Monday Night Raw - March 18th 2002

Linda McMahon is at Titan Towers. She talks about a massive decision that the Board of Directors made during the past week, and she says she will share that decision with the fans and the superstars if the WWF today. She says they have come to the decision to give Ric Flair 100% control of RAW, while Vince McMahon will have 100% control of SmackDown. She explains that next week on RAW history will be made with the very first WWF draft! She explains that every WWF superstar is eligible for the draft, except for WWF Women’s champion Jazz and WWF Undisputed champion Triple H.

Monday Night Raw – March 25th 2002

RAW starts off with Linda McMahon explaining the rules of the draft to the locker room. She explains that Vince McMahon and Ric Flair will both select their first 10 superstars for each show, with the remainder of the roster will be selected via a random lottery after RAW has gone off the air. The finalised rosters will be revealed on WWF.com later that night. She says that due to the triple threat for the Undisputed title tonight, Triple H, Chris Jericho and Stephanie McMahon are not eligible for the draft. She also adds that due to a contractual clause, Stone Cold Steve Austin is not eligible for the draft either and is declared a free agent.

Tazz d. Mr Perfect with a submission victory from the Tazzmission.

Ric Flair comes out to the podium as he is set to make his very first pick for RAW. He said he had thought long and hard about this selection after finding out he’d be choosing first. He then says, without further adieu, that RAW’s first draft pick is the Rock [1]! Rock comes out, shakes Flair’s hand and does his usual catchphrases before giving the fans a guarandamntee that he will make sure every time the fans see him on RAW, it’ll be a show to remember, “If ya smell, what the Rock, is cooking!

In the back, Mr. McMahon says he’s far more intelligent than Flair because he is going to pick a group that changed the face of wrestling, and a group that played a big part in putting WCW out of business. Ladies and gentlemen…the nWo [1]! Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac walked out onto the stage and all shook Vince’s hand. Nash spoke into Mr. McMahon’s microphone and promised him that they’ll be good boys on SmackDown.

Booker T and Christian d. Edge and Diamond Dallas Page when Booker hit the Axe Kick on DDP.

In the back we see Arn Anderson talking to Ric Flair, begging him not to do it. He says it has bad news all over it. Flair says he knows the consequences but he is still going to do it. He announces his next pick as the Undertaker [2]! Arn Anderson shakes his head as we see Undertaker’s reaction, he’s totally furious and he punches Funaki in the face for no real reason.

Back in Mr. McMahon’s war room, we see Kurt Angle burst into the room. He wants to know why he wasn’t chosen first! He runs down what he did for the WWF back at Survivor Series, and Mr. McMahon says that Kurt is right, and then makes his next pick Kurt Angle [2]!

We cut directly to Ric Flair’s war room, as he says Angle is a great asset for SmackDown as he can out-wrestle just about anyone and everyone on the face of this planet. Then he corrects himself and says, “Anyone but my next pick…Chris Benoit [3]!”

In Mr. McMahon’s war room he is furious that Ric Flair picked Chris Benoit, and Kurt Angle is also furious at Flair’s comments about him! Angle tries to convince him that Angle is better than Benoit, but McMahon seems to ignore him. He promises to himself and the world that he will get Stone Cold Steve Austin on SmackDown. Angle reminds him that it’s his pick, and McMahon yells at him, saying he knows. He says he wants gold on SmackDown, and picks the Intercontinental champion Rob Van Dam [3]!

Trish Stratus d. Ivory with the Stratusfaction.

Straight from the break, Ric Flair comes out onto the podium and says his next pick is one of the most dangerous men he’s ever seen, and one of the most powerful at that. He then goes on to pick Kane [4].

Vince McMahon walks out onto the stage, and reminds him that Kane is a monster that he will never be able to control. Talking of control, he says, he is making the next draft pick because he wants to make this man’s life a living hell. He says nobody, NOBODY screws with Vince McMahon and gets away with it and announces his next pick as Hollywood Hulk Hogan [4]!

The Rock and Hollywood Hogan meet each other backstage and Hogan says that he’ll wage a one-man war on the nWo and Vince McMahon if he has to! Rock says that tonight they’ll team together one last time in their handicap match with Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac, and they’ll tear the house down! Hogan says they’ll lay the smackdown on their candy-asses!

Ric Flair is seen backstage and tells Arn Anderson to do something we don’t hear, before saying it’s his pick and says he wants to pick a man that was one of the reasons WCW’s heart stayed beating long after it probably should have, even though he’s a changed man now, Flair picks the five time, five time, five time, five time, five time WCW champion Booker T [5]!

The nWo d. the Rock and Hollywood Hogan when Kane interfered and attacked the nWo, causing a disqualification.

Mr. McMahon storms into Flair’s war room and asks what the hell that was about! Flair said he sent Arn Anderson to go and find someone who can watch the Rock and Hogan’s back out there tonight for that match just in case the nWo tried anything fishy, and Arn found to Kane! McMahon nearly hit Flair, but held back and decided that instead of hitting him, he would announce his fifth pick of the night. McMahon chooses the WWF Tag Team champions Billy, Chuck and their stylist Rico [5]! Ric Flair congratulates him for getting the Tag Team titles, but says it’s his time to bring some gold to RAW and goes on to pick the European champion William Regal [6]! McMahon is furious about losing the European title to RAW and then retorts by picking Edge [6]! Flair quickly fires back and takes the Hardcore champion Maven [7]! Mr. McMahon’s eyes widen in shock and fury, and instead of making a pick, storms out of the room slamming the door behind him. Flair laughs.

Jeff Hardy d. Billy after interference from Chuck and Rico backfired.

