Trish Stratus © .v. Christy Hemme .v. Stacy Keibler .v. Torrie Wilson [Women's Title]

After Trish beat Christy at Wrestlemania to return her title, Christy recruited the help of Stacy Keibler and new RAW diva, Torrie Wilson. Together, the three have tried to take down Trish, being on an obvious team. Since right after Wrestlemania, Trish has liked to think that she has held her own, meaning she shows a little bit of cockiness in the ring tonight.

As the match starts, the three divas launch a handicap attack on the Women's title. Trish soon gets fed up with this attack and hops out of the ring, retreating up the ramp. Torrie and Christy look at each other and start a "friendly" lockup. Christy bounces of the ropes and Torrie takes her down with a clothesline. Torrie goes for the cover when Stacy Keibler breaks up the pinfall, instantly asking Torrie for her reasoning upon trying to get the win so quick. In the most PREDICTABLE move ever, Torrie slaps Stacy and a catfight ensues.

Soon after the three former friends are tired from fighting, Trish returns down to the ring, attacking Christy to the mat. As Stacy and Torrie fight near the ring ropes, Trish takes the oppourtunity, taking them both of the top rope!

Trish laughs at Stacy and Torrie out on the outside. Christy is just beginning to stand up and walks straight into the Chick Kick! Trish covers Christy and gets the pinfall to win the match!

Following the match, Trish grabs her Women's title and laughs her way up the ramp. Stacy and Torrie come back into the ring to console Christy. The three embrace and then pose for the crowd as Trish leaves.

Kurt Angle is in the back putting on his wrestling gear for his Wrestlemania rematch against Shawn Michaels. He is by himself in the locker room until Shawn Michaels enters the room as the crowd goes NUTS!

Kurt Angle: Look, it's back enough that I've been forced to do this match, you can at least leave me alone until then.

Shawn Michaels: You know what Kurt? I'm NOT going to leave you alone. You've made it quite known around the locker room of your victory over me at Wrestlemania and TONIGHT is MY payback!

Kurt Angle: I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist, do you think I'm scared?

Shawn Michaels: Admit it Kurt, your shaking in your boots. Why don't you shut your mouth and lets make our match a STREET FIGHT?

Kurt Angle: Your on! Street fight it is.

Chris Benoit .v. Randy Orton

Randy Orton took a few weeks break from RAW after suffering a devastating loss to The Undertake at Wrestlemania. Upon returning to RAW, Orton went immediately to Eric Bischoff and asked for Bischoff to pick him an opponent for this Backlash PPV so that he could once again become the "Legend Killer". After a week of speculation, Bischoff named Chris Benoit as his opponent in this match.

Benoit looks calm and collected, unharmed over his opponent in Randy Orton. Orton maybe looks a little shaken up from Wrestlemania still, but shows no sign of injury. All doubt of injury is removed when Orton takes the advantage in the match, taking down Benoit with a few clotheslines and ramming his head into the ring post.

Benoit manages to fight back, eventually setting Orton up for the Headbutt from the top rope. Benoit jumps but Randy Orton moves and then quickly scurries to his feet.

Orton taunts Benoit as he gets up before attacking him and finishing him with the RKO. Orton gets the cover and picks up the victory!

William Regal and Tajiri © .v. The Master Plan [Tag Titles]

Chris Masters made a great impact on RAW following Wrestlemania by proving himself to be one of the most "perfect" people in the world. As the new team tore up the RAW locker room by picking up some crucial wins, including one over La Resistance which injured Rob Conway on the way, The Master Plan find themselves in the oppoutunity of a lifetime.

Before the match the referee checks William Regal so that he doesn't have any brass knuckles for this match. The crowd pops Regal when the referee pulls out a pair from his knee brace and removes it. Chris Masters laughs at Regal while Rhyno eyes up Tajiri.

The tag champions try to maintain their composure in this match, but the challengers prove to be no match as they pick up the huge win after a GORE by Rhyno on Tajiri, followed by Regal tapping out to the Masterlock.

Kurt Angle .v. Shawn Michaels [street Fight]

Following the match between these two at Wrestlemania, where Kurt Angle won the match, plus some bragging rights, Angle was traded to RAW. After bringing his "Kurt Angle Invitational" to RAW, Shawn Michaels made his triumphant return after nursing injuries following Wrestlemania. Shawn returned by immediately going after Kurt, challenging him to a rematch. After meeting up earlier on in the PPV, the two decided that this match would be a Street Fight, meaning all rules were void and gone.

The crowd is going haywire for the beginning of the match with definite Shawn Michaels cheers and boos aimed towards Kurt Angle. As Shawn Michaels is in the ring for this match, Kurt Angle's music hits. After a little waiting, Kurt appears behind Shawn, similar to what Shawn pulled on Kurt last week on RAW. After a blatant attack in the back of the head, the Street Fight begins.

The match stays in the ring for a little bit, playing off both men's strong points. This ring work allows Michaels to hit his trademark Elbow drop and Kurt Angle to hit his german suplex from the top rope. After this, the two make their way outside of the ring, fighting down the sides of the ramp and into the backstage area.

The fight between the two takes them through locker rooms, offices, equipment rooms, and finally the parking lot. Kurt Angle, fighting for breathe hits a HUGE Angle Slam onto a parked car! Michaels flips off the car and the two fall to the ground. When the two get to their feet, it is Shawn Michaels who gets the advantage, nearly putting Angle's head through the windshield of another nearby truck!

