  1. AAW Update:

Shane Hollister is the new AAW Heavyweigh Champion

Add Heather Patera as Alter Ego for Miss Natural

When I heard she was Ken's daughter a few months back I was very surprised.

Remove Rob Naylor and Steve Keirn from WWE. Add Dusty Rhodes as a booker for NXT.

Are Naylor and Keirn officially gone? I heard rumors, but nothing official. I even heard (and judging from his twitter posts its possible), that Naylor got promoted.

  2. According the the WLW facebook page, Ryan Drago has signed a developmental deal with WWE. I haven't heard any place else announce this yet, but last week he did relinquish the WLW Heavyweight Title, so it seems to make sense. He was the message they posted:

Congratulations to Ryan Drago on his WWE developmental contract.

I don't think it urgent to add this, but just thought I would pass it along. To be honest, I'm not even even sure he is in the game, I haven't played the newest updates in a while. If he is (or isn't) add a friendship with Brandon Traven (who should be renamed Brian Breaker since he was released), they are real good friends and worked together in WLW.

  3. Bill may have a different policy on this but I really don't think we should tick announcer for every single wrestler who has done a one off guest spot on commentary to further a feud, like Kaitlyn/Henry/Bellas have in the last week or so.

I agree, however, I believe all of those mentioned have done it on a few occasions, not very good, but still. I think Kaitlyn could be a decent announcer if she was given the chance, the others I'm not sure.

Since his release, Brandon Traven has changed his twitter name (not his twitter handle) to Brian Breaker. I would imagine that he'll be going by that name again in the indies.

  4. I kinda hate to bring it up, but she was trending last night on twitter. I could see a little bit of a boost based on that. Not that everytime someone is trending they should get a boost, but it does merit something for some of the lower card and managers when they can get people talking. I know she only danced, but for a lot of the audience, I think last night might have been the first time they heard her name, but I could be wrong. I am in no way advocating like a 20 point boost, but 3-4 points could be acceptable.

  5. Pretty sure STAMPEDE Wrestling was kicking around somewhat. You might be hard pressed to find results to build off the rosters though.

Thanks. Yeah I started to look into it a bit and having a bit of trouble. I might add them, but I actually found a decent list of competitors for All-Star Wrestling (or All-Star Championship Wrestling) based out of British Columbia that included among others Ken Anderson. I might add both and just leave STAMPEDE blank just to add a new fed in so that the game won't add some in.

Is this going to be for EWR or TEW? If I missed it, I'm sorry.

I'm not sure if I posted it or not, but this is for EWR. I like the simplicity of it over TEW (I've tried playing TEW 05 a few times, I like it, but too complex).

  6. That sounds good. I think the wages are severely inflated. Ms. Jones was getting paid 80K for an open contract that is absurd. What I was going to do was change the pay scale to 1,000 per each point of overness. Using this model, someone like The Rock who would have an overness of 100 would be paid 100,000 a month which would equate to 1.2 Million a year, which I think is fair. The only problem is figuring out what each persons overness should be.

On a side note, I have added 3 federations so far- Maryland Championship Wrestling, AAA, and CMLL. MCW has 10 people in the game already, CMLL has 3, and AAA has 0. I'm not sure what more I will add to MCW (except adding a couple people who are champions that aren't in the game), but I want to add more to AAA and CMLL. I get distracted easily so when I start something within 15 minutes, I have ventured into something entirely different. I won't be making daily updates, maybe not even weekly, but once I get to a point where I have made enough changes to warrant file to be uploaded, I will. I think my current need if anyone wants to help, is help with CMLL and AAA. I also would like a possible Canadian fed or two. I'll be looking into Border City Wrestling in a bit, does anyone know any big Canadian Feds?

  7. I decided to play this scenario a while back, and in the process found a few things that despite being a fantasy scenario still needed to be changed (like Crowbar was not in WCW at the end of March, just minor things).

Anyways, I decided I wanted to make a few modifications to it and add more federations and wrestlers. In 2001, the indies were starting to slump bad, but still had a few big name feds out there- ECWA, JAPW, NWA Wildside, just to name a few. The other thing is that some good talent was in the indies and I always feel I'd like to have as many options as possible when it comes to who to sign.

