ALEXIS!!
What a strike!
-
Great block by Richardson.
-
Good stop that.

Sad to see Rio retire but let's face it, he's got more important things to deal with at the moment than trying to find a new club.
A masterful centre-half at times. One of the very best for a few seasons.

Fucking hate Villa.
Not that fond of Wenger/Arsenal/Piers Morgan either but my hatred for Villa overrides it. Come on Arsenal!
-
Right result. Could be interesting down the bottom next season.
-
I hope Norwich go up. Fuck Boro!
-
Boro been better over the entire season but this game is way too close to call.
Erm, Norwich finished above them. Doesn't that kinda mean they've been better over the season?

Whether you like how it went down or not, Nico Rosberg won the race. Was he lucky today? Yes, and he readily admitted so on the podium. Should Hamilton have won the race today? Again, yes, but these things happen in Formula 1 sometimes, it is what it is. At the end of the day Rosberg was the winner & he clawed back 10 points on his teammate & rival, so why the hell shouldn't he celebrate? It's not like he caused the accident that brought out the Safety Car, nor was it he who made the call to bring in Hamilton for another pitstop.
Hamilton might be a massively talented racing driver, but he needs to handle losing much better. His behaviour on the podium today was that of a petulant child who'd just had his favourite toy taken away from him. He knows he isn't going to win every single time, he should be a professional on the occasions that it doesn't quite work out for him
Hamilton did the podium interviews, shook everyone's hand and vowed to come back for the next one. I fail to see what he's done wrong. His team has cost him a dominant victory but he hasn't publicly blamed them.
Lewis has had the reputation of being a spoilt brat. Sometimes rightly so, but today isn't one of them.

De Gea's done alright for himself.
-
Surely not West Ham?
EDIT: Damn it Colly!
-
Fabregas booted the ball at Brunt. That's why he was sent off.
Costa was booked for being Costa while Fletcher was booked for shoving Fabregas in the chest. All came out of nowhere though.
-
Hell of a save. Right up there with De Gea's against Everton and Palace.
-
Swansea have done the league double over both Arsenal & Manchester United.
-
Another bloody deflection.
-
Ronaldo celebrating on his own.
What a classy bloke.
Ronaldo first started celebrating on his own during his breakout season with United in about 2007. This isn't new.
-
Turan.

Perplexed as to why Young and Shaw were replaced by Di Maria and Blackett. Our left side was looking dangerous until about 75 minutes.

I wouldn't have thought Lewis could see how close Vettel was to Rosberg.
Of course, Nico could have closed up and tried to overtake.
-
Hamilton did nothing wrong. Rosberg was never in real trouble, Vettel was always 1.5s behind. If he was on Nico's gearbox, I might be a tad more sympathetic. However all Nico then had to do was back off during the corners and get good exits onto the straights because Vettel's top speed wasn't high enough to pass.
-
So, Hamilton wins ahead of Rosberg, Vettel and Raikkonen.
Nico is fuming about Lewis 'backing him up'.

Rockabilly. Which for some reason is my phones autocorrect of tickaboo. Silly Courtois though.
I give up.
He was standing on the edge of his area with the opposition in possession on the halfway line. You can't possibly say that's not a goalkeeping error. :/
With Chelsea playing a high line, that's where he should be standing. He's got a great starting position for any ball over the top of the back four or into the channel.
It's a great goal. I don't blame Courtois, I feel sorry for him.
