  1. I'm certain they'll take consoles without boxes, Game have a supply of their own blank console boxes they sell preowned Machines in - you might get less for them though. Hamster might wander in and be able to confirm that.

I'd guess you'll be pretty safe buying preowned games too, since Game and Gamestation just won't take games if they look like a dog's chewed them.

  2. So I was adding a bunch of folk today from the list on the first page and I noticed a lot of you have gamertags that "don't exist." Please check and make sure your gamertag is spelled right and has spaces in the appropriate places. And as always, if you're not on the list and you are on XBL, please let me know so I can add you.

    EDIT

And is anyone on here known as DrippyDiver? You sprung up on my friends list, but I have no idea who you are.

  3. Sounds like the old problem the PS has had since its first incarnation: Larger size memory cards "saving" data and then not being able to recover it. Used to happen a lot on those PS1 cards that used "Pages" of memory blocks. Can you see the save data if you browse the card from the PS2 menu?

  4. Alrighty, since I'm picking up my subscription card tomorrow I've just run through my game boxes and turned up 5 48hr trial cards.

    SO!

The first 5* people to reply will be PM'd one of the codes.

(*If I don't recognize you from being around the board you ain't getting)

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand GO!

  5. No, I think its graphics are tremendous. The problem is that I don't care for these amazing graphics (and the lack of a HDTV means I cannot fully experience the cinematic cut-scenes as they are intended anyway). I'd rather play something like Hexic, but then that's just my personal preference when it comes to games.

Resident Evil on the Playstation was just as infuriating, because that forced you to sit through cut scene after cut scene. I much prefer a game like Crackdown, where you can do as you choose. GOW has a predetermined path, and IMO is too much of a story/film and not enough of a game.

Online is much better, you are right (although I suck at it lol)

As for Viva Pinata, I didn't get it in the end. £45 ($89)? I think not. HMV have it advertised online at £30, but is priced at £45 in store. What the fuck?
