I've been saying for a long time that Portugal play better with Ronaldo in the team, and these two games where he has scored one and set up one having played about an hour altogether just confirm that.

Eh. After seeing the replay a few times I do think he handled it, but I don't think he should of been sent off, as there is no way the referee could of possibly been 100% sure. The referee just put himself in a difficult situation by giving the free kick so quickly, and after he'd blown for the free kick he had no choice but to give the red card.

When I made my 2-1 prediction it was under the assumption that Russia would at least try to attack, but that hasn't happened. Now that they are down to 10 men after that absolutely stupid mistake from the keeper them scoring seems very unlikely. EDIT: I don't think that was bad refereeing. From the ref's view it would of looked very much like he touched it, and the ref doesn't have replays to help him. If he did touch the ball, which the referee obviously thought he did, then he had to go.

I predicted 2-1 to Portugal for this match, and I'm going to stick to my prediction, though I do think Russia's goal will be very messy.

If Greece hold out for five minutes and get the draw I definately think they can beat the Russians and advance from the group, which really make the Spain Vs Portugal game a very appealing one to watch.

I have to say that Ruud's goal was fantastic, great finish.

Victor rules. He's the only one who's been voting tactically. Unfortunately I think his days are numbered when the girls come out of the bedsit.

Denmark played better in the first half, and it was pretty even in the second. Some fantastic saves though.

David James had no way of saving that from the position he was in. Also, I think England did play well, but a few people just made stupid errors (Gerrard, Heskey and Beckham). One chance is all France need to score. We gave them two late on and they took advantage, in my opinion they deserved to win. I just hope we can get the results against Croatia and Switzerland.

Woah, I really wasn't expecting them to show Shell's full frontal.

Sven should of brought on Butt instead of Heskey in my opinion. Heskey isn't bad, but common sense would tell you not to bring on more strikers when your trying to defend a lead against the best team in the world. Zidane's freekick was unstoppable, as was the penalty, James can't be blamed for either. The people who can be blamed, are Heskey and Gerrard, and I intend on doing that, along with Beckham for a piss poor penalty.

0-0 it stayed. Well that couldn't of been better for us, but that game was boring as hell to watch.

Spain deserved the win, they were the better team throughout the match. I was hoping Russia could put up a better fight, but it was a good start for the Spanish.

Half time and 0-0. I've been impressed with Russia, they've defended like dogs and had a few good chances.

Yeah, but just because Greece got the upset doesn't mean Russia will. Spain have got to be heavy favourites for me at least. Russia do have a chance, but I think Spain should win it.

I have to admit, I am impressed by Greece, can't wait to see how they do against Spain. Speaking of Spain, they should definately beat Russia later, at least I hope so. I'm predicting Spain to do better than most expect this year.

Well, what an upset. Other than conceding the penalty, I think Ronaldo was the best man on the pitch in the second half.