In Mr. McMahon’s war room we see Kurt Angle trying to calm McMahon down, reminding he got the best pick in Angle himself. McMahon looks annoyed and mentions that seen as he has the Tag Team belts on SmackDown, he’ll need great teams for competition. He says he knows who he’ll pick, and says that he will pick the best tag team to come out of the WWF in a long time, and picks Jeff Hardy [7]! McMahon says the Hardy Boyz will be on SmackDown.

Cut to Ric Flair’s war room where he warns Vince about being over-confident and quickly makes his eighth draft pick Matt Hardy [8]! We cut over to Mr. McMahon’s war room where he is throwing plants and light stands at the wall.

Cut to the locker room where Matt and Jeff Hardy embrace and say their goodbyes.

Rikishi vs. William Regal was a no-contest when Brock Lesnar came down and demolished both men!

Vince McMahon struts out onto the apron and approaches his podium. He talks about his next pick, and says Brock Lesnar is loaded with potential, and calls him ‘the next big thing’. He says that his next pick is a no-brainer and picks Brock Lesnar and his agent Paul Heyman [8]!

Ric Flair walks out right behind McMahon and says he will choose someone with equal, maybe even more potential…Rhyno [9]! Vince McMahon laughs it off and then says that he is taking the Cruiserweight division with him and selects the Cruiserweight champion Tajiri [9]! Flair quickly bites back, naming his tenth and final draft pick as the Big Show [10]! Vince McMahon’s bottom jaw drops, as he can’t believe he forgot all about the Big Show. McMahon stands around and thinks to himself for a few seconds, and grudgingly picks Lance Storm [10] as his final pick!

WWF Intercontinental title match

Rob Van Dam d. Kurt Angle when Edge ran in and hit a spear on Angle, allowing RVD to hit the Five Star Frog Splash for the win.

Michael Cole is backstage with Stephanie McMahon, who says she isn’t going anyway. In fact, she’ll be everywhere after she wins the Undisputed title tonight from her soon-to-be-ex husband!

WWF Undisputed title match

Triple H d. Stephanie McMahon and Chris Jericho after he hit a spinebuster on Stephanie for the pin, forcing Stephanie to leave the WWF forever. The show ends with the fans singing "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey! Goodbye!" to Stephanie, with Triple H joining in!

SmackDown! - March 28th 2002

The main event of Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Kane and the Rock vs. the nWo is announced as Booker T comes out.

Diamond Dallas Page d. Booker T when Brock Lesnar runs in and decimated DDP with a triple powerbomb.

Kurt Angle came to the ring and says that he can't believe people cheering when Stephanie McMahon was forced to leave the WWF on RAW. He says she brought a smile to the face of every WWF wrestler. He talked about how great she is until Mr. McMahon comes out.

He says the fans are ungrateful and blames it all on Triple H. He says he seduced her, than he embaresses her. He promises to make Triple H's life a living hell when he's on SmackDown. Cue Triple H.

Triple H comes out and promises that if Vince screws with him, he'll make HIS life a living hell. Then he says that maybe they should honour Stephanie's time in the WWF, and plays a video of Triple H pinning her on RAW as well as the rest of the end of RAW.

Kurt Angle then grabs a microphone and demands a match with Triple H tonight! McMahon says instead of a one-on-one, he says he wants a shot at him as well and makes a handicap match. Triple H says it's on.

Ric Flair comes to the ring and says he still has power here tonight, and then says because it's his last night on SmackDown, he makes it Kurt Angle and Vince McMahon vs. Triple H and Ric Flair!

Cut to the back where the Hardy Boyz and Lita are talking about how if they win the WWF Tag Team titles tonight, they get to stay together. Jeff says that even if they don't win, Matt still has Lita with him on RAW and says it was a hell of a ride.

WWF Tag Team titles match

Billy and Chuck d. the Hardy Boyz when Rico distracted Jeff allowing for Billy to hit the Fameasser for the pin. After the match, the Hardyz hit a Twist of Fate/Swanton Bomb combo for possibly the very last time.

In the back, the APA are playing poker, but Faarooq said it didn't feel the same playing cards seem as they knew they were going to be seperated soon. Tajiri and Torrie walked in and the APA told them they were throwing a big party, and asked Torrie to play strip poker, which she agreed to!

Lillian Garcia interviewed the Hardy Boyz and Lita and asked how it felt to be going their seperate ways. They said it was an opportunity, and Jeff congratulated Matt on being with Lita on RAW. Then Chris Jericho walked by, saying it should be all about him as he should still be the Undisputed champion and be on BOTH shows! Jeff said it's not their fault he's a has-been! Jericho snapped and attacked Matt and Jeff all the while screaming 'I am not a has-been'!

The Rock, Kane and Hollywood Hogan are seen backstage. Rock says that tonight is the last chance that they together get a shot at the nWo, and after tonight it's all down to Hogan. Hogan says that they will make tonight a night to remember, saying that with the Big Red Monster Kane on their side, they can't loose.

The Rock, Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Kane d. the nWo when Kane chokeslammed X-Pac for the win.

Chris Jericho d. Matt Hardy when he tapped out to the Walls of Jericho.

We see the APA card game, as Torrie loses a hand and takes off her belt. The men sigh.

Intercontinental title match

Rob Van Dam d. Test with a sunset flip.

Raven is interviewed backstage by the Coach, and he promises to win the Hardcore title and bring it to SmackDown.

Hardcore title match

Raven d. Maven with the Raven Effect to win the title, but after winning the belt he was rolled up by Maven as Maven pinned Raven to win back the title!

