  1. I had a game with a number of small European and ex Soviet Union nations. Took over Qarabag Agdem, finished 3rd the first season and won the next 4 titles on the trot. Got the Kazakhstan national team job and finished 3rd out of 5 in my Euro qualifying group but did not qualify for the playoffs. Quit the Qarabag job because I could not get anyone else to offer me a job. Once I was unemployed I was beating clubs off with a stick until I eventually took the Rubin Kazan job. In my first season with Rubin and hoping to crack the top 3 but there are some excellent teams and the Russian player minimums are a real pain.

  2. Let me be the first to say that I have no interest in C. Ronaldo coming to City. We'll be made to look like muggs paying that much for him, meanwhile United will get Sneijder and De Gea for less than a third of the price. I'd much rather battle for Sneijder and Alexis Sanchez. Maybe a cheeky bid for Baines or Michel Bastos as well.

  3. There may be a tit or two in the crowd that boo Ronaldo if he returns to OT, but I'd put money on it that pretty much every United fan gives him a great reception. That guy walked away with his head held high and gets nothing but respect. He's always said great things about the club, Ferguson, the fans and so on. People hate on him, but he's shown he's a classy guy in that respect, and that's not even taking into account everything he did for our club, which was a sensational period.

I wouldn't boo Tevez, because I couldn't give a shit what he does really. He left for more money and went to MANCHESTER CITY for crying out loud, so it's pretty understandable that most United fans are going to shit on him. Not to mention he doesn't exactly speak of our club highly and has put down SAF in the past. That's the big difference really. Oh and that little thing of him saying he wouldn't dream of signing for a massive rival team like Liverpool, only to sign for City, but hey, money talks for many footballers, his choice, no surprise he gets booed by United fans though.

AHA! But according to United players and fans we aren't really your rivals. So technically Carlos didn't join a 'Massive Rival' if we go based on the drivel pouring from Trafford. Do me a favor and do one. United fans didn't seem to have a problem with Carlos joining them from West Ham, it's only when a player chooses to leave the club on his own terms that he suddenly becomes a mercenary.

  4. Changing league co-efficients is definitely in the game now but I am very intrigued by dynamic league reputations. I had a game a long while back where as Bohemians I had won the league something like 5 or 6 times on the trot and had made it to the Group Stage of the Champions League twice. In real life that would lift the profile of the league, even if it was just minimal, but in the game I was consistently limited by the types of players I could bring in. Hopefully this new feature would alleviate that.

  5. My latest game is with Blackpool. Just barely stayed up the first season but I made a ton of money so I had a nice little kitty to work with.

My current 25 man squad is

GK Stipe Pletikosa (Joined from Spartak Moscow for 325k)

    GK Paul Rachubka

    GK Matty Gilks

DEF Ibrahim Kargbo (Joined from Willem II for 2.9m)

    DEF Dekel Keinan

    DEF Neal Eardley

DEF Inigo Sarasola (Joined from Sociedad for 275k)

    DEF Craig Cathcart

    DEF Ian Evatt

    DEF Chris Basham

DEF Jose Manuel Catala (Joined from Villarreal on a free)

DEF Paul Beekmans (Joined from SC Cambuur for 55k)

MID Sotiris Leontiou (Joined from Panathinaikos for 220k)

    MID Malaury Martin

    MID Elliot Grandin

MID Jason Koumas (Joined on a free)

MID Madson (Joined from Santos from 1.9m)

    MID Gary Taylor-Fletcher

    MID Charlie Adam

MID Luis Boa Morte (Joined on a free)

    MID Jason Euell

MID Radoslaw Majewski (Joined from Nottm Forest for 325k)

FW Jermaine Beckford (Joined on free)

FW Vaclav Kadlec (Joined from Sparta Prague for 3.6m)

FW Garry O'Connor (Joined from Birmingham in straight swap for Alex John-Baptiste)

FW Christian Vieri(Joined on a free)

I realize that there are 26 names but I included Kadlec because he plays a lot but he is U-21 so not actually registered. In January Diego Tardelli is joining from Atletico Miniero for 11.25m so he'll likely replace Vieri and hopefully bang in the goals. Have a lot of nice young players who may or may not pan out. Jeffren, Koke, and Samir Kouakbi chief amongst them.

  6. This season has just been heartbreaking. Great show, and I think they've done an extremely good job maintaining the tone of the show while changing so much, but it can be hard to watch at times.

It has really been a tough season. Easily the best since the first and I think I like this group of kids more than any previous. I was starting to really like Matt so it was tough to lose him but I think Vince has become one of the most compelling characters in the show's history. Plus we still have Riggins.

