I'd go for Rooney and Stead. Rooney needs no explanation, and Stead is going to be fuckin' awesome. I can't wait to see him in the England squad.

C'mon Tim!
As I type its 4-4 in the second set, with Henman 1-0 up and Coria to serve at 15-30.
C'mon Tim!

On the Leeds front, we are interested in Paul Butler, Julian Joachim, Paul Gerrard, Steve Simonson, Dion Dublin and Danny Tiatto. We will be getting Barry Hayles too, if Dom Matteo completes the switch to Fulham although he said he wants to live in the North
Your welcome to them. Infact, I will pay for their petrol money across the Penines, just take them both of our hands. Now. Please.
And Everton are interested in Dom Matteo.
Everton and Manchester City lead the chase for ex-Red defender Dominic Matteo, currently plying his trade with newly-relegated Leeds United. Fulham wanted him in part-exchange for striker Barry Hayles but Matteo apparently wants to stay up north, leaving the Blues of Merseyside and Light Blues of Manchester to duke it for the player who is valued at £750,000. -
I dunno man, they've got Paul Robinson now - he's pretty decent. I'd say they should try for some of the Chelsea rejects - like Gronkjear (sp?) - they need a left winger ASAP.
Forgot about Robinson. But still, take Carr out, who have you got? From what I saw of the young lad who replaced him last year (Kelly?), he just isn't good enough, at least not yet. Same goes for King and Gardner, because Docherty is poor. When Everton run rings around you, you know your poor.
If you think without injuries .Robinson

What are the chances?

It's a good move, but they still need major work, like a goalkeeper, at least one defender, and at least one midfielder.
-
After Euro 2004, yes.
The trouble with youth today. Most people in football over the age 22 remember Spurs as one of the top European sides and grew up supporting them. It should be a good season this year.Exactly. Remember, as in they're not anymore, which is why everyone is suprised they can get someone like Santini.
-
This is a good move for Spurs. He's respected throughout Europe, and as such can attract some good players. Plus he should have a good grasp of the promising French players, so expect more Pires' than Diouf's.
Santini's the one03 June 2004
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jacques Santini as Head Coach. Santini, currently in charge of the French national team, will join the Club after the European Championships in Portugal.
From the Spurs site.

Yorke's probably off to Qatar for a nice payday. And, no disrespect to Villa, but could they afford him, especially just to sit on the bench?
And anyway, Everton have the market on over-paid has beens cornered!