Mr. McMahon is shown in the back, furious that Raven couldn't finish the job with Maven and bring the Hardcore title to SmackDown. He then turns his attentions to his 10th draft pick, Lance Storm. He says that he regrets picking Lance Storm, and says that Storm had better not make him regret it even more. Storm promises not to. He turns to Kurt Angle, who says he heard a rumour that Stone Cold Steve Austin would be on RAW this week. Mr. McMahon promised to be there and promised to sign Austin to a SmackDown contract.

The APA's party is shown, as William Regal interupts and laughs at the APA being broken up. A huge brawl erupts with the APA coming out on top. They joke about their success before leaving their office, changing the sign from, "Open for business" to "Sorry we're closed".

Vince McMahon and Kurt Angle d. Triple H and Ric Flair when the Undertaker ran in and chokeslammed Ric Flair before drapping McMahon's arm over him for the pin.

The RAW and SmackDown's are basically the same as the real ones, with a few minor changes. Both AR and I agreed that it would be better to get straight into the shows. I'll post the rosters in a minute :P

Rey Mysterio Jr. to work Japan dates

The WWF's interest in signing Rey Mysterio Jr. seems to have cooled off for the time being after Misterio revealed he would be working in Japan for All Japan Pro Wrestling, but did state that he would like to work in the WWF one day. He said that he was told the WWF were interested in signing him, but he was given an offer from AJPW first. It's not known how many dates Mysterio has, but it has been rumoured that he will be working with AJPW up until February of next year at the very least.

A NEW ERA FOR RAW?

April 1st, 2002

A new era for the World Wrestling Federation begins tonight with the first Raw following the Brand Extension last week. General Manager Ric Flair has promised that tonight's Raw will be groundbreaking and he has already signed several high-profile matches to insure that everyone knows which is the superior brand. In the opening contest, Ric Flair has signed Mr. Perfect to take on Matt Hardy!

The General Manager will also present a new Championship belt to the Undisputed Champion, Triple H! After defeating Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, Triple H will be presented with the very first ever WWF Undisputed Title only on RAW!

After bringing the European Title to RAW, Ric Flair has quickly signed his first title match. We will see William Regal, who won the title two weeks ago on Smackdown, defend against Rikishi! Can Regal overtake Rikishi and avoid the Stinkface or will he be just another victim of the Kish's ass? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Ric Flair has also signed Test to singles competition as he takes on the Big Red Machine, Kane! Obviously, this will be no easy challenge for Test but with immunity on his side, he may do anything he can to win the match. In other action, Chris Jericho will take on The Rock in a huge main event signed, again, by the General Manager!

It is obvious that Ric Flair has pulled out all the stops for this week's RAW but still, there's no telling what will happen when Triple H arrives to the building! RAW comes to you live only on TNN at 9 / 8 CT.

RAW - April 1st, 2002

[ Opening Montage ]

RAW opens from the top of the arena and circles around, showing the rabid 7,000 or so fans within. Some hold signs promoting their favorite wrestlers while others simply stare into the camera and scream wildly. The camera quickly zooms down to the ring, circling around to the show the new RAW set. Instead of the two screens on each side of a massive one, their is simply one huge screen with steel grid on both sides. There is also a new RAW logo and after we get a good look at everything, the camera zooms in on Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, who are now seated at the top left-side of the rampway instead of ringside.

Ross: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to WWF Raw! Tonight is a new era for the World Wrestling Federation -- the first show to be held with the Brand Extension in full effect and it's going to be a dandy, King.”

King: “That's right, JR. Ric Flair has pulled out anything and everything to insure that this week's Raw outdoes Smackdown. And if I may say so myself, I think he's went far beyond just outdoing Smackdown. We're going to crush them! Hahaha!”

Ross: “Maybe so, but that aside, tonight's show is stacked from top to bottom. In the main event, Y2J Chris Jericho will face The Rock! King, Jericho got his last shot at the title one week ago and he cannot be happy with the outcome. From what I'm hearing, with Stephanie now gone from his side, Y2J is a changed man and the only thing on his mind is getting that title back!”

King: “That's true, JR. Jericho believes that title is truly his and he'll stop at nothing, NOTHING, to get it back! And with Stephanie McMahon banned from the WWF, he's on his own now to do exactly that.”

Ross: “Well, we've certainly got alot going on tonight, but let's get things underway. Oh, and do you hear that King?!”

King: “Oh yeah, JR! The Nature Boy and our General Manager is here!”

Indeed, the Nature Boy was now making his entrance. Adorned in a grey suit and tie, Flair was carrying a title belt covered in a white protective sheet with the WWF logo on it. Strutting slowly down the rampway, Flair took his time and milked the crowd as he went, pointing at the title and proclaiming that RAW was number one. Striding up the steel steps, Flair walked across the apron and ducked down into the ring before entering where he layed the belt across the rope and then strutted back and forth with a smirk. Calling for a microphone, Mr. Flair quickly found one in his hand and as his music died down, he stepped into the center of the ring and placed the title across his shoulder before waiting for the crowd to cease their cheers.

Flair: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am down here for one reason and one reason alone. To award Triple H with this here title -- the first ever WWF Undisputed Championship! You see, there is no other man that I can think of that deserves this title more. Not only did he beat the man, whoo, to became the man; but he did it with a bad leg! So Triple H, come on down here and accept your title!”

With that, the lights dimmed and the familiar sounds of Lemmy roared over the P/A System as ‘It's All About the Game’ started up and the crowd rose to their feet in cheers. Stepping out onto the rampway in his trademark leather/jean jacket, Helmsley had both the WWF and World's Heavyweight titles strapped around his waist. With water bottle in hand, Helmsley stopped at the top of the rampway and stared down before starting his journey down towards the ring. Making his way up the steps, he carried himself over right in front of the fans before looking down and taking a gulp of water. Suddenly, his arms shot up as did his head and he spat the water out with a roar as the crowd went nuts. Turning, Triple H made his way into the ring and after shaking hands with Flair, received a microphone as his music died down and the crowd silenced.