Michaels sizes up Angle for the Sweet Chin Music on the parking lot. Angle gets up and Michaels goes for the move, but Angle ducks! Shawn Michaels has no time as Angle ends up behind him, hitting the Angle Slam on the parking lot concrete! Kurt Angle flops on top of Shawn Michaels, pinning him and winning the match for the second time in two PPV's!!

Shelton Benjamin © .v. Christian .v. Chris Jericho

After Christian blatantly attacked Shelton on the RAW following Wrestlemania, the battle was setup for this Interncontinental title match. The next week on RAW, Chris Jericho invited Christian onto his show to talk about his feud with Shelton. Fed up with Christian continuing verbal attacks on him, Jericho attacked Christian, putting himself into this match at Backlash and making it a triple threat. For the past few weeks, Shelton Benjamin has played quiet while Christian and Jericho have torn into each other but all hell broke loose this past week on RAW where the three were brawling as RAW went off the air.

Before the match, it was announced that the ringout for this match would be off, meaning the ring surroundings were fair game.

Shelton Benjamin gets the advantage in the beginning of the match, showing off his skills by taking out Christian and Jericho in a double team attack and then wearing down Jericho with a few kicks and drops. Christian evens up the match with a sneak attack, trying to get a quick pinfall on the champion, without luck.

When Benjamin is finally out of the picture, Jericho and Christian begin trash-talking, pushing each other around. Jericho goes for the clothesline, but Christian ducks it, nailing a low blow on Jericho! Christian goes for a facebuster and nails it! Christian takes a few seconds too long to make the pin as Shelton Benjamin gets back into the ring, breaking up the pinfall. Benjamin goes for the Superkick on Christian, but misses and Christian nails him with the Unprettier!

With Benjamin out on the outside, Jericho is back up to his feet and he fights with Christian. Eventually the fight heads outside of the ring when Jericho and Christian play around the announcers table. Jericho sets Christian up for a Powerbomb through the announcer's table but Christian reverses it, hitting Jericho with the UNPRETTIER through the announce table!!!

Christian gets back into the ring to attack Benjamin, but he is picked up, and nailed with the T-Bone Suplex!! Shelton Benjamin gets the pinfall and retains his Intercontinental Championship!!

Batista © .v. Triple H [World Heavyweight Championship]

Following an epic battle at Wrestlemania between these two former stable mates, the rematch is set here at Wrestlemania with "The Animal" Batista fighting on his own side against "The Game" Triple H and Ric Flair in his corner. These two have been all over each other, trying to get one up on each other all month. Triple H has found himself in a little losing streak as of late after losing matches to both Chris Benoit and Shelton Benjamin. Can Triple H break his small losing streak and find himself at the top of the company again?

Batista gets a huge entrance for the PPV, taking his time coming down to the ring and posing in the corner of the rings for the fans. Triple H spends his time during this on the outside talking things over with Ric Flair and pacing himself for his title rematch.

The crowd pops for Batista as he tears into Triple H, taking him down to start the match and then watching as HHH regroups on the outside of the ring. The crowd loves every second of HHH hating them. As Batista looks a little more solid in this match, he takes more advantage of HHH, throwing him against the ring ropes and choking him with the ropes.

Later on in the match, Triple H is slowly starting to wear down. HHH is right by the ring ropes and Batista takes himself and HHH over the ropes with a clothesline, much to the crowds delight. Batista tears into HHH on the ring barrier, but HHH ends up reversing the attacks, lifting Batista up and smacking his face on the barrier. Triple H throws Batista at the corner of the ring and the crowd gasps as Batista's elbow hits the metal.

Triple H throws Batista back into the ring and picks out a sledgehammer from underneath the ring. As HHH gets into the ring with his weapon, the referee pleads with him not to use it. Triple H shoves him aside and is about to hit Batista with it when Batista punches him in the gut and DDT's Triple H! Batista tosses the sledgehammer outside of the ring.

As Triple H gets to his feet, Batista doesn't expect the kick to the gut and Predigree setup! Triple H is about to hit the move when Batista flips him around, directly in the position of the Batista Bomb! The crowd pops as Batista lifts Triple H in the air and slams him down in the middle of the ring!!

Ric Flair is shocked on the outside as Batista makes the cover and picks up the victory to retain his title!! Batista music hits across the arena and the champion retains successfully, cementing himself as a true hero!

WWE End Of The Month Notes (***Spoilers***)

- The WWE is impressed with the work by all three members in the Intercontinental match and think that all three are deserving of the Match of the Night.

- WWE is starting to have a little more confidence in Batista as a champion as Triple H was said to be suffering from a small leg injury and Batista had to carry part of the match because of it.

- Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle are said to be both bruised up after their Street Fight. There was concern backstage with management who were worried that Michaels wouldn't do good in the match because of his age and that Angle would have problems due to his neck. Both received an applause from the management after the match.

- Expect a few OVW developement wrestlers to get the call up in the near future.

- WWE is looking to spark life back into it's tag division. Even though La Resistance's Rob Conway is injured, they have Regal and Tajiri, The Master Plan, MNM (Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro) to be called up, and The Heart Throbs (Antonio and Romeo) to be called up as well so look for some real competition in the tag division.

- The house show schedule coming up for the WWE in the next month looks like this: Batista .v. Randy Orton, Triple H .v. Edge, The Master Plan .v. La Resistance (???), Shelton Benjamin .v. Christian, and Kurt Angle .v. Chris Jericho. These schedules can be changed at any moment and added to at the last second but it may give some sort of idea at what is to come.
