Anyone who has quit WoW, or is looking for an MMORPG at all, I suggest trying City of Heroes\City of Villains. Get the Good vs. Evil edition which includes both games. You get to play both City of Heroes and City of Villains for one price (and its the same price people were paying to play CoH before CoV was even announced), and you don't have to pay for expansions!
(CoH\CoV has had 8 expansions (called `Issues', in keeping with the comics theme) with #9 coming out sometime in probably the next couple of months, and they're free. They download as patches.)
CoH\CoV does have several PvP zones where you fight the other side (heroes fighting villains, in other words) and PvP arenas where heroes can fight heroes and villains can fight villains.
My av and sig are from CoH.

hello, I don't play warcraft anymore. Shit is expensive.

Also, once you eliminate a gang, does that gang just disappear from the game, or do you still gte random meatheads from that gang trying to kill you for ever?
-
Okay I have my own tag now, Foxhound 1986 so feel free to add me. I play a lot of Call of Duty 3 and Crackdown at the moment.

Has anyone else had trouble setting up a System link game? I tried it at the weekend, but it just refused to acknowledge the other system trying to connect.
-
Well you could send it in the console box but thats not what its coming back in so you would lose your original box that way. They advise you to pack it in something plain that doesn't indicate the value of whats inside but its UPS who handle them so it should be safe either way.
-
Just bubble wrap and brown paper it, unless you have some suitable cardboard box to pack it in. (Y)

Well I had my machine picked up and on its way to be repaired, next day I went to play Double Agent on the other 360 aaaaaaaaaaand in the box there was nothing. One scramble round the living room later I realised what I must have done with it. Phoned up Microsoft who got someone at the Repair center on the line who said they'd opened it up and had the disc stored with my machine.
But it does say in the instructions for sending your machine away not to send any discs with it, which allows them to get away with it if it doesn't come back. Faceplates aren't mentioned in the instructions but my flatmate lost his Gears of War one to the repair center.
-
Your 360 will be getting couriered away to the delightful people at the Microsoft Xbox Repair Centre. Mine's been twice and my flatmate's 3 times.
Here's what to watch for:
No hard drive or cables to go with it.
If you have discs in the drive, get them out. There's no guarantee of getting them back if you forget. I nearly lost Double Agent like that.
Faceplates. Take them off and put the white one on, as if they have trouble fixing your machine they'll send a new one back and typically they'll not bother with the faceplate.
You need to pack the machine up yourself for UPS, then attach the label they send you (it is possible to get the labels Emailed to you, but it sounds like your Customer service person was crap). You can track it to Microsoft via UPS' website if you keep a note of the Package number.
Then you wait 2-4 weeks to get it back. Sadly they won't be any more specific than that, even if you phone and hassle them. It'll come back in a custom fitted box tho, which is handy if you ever need to send it away again.

And today my citizens are revealed to be the dumbest in EWB.

Yeah Gears should only need 1MB or so to save, plus your profile. Some games have much bigger saves though.
-
That was all kinds of awesome.

As much as I like Nightwish, a lot of their lyrics sound like something totally different.
Wishmaster for example:

Inside the tower at Sentinal Hill there is some kind of quartermaster there. I think he sells weapons. Personaly though I suggest you run threw DM/VC asap and that'll take care of your weapon needs. I've gone threw 2 DM runs on my 19 rouge and right now I'm not wearing anything that isn't at least green accept for my thrown weapon which I'll be fixing shortly thanks with my main character whose a Blacksmith.
I'm realy liking being level 43 with my Paladin, but only 12 slots for spells really is not enough for spells on a PVP server. In fact, even having a seperate bar just for PVP is realy not enough. So to make a long story short I need to grab a mod to let me have more slots. Any suggestions?

There's a Bowyer who does repairs, he stands by the bunch of wagons at Sentinel Hill.

With 12 gigs free on my laptop I probably wouldn't be able to successfully install WoW & BC, would I?
-
Pallys are boring. Go with the priest, cos if you're shadow-specced for playing solo you will be a complete killing machine.
-
Is it easier for all characters to make money in Burning Crusade or just the high level people?

The XP and drops and gold? Awesome. Only reason to go there. Ever.

Actual size, not resolution. I figure if I can see text well on a 13" TV monitor, I shouldn't have any problems reading text on a 14.1" laptop screen.

Its level 20 IIRC

SM is an absolute joke of an instance (barring Cath), my level 40 warrior could run GY, Armory and Lib solo. I daren't think of what a better PvE class could do there.
-
Yeah, my level 39 hunter friend ran SM not long ago. I think next time I'm on I'm gonna see if he doesn't mind going with me to SM.
-
Ah, thought so. Still looks cool though.
EDIT: How are Priests? Was thinking of starting one..
And what does AQ mean? "AQ40"...?

The trailer's up on Xbox Live Marketplace now, looks pretty damn impressive. Although if that's the main character I hope there's some customization options for appearances etc.
