A stranger dispenses a dose of darkness from his ice cream cart in The Mars Volta's new video, "The Widow." A selection from the treatment reads like a childhood nightmare:

"The man puts his hand in the cart and begins to pull out a black pudding like mush, which he begins to distribute amongst the children. He puts it in their hands, some of their faces and in their mouths, and they are hysterical over it, like a drug. Some of their eyes begin to cry black tears."
