Photoshop is Fucked Up :(

I reformatted a while back, and finally got around to reinstalling Photoshop, but now I have problems. I've never had the problem before. When I go to select colors to use, or open images, the colors are fucked up. I don't have this problem, however, in ImageReady. Here's a screenshot of the color picker.

Hmm. Maybe I'm having monitor problems. Ah.

EDIT - I'll go into more detail. For me, at least, the colors are all... desaturated and stuff. Not as bright as normal. However, I'm not having this problem in ImageReady, so that leads me to believe it ISN'T my monitor.

Try checking the Only Web Colors box, and see if that works. If not, then I dunno.

I agree with you, it does seem really dull. My colors are much brighter! Strange!

sounds like the color profiles are messed up do this :

go to edit : Color Settings

if using photoshop 7 check to see if the follow is listed some pcs might used different color profiles but I usually stick to adobe's default color settings

if that doesn't work ,

go into your photoshop directory and find the file preferences .psp I think and move it to a safe place(your desktop)

now start up photoshop as soon as it begins loading hold shift+ctrl+alt you'll be asked if you want to clear your preference file choose yes. if that doesn't work then you cna put the prefs file you backed up back into the photoshop folder
