  1. Well if you don't count the pressure pads, the accelerometers, the chronometers, the anatomically correct ballistics gel torsos, and of course the computer program that the show's entire premise is built around....

The only real questionable thing about that episode IMO was the ballista vs axe comparison. The Gastophetics/Hunnic Bow and the two swords were essentially two versions of the same thing, and even the spear vs lasso were at least kind of similar (both used on horseback to use momentum to help aid the lethality, generally one-use weapons in battle).

  2. TBH it sounds more like you're talking about their earlier stuff, which I agree wasn't exactly the most inspired thrash ever.

But Testament of the 80s/early 90s is not the same sound as The Gathering or Formation of Damnation.

  3. Well, there's Testament's new stuff but apparently I'm the only person who thought it was good...

Hm. Iced Earth, Six Feet Under, Slayer of course (World Painted Blood was a really hit or miss album though...), and a really underrappreciated band called Cage.

But that's really the more mainstream stuff... well except maybe Cage...

  4. To quote Angry Dad, "GRR! THAT'S OPINION, NOT NEWS!"

But as far as I'm concerned, Rock has been artistically dead since 2003 or so when Good Charlotte became around.

At least there's still good metal if you know where to look.

  5. So, if sneaking while carrying admittedly unrealistic amounts of weaponry on your person is broken, what does that make the MGS series?

I'm just saying it's kind of rediculous to complain about it when there's tons of games out there that are just as bad about it.

That being said, I'm on the fence if I do want to do Hardcore mode when I do New Vegas at first or not...

  6. Booker should be ticked for J-Dawg; he's running his own promotion now (SECW).

ICW's Dash Maverick and Skorpio aren't in the save but if you ever add them I'd give J-Dawg dislike of both of them as they seem to be having heat about ICW (Which is booked by Dash and Skorpio) booking in 'his arena' (Source: The man himself)

J-Dawg is still wrestling, so I wouldn't put him in staff. If you wanted to, here's some stats..

    Name: Jeff Brooks

    Position: Owner

    Contract: None

    Preference: None

Talent: 40 (He only started in January but his father is Rusty Brooks and from talking to him he seems to know what he's doing)

    Backstage and Booker ticked

    Wage: $0

  7. Not to mention the Jesse James guys had an unfair advantage. The James Gang experts were world class gunfighters, who looked to be maybe early to mid 30s. The Capone guys were 60 year old historians. Not to mention the horseback vs car test was a complete moot point as those factors didn't even come up in the test.

I also think that the pistol whip vs brass knuckles was an unfair test because the strikes were at two drifferent angles. The pistol whip was a downward strike which of course will be more effective than a sideways strike, as you have more momentum behind it.

I love the mafia guy's retort: "Who the fuck uses a fucking pistol whip? It's a fucking pistol, use it like a pistol". My favorite line besides Yakuza's Zero Kazama's "While you're looking at these I'll break your face with my foot!" and the Attila guys "DECAPITATIOOOOOOOOOOOON!" (Brutal Legend for the win; also, Zero Kazama is an AWESOME wrestler name...)

The fight scene was fucking rediculous. The James Gang guys grabbed all their shit from fucking -mueseum exhibits-. I find it hard to believe the exhibit had a rifle that was -loaded- on display. Preserved to being usable is one thing, but for fucks sake, why was the rifle loaded? At least they had to actually put bullets in the revolvers... not to mention Capone looked fucking incompetant in that beatdown, wasn't three shots with the knuckles supposed to be enough to kill? He did like, at least five clean shots and didn't get a kill.

If anything, the ballista showed the difference between Alexander the Great's weapons and Attila's. Alexander the Great's weapons were killers, but were much more flashy than practical in mass combat. Attila's weapons weren't fancy but got the job done, and could kill more rapidly and precisely than Alexander's.

  8. See, that's what I originally thought. So why don't they say "Get exclusive bonus fighters" instead of "Unlocking"? Because "Unlocking" implies that they're already in the game....

  9. So, according to the GameStop commercials, you 'unlock' the TUF10 finalists with a pre-order.

Does this mean you could normally get them in-game? Or are they special DLC like initially thought?

  10. I still wonder if Angel Rose is supposed to be the Angel Rose that works the Miami circuit or not. Anyone know if might be someone else? Age and wages fit for her, and her gimmick to an extent, but the stats and finishers are all wrong.

This would be Angel Rose: http://www.myspace.com/darkenangel26

Probably one I added myself and based stats, etc off of workers she had faced. I tend to add workers in groups, so she could have been grouped in with the workers around her. As always, feel free to suggest changes.

Yeah, I'd give her speed 60, brawl 30, tech 35, charisma 60 over 10 (She always gets a big reaction, one of the most popular people in ICW, but I don't consider ICW a big promotion by any means so 10 works). Finishers: Code Red (Impact), Swanton Bomb (Top Rope). Underdog works because she's usually up against bigger performers (Calypso is ICW's other female regular, and she's probably 260+), and against male competitors too. Wage is fine, because I don't think ICW even pays their workers.

Tick Fonz Factor, High Spots and Diva too.
