  1. For horizontal lines, go to Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds. Set the width low and mess around with the opacity until you have it the way you want. The only way I know of to do the diagonal lines is to do it pixel by pixel. I did it a while ago and have got a psp file saved of it, catch me on MSN if you'd like it.
  2. Yeah I never heard anything about Arsenal wanting Davids. It's a good move though, we need a couple of experienced players at the moment because our average squad age is just 23.
  3. Yeah I agree, I think if it were a brighter colour, maybe even white, it would stand out better (as long as it has a dark stroke or shadow). The rest of it I'm liking, but maybe the bottom right is a little bare.
  4. There is a border. I would have expected mainly a green graphic for X-Files, and maybe a darker one. I like what you've done with the text, though. 5/10
  5. Backlash Graphic: Pretty good. The top text could maybe be moved down a little, and I think the RAW logo should be more prominent, so maybe add a drop shadow. WWE Graphic: I'm not too keen on the effect Batista has on him. The background isn't too bad, nor is the text. I would move the WWE logo across maybe, because there's a big gap between it and Cena, yet a small gap between it and Batista. You could use the same sized cuts to sort this out, though. 1) Do you have anti-alias checked when you do your text? Any thin texts should look fine if it is. 2) If you mean to make it stand out more, try duplicating the layer and then setting the above layer's blending option to Overlay or Hard Light (I find these two work best). 3) If you mean blending a straight edge - select the edge of the picture you want to blend, go to Selections > Modify Selection > Feather. Choose a setting (depending on how big the picture is and how much you want to blend) and then keep hitting Delete until it looks the way you want it. If you mean blending a picture into the background - try different layer properties and opacities on the picture.
  6. It's not too bad, but it could be improved. The bottom right corner is empty, needs something there. I don't like the mix of colours in the background. The colourised cut does not go well with the background, it should be more of a blue than purple IMO. I'd leave it with it's original colours, actually. The 'Captain America' text needs some work, it's very bland at the moment. Even just a drop shadow might make it look a bit better. So, yeah it needs some more work. I'd rate it a 3-4/10 as it is now.
  7. I didn't do a lot background-wise but I feel it's come out very postcardy. My postcard: Sources:
  8. I think Keane/Kanoute and Defoe/Mido are the best partnerships. I think they're the ones Jol prefers.
  9. Wow, that's pretty good for a first graphic. The text could be moved up a little bit more, so there's an even space from the left and top, instead of more at the top than the left. Other than that, I really like it.
  10. Top 3 All Time 1) Creed 2) Coldplay 3) Marilyn Manson Top 3 At The Moment 1) Alter Bridge 2) Coldplay 3) Monster Magnet
  11. Part of it's transparent in Firefox, being a .png, that counts right? Bah, I wanted to get it out of the way.
  12. The first half was a brilliant display by Spurs. First goal, okay that was unlucky for Lyon with the deflection, but the other two goals by Keane were outstanding. Peace Cup Champions '05
  13. Wow, nice collection there Doc. (Y)
  14. Because she's hawt. ...and she has nothing else to do.
  15. On the right side there should be a 'Materials' area. The two blocks of colour on the right side show which colours you have selected. To change your text colour, highlight the text in the text box and then click the bottom block of colour and change it to the colour you want. Anti-Alias makes the text smooth on the outside, I'd make sure the box is ticked every time you do text, it gives a nicer look. Stroke is the stroke on the text, for example if you have white text and a black line around it, the black line is called a stroke. The stroke colour will be whatever colour is selected in the top block of colour in the Materials area I mentioned earlier. You can change the anti-alias and stroke settings by selecting different things from the drop-down menus near the top of the PSP8 window. It should give you an option to change font, text size, anti-alias, stroke etc. Remember, you need the text in the text box highlighted for any of these changes to take effect.
  16. If you're talking about the top left of the cut, then that's how her hair was styled for the picture. The graphic's ok, I like the clean, smooth look to it and I also like the faded white at the bottom. It does seem quite bare at the bottom with just the logo and the WWE text. I'm not so sure on the positioning of JBL's face, maybe you could move it over to the right a bit. Overall, it's ok, but nothing dazzling.
  17. Well? Morecello, Tyler? Ooh, it should be a slobberknocker
  18. Has nobody been following the Peace Cup? I know it's just a friendly tournament, but I've been enjoying it. First we drew 2-2 with Boca Juniors, then beat Sundowns 3-1 and today we drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad. Thus, we are into the final on Sunday against Lyon. I've been impressed by our keepers, Fulop and Cerny. Routledge and Tianio have also played very well. No real negatives from the tournament so far, except for Michael Dawson's broken nose.
  19. Bloodhound Gang did it, I don't know if it was the original though. Song's called Fire Water Burn.
  20. Thank yeh I didn't think I'd win with that. Good contest, though. AJ, will you try and squeeze in a July contest or are you just going to wait until August?
  21. Ah, Tom's humour strikes again