What I am proposing is that in this modification I am making, most things are still true to life with the exception that Fusient made a deal to buy WCW instead of Vince McMahon. I still have ECW going out of business since their last actual show took place in January. That's the other beauty is that while some went to WWF, many showed up in a lot of indies beginning in March. I would also make a slight change with WCW as well. I had read that Fusient backed out when a TV deal with AOL/Time Warner couldn't be reached. However, before the shows were cancelled, the plan was still to have a "Season Finale" on March 26th, and return to TV in late April with early May PPV Big Bang (I finally saw a poster of the PPV online yesterday). Anyways in this scenario, I would basically freeze the rosters for the month of April and start the game in May with both Nitro and Thunder still being on air (or back from hiatus so to speak).

So, the reason I am posting this, is that I was wondering if anyone is interested in helping out? I am finding old chat groups to find wrestlers who is not in the game I want to add, but for now, I want some help on relationships that were accurate to that time frame. I have been going through some, and they just aren't right for early 2001 (such as a hate relationship between Jerry Lawler and Stacy Carter). Anyone interested in helping out.

I also want to add some more federations, as of now AAA and CMLL are the two biggest I want to add. In the end I would like to have about 15-20 feds (the original only has 5. Anyone familiar with that time period for those two feds? I am getting most of my stuff online, but would like it to be as accurate as possible. Other feds I want to include at some point is ECWA, MCW, WLW (more for me than anyone else), All-Star Championship Wrestling, and UPW among others. I would like to have a couple at least from each level not including backyard.

So in the end, does anyone want to help? I'm not going to put what I have done yet because basically I haven't done anything to the game itself (except a couple minor changes), but mostly done research. Even if nobody is interested, if anyone could help with ideas for websites to check out, I'd appreciate it. I will use cagematch at some point just not now, as I'm looking more for eyewitness accounts right now from the time period. I found some newsletters from early 2001 and working on that now. I think my toughest task will be providing stats for the wrestlers I add because I usually suck at that, but I can work on that.

  8. I'm not sure about the Funkadactyls though. They have wrestled a few more times lately, So I could see them being used as workers since managers don't have any bearing in a match (unless they interfere as a way of winning or losing). Maybe you could add a stable with The Funkadactyls and Tons of Funk (Man, I hate that name), and making Broadus the leader.

The thing is, workers that are designated as Managers don't have any restrictions on being put in matches. So, Naomi and Cameron could be listed as managers (as they pretty much still are for Brodus and Tensai) without interfering with their ability to wrestle matches, if the player so desires.

In other words, workers that are listed as managers can wrestle whenever the player wants... There's even the in game option of turning a manager into a wrestler, if the player chooses.

    -Bill

I can understand that. I forgot about managers being able to wrestle without restrictions.

  9. I also jotted down some notes while watching RAW tonight and wanted to see what people thought. So, feel free to offer opinions on the following:

Brad Maddox: Should he have an Authority Figure Gimmick and be made a non-wrestler? From what I gather, he's Vickie's assistant, so I am guessing he could make matches... I just don't actually recall if he ever has or not. Non-Wrestler is a bit more tricky, as I know he's wrestled before and, unfortunately, once a worker is made a NW in the game, they can't work matches at all besides PPV's.

Vickie Guerrero: I kept her as a Manager, so that she could wrestle, as she had done so on RAW... But, now that she hasn't in a while, I'm leaning toward putting her back as a Non Wrestler. Perhaps I could set Maddox to "Manager" and have him "manage" Vickie, while giving him the Authority Figure gimmick... He'd still be able to wrestle in that scenario. Also, is it too much of a stretch to tick Diva for Vickie?

Theodore Long: Kinda in a similar boat as Maddox, as Booker's assistant, though he's made matches as of late. Thinking Authority Figure for him as well...

From what I've seen recently of Teddy, he's been doing things behind Booker's back, such as scheduling the Swagger/Ziggler match on RAW... Authority Figure only works for Tweeners and Heels... Should we consider turning Teddy into a tweener?

Brodus Clay: Currently, he's managed by Naomi, who is managed by Cameron, since one worker can't have two managers. Now with Tensai part of their group, perhaps I should set Cameron as Tensai's manager instead...? Also, regarding the Funkadactyls, should we be thinking about changing their gimmick from Dancer to Cheerleader? They seem to have changed their wardrobe and are carrying pompoms now.

