Yeah, the entire Diamondbacks organization is in disarray and when Randy Johnson hsa finally parted ways with them, all Arizona fans will have to look forward to is the waining years of Luis Gonzalez's career and waiting for J.D. Drew's little bro, Stephen, to make it to the majors. Outside of that, there will be no reason to go see that team. And everyone thought the 1997 Marlins breakdown was the worst ever. They made it back in 2003. It is going to take more than 6 years for Arizona to be any good again.

The Pacers continue to add bodies to their front line for depth to their vastly inexperienced frontcourt with yet another unexperienced forward in former Milwaukee lottery pick and preseason cut Marcus Haislip. He joins Tremaine Fowlkes and Britton Johnsen as recent signings by the Pacers.
And in other news, New Jersey has resurfaced in the Shareef Abdur-Rahim sweepstakes. They are willing to trade him for Jason Kidd when Kidd shows that he is fully recovered from knee surgery. Here's the hitch though, NJ wants Portland's lottery pick PG, Sebastian Telfair, included in the deal, with NJ forward Awvee Storey heading with Kidd to Portland.

The Yankees are out of the Randy Johnson sweepstakes for now, but for good reason. Listen to this ridiculous proposal of what Arizona wanted from the Yankees, straight up for Johnson:
Javier Vazquez
Tom Gordon
top prospect Eric Duncan
top prospect Chien-Ming "Tiger" Wang
$12 million-$20 million cash
And for the Yankees to trade for one of the following ten pitchers to include in the trade:
Oakland's Tim Hudson
Oakland's Barry Zito
Florida's A.J. Burnett
Detroit's Jeremy Bonderman
Toronto's Ted Lilly
Los Angeles' Edwin Jackson
Tampa Bay's Scott Kazmir
Colorado's Shawn Chacon
Colorado's Jason Jennings
Texas' Kenny Rogers
Ain't that a bit steep for just one person???
C'Mon, let the Unit finish his career with a team with a chance.
(hahahaha I said unit...)

That's a good job for Fratello even though there will be pressure to replicate what Hubie did last year. He does well with young players and if this Grizzlies team got a jolt of energy from a new coach maybe it'd knock them out of the funk they've been in. Geez, they got taken out by my Knicks tonight, and that just shouldn't happen. Don't get me wrong I love my Knicks but the winner of the Atlantic Division will have no more than 39 wins. Just sad.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Milton Bradley is the man. He is crazy and gets big hits. I am surprised he didn't go after the fans before Artest did. Plus I think that Arthur Rhodes is garbage, even if LA needs a lefty out of the pen. Re-sign Beltre than get a big bat to play either first or the outfield and I like my chances with this team.
ewwwwwwww Arthur Rhodes.

Giants signed Armando Benitez today. Let's hope he just played well in a contract year and he'll return to the when will he give up a home run next form of his Mets days. Beware Pat Burrell Armando, even though he ain't in your division anymore.

Now the Gramatica brothers can go to the unemployment office together YAY!!!! Maybe they'll both celebrate and tear all four of their combined ACLs at the same time YAY!!!!!!!!
Bill Schroeder, you know your career is over when you are brought in as a "veteran leader" and all you do is return the occasional punt.

The rest of the team minus Dwyane Wade, he's been unreal this season.
-
Yeah it was either gonna be him or Dave Campo. Campo was a less than mediocre coach with Dallas and Robiske has been an interim coach before in Washington when Norv Turner got kicked to the curb.
I don't think Butch Davis should have left in mid-season but I think he saw the Patriots on the schedule and just saved himself another beatdown.
Quick question, I saw on ESPNnews that Daunte Culpepper is leading in the Pro Bowl voting at NFC QB. Is there any place to find this cuz NFL.com and ESPN.com don't have it? Is ESPNnews just speculating? This crap annoys me.
-
Yeah, but I was just taking the stats of the people that were healthy now and/or under contract (outside of Varitek) so that everyone could see how Kendall's HR #'s stood up to everyone else's. Kevin Cash is a garbage player, he hit .193 but still hit one more HR than Kendall did last year.
-
I gotta go with Wonderwall, classic...
-
Anaheim- Bengie Molina 10
Oakland- Jason Kendall 3
Texas- Rod Barajas 15
Seattle- Miguel Olivo 13
Minnesota- Joe Mauer (injured last year) 6
Chicago- Ben Davis 6
Cleveland- Victor Martinez 23
Detroit- Ivan Rodriguez 19
Kansas City- John Buck 12
New York- Jorge Posada 21
Boston- Jason Varitek (for now) 18
Baltimore- Javy Lopez 23
Tampa Bay- Toby Hall 8
Toronto- Kevin Cash 4
Here is all the AL catchers barring free agent moves or trades for next year with their 2004 home runs totals accompanying them. Kendall played much more than most of these guys but is at the bottom of the list in home runs. Joe Mauer hit twice as many in 35 games than Kendall hit in 147. Take into account though that Kendall is a leadoff hitter and Mauer bats from the 5 hole.

