  1. Started a game with Crewe, trying to do a Dario Gradi but I may end up leaving for greener pastures. Sold David Vaughan to Leicester for 725,000 pounds almost immediately, signed a deal with Everton which saw Scott Cuthbert(bought from Celtic) and James Vaughan join on loan. Also brought in Scott Dixon on loan from Southampton after he chose to join them over me and Lee Holmes from Derby to play on my left side. Needed one more striker so I went abroad and bought Bolivian striker Jose Alfredo Castillo from Orient Petrolero for 450,000. Was doing alright after a bobble to start the season, fulfilling my mid table predictions but two consecutive results changed my season. Two games in the Christmas/New Year's window where I fell behind 2-0 at half only to charge back with 4 second half goals in each game to win 4-3. My team was overflowing with confidence and we got hot pretty much the entire second half of the season, chasing down the other surprise package Brighton who were at one point 17 points ahead of me. Clinched the title at rivals Port Vale on the second last day of the season, so we have one game left and we are attempting to make it 100 league goals for the campaign. Castillo has been an absolute revelation with 27 league goals(32 overall) and 12 assists, but my main problem is that he has a 2.5 million pound release and Derby are interested so I need to try to re-sign him with a higher one. James Vaughan was also huge, he had 25 league goals. Bought Jason Puncheon in January for 200,000 and he's been good business as well, playing on both wings when we went through a major injury crisis in March and April, which with his help we were able to continue through in a strong fashion. Signed Shavar Thomas on a free, so I'm trying my best to start building a team for next season before this one ends haha.

  2. Ahahahahahahahahahahahaahhaa

How is it possible to lose to Iceland?!

    ICELAND?!

At least if you lose to Poland most of them are builders, so are physically fit and can run around after you.

    But Iceland?

I'd be fucking embarrased if I lived in Northern Ireland.

Bigal may not be seen for months.

  3. The only thing I could see on that yellow card was that after he showed it, he pointed towards Terry. I'm almost 100% positive that we will hear that as the explanation when all is said and done. As far as the penalty, it was a bit soft, but I can sort of see the case for why you might make the call. That being said, it was harsh and maybe Liverpool deserved better. All that matters is that Chelsea have not gotten 3 points and that we are top!

  4. United were all over us for the first 30 of the first half and the first 25 of the second half, but our defense, especially Dunne and Richards(MoM for me), were absolutely immense. Kasper looked pretty good aside from one spill. Thought we did well to rebound after losing Bojinov just 5 minutes. Maybe a harsh scoreline, but I fucking hate the Rags so I'm ok with it. We're top, even if it is just three games in.

I don't think there's any doubting that Richards was man of la match today. If anyone has him in their Fantasy Footy side, expect to get MoM points from him tomorrow. If he isn't/wasn't awarded MoM, then I'd like to see who they gave it to. Dunne came close (always good against United it seems) but they can't give it to Geovanni just on the basis of his goal, can they? :ohwell:

  5. United were all over us for the first 30 of the first half and the first 25 of the second half, but our defense, especially Dunne and Richards(MoM for me), were absolutely immense. 6. It's a wonder one of the City players didn't try ending his career in the next derby. God knows if someone did that to a teammate, I'd make sure he regretted it for a long time next time I got the chance to.

As far as Materazzi, he finally admitted to calling Zidane's sister a whore.

  7. Brilliant first half for City, second half was a bit pins and needles until Geo came on. Corluca looked very solid, good to great tackler, Garrido outside of his yellow card looked solid as well. Petrov shot a few too many times, but showed that he can deliver a nice cross on that left. Bianchi and Bojinov are going to be a handful for defenses, all the both of them do is run and run and run and Bianchi especially holds the ball up well. Nedum looked good after he came on, Micah was a rock and could find himself in central for England. Dunney was there, solid but unspectacular, Johnson had some poor touches but he'll grow into it and I thought Ireland didn't look up to it today, not sure how long he'll hold the spot for. Hamman was out there to kick some lumps in Freddy it looked like, so he did that pretty well and Geo looked very nice for the 11 minutes that he was in, should have made it two though. Kasper looked okay, flapped a few times but made right decisions for the most part. Sad part is, City played more attractive football today than they did in the whole of last season, hopefully we can keep it going with Derby Wednesday and the Rags on the 19th.

  8. Another young American is moving in Europe U.S. midfielder Benny Feilhaber got a work permit to play for Derby County in the English Premier League as reported by Espn.com.

I like the move for him he was already "playing" with Hamburg in Bundesliga but he will get a chance to potentially get a lot of playing time in the EPL now even if it is only for a year with Derby likely going back down.

  9. I'm hoping United retain the title, and I'm expecting Newcastle or Tottenham to be moving into the top four with Chelsea and Liverpool. I think Arsenal will just miss out on a top four spot this year. It's going to be an interesting season this year.
  10. The Office and Extras are the best. Scrubs is the only American show I really like at the moment. Two programmes that have gone unmentioned are Teachers and Shameless, which are both quality. Of course, all sitcoms suck in comparison to South Park.