The Bella Twins: Their secondary finishers are pretty weak. Unfortunately, they rellay haven't used any "finishers" other than the sitout facebuster. I was thinking of putting "Twin Magic" as a secondary finisher for both, since they have won a fair amout of matches by doing the "Twin Magic" swap. Granted, in EWR, it won't reflect them actually changing places, but to the best of my knowledge, there really isn't a way to actually replicate "Twin Magic," so I figured this would eb the closest we'd be able to get.

Like I said, just kinda contemplating those things... Opinions and suggestions are welcome.

    -Bill

I'm cool with all those suggestions. I wouldn't want to make Brad a non wrestler just because of how Vince randomly makes people wrestle (like he did with Coach), plus Maddox is actually trained to wrestle. I think authority fits Teddy well. The Twin Magic could work I guess if you use the way they win is by interference with the other Bella. With that being said, maybe we should add a stable with Khali, Hornswaggle, and Natayla since they are seen together more lately.

  10. I don't want to be that guy that brings back old topics, but I couldn't find this scenario on EW Warehouse, and the link above doesn't work anymore. I was wondering if anyone has a working link for me. It's been a rough week and I want to try a scenario I never tried before and this sounds like it could be a good one.

  11. Change Steve Doll's age to 31, and birth month to September.

Change Rex King's birth month to August. He turns 35 in the month the game starts. I forgot if their age changes at the beginning so I'm not sure if his age needs to be changed or not.

I will try to help with the regional feds and such too when I get some time. It's looking good so far though. Keep it up.

    EDIT:
Alter-egos for Steve Doll: Steve Dunn, Steven Dunn, Southern Rocker

Alter-egos for Rex King: Mark Smith, Timothy Well

    Add tag-team:

Well Dunn: Steve Doll & Rex King (inactive) (exp: 40)

Lightning Express: Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner (exp: 35)

It's possible both could be under open contracts to WCW, Doll last appeared in June, and King appeared sporadically throughout 1996.

    Another Edit:

Ahmed Johnson should be the I.C. Champ. It should be noted however that he was injured in late July, but I believe on August 1st, he still was champ. Later in the month he had to vacate the title.

  12. This site might be helpful for finishers for you- http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/wrestlinginfo1/wcwfinishers.html here's one for the WWF finishers (and a stable or two, not sure the year on this site though)- http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/wrestlinginfo1/wwffinishers.html

Looking at that, it appears Hardbody Harrison's finisher was the double underhook DDT. I remember him using that move in a match once, but I never remember him winning a match.

  13. I don`t know if this affects the new Update coming out, but Charlie Haas retired last night. Make him a non-Wrestler.

In case this is a work, IIwould not remove him from ROH until next month though

I saw that but am a bit skeptical. For now, I wouldn't change it. Especially since the next update should be out within a week. I say this because I sense its a work for the scheduled match set for next week. If nothing happens, then I agree, make him a non-wrestler and remove him from ROH. I just would rather see more concrete proof then twitter ramblings (even though they sometimes tend to be the most reliable sources, especially from the person its coming from).

  14. Beau James
    Age: 22
    Birth month: July
    Heavyweight
Nickname/Alter Egos: Handsome, Nightmare, Memphis Bodyguard
    Tick booker
    Finisher: Northern Light Suplex

    Tag Team:
Beau James & The War Machine (exp: 2)

Buck Quartermain finisher: Tope Rope Legdrop

Chance Beckett finishers: Chance Encounter, Phat Dance

    Crusher Kline finisher: Devastator

I'm just wondering how many people do you plan to have total in the database? I'm asking because I found a complete list of the PWI 500's since it began and have started to index them. I then plan on seeing who isn't in the database and work from there to work on stats for them. I am going to hold off on that part for now until you next update, but was just curious. Also was you still planning on adding people who wasn't in wrestling yet to the game (like Styles and such)?

Also, glad you added Buck Quartermain to the game, I loved watching the jobbers on WCW each week. I always hoped one week that Buck and George South would pull off the upset.

  15. Here's a few more suggestions, first I'll start with tag teams:

    Terry Gordy & Tommy Dreamer
    Mikey Whipwreck & Sabu

Southern Boys 2: Scott Armstrong & Tracey Smothers (inactive)
The Armstrongs: Scott Armstrong & Steve Armstrong

    Tick trainer for Thrasher
put Jesse James Armstrong in WWF developmental

I found a couple old wrestling books yesterday (an old Wrestling Almanac, and one with a list of Wrestlig Federations), and combined with what I am finding (mainly from cagematch), I hope to have some more suggestions soon. If anyone is good at making stats for wrestlers, I have quite a few people I found needed to be added to the game. Once I exhaust my resources, if nobody hasn't made suggestions, I will try to come up with them as well.

