  1. Right, so I "obtained" season 1 and the 3 episodes of season 2, and I just have to say that this is a brilliant show. It's hilarious and I can totally relate to the characters. Does anyone know where I can watch a preview for the next episode? Also, why is there only 6 episodes for season 1? Is that normal in England? I'm used to having 18-22 episodes per season over here.

Its normal over here. There is usually only 1 or 2 writers writing the whole series, so they can't knock out as many episodes as in the US.

  2. My dad likes the Rolling Stones far more than the Beatles. I think he thinks of the Beatles as being a kind of sissy band.

Myself, I'm not a huge fan of the Rolling Stones. That being said, I do like their more bluesy 60s songs. I'm not a fan of their music post Exile On Main Street in general. Though Ronnie Wood is awesome.

Nobody's a fan of their post Exile On Main Street stuff.

I love the Stones, but I often feel I have to rein my love in a bit as my Aunt is like their number one fan and I find it a bit odd. Gimme Shelter is the best song ever. FACT.

    What?!?

    It's only rock and roll?

    Fool to Cry?

    Shattered?

    Beast of Burden? (My Favorite!)

    Miss You?

    Emotional Rescue?

    FUCKING START ME UP!?!

EDIT: All of those are after Exile

7 songs out of however many albums there have been released since then isn't really a good batting average is it?

    7. The Clash

    16. The Beatles

    17. Stevie Wonder

    18. Marvin Gaye

    19. Bob Dylan

    20. U2

I stopped liking artists around the number 10 spot.

  5. There are too many blacks on this show, I am confused? Where are the white people? Racism

It took me ages to recognise Stringer Bell on sight. First time you see him he's in a suit, wearing glasses. Sometimes he's not wearing glasses, sometimes he's not wearing a suit. Very confusing.

...it probably boils down to my racism though.

  6. Opeth, Meshuggah and Dir En Grey are all excellent and I want to see them.

My friend's cousin is in You Me At Six. It's a shame that they're shit. I could use that claim to fame more often if they were good. <_<

  7. Bubbles was just on Channel 5. He was playing a part of a snitch.

Poor man seems to have been typecast.

Well, he did show up on Heroes as a man who could create black holes.

Did he snitch on all the other black hole creators?

  8. So she says.

And Bigal, you can't say that giving somebody millions of pounds (for doing fuck all, but that's besides the point) is going to help the economy any. We're in a financial crisis, and yet we can afford to throw tons of it her way. Ergo, that money could go into our system and attempt to restore the current problems.

    Said.

  9. Tickets are £175 now, with £10 booking fee and £5 p+p. Apparently, even if you pick them up, you're still charged the £175. Source: Wikipedia, so I don't know if there is actually any truth behind it, tbh.

Still says £160 on DL's website and through their official Ticketmaster link.

I bought tickets on wednesday and yeah, with the booking fee and p+p its around £175. It's not as stupid as Hard Rock Calling who charge £4 to email your ticket to you.

    Grrrr... Worse than flights. <_<

  10. Neil Young and Blur are the other two headliners aren't they?

If so that's the best they've had for some time.

Not really the acts to attract the younger audience Michael Eavis was whining about not having last year, though is it?

    Still you're not wrong.

Adds Emily Eavis: “I’m knocked out that we’ve managed to get Bruce to play. It’s the icing on the cake of this year’s bill, which I’m sure will take everyone’s breath away when we announce the full details.”

Well announce the rest of the bill then, eejit.

  11. I liked the movie and the story but the Indians have to learn - stop throwing in a dance sequence when it is not needed!

The ending dance sequence was uncalled for.

It's a tradition in Bollywood films though.

And you act like it was awful or something. It's not like it was meant to be anything more than what it was; something to amuse the audience as they leave the theater, etc.

Plus Danny Boyle isn't Indian :shifty:

  12. Public Image Limited, if only because I'm convinced they could still make fantastic and challenging music, rather than the holiday camp nostalgia act that the Pistols turned into.

Saying stuff like that will get you beaten up.

I can't think of any reunion I really want. Maybe Black Flag.

I suppose it'll be nice to see the 'classic' Guns N' Roses line-up, but only if its in some dingy LA nightclub and Axl turns up on time.
