The Chiefs are doing a great 2020 Ravens impression.
-
As a Ravens fan, last night's game was really depressing. Beyond the bad play, Lamar didn't handle himself very well; he practically threw a tantrum and pouted. I'm not really invested in any of the teams left, so I'm casually cheer for the Packers or Chiefs. Wouldn't mind the Texans, either.

Brady is expected to re-sign with the Patriots, and honestly I don't think anyone really should have expected otherwise. The whole "He can go for a challenge and sign with the Chargers!" argument was so flawed. He's 43. He's not looking for a challenge. He's looking for another Super Bowl championship to ride out on.
I agree. Despite the reports of tension etc, I'd be absolutely shocked if he played elsewhere.
Really getting back into football, so I'm planning on watching 3/4 of the games this weekend. (Might miss the Chiefs game.) As a Ravens fan, I like our chances tonight but Derrick Henry will be tough to stop. I'll be rooting for the winner of Vikings/49ers, though I'd be happy if GB made it to the Super Bowl.

BBC's new Dracula series was great, really enjoyed it.
I'm most of the way through episode 2 and I'm liking it a lot. It's very well done.

I'd somewhat lost interest in football but I went to the Ravens game yesterday with a friend and it rekindled my interest. Really excited for the playoffs.

I dunno. Porcello relies heavily on good pitch framing and strong infield defense, neither of which the Mets have.
Fair point. I just like the NJ/NY connection.
Yankees are keeping Brett Gardner on a one year deal(https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/28283486/source-yankees-retain-outfielder-brett-gardner-1-year-deal), which makes me very happy. He's one of my favorite players.

When the Mets signed Michael Wacha to a 1-year deal yesterday, BVW identified him as "starter depth" which was odd as everyone assumed he was being signed to be the #5 starter. Now today those comments make more sense as they've signed Rick Porcello to a 1-year, $10 million deal.
Wacha will presumably be going to the bullpen and be the swing guy who will jump into the rotation when someone gets hurt. Either that or we're about to hear yet another round of Syndergaard trade rumors.
I like the Porcello signing. Low risk, high reward and I always like seeing NJ natives sign with NY teams.

In what other ways should they bolster the team? They’re legit an ace pitcher away from winning the whole thing and they just went out and got him. There’s not a single weak spot on this team.
I guess I just tend to be a little pessimistic about contracts like this. Everything may seem great now but injuries, slumps, performance declines, etc can always derail even the most stacked teams.
-
I'm a huge Yankees fan and I'm not as excited as I thought I would be about the Cole signing. Big contracts like that scare me because there's always the risk they don't pan out. Plus, they somewhat inhibit the ability to bolster the team in other ways.

I'm really excited for COIE, I think it'll be a blast.
I'm still 2 eps behind but this season of the Flash has been the best since season 2 IMO.

This show is trippy and it looks like next episode will be even more so. This past week's was my favorite so far.

Why?
It's a chance to go in a new direction rather than immediately try to do the Justice League again. There are connections; I think Adam was an important part of Geoff Johns' JSA run.
-
-Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam movie will introduce the JSA: https://www.cbr.com/black-adam-movie-justice-society-america-dwayne-johnson/
-Just watched the latest episode of Titans and I still don't know what to make of this show. Most episodes are "meh" but then you get a fairly good one, like this week's.
-
Huge bummer. That's not great for the MCU's future IMO.

The Boys is fucking amazing.
Just started watching it today and I like it a lot.
Edit: About to start episode 8. This show is awesome.

The new Batman: Hush animated movie is pretty good.

I don't think I could be more excited for the COIE crossover, especially with the addition of Conroy @Lint.

Finished the latest season of Supergirl last night.
Really enjoyed it, more than the previous season comparatively. I'm disappointed they killed off Luthor but the Monitor tease at the end makes me think he'll be back?
-
Brilliant scene in the most recent season finale of Supergirl:
Frank Sinatra's "My Way" plays in the background while Lex Luthor attacks invaders. He starts singing along, louder and louder, and by the end he's practically screaming the lyrics.

Was looking for a horror movie so I gave The Clovehitch Killer on Hulu a shot. Wasn't a horror movie; it was a psychological thriller but it was well done and I enjoyed it.

The actor in your spoiler does a fine job with it, IMO. Really well done.
Supergirl is also my number two, but that's because I don't think I enjoy anything on TV as much as LoT. The Flash is definitely the shittiest, and I have never managed to get into Arrow. I'm hoping Batwoman is good, really looking forward to it!
LoT is a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to catching up. I'm definitely excited for Batman, too.
@Gabriel Titans is solid and I'll that it surpassed my expectations. I'm looking forward to season 2, based on what they've announced so far and how S1 turned out.

Randomly started catching up on Supergirl this morning. I'm on the latest season and just got to a pretty major episode.
Wasn't sure how I'd feel about Jon Cryer as Luthor. Just got to the first episode and I think I like it.
Supergirl is firmly my second-favorite Arrowverse show now. Flash is still my #1.

Loved the first one so I'm excited.
Just watched "The Man Who Shot Hitler Then The Bigfoot." Trying to figure out what I just watched.

Posted this in the wrestling section but figured I'd expand on it here. I'm planning on starting a blog where I'll be covering comic books and wrestling (mainly WWE.) Any ideas for what I should name the blog? I'd be reviewing comic books and also giving my thoughts on RAW, SmackDown and WWE's PPVs.

I've never seen a game as crazy as tat Texans/Chiefs matchup. Titans/Chiefs will be fun.