  16. Working on a few things and here's a few suggestions:

Rename Sean Morley to Sean Austin (or Steele)
Change Crush's age to 31 and birthmonth to January
    Tick trainer for Paul Roma
Change Yokozuna's age to 29 (turns 30 in October)

    Additional tag teams:

    Young Stallions:Paul Roma/Jim Powers (Inactive)
    Pretty Wonderful:Roma/Orndorff (Inactive)
    Power & Glory:Roma/Hercules (Inactive)

Here's also a few suggestions for relationships along with explanations:

Sting & Lex Luger- Loyalty (they were almost like brothers even at this time)
Russ Haas & Charlie Haas- Blood Relatives
Eric Bischoff & Sonny Onoo- Friendship (this might be debatable but this was from my understanding when I read Bischoff's book).
Christian & Rhino- Friendship (this was according to a Christian shoot interview that talked about this time period)
Edge & Rhino- Friendship (see above, made sense they were also friends at the time)
Christian & Edge- Loyalty (they met in school and according to both, were joined at the hip ever since).

I also have some more wrestlers to be added, but working on stats for them. Some haven't debuted (one doesn't until 2007) so how do I make stats for him?

    UPDATE:

    tick announcer,booker,trainer for Hector Guerrero
tick trainer, booker for Alex Wright
change Steve McMichael's age to 38 and birth month to November
change Rocco Rock age to 42, and birth month to September
Rocco Rock alter egos: Cheetah Kid/Executioner/Col. DeKlerk
    Johnny Grunge alter egos: Zap/Johnny Rotten/Equalizer Zap/Mike Durham/Troy Durham
Tick trainer for Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge
Prince Iaukea alter egos: Mike Haynor
    Tick trainer for Prince Iaukea
Change Sgt. Craig Pittman's short name to Pittbull and other finisher to Headbutt
    Tick announcer for DDP
Tick trainer for Matt & Jeff Hardy
Shannon Moore alter egos: El Gran Luchadore
change Shane Helms age to 24

    Add Tag Teams:

    Samoans: Yokozuna/Sammy Silk (inactive)
    Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko
Kimota Dragons: Dean Malenko/Rocco Rock (inactive)

  17. Some TNA and OVW

Add Sonjay Dutt to TNA in a open contract

    Add Rockstar Spud to OVW

AJ Styles should be a Tweener

Change Jesse Sorensen's gimmick to staff member, maybe non-wrestler for now?

I think staff member is good for Jesse. Not sure I would make him non-wrestler.

Is Sonjay back full time or did i miss something? *spoiler* I know but not sure its official.

I can understand the logic on AJ being a tweener, but I actually disagree. When he clotheslined Storm last week, unlike the announcers, I thought it was more along the lines of costing him the title shot for a year. I wouldn't change it just yet, we got two more Impacts to see how it plays out.

On another note, Dixie tweeted she "fired" D-Lo, and he replied by saying he got a better deal and might go back to his old profession. So I imagine he might be wrestling soon, so I would possibly add him as a non-wrestler if he isn't in the data. If he is, then sorry.

Also I know I don't like adding relationships to the game not needed, but Miss Tessmacher and Angelina Love have been bickering on twitter. Maybe add a dislike (or don't since I don't really care, but thought I'd throw it out there).

  18. So I've made all the adjustments which were suggested by everyone in this thread. I'm gonna make pic packs for all the big four using, hopefully, late 90's pictures of each wrestler. Maybe banners for the big three, but also nice logos.

I'm not gonna add any more promotions in just yet, because I think perfecting the big three should be the number one objective. I would like to see many more workers in the database, as well as additions of workers who are under 18. I don't care if they haven't started training yet, because I think their addition as a 13 or 14 year old is much more valuable and interesting in games that go a long ways than just saying "well, if they didn't start training yet, maybe they wouldn't have become a wrestler." That's rubbish, because the intent of his data is to provide a consistent basis of real world data. One person suggested deleting AJ Styles because he hadn't started training by this point, but hypothetically I'd like to see him where he is at age 19 in August 1996, and at age 14 in a 1991 edition of this data, and at age 1 in 1977/78 data. What are your opinions on this?

