Bernie Marsden has passed away

Marsden was the original guitarist of Whitesnake and appeared on every album from Trouble (1978) to Saints & Sinners (1982). He co-wrote the classic Here I Go Again with David Coverdale. The song would go on to become a worlwide hit in 1987 when the band re-recorded it for their multi-platinum self-titled album.

I think Whitesnake were at their best during the formative years, which would have been when Marsden was still in the band. I prefer the original Here I Go Again to the two re-recorded versions, and it's a shame that it's so rarely played nowadays.
