  1. Oh and I'm sorry, who do you support? Typical glory hunter, I'd imagine? Only people who haven't had a top flight team within like 150 miles (one season for Swindon excluded) for at least 31 years can talk to me about being a glory hunter (Y) Okay, well, I apologise for insinuating you may be a glory hunter, but come out, we aren't THAT bad. We've had a tough time since December, but the season isn't over yet and it isn't inevitable that we will go down (or anything along those lines) because of our shitness.
  2. Oh and I'm sorry, who do you support? Typical glory hunter, I'd imagine? Oh comon West Brom is really really shit. But we're not. Look at our performances throughout the whole season. We went to Everton and won 4-2. We went to Arsenal and won 3-2. We got a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham, we should have beaten Liverpool at Anfield and we nearly beat Blackpool with 9 men on the pitch at Bloomfield Road - not to mention the fact we have had some solid home performances like beating Newcastle 3-1, beating Sunderland, beating Blackpool, beating Fulham and very nearly beating United. Excuse the fact we are on a poor run of form; there are far worse teams in the league, even above us. In this league, you can have 11 class players start each week, but you always need luck to beat teams in this league and we just haven't had that luck against some. We have a very good style of play, great fans, a nice stadium, some very good players and ambition - we can't exactly be pure shit can we?

  4. Its the board, not Di Matteo. They should have invested in January, but no, they didn't, same old story, and Di Matteo must have said something and pissed off Peace.
  5. So he is, it turns out its Atkinson Well he can fuck off, too, the cunt.
  6. Tevez is one of my all time favourite players, but this is just fucking bullshit. Mark Clattenburg can die for all I care, he cost us a penalty against Blackburn, and then fucking hands City two on a plate. The Premier League referees are shit, when we get stonewall penalty appeals (i.e. United with Gary Neville, Caldwell's handball in the week), they are denied, but it takes one of our centre backs to breath and these dirty Citeh cunts go down. Fuck them all, fuck them all the hell.
  7. Villa, actually Maybe the irony that statement will exist in...10 years /troll.
  8. I reckon if we line up with Vela playing just behind Odemwingie, or vice versa in our 4-2-3-1 formation, with Brunt and Thomas on the wings, we'll start creating and banging them in, a problem we've had in our last 8 games as we've scored about 6.
  9. Carlos Vela has signed for Albion on loan. I FUCKING LOVE IT.
  10. Muntari will be a great signing for Sunderland, imo. Great player, just not really Inter standard and not as hard working as he perhaps should be.
  11. Thats another reason for me to hate United. They can be getting run around by small teams then fucking pull 3 goals out their ass in the last 20 minutes.
  12. What really fucks me off about Albion is that we have clearly been lacking something since we played Newcastle in our last win before last weeks win against Blackpool. And might I add we played the toon on the 5th of December. So that means we had a full month to draw up a list of targets, and another month to make our moves whilst perhaps even looking at other players. However, we now have a week to go in this window and we have signed nobody, and we are not going to, either. The problem is Peace has realised he spent more than he ever has last summer, and decided that he's not going to give Di Matteo any more funds because otherwise we are going to go into debt - a difficult task for a lower-half but albeit debt-free and finnancial sound club who can afford to spend. And that is what annoys me, we can afford to spend. But it is as if we are prohibited from doing so. We need a new striker: somebody who can come on and get in and behind the defence in the last 10-15 minutes, because Fortune, Bednar, Cox and whoever else we've got in that position that isn't on loan will probably get a combined goals tally of 3 or 4 by the end of this season, at a push. Somebody on loan is a fine choice until the end of the season when we undoubtedly will receive money as the next 2 months will make or break our season. Peter Odemwingie is not going to score every single match. He will not terrorise defences every game. He is a classy player: pace, two feet, quick minded, lethal finisher, but he is not going to come from Russia and score in the hardest league in the world every week. We need that little bit more experience on the attacking front, that fresh and experienced mind that can come on and see the holes in the defence in the last minute. Only two players in the entire league come to my mind who we have a realistic chance of maybe getting: - Michael Owen. - Kevin Phillips. But they won't come. Phillips actually might; he was a goal machine when we had him and is a hero up the Hawthorns. Owen on the other hand is a very long, longshot. But it seems as though we either don't have the forsight to approach these guys or somebody upstairs won't allow Di Matteo. We need a leader or a skillful, creative wonderkid in midfield: Chris Brunt is a great player, and has just been made captain as Carson has been dropped. But he