I have one question for jupiterhill. Can you provide me stats for Count Groc and HC Loc?

If you guys want me to add a guy in the game, please make my time much better spent by just providing me every stat for the wrestler, instead of me taking a guess at what the stats should be, and then you telling me to change it later...

I think that's cool about putting in people like styles and even a young Randy Orton (not sure how young you can add them into the game) among others off the top of my head.

As for those stats, I couldn't help you on that. I have never seen either one in competition and would be even tougher to find adequate stats for that time frame. I just noticed at the time I was researching that those two were not included.

Like I said earlier, I lost all my information, but in the next few weeks, I'll start looking over this scenario again and help you with the big three. I am horrible at stats, but if I have suggestions I will try my best. In the current updates, I'm not a fan of all the relationship data, but I will also look into that to make it more real life. Again, this will likely start in mid-April at the earliest since March Madness and the opening weeks of MLB occupy a lot of my time until then. In 1996 I was more of a fan of WCW so I will likely be better at helping on that front, but I did keep up with WWF.

  19. In an update, I lost everything I had on my hard drive (it fell off a table, and I unplugged it foolishly) So all I had is kaput. That said, I don't think I had much to add then what I had posted on here, but I might dive into it at some point when I get bored again. Likely not until next month at the least when college basketball dies down and the first couple weeks of MLB has begun. Not sure if I want to work on one specific fed, but I'll try to give some suggestions as I see fit. I think besides March 2001, that this scenario is one I would like to go to most often when I get tired of current stat games.

  20. WWE: Stupid suggestion, but it seems like Brodus Clay & Tensai are becoming a tag team after that pathetic Dance-Off Competition during RAW Roulette in Las Vegas.

    Bleacher Report: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1506421-wwe-raw-dance-off-should-lead-to-brodus-clay-and-tensai-forming-a-tag-team

And even if it was added, what the hell would the tag team be named? Brodus & Tensai is a little too general. I saw a post from a wrestling writer (for any of you who read his articles, it's John Canton of TJRWrestling.com) complaining about this and people were adding to the fire with potential names: Brosai, The Fat Boys and DinoMight.

Worth a shot? Scrap it? I'm open to interpretation and comments here. Been playing for a couple of years and just now using the forum. #ForumNoobStatus

Have they actually teamed up for a match yet? I know they seem to be friends now, but I haven't seen any matches where they teamed up (I haven't paid close attention this week). Until they do, specifically a televised match, I wouldn't add the team yet. Once they team on TV we can and then might figure out what their name might be. I'm do agree though we need to watch out for the team (unfortunately) as it seems inevitable.

In the same sense, has anyone suggested a tag team of Naomi and Cameron? They teamed up on Main Event on Wednesday. I admit they might already be in the game, I can't tell becuase my hard drive crashed so I lost everything. I might just wait until March to get a new download. Anyways, I'm not sure what you call the tag team, maybe the Funkadactyls?

  21. I checked out their webpage. While I haven't seen any videos, I did search a bit. I have to ask though Fusion, do you know anything more recently? The website is almost 3 years outdated and the first videos of Jimmy Moore I saw pop up are the same. I'm fine with adding people, but I think we need as current of stats as possible. Even their youtube page which says version 2, only has stuff as recent as 9 months ago. My own personal opinion, but if the stats are that outdated, then I'd rather not have them in the game. We have enough wrestlers in the game, so I don't think we need some that aren't current.

  22. It doesn't matter if you believe me or the stats I gave them..and it surely doesn't matter if they've had training or not, the stats I gave them is the appropriate stats they deserve. Don't start an argument, just watch the damn videos of them on YouTube.

While I admit I haven't watched the videos, I think something people are forgetting is that if you feel the stats are too high, then offer you own stats. It does no good just saying they are too high without giving your thoughts on what they should be.

As for someone making an earlier statement that backyarders can't have decent stats, I think that's not true. I think you can have decent stats, just not everyone. I think its like an inverted version of bodybuilders being assigned to FCW and given inflated stats. I bet a lot of backyarders could have better stats then some FCW guys, especially ones with no prior wrestling expierience. Like I stated earlier if someone disputes it then provide stats. In the end I think it comes down to the person suggesting the stats. If you like the guy you might be more inclined to give him better stats then if you hated him or was indifferent. A good example could be Zack Ryder. I don't really think he has improved much since his Major Brothers days (with exception to charisma and overness). Some might say he has improved vastly.
