I'm a long way away from being an expert on how to run a football club, but howcome these days, whenever a club is doing badly, it's always the manager who gets the boot? Could it not possibly be the team that are rubbish?
It's a lot cheaper to fire the manager than the team (Y)
Trouble is, if the team are shit, a new manager changes nothing.

Here's something that's bugging me at the moment about FM2005: From December onwards I keep getting physio reports telling me a certain member of my starting XI is "in need of a rest". However I know, from past experience, that absolutely NOTHING I do seems to help this for longer than a week. Everything from leaving him out of the squad for a bit to completely removing him from everything (including training) for a month just doesn't work, and so as the season progresses I get more and more people like this until almost all my squad is "in need of a rest" and playing shitly.
So I ask: what in hell actually constitutes as "a rest" to these people?

Holding off patching for a while because of the apparent chairman interference problem it causes, so I'll ask here:
Anyone else having a problem with a glitch where clubs you apply for the manager's job at don't actually appoint anyone?
I started the game unemployed and applied with the USA and Southend, and got the Southend job. I'm two years in, and I've moved to Peterbrough, but I still have an application in at the USA. I also still have applications in for all the other jobs I applied for when trying to leave Southend, some of which have been there for 6 months.

It's a decent list, granted, shame to see The Virgin Suicides so low, it's one of my all-time favourites, I feel sorry for the people who watched the film before they read the book though.
I know I missed the voting, but... No Wuthering Heights? Jesus H. Christ.

Probably. Goes to show, there are a lot of dumb people in this world. "I'll buy extra tickets and scalp them on eBay!" "Oh, shit, they added a second date" "oh, fuck, look at my eBay bill"
Twats.

Anyone know where I can get the patch without using the 'check for updates' button? I don't have the internet on my games PC (yet)
Also, anyone know if they're going to fix the colour recognition on kits? I'm playing as Peterbrough ATM and any time a play a team that wears blue, we're BOTH wearing blue. Which is as confusing as fuck.

Is he coming up north? I could do with a night out.

Kind of MLS connected - They've been advertising a job on the website for a Youth Development Exec. Anyone know if they've actually filled it? Because it's paying a fair chunk and I've got the coaching badges for it.

Why does everything have to be brought into line with American standards?
-
Well, credit to them for trying. If Multiplex pull their finger out and learn the difference between builders and burgers, anything is possible.
I can't believe they're dumb enough to try and compete with me on June 16th though

Previous experience has taught me you'll get a better price for them at Gamestation, unless it's a serial game (Like PES1-4) because they only sell them on for a pound, so they're worth nothing. Those you should take to Game.

Now all they ned to do is take it off subscrition. Since they require a credit card to subscribe and credit cards are evil.

Muse think they'll fill 75,000? Presumably the 'three support acts' are Aerosmith, U2 and Queen?

I didn't want to insult Americans' intelligence, even though I know it came off that way, I'm just saying that Corner Gas is more intelligent than Americans expect from a sitcom.

Screw Citizen Kane. This could be better than Ready To Rumble!

Handball is pretty decent, like a fast-paced mix of basketball, football and hockey. It's better than Rugby at least.

MLS approves "Beckham Rule"
This really is pretty big news for the MLS, this keeps in place the salary cap sorta, but it will allow teams to be able to go out and get the big name players if they so choose. This is be called the Beckham rule since there are a couple of teams that are looking to make a bid for Beckham when he becomes avalible and this new rule makes it possible for them to get the big name players. Hopefully teams put this to good use and go out and get some highly talented players to for one thing improve the league and hopefully get the league more popular.

Metal version of 99 Red Balloons. It'd be awesome.

I'm on Scrubs detox at the moment. You know you watch too much of it when you talk like Cox in everyday life. Believe me, my boss was none too pleased when I called him Sally in quite an important meeting a few weeks ago.

I watched the ever-exciting sport of chess on there a few weeks ago. Now, don't get me wrong, I love playing chess, it's a good way to keep your brain active (Espescially on slow work days) but it's not a sport and, even if t was, it's incredibly boring to watch.

I personally take Murder She Wrote over Diagnosis Murder; DM is a bit too medical for me. Plus the fact that Jessica Fletcher happens to know about ten thousand people makes me laugh.

What season is that? I don't remember it... But if it's season five, I haven't bought the DVDs yet...
