful), but I didn't like it either, it was just... there. I do feel it's a huge missed opportunity, though.

What's awful about it? Is it not just a straight adaptation?

The part that irks me is, like I said, the part about Batman & Batgirl.

In the movie, they have a sexual relationship, shown on screen (as much as they possibly can), to give Batman more of a personal stake against the Joker, which, honestly, besides being just no-no for me, is completely unnecessary because I don't think the point of the story is about Batman pursuing revenge against the Joker, it's about Joker trying to madden Gordon and giving insight into Joker's twisted logic. Well, for me, anyway.

I haven't read anything else about the movie, but apparently, despite that, is just not that good, maybe.

  8. I was really interested in watching it, because I really do like the Killing Joke story, but I dunno, some of the changes I read they made (regarding Batgirl and Batman's... ahem, relationship status) really turned me off of it. Dunno, it just seemed wrong enough for me to not like it and I feel it detracts from the general story.
