I'm going to get my tickets to the show in Reno as soon as they're available. Anybody else going?
-
Maybe now Brock will challenge Angle!
-
I'm glad to see Tina Turner made the list. But seriously that thing is crap. Tina is a much better singer than Bob Dylan. I like Dylan a lot, but he should be nowhere near the top 10.
EDIT: I also want to know why Buddy Holly and Jim Morrison are both so low! They were two of the best in their times! Plus, no Paul Stanley? What a joke.
-
I was also thinking about some realistic stats for Jim Powers and Paul Roma now... Any ideas?
-
The DK songs they chose are great! I only play RB2 for the drums. I'll sing if I'm drunk and we're partying at the house, but I can't play the guitars past medium. Drums, though, I can beat most the songs on hard and expert. The thing that gets me though is the bass pedal. I drum in real life so it's annoying when you only hit the bass every so often when it SHOULD be much more.

Does anybody perhaps have newer pics of Jim Powers and Paul Roma?

I didn't notice this thread and accidentally started a thread about the newest Testament album, "Formation of Damnation" which is awesome.
In response to Farmer, Motorhead was the least favorite band of the night. I didn't know anything about Testament before the show, but we all figured they had to be good to be on the bill with the Metal Masters.
They opened and kicked ass, but we were drinking heavily and honestly didn't pay much attention besides realizing they were rad as fuck.
Motorhead played next and the crowd was hot, but it was blah. When they played Ace of Spades, though, the biggets mosh pit I ever joined in my life formed up. It was massive, WAY bigger than Hatebreed's when I saw them at the same place.
Heaven & Hell, seriously, I consider them one of the greatest bands of all time. Their entire set was amazing, good drum solo from Appice and lots of solos from Iommi which was a plus.
Judas Priest really just blew everything out of the water though. Fantastic show, kick ass metal the way it should be. I loved when they played "Painkiller!"
Some more metal bands I dig would have to be Manowar (just because of how cheesy they are) and Children of Bodom.
Super stoked to see a thread just for metal on here!!

I JUST missed it! Damn it! I would have loved to have entered. Ah well, I can't wait to read some of these!

Saw the band at Metal Masters, and liked what I heard, but was way drunk and mostly looking forward to Motorhead, Priest, and Heaven & Hell. I bought this CD yesterday, and it sucked me in. This CD is awesome and I highly reccomend it to any metal heads out there. Anybody else a fan?

"Nostradomus" by Judas Priest

Damnit, is there any other possible way to learn it? Perhaps by one of the people who teach TM's in the town?
-
Wierd question but on Pokemon Fire Red, my Haunter is level 50 and has not yet learned Hypnosis... I caught him at level 28 and he has never had it, yet I have learned Dream Eater. Is there another place or way to learn Hypnosis?
-
One of the guys I work with and me have decided to come out of our Poke retirement and have a battle, bringing our team to level 60 and using new Fire Red & Leaf Green instead of Red & Blue like we used back in grade school...
ANYWAYS
I am completely stuck and don't know how to get past the Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island. Can anybody help me figure out that maze?
Oh and btw, I noticed that the new and improved Fire Red has WAAAAAAAAY more cool things about it than the old ones ever did!
Thanks!

Blood For Gold
The first thing I didn't get really is why Alex Gold, after just coming off a big feud is instantly pretty much burried. Gosling will probably one day be your champ and all, but still. The fact that he lost, then got attacked afterwards was just kinda like, meh.
The Stixx/SOS match was really pretty good. Though, the aftermath of it furthers the Stixx/Stone feud a bit more which was a nice little touch as well.
The first blood match was great, though. In my opinion, your best match yet even if only for the fact that both men remained looking strong, the ending was good for the fact that it showed Cryptkeeper getting screwed to lose and the return of his old partner! I'm looking to maybe see a big survivor type match between everybody involved in the aftermatch soon.
Tainted Predictions
The opening bout will no doubt see Gosling and Platinum go over.
No clue who the mystery man against Justin Richards will be, but I'm predicting he will go over. That, or he'll lose due to Katie's interferance, starting a feud.
SOS over Disco Stuu, but not sure why his last match couldn't have been a title bout. And, not sure why this isn't either. Indies always use belts for the most part. I honestly don't think I've ever been to one and seen a non-title match. But, minor detail.
The next match is tricky, but I think I can see Flash aligning himself with Gosling on-air and then getting involved in his backstage clique to keep his job. So, I sence a shoot screw-job here.
The tension between Stixx & Stone will make them lose to the Circle of Darkness.

Fun update there with the bit of your getting an office with Gosling bitching and moaning. The card looks very solid also man and I applaud you on that note.
Cryptkeeper would be my pick to go over Stone, but I don't think he will. I think he'll be screwed somehow by Stixx which sucks but, it could lead to an interesting feud and I really like Cryptkeeper a lot. Stone gets the win...
PAC & Spud will go over the Hampton Court because they need to still look credible and strong after having just lost in the world title match.
SOS > Stixx only because I still love that ginger goatee he got!
Gosling over Alex Gold... Hands down.

Definately your best show to date man. And from the shows I've seen, it does indeed seem to have a very UK-indy fed feel as most of your shows do, but I just recently watched a UK wrestling show on the net to know what one's like! The opening match was pretty cool to see how Cryptkeeper won quickly and with an awesome entrance and all. Good stuff there that I enjoyed a lot. The highlight was of course the awesome I Quit Match that really was a back and forth thrill ride from start to finish. Glad to see the feud come to an end, because really, neither really seemed to elevate the way I was thinking they would when it first began. Gosling's new debut was pretty funny actually to see Platinum Gold actually saying that Gosling was the best, I did laugh at that a bit. Not sure how I like his name, though, but I'll be holding an interest in him for now. The main event was very good also and I loved the ending. With Spud and PAC being taken out, it really opened things up for what looks to be the start of a Stixx & Stone feud which would be awesome! I'm looking forward to figuring out what exactly Stone has over Stixx! AND then you end the show with Cryptkeeper making a challenge to Stone which was cool and very well done. I liked it. I know it PROBABLY won't happen but I'm pulling for Cryptkeeper to win the gold!
-
My favorite band, yes, but the album cover is just great I think. It's Japanese design is good, and not to mention if you look closely, this is when Gene Simmons invented the now massively popular metal sign. Well, he says he invented it. Dio says he invented it... But, my bias says Gene did!
-
Strong looking card here man... I liked the backstage bits with Flash thinking he's getting burried and PAC wanting more money. It happens!
Stone will go over here. No way will he lose the belt in a multi-man matchup.
SOS TAKES THE BULLDOG TITLE!
I think Flash & Judas will get the win in the tag match to hype the new guy and make Flash happy so he doesn't think he's being burried...
Gold > Richards. No real reason, though. Just because. I'm glad to see this feud ending.
If you job Cryptkeeper and fire him, I'll quit reading...
...Okay no I won't, but Cryptkeeper should get the win here!
-
This was a pretty good show although like Damo said you used the same screw job finish twice which is kind of meh.
The biggest thing I loved about this was the main event. I loved the squash match! It needed to be done! And because it leads up to a big 4 Way between the top four guys, I really think it was nicely done.
Let's see Gosling get in to the main event scene soon and then everything will be grand!