Flair: “Triple H, I've said it my entire career: to be the man, you gotta beat the man. And at WrestleMania, you did exactly that. You are the man, you are the Undisputed Champion! So it's my pleasure to present you with the official WWF Undisputed Championship.”

Flair pulled the sheet off of the title to reveal a plain gold belt with the WWF logo and ‘Undisputed Championship’ written across is boldly. Handing the title to Triple H, Flair was handed the WWF and World's Heavyweight titles in return. Placing them across the ropes, he backed up and strapped the title to Helmsley's waist before raising his arm into the air and pointing at him with a smirk. Helmsley held both arms high and roared into the crowd, who simply ate it up and cheered wildly. Remembering he had a microphone, Helmsley spoke.

Triple H: “Ric, thank you. You know, I've never been the one to toot my own horn but even I have to say that I am now the man! And as the man, I'm allowed to represent both RAW and Smackdown as the Undisputed Champion. Which means, simply, that I am going to be taking on challengers from both brands! And while someone like, say Chris Jericho, would be fearful of that.. I am ready for anybody! If you want some of The Game, come get you some because I already know that I'm a marked man and I'm accepting it as a challenge. But you know what? And this goes for all you guys in the back and everybody over on Smackdown. It ain't gonna be easy to get this title off of me.”

Helmsley was about to continue, but was suddenly cut off by ‘Dead Man Walking’ as the crowd rose to their feet in boo's. With the sounds of a motorcycle roaring to life, The Undertaker rode out onto the rampway with a smirk as he eyed Triple H and then turned his attention to the jeering crowd. Revving the motorcycle, 'Taker started down to the ring and upon reaching it quickly circled around twice before coming to a stop. Placing the bike on its kickstand, he turned the ignition off and climbed off before pulling himself up on the apron. From there he taunted the crowd and then slowly entered where he eyed Triple H from top to bottom, especially the title around his waist. Looking at Flair, Undertaker simply grabbed the microphone out of the Nature Boy's hand and spoke.

Undertaker: “Triple H, you know what. You are a marked man. But not just by anyone else in the back, oh no. You're marked by the most dangerous man in the entire World Wrestling Federation.. me! And in case you didn't know, I do what I want to. And Triple H? What I want to do, is beat the hell out of you and take that Undisputed Championship!”

Before Undertaker could continue, Triple H stepped right into his face but Flair quickly interrupted them as he retreaved a microphone from an attendant.

Flair: “Hold it right there! Now, this is my damn company first of all. And secondly, you two aren't going to be doing nothing without my permission. Undertaker, if you want a match with the Champion you come to me and request it. Otherwise, you aren't going to get a damn thing! You're on my show and because of that, you'll abide by my rules.”

Smirking, Undertaker rubbed his muzzle and thought about it for a second. Raising the microphone back towards his mouth, he spoke.

Undertaker: “You know what, Nature Boy? You're right. And I'm here and you're right there. So Mr. Flair, I'm requesting a match with Triple H for the Undisputed Championship. You got anything to say to that.”

Flair: “Yes, I do. No! You don't deserve a damn shot, Undertaker. When you show me something that tells me you deserve a shot at the title, then you'll get one. But until then, you ain't gettin nothi--”

But before Flair could continue, 'Taker hit him with a sick suckerpunch which layed the General Manager out. Quickly, Triple H went for him and the two began to trade blows but the Champion managed to win out and sent 'Taker stumbling back into the ropes. Whipping him into the opposite side, Triple H used in to meet him with a harsh kneebuster. A boot followed and the Champion had Undertaker set up for the Pedigree! But suddenly, a man in a pair of baggy jeans and a hooded sweatshirt jumped the protective guard rail and entered the ring, where he drilled Helmsley from behind with a forearm. The Champion went down and the man quickly began to stomp him as Undertaker regained his composure. Pulling Triple H up, Undertaker set him up for the Last Ride as the hooded man ascended to the top rope. From there, 'Taker lifted Triple H up and then dropped him harshly with the Last Ride as the hooded man leaped off the top rope and hit a picture-perfect Frog Splash! Rising to his feet, the man pulled his sweatshirt off to reveal Eddie Guerrero! With that, the crowd began to boo as Eddie made his way around the ring and slapped his chest while Undertaker stomped away at Ric Flair. Retreaving a microphone, Undertaker spoke.

Undertaker: “Triple H, you aren't the only marked man in this company. You beat me, it's almost like being the Undisputed Champion. And because of that, I found an eager, young man who wants to prove himself. You all probably know him -- he's Eddie Guerrero. And Hunter, he's better than you on anyday. Watch out, Triple H, because you really are a marked man.”

Undertaker called for Eddie and then began to exit the ring before suddenly stopping and looking over at the uncouncious Flair.

Undertaker: “Oh, yeah. Have I proved myself yet, Flair?”

Laughing and tossing the microphone aside, Undertaker exited the ring alongside Eddie and then mounted his motorcycle before cranking it up and starting towards the backstage area with Guerrero following closely behind.

(89)

Ross: “What a despictable act by The Undertaker and the returning Eddie Guerrero! That is just disgraceful to Ric Flair, Triple H, and RAW! The Undertaker is so eager to get a shot at the title that he goes as far as to lay out the General Manager and sneak attack the Champion.”

King: “Haha! Be quiet, JR. That was a perfectly thought out attack by The Undertaker and I guess, his hired gun Eddie Guerrero. Maybe Ric Flair should give him a title shot, because he certainly deserves it now.”

Ross: “Well, in any case, things are about to get underway with the first match of the night. Matt Hardy takes on Mr. Pefect and to the ring we go!”