Blackburn Rovers have signed Paul Dickov from Leicester City
Fucking Paul Dickov, kick start his career and lies to all the fans before buggering off. Little bastard.
I'm guessing your a Leicester fan, and so I have to ask...How did Leicester kick start his career? He was playing in the Premiership for Man City and Arsenal before he went to Leicester, wasn't he?
Norwich have completed the signing of Scottish international goalkeeper Paul Gallagher.Gallagher was out of contract at Dundee United and has penned a two-year deal with the Canaries, promoted to the Barclays Premiership next season.
The 24-year-old is manager Nigel Worthington's first signing of the summer and will act as understudy to highly-rated Robert Green, who was called up to the England squad for the friendly against Sweden in March.
BENITEZ AND TRIO TO REDSExciting times are ahead for Liverpool with La Liga's Championship-winning boss Rafa Benitez set to be named as the Reds' new boss. But to get the hearts really pulsing, The Sun have reported that the former Valencia manager wants three of his players to join him at Anfield, namely Pablo Aimar, Roberto Ayala and Santiago Canizares.
Valencia have apparently already signed a replacement for Canizares, while the 31-year-old Ayala is keen to follow Benitez to the Premiership for a new challenge. But with Aimar still contracted for four years in Spain, he might just be out of Liverpool's reach.
NOW FERREIRA
Porto's Paulo Ferreira is the latest player to suggest that he would like to follow Jose Mourinho to Chelsea. He said: "I would be delighted to be able to work with Mourinho once again. Who would not want to work with Jose?" But according to various reports, the Blues have already had a bid for the £10m-rated 25-year-old right-back rejected.
VAN BUYTEN TO ROVERS?
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness will land Manchester City's on-loan Marseille defender Daniel van Buyten if he can come up with his £4m asking price. Kevin Keegan is desperate to hold on to the Belgian, but he has been told that City don't have any money to spend.
MIDO TO NEWCASTLE?
Marseille striker Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam has expressed interest in signing for Newcastle. The Egyptian, who has been out of favour at his French club, is desperate to get his career back on track. The 21-year-old is set for talks with Bobby Robson, although he will also consider offers from any of the big European leagues.
AND THE REST
West Brom will sign released Manchester City midfielder Danny Tiatto...Portsmouth are chasing Leicester defender Ben Thatcher...Tugay will leave Blackburn to return on a free transfer to Galatasaray...Birmingham are refusing to sell Robbie Savage...Coventry striker Julian Joachim will complete his move to Leeds...And Spurs are now looking to France coach Jacques Santini as their new manager.
That would be a great move by Spurs. And his contract with France expires mid Euro 2004, so he could sign a pre-contract with Spurs now.
-
Theres more chance of Duncan Ferguson not getting sent off next season than Martin O'Neil being the next Spurs manager.
I'll go for...
Ranieri. No, Queiroz. No, Taylor...
Ah fuck it, I haven't got a clue either.
-
The Man Utd. one looks...wrong...and I can't put my finger on why.
The Arsenal one is sweet.
-
...quoted as saying in the Daily Star...
That sentence alone should shoot the whole Benitez to Liverpool rumour down in a pile of burning wreckage, but I do think he will be the next Liverpool manager, but Liverpool still need work before they come close to Arsenal. And before anyone calls me a bitter blue nose, I have many Kopite friends who agree.
-
I wouldn't ay the 5-1 was a fluke. England were far and away the better team on the day. Germany have some good young players, such as Kuranyi (sp?), and always seem to get lucky, especially comapred to England. Just look at the last World Cup - England had one of, if not the hardest groups, while Germany had a guaranteed 3 points head start from Saudi Arabia.
-
I can't see any big name players going to Spurs until they have a manger sorted out.
BORO WANT KLUIVERTMiddlesbrough will compete with Newcastle for the signature of Patrick Kluivert, say the Daily Mirror and The Sun, with the Dutch striker set to leave Barcelona along with Marc Overmars, Phillip Cocu and Michael Reiziger and Rustu Recber in a major summer clear-out. The Magpies have long admired Kluivert, and he would be available for just £1m.
DAVIDS TO BOLTON?
Barcelona's on-loan Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids is attracting interest from Bolton and Tottenham, say various newspapers. The influential Dutchman is having second thoughts about making his move to Barca permanent and could instead decide to play in the Premiership.
DICKOV IN DEMAND
Leicester will sell striker Paul Dickov, with five clubs chasing the 31-year-old Scot. Everton, Birmingham, Blackburn, Portsmouth and West Brom have all shown an interest after he was priced at around £100,000.
WOULD YOU SIGN DENILSON?
Brazilian striker Denilson is keen on a move to the Premiership. The Real Betis star said: "I don't want to put pressure on the president and right now I have many years left on my contract. But I admit that it would be interesting to play for another team - hopefully in England."
EARNSHAW TO CHARLTON
Charlton manager Alan Curbishley has admitted that he is looking at Cardiff City's 23-year-old Welsh striker Robert Earnshaw. He said: "I've been to see Earnshaw a couple of times. The better Division One players will want to take the step up soon and he's one of them," said Curbishley."
ON HIS WAY OUT
Tottenham's 21-year-old Portuguese striker Helder Postiga will leave the club if he doesn't get regular-first team football next season. He is quoted on the BBC as saying: "If things continue as they are I can't stay at Spurs because my objective is to play regularly."
AND THE REST
Middlesbrough will test the waters for Wolves striker Henri Camara...Liverpool and Newcastle United have both made enquiries about Blackburn Rovers right-back Lucas Neill...And Celtic are close to signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Yildiray Basturk.
Can't see Liverpool signing Neil, although it would prevent anymore broken legs.
-
BIG SAM WANTS CAMARA
Sam Allardyce will make a £3m bid for Wolves striker Henri Camara, say The Sun. The Senegalese international put in a transfer request last week having claimed that he wasn't a First Division player, but it was quickly denied by Wanderers boss Dave Jones. Chief Jez Moxey said: "I think everyone should calm down. There's not been an offer for Henri and we're not interested in accepting one."
Wolves were quick to offer Romanian striker Vio Ganea a two-year deal as interest came in from Charlton, Norwich and West Brom.
DAVIDS WANTS DOUBLE
Chelsea are more than likely the mystery English club who have made a 'big offer' for Barcelona's on-loan Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids. Barca were hoping to secure the services of Davids after an influential few months in Catalonia, but the Dutchman has now reportedly turned down an offer of £1.4m in favour of more dosh.
Chelsea will also make a sensational bid for Blues legend Gianfranco Zola. The Sun reckons that Roman Abramovich is so hard up that he will offer the 38-year-old Zola a one-year contract worth £50,000 a week.
BORO WANT WILTORD
According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal's French forward Sylvain Wiltord will join Middlesbrough on a free transfer. Past rumours have linked Wiltord with Bundesliga champions Werder Bremen, although it now appears that he could stay at Arsenal another season.
AND THE REST
Aston Villa defender Mark Delaney could be shipped to either Middlesbrough or Newcastle for £2m...Blackburn are keen on Leicester striker Paul Dickov...Norwich City are close to signing Birmingham defender Darren Purse for £500,000...And Birmingham City striker Stern John says he would not have a problem joining Rangers.
Oh, and Rooney isn't going anywhere, and nor is he crap.

