  1. Yes, of course. If I wanted to pirate it, I wouldn't need advice on how to do that.

But I mean, where should I go for advice on how to play the game? What mods/options do you recommend and such.

Find a let's Play on YouTube. I suggest season 1 of CaptainSparklez survival series. I'll proved a link in about ten minutes when I'm not posting from my iPod.

Thank you for the suggestion. No need for a link, I'm sure I can find it myself.

  3. A different aspect of the IDP rule is that it needs to be used for attackers. I'm thinking this is a method for MLS to encourage attacking goal-fests (by footie standards, of course) to better appeal to the American audience. They already frown on DP defenders, if I'm not mistaken. Opening up additional DP slots just for attackers makes this even more apparent.

I'm wondering what 'attacker' even means. Who's more of an attacker, a defensive midfielder, or an all-out wingback? Would either qualify, or is it pretty much just for strikers, wingers and 10s?

  4. Also, there is apparently another new type of DP now. This is the type of DP that Toronto claimed they could sign/have signed and MLS publicly was like "hahaha, what? We don't know what they're talking about!" except they totally did and that's how Diego Valeri got signed too. I don't really have a problem with the rule, but the lack of transparency is crazy.

How did TFC .... NOT know about it ? That's how they got Urruti (who they promptly traded to Portland)

I think he was saying that MLS itself had denied the existence of the "impact designated player" slot, not TFC. By the way, I'm confused on the whole IDP issue, does this rule only apply if Montreal signs an attacking DP? :pervert:

  5. He's Canadian. If he's asked nicely he has to. It's like...the law or something.

"Hey, this is Sens country eh, so if it's not too much trouble would you mind taking your Leafs jersey off?"

"Well you can't make me but seein' as you're so polite i'll gladly take this here bad boy right off, eh"

    Then...CUE TROLLFACE~!

This. Plubby totally understands how Canada works. Although we say 'eh' a lot more than that.

  6. Everything Jason said? That.

It's all about the mad profits, yo. As soon as something gets highly profitable, more and more business-people jump on board. We get more bullshit DLC and pay-to-win schemes, and less honest-to-God gaming goodness. Let the gamers, artists and storytellers create the games, not the focus groups. The more business-type people are involved, the more generic, bland, terrible and (offensively) inoffensive games become. There's a reason a lot of the better games (as in high quality, not high-selling) are made by some of the smaller developers these days.

  7. Ottawa's been trying to keep Leafs and Habs fans out of their arena for years. They even went so far as to ask their season ticket holders to not give away/re-sell tickets to Leafs and Habs games. Then they realized that those are the only games that are guaranteed sell-outs, and have the best atmosphere.

Nashville's just shooting themselves in the foot, I think. Never alienate paying customers.