I know he's better than the QB's Chicago has available at this point in time but seriously there was noone else, this guy ran himself out of the last three places he played whether it being an asshole or just plain stinking up the joint. He stinks but he's leaps and bounds better than Chad Hutchinson or <<<quiver>>> Jonathan Quinn. And Craig Krenzel, just sit out the rest of the year, don't try to come back.

Veteran QB George joins Bears
NFL.com wire reports
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (Nov. 29, 2004) -- Jeff George signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, returning to the NFL after a three-year absence.
George will be the backup to Chad Hutchinson, who will make his first start in two years against the Minnesota Vikings.
"I'm just excited to be back in it. It's a great opportunity for me and I'm very thankful for them bringing me in," George said after his first practice with his new team. "Whatever role the Bears want me to do, I'm willing to do that. I can't say enough how happy I am and how thankful I am to be out here."
George was the No. 1 pick in the 1990 NFL draft, and has one of the strongest arms in the game. But he's 46-78 as a starter, and has played for six teams, not lasting longer than four years with any one of them.
He developed a reputation as spoiled and petulant, and his problems with coaches have overshadowed his considerable talent. He had a sideline argument with coach June Jones when he was with the Atlanta Falcons in 1996, and the team suspended him and then cut him.
In his next-to-last game with Washington, he and coach Marty Schottenheimer had an animated sideline discussion after George committed four turnovers and was removed from the game.
George hasn't played since 2001, when he was cut after two games with the Redskins. In his last two games with Washington, George had a quarterback rating of 34.6, completing 23 of 42 passes with three interceptions.
George was drafted by Indianapolis and played with the Colts from 1990-93. He was in Atlanta from 1994-96, then spent two seasons with Oakland and one with Minnesota before joining the Redskins in 2000, first as a backup. He was signed by Seattle as insurance midway through the 2002 season, but didn't play.

Butch should take a year off then come back, give him some time to get all the bad shit out of his head before he regresses back to the college game. After that, he can throw his name in the fire and get pretty much any college job that becomes available and a good one seems to pop up every year as someone gets canned.
-
Anybody think that Kelly Holcomb played himself into a contract somewhere next year through last week's game. Ron Jaworski thinks so and I kind of agree with him. He's never gotten a real fair shake to be the man in Cleveland and I think that a place like San Francisco would be an OK fit for him if they didn't draft a QB.
-
Only after they buy a copy of "Allore" first. Or if they refuse to buy it. Or if they look at him funny. Or...

Top 5 Picks in the Draft Potentially as of now
Washington(trade w/ SF)- Mike Williams, WR/USC (Daniel Snyder needs another jersey to sell and he's not gonna bail on Mark Brunell just yet)
Miami- Matt Leinart, QB/USC (The A.J. Feeley, Jay Fiedler Experiment is over)
San Francisco(trade w/ WAS)- Aaron Rodgers, QB/Cal (Good day Tim Rattay, could not happen if they go after Drew Brees instead, but they won't)
Cleveland- Braylon Edwards,WR/Michigan (Whoever is coaching this team next year needs to give Jeff Garcia another T.O., but without the gay jokes)
Tennessee- D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT/Virginia (If Steve McNair retires, then Tennessee will need a big guy to guard his replacement or Billy Volek and open holes for Chris Brown and if this guy comes out, he'll be Top 7.

I know this topic is kinda old but I was just browsing through everything and still can't believe that someone would even bring this up. One of the most satisying feelings in the world is getting ribbed by certain fans of teams cuz they keep owning your team. Once your team finally wins and you get to boast there are few things pertaining to sports better than that. I got that this year with LA, shutting up Giants fans, even those watching the Steve Finley game with me. Just getting to say "What's Up NOW!" is just awesome in my book. Now I am just waiting to shut up Patriots fans about my Colts. Probably won't happen this year though sadly cuz unless Corey Dillon gets hurt, the Colts won't be able to stop the NE running attack.
-
Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush are both filthy and until someone beats them I don't see why they shouldn't get a chance to repeat as National Champions or at least 1.5X National Champion. Matt Leinart is what Mark Brunell should have been but not quite as good as Steve Young in my eyes. He can make the throw take the hit. He just seems to make big plays when he needs to. Expect big things from him in the NFL.
MIKE WILLIAMS IS GOING #1. YOU LOVE THAT SHIT.
-
It's gonna be sad to see the Big 3 split up, but it was inevitable. But at least they still got one of the best 3B in the game in Eric Chavez. That team has done really well with regards to their record compared to how much they spend.
LA in 2005!!! (fuck that who am I kidding)

Damn...Ray Allen is looking more and more like the runawaty MVP every night. He dropped 38 on Utah last night to help his team stay in first with 9 of those coming in overtime.
Seattle is for real...for now. I don't think this team will be able to stay healthy for the entire season, someone will go down.