is far, far from a good leader on the pitch because he is too easy to be kept out of the game with his lack of pace and poor right foot, and when we play him on the right (as we normally do and have done consistently throughout games since November), he loses his main assets. Therefore, he is hardly going to be the guy who will lift the team when you are 2 down with 20 minutes left on the clock or 1 down with 10 minutes left. Morrison is far too inconsistent, and Jerome Thomas is class but has a frustrating nack of trying to reach the by-line before shooting and not squaring it (although half the time there is nobody running into the box to finish it off). Dorrans has just been dropped in place of Scharner now Olsson is back (pushing Scharner out of defence and into his original defensive midfield position) and Mulumbu clearly prefers playing next to Dorrans as Dozza is far more creative then Scharner and can allow Mulumbu to simply run around, tackle people, spray a pass about 10-20 yards to him so he can support the attacking move, where as Scharner prefers to play almost on Mulumbu's back and not let him have any freedom to do what he does best: tackle, then pass, then move. Instead, Mulumbu only cuts people running almost straight at him off and is forced into a more defensive position, with the slow Scharner sitting in the hole between defence and attack to usually pull of a shoddy back pass or spray it out wide when we are too deep to do so. So what can we do? Who can we possibly sign? Well you know what I would do? Cancel the loan of Borja Valero and bring him back to the Albion and switch Morrison out for him, but he would most likely not want to play for us as he is brilliant in La Liga. So I would drop Scharner to the bench and let Dozza continue his good form next to Mulumbu. As for that little creative spark in midfield, I would kill to get somebody like Jack Cork in, who can sit on the bench but come on against the weaker teams to run around and create moves.
  13. Meireles' goal was absolutely insane! I didn't see it earlier, and have just seen it on Match of the Day. Wow. And what makes it better is that its against the shit And Wolves' pitch is fucking horrible >_< Its not even like I'm being biased, it resembles the football pitches near my house - fact, they're probably in better condition
  14. I'm frustrated with Albion for doing fuck all this window apart from annoy Villa over John Carew. If we want him, put a bid in for him, because there has been speculation about us signing him for at least a month now when it comes to the window. Window is here, and we've done squat. If we could somehow change our albeit successful 4-2-3-1 formation to slot Carew up, it would take a lot of the physical pressure off Odemwingie and Carew could become a useful player to have against teams like Blackburn and Stoke, and even Wolves, who are just big nasty bastards at the back. Our chairman claims he loves the club and says that it'll take years for stability, with us being a selling club for the last 5 seasons in order to progress. He's got every manager we have had to 'sell in order to buy', and now we are well clear of any debts (we're something like the 5th richest club in England with no debts at all) and we have at least a few million in funds. All it takes is 2 signings this window, and they don't have to be brilliant and expensive, to build up our squad in two vital positions - central defence and a striker. If we really do need more money, just sell Abdoulaye Meite and Simon Cox (who has been rumoured to be going because he isn't allowed to play right up top, but rather as an Attacking Mid., yet he still gets games) and get in somebody like Sean St. Ledger, maybe even just on loan until we get more money at the end of this season, and then put in 2-3 Million for Carew. Sometimes, in football, you need to take risks, and that is something that has halted us from doing what we've done this season every time we've been in the Premier League until now. We've got a manager who is proving himself to be good in the transfer market, signing Odemwingie, Nicky Shorey, Boaz Myhill and Paul Scharner, who have all been massive players for us this season (Myhill apart but he had a great game in his first league appearance yesterday), so just give him the money. We are finnancial safe; I'm no accountant but by the figures we've released, I can promise we will still be safe from debt if we spent 10 Million.
  15. Massive win for Albion yesterday against Blackpool. Peter Odemwingie is a fucking beast, and if he has turned a corner and is back on form we can be sure that there is a great chance we'll steer ourselves well clear of the drop zone by at least 2 places. Is Spurs/United a half 5 kick off? I've only watched Blues/Villa and then came upstairs.
  16. Great, Luke Moore has fucked off to Swansea. If he was here any longer, I would have glady piggy backed the bastard to Wales free of charge.
  17. Chris Samba is awesome; IMO he could walk right into a team like Spurs/Liverpool/City and rival their current starting centre backs with no trouble. A very, very good defender - he's immense in the air.
  18. Best English TV show, as somebody has already said. Easily topped anything the TV in 2010 had to offer. This, Heroes and the Inbetweeners are fucking awesome.