Match One - Mr. Perfect vs Matt Hardy

With the split of the Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy was left to pick up the pieces and try his luck as a singles competitor on RAW. The task didn't begin quite as easily as Hardy would've probably hoped for, as he had to face a seasoned vetrean in Mr. Perfect. The match began with a lockup, but it was Perfect who brought Hardy down into a headlock. Smirking and nodding his head to the camera, Perfect was suddenly surprised when Hardy shoved him into the ropes and hit a dropkick right into the back of his head as he came stumbling back. Perfect rose quick and managed to catch Hardy with a nice hip toss, meeting him with a running clothesline as he stood quickly. A shoulder block followed and the two paused to look at one another before locking up again. Hardy won out, and sent Perfect into the ropes before hitting a boot on the return. A DDT followed, but it wasn't enough to put Perfect away. Hardy continued his offensive assault and scored a nearfall on Perfect, but it wasn't going to be that easy for the former Hardy Boy. Perfect used his experience in the ring as an advantage and worked Matt Hardy all across the ring. But it seemed as if the younger and more agile Hardy would come out on top. A Twist of Fate attempt came from Hardy, but Mr. Perfect was able to push him into the ropes and as he bounced off, got the rollup and a handful of the tights as well! The three count was quickly made and Mr. Perfect was awarded the match at 6:29.

Winner: Mr. Perfect, (78/73/84, ***)

[ Commercial Break ]

Returning from the commercial break, we were greeted by the sight of a black pickup with a smoking skull on the hood sitting in the parking lot. The windows were tinted darkly, leaving us to wonder who was really inside. Suddenly, the window rolled down and a beer can was hurled out into an already noticeable pile. The window was then rolled back up and we were taken back into the arena, where JR and King speculated on the truck.

(91)

Ross: “That's gotta be Steve Austin! Stone Cold is here on RAW and perhaps tonight a contract signing will take place.”

King: “That's not Stone Cold, JR. You'll fall for anything. I mean, everyone has a pickup truck with a skull on the hood. It's not that rare.”

Ross: “Oh please, King. That is Stone Cold Steve Austin in that truck and you know it. Stone Cold is going to sign a contract tonight and I hope that he's gonna go to RAW!”

King: “You'd love that huh, JR?”

Ross: “Yes I would, King. But whoever is in that truck will be figured out tonight, but right now, it's time for another singles match this time with the WWF European Title on the line.”

King: “Ugh, the last thing I need to see right now is Rikishi's backside.”

Match Two - WWF European Title: William Regal vs Rikishi

Rikishi entered the ring to cheers and almost prematurely backed it up, but he was luckily interrupted by William Regal. Entering the ring with a look of pure digust, he undid his title and quickly went for the larger man's legs which brought Rikishi down to his knees. From there, Regal kicked him right in the teeth and sent him down to the canvas. Regal quickly applied an armbar onto the Kish as he was down, but he managed to roll and flip Regal off of him. Rushing to his feet, Rikishi hit a strong clothesline and then came off the ropes with a big leg drop right across Regal's throat. The pin followed, but it was only good for two. Pulling Regal up, Rikishi guided him towards the corner but the Champion managed a sucker punch and then kicked him square in the stomach before dropping the Kish with a DDT. A pin was made by Regal, but Rikishi had his leg on the ropes at two and the match continued. Rising to his feet, Regal took Rikishi's leg and bent it at the knee sideways using all of his weight. Rikishi began to scream in pain and frail around, but he refused to tap out and finally managed to get to the ropes which forced Regal to release the hold. Rising to his feet, Regal pulled Rikishi up but was suddenly wrapped up by the larger man who quickly tossed him like a ragdoll with an Overhead Belly-to-Belly. Rising to his feet slowly, Rikishi limped towards Regal who noticed this and hit a sick chop block right into Rikishi's leg. A pin was made, but Rikishi kicked out at two. Rising to his feet, Regal stepped into the corner and began digging into his tights where he pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and placed them on his fist. Turning, Regal approached the now standing Rikishi and swung but he ducked and hit a Death Valley Driver instead! Rising to his feet, Rikishi looked from one side to the other and nodded his head as the crowd went nuts. Pulling Regal up, Kish whipped him into the ropes and then rushed him to meet him with a huge splash. Regal, almost on cue, fell down in the corner and Rikishi began to back it up. However, out of nowhere, Rhyno suddenly came running down to the ring and slid in behind Rikishi, who was about to give Regal the Stinkface. But as he turned, Rikishi walked right into the GORE! The bell was quickly called for but Rhyno simply stared down at Rikishi as William Regal hightailed it out of there. Pulling Rikishi up, Rhyno managed to lift him above his shoulders in a Gorilla Press and then threw him over the ropes and to the outside where Rikishi slammed face first into the ground with a sick thud! Smirking, Rhyno made his way to the back.

Winner: Via DQ, Rikishi, (68/72/62, *¾)

Ross: “By gawd, Rhyno has just destroyed Rikishi! What the hell was that about?! Rhyno had no business down here and certainly none with Rikishi, who he could've just seriously injured.”

King: “I don't know why Rhyno did that, but he certainly gave an impressionable message to General Manager Ric Flair and especially Rikishi! Haha, did you see that Gore? Rhyno just about killed Rikishi!”

Ross: “There was nothing funny about that and I for one, hope Rikishi is alright. In any case, I'm now being told that Jonathan Coachman is backstage with The Rock who will face Chris Jericho later tonight. Coach, take it away.”