  7. Some City fans were in melt down over this. Personally I could give a shit. I mean I heard his explanation today and I believe him, even though I don't believe he should have had to make a statement. It's not as though I think he loves Arsenal, as evidenced by his celebration and kicking Van Persie in the face. I'm not worried, but many were going nuts about it.

  8. While I'm sure that the BCS played their part in this, the biggest villains in this story have to be the Fiesta Bowl organizers. Why they would select TCU over Iowa when TCU can't even sell their own place out is beyond me. If they had picked Iowa, we wouldn't have seen this total boning of a contest between TCU and Boise. I think TCU rocks Boise and instead of now two interesting matchups, we get a non-BCS matchup and Georgia Tech/Iowa in a game that NO ONE cares about. It's too bad Colt's pass didn't float a half a second longer because if it had I'm not sure the voters would have put Cincy ahead of TCU. Even though I'm not sure who is better out of TCU or Texas, I think Texas is made to order for Alabama and I think TCU would have given them a much better game. I see TCU, Alabama, and GT rolling, Oregon beating OSU by around 10 and Florida and Cincinnati playing a surprisingly competitive game that Florida will win with another "magical" Tebow moment late in the 4th.

  9. I thought the ending was both good and crappy. I think it could have been better if the body had just been thrown at the camera and that was it. The whole sniffing the body and growling at the camera thing was unnecessary plus the whole Unbreakable style ending with "The cops found Micah's Body" "Katie is missing" was lame. Oh and how did the cops know to come check it out?

How would the cops know to come check it? When both of them stopped showing up to work or school? When their families couldn't get in touch with them?

But if I remember the time stamp correctly, they came THAT day. I agree that over time someone would alert them but THAT day? I just can't get behind that whole ending past throwing his body into the camera.

  11. Alright I need some help remember the name of this movie I saw a while ago. The movie is based on this guy who is a serial killer and he kills people for a specific body part and there is an investigation following it. They finally find the guy's hideout or whatever and he's taken all the body parts from his victims and sewn them together to create a replica of Jesus. His last victim is supposed to be a son born from someone named Mary at a specific time or a specific date. This has been bothering me for a long time because I can't remember the name of the movie.

  12. Why, because they went on the road and won against Michigan State who are a VERY solid team? I don't understand the logic. If that's the case call Alabam horrible too because they had to block a kick to beat Tennessee.

Bottom line, you don't get consistently lucky. Their close calls to ASU and the other lower level team are interesting, but they stepped up on the road against tough teams. Just because MSU isn't ranked, doesn't make them bad. Losses by 2, 3, 8, and now 2 again - all against quality opponents (Dan LeFavour is no joke). Iowa State beating Nebraska sort of helps them a tiny tiny bit as well - Iowa has won road games in Iowa City, Happy Valley, Madison, and now East Lansing. Not to mention Iowa still has to go TO Columbus to play, and if they win that too - wow.

Meanwhile you meantion USC who is getting another media blowjob. They lost to Washington, struggled at home against Oregon State. Meanwhile, Cincinnati went on the road to Oregon State and beat them easily. And UC has other road wins at Rutgers and South Florida. USC is a good team, don't get me wrong, but saying they would dominate Iowa when USC has struggled against quality teams themselves so far this year is a bit miffing.

I only mentioned USC because they've been the ones doing the smacking of Big 10 teams recently. I don't like USC particularly either, but they've been the ones crushing us lately. The fact is they were a terrible kicker away from losing to an FCS team and they've struggled in several others. My criticism is not at MSU but more at the UNI games and Ark St. Not to mention their fans are incredible. They celebrated like they won the national title when they survived UNI, they rushed the field when they beat Michigan despite be ranked and favored, and they left it to the last play of the game to beat Michigan State. They are not that good and have beaten no one of note besides Penn State. Michigan has only beaten Notre Dame and my Wisconsin has beaten nobody. The Big 10 feels like it is down even more than it has been in previous years and people are talking like Iowa is the greatest team ever. I pray they beat OSU, though I think they'll get smacked because like I said earlier, I want to see them come back down to Earth as hard as they possibly can in the BCS.

  13. After hating on Iowa all season I've decided that I now want them to go undefeated. Once they go undefeated they will got to a BCS and they will get murdered and then all of their bat shit crazy fans will realize that they are an embarrassingly lucky team. I can only hope for an Iowa/USC Rose Bowl so that Iowa can feel the sting of a 60something to 20something loss. I realize that I am just a bitter Big 10 fan, but Iowa are fucking awful, maybe the worst Big 10 team to go undefeated this late in the season.
