  1. Rumours are that Harry wants rid of Pav too. No huge loss but he DOES do a job and has decent skills.

Also, Spurs have joined the race for Tevez apparantly. Can't see that one happening though.

Be silly to sell Pav, poor bloke didn't have an off-season at all. He could come on really well next year.

And plus he is awesome

  2. Arsenal have 19 wins and 1 loss after 20 games in the league so far, scoring 46 and conceding just 11. Meanwhile, I'm in third with just 35 points.

Course, I'm the team that beat them (2-1 at the Lane) (H)

But they're on track to get over 100 points, which'd be a first for the Premier League in the 9 years I've already played (highest before was Arsenal again with 95).

  3. Yeah, if I was Man Utd I would just let Tevez go and let the young boys play more. I don't get why Man City haven't made a move yet for Tevez, would be a good buy.

Rumours are that they have and he may end up there, so he doesn't have to move his family.

Other likely one is Liverpool to be with his fellow Argentine again.

  4. So Ledley King has been arrested. Fackin stay off the booze, lads.

    Footballer King 'held on assault'

England footballer Ledley King has been arrested outside a nightclub in central London on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, the BBC understands.

The Tottenham Hotspur captain had played in the club's Premier League game against Everton on Saturday.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of ABH following an allegation of assault by a man in his 20s."

He said the man was arrested in Soho Street at about 0230 BST.

The spokesman said: "The 28-year-old man remains in custody. Charing Cross CID are investigating.

"The man was arrested after a routine patrol was flagged down."

Mr King has 19 international caps and was in the England squad for the 2004 European Championship. He has appeared more than 250 times for Tottenham and played the whole 90 minutes of the team's 0-0 draw with Everton on Saturday.

  5. Oldskool, got an idea. Want to create a list of who's playing, their footballer's name, what team they play for and a link to their profile in the opening post? So we can keep track of each other, see who's in the same team and the like, turn this into a bit of a competition.

    Board name: Zaz

    Player name: Rex Hyman

Team name: Glendale - WYO III.1

    Link: Here

Just get everyone to do something like this, for instance.

  6. How much I paid for each member of my team and how long they've been there:

    Alfred Scholze (13.5m, 2 years) Falcao (20m, 6 years)

    Matias Fernandez (15m, 7 years)

Stewart Downing (18.5m, 8 years) Matt Kidd (275k, 8 years)

    Gojko Kacar (15.25m, 7 years)

Gareth Bale (5m, 10 years) Jose Manuel Villena (6.5m, 2 years) Jack Rodwell (9m, 7 years) Dean Cole (6m, 3 years)

    Rene Adler (30m, 1 year)

Bench: Gomes (7.25m, 9 years), Phil Jagielka (-4.3m, 9 years), Tom Huddlestone (2.5m, 12 years), David Bentley (15m, 9 years), Danny Rose (1m, 10 years), Francisco Lopez (2.7m, 5 years), Artem Milevskyi (24m, 7 years)

So overall, that's 187.175m spent on my first 18 (at an average of 10.4m a player) who have provided 122 years of service (average of 6.8 years per player).

    Yeah, I'm bored >_>

You got 4.3m when you bought Jagielka? :w00t:

I gave them Michael Dawson, they gave me Jagielka and 4.3m (H)

He then went on to be my captain for years and years whilst Everton and Dawson just got relegated :P

  8. So I played Arsenal twice in a row, first in the league with my first team at home, lost 3-4. Then again three days later in the FA Cup 6th Round replay where I've been using a second string team due to having a lot of Champions League games right around my FA Cup games. Was at the Emirates and I won 4-3. Crazy.

My second string team then went to beat WBA in the semi, so I'll use them again in the final as I'm a lot more confident using them over my first team >_>

Will be my third FA Cup final in a row, first two against Everton I think where I lost each by a goal, this time against Liverpool.

  9. Elsewhere!:

    - Sami Hyypia is assistant manager at Chelsea after being a youth coach both there and previously Man City.

    - van Bronckhorst, Daniel Jensen and Yossi Benayoun are youth coaches at Chelsea

    - Brett Emerton is a youth coach at Everton

    - Michael Ballack is a youth coach at Liverpool

    - Gary Speed is a coach at Charlton, with previous gigs at Man Utd and Plymouth (both as youth coaches)

    - Gary Neville is Crystal Palace manager

    - Phil Neville is Bury assistant manager

    - Tony Hibbert is a youth coach at Oldham

    - Frederick Ljungberg is QPR manager

    - Dominic Matteo and Jason Koumas are coaches at Stoke

    - Nicky Butt is a youth coach at Watford

Find the Liverpool/Chelsea staff switches pretty funny there.

And just had my first draw in the PL season so far (only other was 0-0 away to Roma in the Champions League) after 25 games. 2-2 away to Portsmouth after being up 2-0 :@

And only because in the last few minutes the ball went up into the air in my box and my 190cm keeper Rene Adler trying to catch it was outjumped by a 35 year old 171cm tall Jermain Defoe trying to header it :@

  10. I fired one of my fitness coaches who I signed just 6 months ago to replace him with Didier Zokora (H)

So far I've got Zokora, Edman and King (plus Tim Sherwood still) as ex-players in my coaching ranks. I also tried to bring in Woodgate but he's not interested as he's the manager of Maidstone <_<

Edit: And I just signed Teemu Tainio to be my set pieces coach (H)

And Ricardo Rocha as a general youth coach as he has 19 for mental and working with youngsters, so he'll hopefully get them mentally prepared. Tried to get Lee Young-Pyo as well but he's Seoul manager at the moment.

  11. From the last two team screen shots I've seen, it seems people enjoy wasting away English talent :(

I don't think either teams starting 11 and bench had one English player in them. With Spurs, I have 3 definite English starters (not as much as I'd like either, but in some games that can be 5-6 easy) and my bench would have four. If I were to do a best 11 and then a 2nd 11, exactly half would be English.

Do y'all like to have at least a few homegrown talent in the team? Or is your squad more-or-less all foreign?

  12. I find the fun game is always the one I'm not doing. If I'm a lower league team I want to manage a top team and bring through the youth, if I'm doing that I want to be managing in the Slovenian 2nd division, and if I'm doing that I want to be in South America, doing that I want to be making India/China's leagues better, and if I do that I want to be a lower league team. Swings and roundabouts, ey?

Teams don't get much more black or white than us. No middle ground here I'm afraid, win or lose. None of this 'drawing' shit.

3 wins at home, 1 loss at hom

    4 losses away

    It's uncanny.

I'm 11 wins and 7 losses after 18 games in the league with Spurs at the moment. Lost a couple right at the end which should've been draws <_<

Also, anyone else had a board decide a match would be a fan day so as to attract new fans? Leeds (yeah, they're back in the Premiership, first year back was 11/12 before they got relegated back to the Championship for the 14/15 season. They got promoted straight away and are now 5th in the league in 16/17) decided to make my match against them a fan day, Bale ended up conceding an own goal in the last minute to give them the win :@