We're suddenly taken to the backstage area, where The Rock and Coachman are standing by. Rock is still in his street clothes, consisting of a $500 dollar unbuttoned shirt and a pair of white slacks. The interview area has also changed, much like the RAW set. Now adorned with a plasma television with the RAW logo and a simple steel grid background, we no longer see the chainlink fence and barrels. As soon as he gets the word from JR, Coach begins.

Coach: “Thank you, JR. I am standing by with The Rock, who ...”

Rock: “FINNALLLYY..... THE ROCKKK HAS COME BACK .... to New Yawk! Coach, what's up with you man. You seem scared to be talking to The Rock. You aren't scared, are you? Because the only man that should be scared tonight is that candy-ass jabroni, Chris Jericho! You know, Chris Jericho calls himself Y2J. He calls himself the best of the best and the hell with the rest. He thinks he's the king of the world and the best thing since sliced bread. And The Rock will give it to him. Chris Jericho, you were the first ever Undisputed Champion. You've beaten The Rock before, sure. But Y2J, let The Rock asure you of one thing, brotha. The Rock is not playing games tonight. When you step into the ring with the Brahma Bull, you'll be stepping into the ring with someone who has only one thing on his mind and that's beating you. So Chris Jericho, be ready for The Rock. Be ready for anything, because The Rock is bringing it to New Yawk tonight and it's gonna be something you ain't ever seen before. IF YAAAA SMEELLLLLLLLLLL ... what The Rock.” Eyebrow. “IS COOKIN'!!”

With that, The Rock stormed off screen as Coach just stood there with a confused look on his face. From there, we were taken to another scene unfolding in the backstage area.

(90)

We were taken to the General Manager's office following The Rock's interview, where Flair was discussing RAW matters with Arn Anderson. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and before either man could even answer, the door was shoved open and in stepped the Smackdown General Manager, Vince McMahon! Looking at Flair, who had a bandage on his forehead from The Undertaker's attack earlier tonight, McMahon smirked and then took a seat at his own accord.

McMahon: “Well, hello Ric. You know, tonight must be going pretty bad for you. Because first, you get attacked by The Undertaker and Eddie Guerrero. And now, you're about to lose the biggest free agent in the WWF to Smackdown!”

Flair: “Oh, is that so Vince? You know, for someone who gave Steve Austin hell for his entire career, you seem really confident that he'll suddenly forget about it and sign a contract with you. And what makes you think tonight is going bad? From the looks of things so far, RAW is already blowing Smackdown away. We've already had a title match tonight, not to mention Steve Austin showing up on MY show. And, we still have Chris Jericho facing The Rock later on. You'll have to pull out all the stops to beat us, Vince.”

McMahon: “Oh, don't worry about that. With Steve Austin on Smackdown, it will be very easy for us to destroy RAW. Speaking of which, get ready because the contract signing of Steve Austin is happening tonight, right after your next pitiful match.”

Flair: “Okay, Vince. But don't be surprised when Stone Cold signs with Raw, the flagship show of the WWF.”

With that, McMahon stared down Flair before storming off.

[ Commercial Break ]

Ross: “Did you hear that, King? The contract signing of Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to take place right after our next match.”

King: “I heard JR, but I really don't think that is Steve Austin's truck.”

Ross: “That is Steve Austin's truck and he's going to sign a contract next. But right now, it's time for more in ring action, as Test takes on Kane!”

Match Three - Kane vs Test

Carrying with him the papers that gave him immunity, Test made his way down to the ring with a smirk and layed the papers in the corner before climbing into the ring. Kane was out next, stalking his way down to the ring as Test looked on with a smirk. Kane entered, but was quickly attacked by Test as the bell rang with forearms. Tossing him into the corner, Test began to nail Kane with chops but the Big Red Machine simply grabbed him and threw him aside. Kane then layed into Test with a series of fists, but Test managed to drill him with a knee into the gut and then hit a bodyslam onto the canvas. An elbow into Kane's chest followed, as did the pin, but it was only good for two. Pulling Kane up, Test sent him into the ropes and went for the big boot as he returned but Kane ducked and hit a clothesline instead! Calling for a Chokeslam, Kane went for it as Test stood but Test managed to avoid it with a rake to the eyes and then came off the ropes with a huge Big Boot! A pin followed, but Kane was able to kickout and as Test rolled away just sat up. Rising to his feet, Kane hit Test with a series of fists and then hit a Sidewalk Slam off the ropes. A pin followed, but Test managed to barely kick out before the three. Pulling him up, Kane began to drill him with fists but Test fired back and then proceeded to shove Kane right into official Earl Hebner, knocking him down. Rolling to the outside, Test recovered a steel chair and then headed back into the ring where he smashed it across Kane's head! Pulling Kane up, Test nailed the Pump Handle Slam right onto the chair and then kicked the chair to the outside before making the pin. Hebner, now concious, made the slow count and Test was awarded the match at 7:19. After the match, Test proceeded to drag Kane towards the top of the rampway where he whacked him across the head with the chair again. Calling for the end and pointing at JR to shut up, Test pulled Kane up and hit a huge Pump Handle Slam right through the announce table!

Ross: “Oh my gawd! Test just put Kane through the table and Kane is out. He's been destroyed by Test, who knows he cannot be fired because of his immunity. What a sick human being.”

King: “Test is out to prove a point. And you know what, so is everyone else. Everyone wants to prove a point tonight and Test just did by putting Kane through a table. But wait, he's not done.”

Ross: “What? What's he doing now? He's got Kane up, but what is he gonna do?”

Making his way over to Kane's prone body, Test pulled him up and sat him down in a chair right on the edge of the rampway. Test then called for Kane to stand, who had now managed to shake off the previous attack, and he was soon answered as the Big Red Machine stood. Rushing forward, Test hit him with a huge Big Boot that sent Kane flying off the rampway and crashing some 15, give or take, feet down to the floor! The crowd gasped as Kane's body went through the foam padding into the various wires and such, but Test just smirked and held his papers high before heading for the backstage area as EMT's and WWF officials checked on Kane.

