I just remembered another game that I loved that has recieved horrible reviews. The game I'm referring to is Pit Fighter, an old arcade game converted to Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo.
The reviews I've seen for it have been "Worst fighting game ever" "This game sucks" "Graphics and Controls suck ass". But honestly, this is my favorite fighting game ever, I fucking loved the concept of brawling in underground parking lots and bars. The control scheme was also easy, A punches, B kicks, C jumps. A and B together picks the guy up and you can carry him around a throw him. B and C together was an effective drop kick, and all three buttons did your characters special move.
And honestly, the graphics were solid for their era. They were obviously going for a more realistic look, which isn't exactly the easiest thing to pull off on a Sega Genesis system, but the game still looked fairly decent. The added crowd that could be attacked on certain occasions was an extra treat.
Maybe some people are just bitter because they sucked at this very challenging game.

Aurora Flow Blue Left...or something like that

Kou - Where'd you get that skin?
Edit: NM, you told me. Thanks.

I'm hoping Reading finds a way to avoid relegation in their first season. Plus, I'd like Wigan to continue to build on the positive progress they made last season.

This may very well be the craziest/dumbest thing I've ever claimed in my sports history, but I'll go on a limb to make it interesting.
The Braves will either win the NL East, or be no more than five games back at season's end.
After watching this team at the beginning of the season and how they are playing now, it feels like two completely different teams. The Jones boys are starting to come around (Chipper's 14-game extra-base hit streak is startling for a guy his age and power, while Andruw is starting to fire on all cylinders again.) With Pedro on the DL (albeit temporarily) and the Mets' second-half tendencies, I honestly think the Braves can catch them as long as they play solid baseball and not make the stupid mistakes that put them in this hole earlier on.
So, there, I'll say it. The Braves finish no worse than five games back of the divisional winner (provided they do not win the division.)

I was appointed manager of the USA national team, but none of my QPR staff will accept my offers to join me on the USA staff. Why? I've got a bunch of good Italian coaches with great ratings, and maybe they can help these guys do something that doesn't involve losing.

Can't say that I didn't see this coming, but it'll be a bit unusual watching some Serie A soccer and not seeing Juventus. Oh well, they got what they deserved if they were going to cheat. Same with Lazio and Fiorentina. They got what they deserved.

Where was the aggression? Where the hell was it?
All the aggression you had was taken out on Andrea Pirlo last week

I don't rate Ghana's chances against Brazil with them missing Essien. Also it was nice to see that Ghana is just like every other African nation, with players who go down and roll around for about five minutes after a light breeze makes contact with them.
Oh, come off it. If the US had a 2-1 lead we'd be doing the same thing. It's called stalling out the clock.
Unbelievable. Why was Twellman not on the squad? Why was Johnson never a starter? Why did we play a 4-5-1? And can we borrow a Dutch coach for next time -- they seem to know what they're doing.

I got the game a few days ago. Any suggestions as to what tactic to use, and who to buy with around $11,000,000 to give Wigan a chance at a safe mid-table finish?

Ecuador upends Poland 2-0 on goals by Augustin Delgado and Carlos Tenorio. Great win for the minnow South American side

Oh, I see. My apologies
Is it just me, or did Costa Rica give Germany more trouble than we all expected?

The word "tie" should never be used in football. Ever.
Why not? Ties (or draws) are part of the game. They happen. As fans, we can hope they don't happen, but we can't prevent'em. :ohwell:

That was a good first game, looking forward to game #2. I think Ecuador could be a tougher out for Poland than we think. Something tells me Poland will only get a tie out of this

Frings with a great goal to pretty much seal the deal for the Germans!

I love the classic heavyweights...this crop of heavyweights is just abysmal.
As for the lower divisions, I'd like to see Ricky Hatton fight in the US. I've heard a lot about him and he sounds like a very exciting fighter. I'd absolutely mark for Hatton v. Gatti or something to that extent

Very sad. Kirby was indeed one of my favorite sluggers of the 90's. I thought he'd pull through too, but I guess god has bigger plans.
RIP Kirby Puckett

San Diego signs Mike Piazza to a 1 year contract, and I believe it comes with an option for next season at $8,000,000.
Remind me to order tickets for the Padres - Mets series on August 8th - 10th, as I want to see my idol at Shea one last time (Piazza)

Great game last night between the Oilers and the Rangers. Good to see the Rangers get a win on Mark Messier Night. That ceremony had me in tears. I can't think of any other team captain who played the role as well as Messier. Definitely one of the top 10 players of all time.

College Soccer? Couldn't care less. Saw the US part of the draw on ESPNews, and I'm not happy about it

Great, we get stuck with Italy and Czech Republic. Despite the steps the US made in 2002, I forsee major difficulties coming out of that group with a round of 16 spot.
What I want: Italy/USA
What will probably happen: Italy/Czech Republic
What will DEFINITELY happen: Magoo will end up disappointed when the USA gets eliminated.

According to ESPN, the Mets acquire RP Roberto Hernandez and SP Oliver Perez from the Pirates for OF Xavier Nady.
This trade made because Duaner Sanchez got hurt in an automobile accident, and is out indefinitely.