  19. I can safely say that tonight coupled with that miserable 3-0 defeat to Stoke and 3-1 to Blackburn, was our worst performance of the season. The sooner we actually have a defence, the better. I mean, you know that your team is falling to pieces at the back when they have a combined height of 4 foot and you name 4 wingers/strikers on the bench.
  20. I am really optimistic for our game at Fulham tonight. After nearly taking something from the Man United game with our brilliant performance (though part of it is to do with United not playing like a top 2 Premier League side at all), I have a lot of confidence that we can go and beat them. Our defence has took a really beating though with injuries, looks like Di Matteo's going to play: Zuiverloon, Meite, Scharner, Cech, that would be the sensible position as they are all playing in their natural or best positions. However, Meite is shit, even in his best position, Zuiverloon is inconsistent and Scharner/Cech are going to have to really work their bollocks off to make sure that big dopey twat doesn't cock up (referring to meat-head, of course) and be first to every loose ball otherwise Safe Hands will get hammered by whoever Fulham stick up front We need Odemwingie to hit form again today, too: if he gets through this match he'll get an 11 day break, and will be instantly forgiven if he scores a vital goal, something he has a nack of doing (Sunderland, Arsenal, West Ham. Newcastle etc.) Also, it seems Fulham are in a bad way, and while I've always liked Mark Hughes and Fulham as a team, they are fucked if they don't pull their socks up - I can seriously see them biting the dust this season, in place of West Ham.
  21. Ahh bollocks, does Macheda not realise he'd fair much better in a West Brom side with only one good striking option and a team that gives lots of service to the front man than a side with high-quality players in his position, such as Giampaolo Pazzini? Oh well, there goes his shot a first-team experience - I hope he fares well in a slower league because having been at United for 2 and a half/3 years now, he can't possibly fail when playing at a snails pace in a league where there is a shortage of good teams, but even then, with Pazzini as the attacking starlet, he'll hardly get a sniff at goal anyway.
  22. It depends where he lives in Manchester Baddar; our training ground is like 15 minutes away from our actual ground, so he'd have to travel 70/80 miles every other day. Mind you, with the M1 literally being next to The Hawthorns, it wouldn't be too bad. But money talks (though were hardly gonna offer to pay his full wage seeing as he'd probably be amongst our squads top earners with 20/30k per week) and hopefully he'll realise the oppurtunities to advance his career are more common than abroad in a lower-quality league. Oh, and Macheda's agent sounds a bit of a twat, he's always wanting him to bugger off to Italy for an obscene amount of money for a youngster. I've heard of him wanting to go to Lazio, Parma, Sampadoria and Lecce, next thing you'll know he'll be lining up with Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Ronaldinho at AC - thats if Ronaldinho doesn't make the dream move to Blackburn that the media wants us to believe oh so badly.
  23. ^ Fuck, we've declared interest in Macheda. I'd have him - he could definately fit into the way we play football and kick that piss-poor Fortune off the bench, if we were to get him I would even start him against Wigan and Blackpool this month because Odemwingie is wrecked. I really think plying his trade at a lower-Prem footballing side would work wonders for him, similar to Danny Welbeck at Sunderland. Arca is an Albion and Wolves Target I'd love to get Arca. I really think he is a solid player, works really hard - he's always been one of Borough's better players. Nice feet, too. He would also fit in well with us rather than the stop and start Dingle philosophy who pretty much rely on their wingers to get balls in to Ebanks-Blake. I think we should go in for him as he'll be cheap with his contract coming to an end and Di Matteo doesn't seem to know who he wants at Left Back, and extra defensive midfield cover seeing as Scharner will need to play Centre Back for the next few games with OIsson, Tamas and Ibanez all gone, leaving Dorrans and Mulumbu our only two proven holding midfielders (and even then Dorrans isn't a natural defensive midfielder but rather a deep playmaker who likes to run forward) now that Reid seems to be out for a few games. I'm sure I've seen him play Centre Back for Middlesborough, too, so that will help as Meite is SHIT and you need four decent/good/class centre backs in the Premier League.
  24. It was harsh in all honesty, but it could have been dangerous had he caught more of JT than he did. Comitting himself when Thomas was in a position where he was liable to turn and cut in (something he needs to stop doing if he isn't going to the pull the trigger earlier) and in that position (edge of the area, I believe) was kind of reckless. I agree that it may have been harsh, but it was definately a foul, and to be fair to Foy, who had a god-awful game, he made the right call in awarding a free kick. ...But Thomas sold it like gold