Winner: Test, (74/71/78, **½)

[ Commercial Break ]

As Kane was taken to the backstage area, Vince McMahon's music suddenly sounded around the arena and the Smackdown General Manager made his way out onto the rampway with a smirk. Taking in the boo's, McMahon acted as if they were cheering him and nodded his head to their jeers. Making his way down the rampway, McMahon headed for the ring and entered where red carpet had already been set up along with a table with a contract from Smackdown laying on it. Taking a seat at the table, McMahon waited on the Nature Boy. The Raw General Manager was quick too, as his music hit and he strutted out onto the rampway with a clipboard in hand. Heading down to the ring quickly, Flair entered and quickly placed his contract on the table before taking a microphone.

Flair: “Alright, Vince. It's the moment of truth, who is Steve Austin going to sign with? We're about to find out, but only if you, Steve, could come down here. Ladies and gentlemen, Stone Cold Steve Austin!”

Flair lowered the microphone and awaited Austin, but as the glass shattered and his music began, nothing happened. After about 20 seconds, Flair looked at McMahon who was now standing and shrugged his shoulders. The music died down and Flair again brought the microphone to his lips before speaking.

Flair: “Steve, if you could.. PLEASE, come down here.”

McMahon grabbed the microphone from him.

McMahon: “STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN, get the hell down here! I don't have all night and damnit, I need this contract. Get your drunk ass down here and sign the contract.”

As McMahon continued yelling, we were shown the pickup truck in the parking lot on the Titan-TRON. Suddenly, the lights were turned on and the ignition started up. Screeching out of its parked position, the window on the truck was rolled down as it drove past the camera and a middle finger was stuck out as the crowd began to cheer and laugh. From there, the truck sped out of the parking lot and into the night as we cut back to McMahon and Flair.

McMahon: “What the hell is this? You son ova' bitch.”

Flair: “Austin, if you hear this, you've got until next week to sign a contract. Raw next week, the contract signing will happen or you're fired from the WWF!”

With that, Flair and McMahon both exited the ring and headed for the back as officials moved the table and carpet and JR and King speculated on whether or not Austin would sign a contract with either brand.

(100)

King: “Haha, I was wrong -- that was Austin, but he still didn't show. JR, Austin is playing it smart. Both Raw and Smackdown want him, but he's going to keep his free agent status for as long as possible and milk as much from Ric Flair and Vince McMahon as he can.”

Ross: “Austin has always been a rebel and I think he just doesn't give a damn which brand signs him as shown by his eh, gesture when he drove off. And that obviously infuriated both general managers as they threatened to fire him if he doesn't show by next week's RAW!”

King: “They won't fire Austin. He's the biggest free agent in the WWF. If they did, then both of them would try to go behind each other's backs and sign him again. Haha! Trust me, JR. By next week, Steve Austin will have signed with one of the brands.”

Ross: “I hope so, but ladies and gentlemen, tonight Ric Flair has went far beyond the call of duty to ensure that RAW was entertaining for all the fans. But it's not over yet as we still have The Rock facing Chris Jericho, RIGHT NOW!”

Match Four - 'Y2J' Chris Jericho vs The Rock

As the Titan-TRON counted down, the lights dimmed and the rampway suddenly exploded to reveal Chris Jericho standing within the smoke. Turning around, Jericho looked at the crowd and made a title shape around his waist before heading down to the ring. Striding up the steps, Jericho stepped onto the apron and then leaned onto the ropes as he yelled at the crowd. Entering, he awaited The Rock. The brahma bull's signature catchphrase was heard over the P/A System as he approached the ring quickly to a huge response. Raising an eyebrow at the crowd, Rock entered the ring quickly and began to do a few pre match stretches as he awaited the bell. Tim White called for the match to begin and the two men approached each other where they began to exchange words. Jericho was obviously mouthing off, but Rock just smirked and took a step back before spinning around and catching Y2J with a hard right to the jaw! Jericho stumbled back into the ropes, where Rock sent him into the opposite side of the ring with an irish whip, but returned with a flying shoulderblock to send Rock down. Grabbing Rock by his arm, Jericho pulled him up and twisted his arm around before driving an elbow into it and then dropping the brahma bull with a knee to the face. From there, Y2J hit Rock with a series of stiff kicks to the ribs before yelling at the crowd about regaining his title. Pulling Rock up once again, Jericho pushed him back into the corner and then sent him into the opposite corner with a whip. Yelling out, he rushed in but was met with a boot from The Rock who then began to catch Jericho with hard rights! A combo connected and Rock reared further back, looking at his hand momentarily, before knocking Y2J off his feet with a hard right. Calling for Jericho to stand, he crouched down and hit a harsh Spinebuster as he stood before standing and grabbing Jericho's legs. He quickly put Jericho in the Sharpshooter, but Y2J was able to move towards the ropes and force Rock to release the hold. Rock then began to pull Jericho up as we headed to a mid-match commercial.