INTER CONFIRM VERON INTEREST
Saturday 22nd May 2004
Internazionale chief Massimo Moratti has dropped the clearest hint that the club are keen on bringing unsettled Chelsea midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron back to Serie A.
Veron has expressed his desire to quit Chelsea after a nightmare year at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine midfielder has seen his season blighted by a series of injuries and whenever he has played he has not produced his best.
The former Lazio and Parma schemer is happy that Inter want to sign him and he is keen to return to Italy after a mixed time in England with Manchester United and Chelsea.
Inter have also been linked with Edgar Davids, but Moratti has given a strong indication that Veron is their top target.
"I think our directors are looking around for the best players and we have been linked to Edgar Davids and Veron," said Moratti.
"But seeing as we can't bring both in and we have already approached one of them, it looks like the rumours about the other star are unfounded."
Moratti also admitted that Inter coach Alberto Zaccheroni will not have much money available and ruled out a move for Roma's Emerson.
"I really think it would be difficult to sign the Roma midfielder, as we have made it perfectly clear to Zaccheroni that the financial situation is a little tricky."
I think the "one they have already approached" is Davids, to be honest, and not Veron. Davids' contract is up in the summer, leaving more money for Zac to spend elsewhere.

How that guy can say Inzaghi I dont know. You couldn't have hardly watched him play if you think that. I rarely see people going on and on about him either, all I hear is people on about Beckham, Ronaldo etc etc.
For me its Wayne Rooney. He scored one decent goal agains't Arsenal then apprently he was the best player in English football. For me he rarely does anything for Everton and England. Someone needs to replace this guy and find someone for Owen upfront for England.
It's all about opinions. Whenever i've seen him (and, I admit, I haven't seen all of his games this year), I've never been impressed.
And, to borrow one of your phrases, if you think Wayne Rooney has done nothing for Everton this season, you couldn't have hardly watched him, outside of The Premiership's 30 second highlights. I'm not saying he's the best in the world, and he may be over-rated by some, but it's clear that one day, he will be one of the top players around. Give him time, because, as long as he doesn't get a serious injury, he will be around for a good 20 years. Oh, and no, he shouldn't be playing for England yet, Defoe, Smith or Beattie would be a better choice.
But like I said, it's all about opinions.
-
Course not, I'm from Liverpool. Kidda.
And David Moyes has confirmed that he wants Joe Cole on loan, because the Everton board are to tight arsed to shell out for him permanantly. Okay, I added that last bit.
-
Decent teams there. Was it Middlesborough's Juninho, or one of the other ones?
-
About fuckin' time. Finally Perez has realised that Madrid are not goin to out score every team they play. I'd like to see Samuel partnered with Helguera, but Pavon will likely keep his place with Helguera in the midfield. They're still missing Makalele.
-
What are the teams?
I know it's France v Brazil, but specifically?
-
if ur gonna say most overrated player in the world, the add in some names people in america may notice....... but ill put other & say Kobe Bryant.....
Were talking Football, not Basketball. But Kobe could probably get into the Everton team right now.
-
They sound more like that than Scousers do.
I have a Brummie Uncle, and am a Scouser myself, and that sounded more like a Brummie than a Scouser to me.
-
If he goes to Liverpool how will he understand Gerrard?
"Owight lads, come on lits git 'em"
Yeah, Scouse is a language of its own.
It's better than Geordie.
And you do know that Gerrard is Scouse, not Brummie or Cockney, don't you?
Which England player do you hate and why?

I've gone for The Nevilles, but it's not so much Phil, but Gary. Everything he says in the press makes me think he's a dick even more, and he's not even a good player. Has anyone ever read The Gary Neville Diary's on Football365.com? Classic!
