Just a bit of info. On Baddiel and Skinners show earlier tonight they had a English referee on, who said the referee was to poorly postitioned to make a judgement and should of gone with the decision of the assisstant, which was a goal. He also said, that in his opinion he saw nothing wrong with the goal. So, just a little thing that makes Matzats "German referee says it wasn't a goal" argument worthless. I know we've dropped the thing but I just thought it'd be a nice bit of information for anyone who didn't see the show.

Well, Greece had a game plan at the start of the game, they stuck to it the whole match, and it won them the game. Great performance by the Greecks, France just couldn't break them down.

Yeah, I hate the rule too. Luckily though this is the only tournament we have to put up with it for, as FIFA are going back to the golden goal in time for the next World Cup. Anyway, this game has been very tactical, and the first half should prove interesting, because I'm sure France don't want extra time but they have lacked ideas this game, and they really need to come up with something special. Best of luck to Greece for the second half.

Well, it hasn't been an exiting game, but the defending by Greece has been simply suberb. If Greece can just get a quick goal it isn't beyond them to defend the whole match and hold on to it. Them scoring is unlikely though, but extra time is still a possibility is Greece continue to play as they are doing.

Halfway through the first half and there's been very little to seperate the two sides. Greece have looked very confident and capable, but I can't help but feel that France will score ecentually from a moment of magic.