[ Mid-Match Commercials ]

We returned to find Jericho now in control of things as a 'during the break' box popped up to show Jericho hitting the oncoming Rock with an elbow right into the jaw to turn the tide of things. Y2J pulled Rock up off the canvas and threw him over into the corner, where he began to lay into him with hard chops. But Rock grabbed Jericho by his hair and turned things around and began to lay into Y2J with chops now! Jericho, however, managed to hit Rock with a knee into the crotch and then floored him with a dropkick. Looking at Rock on the canvas, Jericho rushed into the ropes for a Lionsault, but Rock got his knees up! Rolling away, Jericho was pulled up by The Rock who sent him into the ropes and hit a Spinebuster on the return. Rising, Rock called for Y2J to stand yet again and this time went for the Rockbottom! But just as he went to lift Jericho, Y2J was able to slip out of Rock's grip and hit a German Suplex instead. Standing slowly, Jericho took Rock by the legs and quickly placed him in the Walls of Jericho right in the center of the ring! The crowd began to chant Rocky's name, but it looked as if he was going to give up before long. Screaming in agony, Rock attempted to push up out of it but Jericho simply sat down on it into more of a Boston Crab. Finally though, Rock used all of his remaining strength to push out and Jericho fell forth in exhaustion. Both men stood at about the same time, but it was Jericho came at The Rock. And it was then that we found out Rock had been playing possum, as he came up out of nowhere and hit Y2J with a Rockbottom! Rising to his feet with eyes wide, Rock stepped in front of Jericho and kicked his arm down beside him before pulling his elbow pad off and tossing it into the crowd. Rock rushed into the ropes and came off, leaping over Jericho and coming off the other ropes before stopping and turning as he shook wildly before dropping the People's Elbow right into Jericho's head. The pin followed and the match was over at 14:15 with The Rock as the winner! Rising to his feet, Rock's arm was raised before he headed to the ropes and brought himself up on them before raising one arm into the air as the crowd went nuts. Jericho rolled out and sulked his way to the back, mouthing off the entire way.

Winner: The Rock, (90/93/85, ***¾)

Ross: “The Rock wins! The Rock just beat the former Undisputed Champion and what a statement he has made tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, what a night it was been! Ric Flair pulled out everything to make this night successful.. and wait a minute, I'm being told something is going on in the back.”

Cutting to the back, we were shown Triple H and Eddie Guerrero being seperated by various WWF officials and wrestlers. Helmsley was yelling at Guerrero to fight him like a man, while Eddie yelled back in spainish. The two men leaped for one another and managed to connect with a couple blows, but the officials did a good job of holding the two men apart. Suddenly though, Triple H was blindsided from behind and sent to the floor by none other than The Undertaker! Guerrero managed to jump through the officials who were run off by Mean Mark. Turning back to Helmsley, he began to stomp away at him alongside Guerrero. Pulling him up, Eddie held him as 'Taker unleashed a series of blows to the visage of chest of Triple H. Guerrero then shoved him to Undertaker, who set him up for the Last Ride. Ross and King yelled for Undertaker not to do it, but no one could stop him as he quickly brought the Champion into the air and then dropped him with a powerful Last Ride right onto the cement floor! RAW then came to an end with a shot of a bloody Triple H laying on the ground.

(75)

Ross: “By gawd, what a brutal attack by The Undertaker and Eddie Guerrero on Triple H! Someone has to do something about Undertaker's actions tonight because he has taken it too far. Triple H may be seriously injured after suffering a Powerbomb right onto the cement. Someone do something, damnit.”

King: “What an assault by Mean Mark and Eddie Guerrero! Jim, they've sent a message to Triple H and Ric Flair. They mean business and Triple H knows this. He's a marked man and if he's smart, he'd better watch his back or it will only get worse.”

Ross: “Ladies and gentlemen, RAW will air live next week from San Antonio, Texas with the contract signing of Steve Austin. What's going to happen? Will Triple H even be able to compete next week after that attack? Goodnight folks and be sure to catch Smackdown on Thursday.”

New development deals handed out; call ups, more

The WWF signed four new wrestlers to their development promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling. James Storm, Chris Harris, Derrick King, and Jason Lee were all offered development deals and each accepted. King and Lee were reportedly signed to the company to liven up RAW's bare tag team scene and will be called up shortly. O.G. Ekmo and Kimo were called up from OVW to RAW, also to liven up RAW's tag team scene.

Debra McMichael will be leaving the WWF at the end of the month and there is no interest to have her sign a new contract. McMichael was rumored to have wanted out of the business for awhile now and showed no interest in renewing her contract, which the WWF failed to take up with her. As of right now, it seems as if Debra is out the door by the end of April.

The WWF has showed interest in giving Leviathan the call up from Ohio Valley Wrestling. Though nothing is known for sure, officials reportedly asked for footage of Leviathan's in-ring action. Most likely, he would go to RAW to liven up their bare midcard. Still, nothing is set in stone just yet so take this as a grain of salt.

Chris Benoit reported to Heartland Wrestling Association a few days ago to begin in-ring training for his return later on. Though there is no known date for Benoit's return, he should be back between late May and early June. If you will remember, Benoit took time off after KotR 2001 to surgically repair a nagging neck injury. Interestingly, the 05/27 RAW takes place in Edmonton.

McMAHON TO MAKE HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

April 4th 2002

SmackDown's first show since the Brand Extension last week comes to you from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York, and Mr. McMahon has a better night than he did Monday on RAW where he turned up to sign free agent Stone Cold Steve Austin, but the Rattlesnake played both McMahon and Ric Flair for fools as he drove out of the arena, flipping the bird at the two most powerful men in the WWF.

Only two matches have been announced thus far, and they are a Crash Holly vs. Shawn Stasiak, and a Cruiserweight title match between the champion Tajiri and new singles wrestler Jeff Hardy. Jeff has the chance to break into a successful singles career on SmackDown, and winning the Cruiserweight title from Tajiri would be a great step in that direction. But Tajiri is not to be counted out easily, as Tajiri has shown a vicious streak over the past couple of months and will hold back nothing as he goes up against the former Hardy Boy.

The big question looming over SmackDown, is what is the big announcement from Mr. McMahon? Does it have something to do with the biggest free agent in wrestling, Stone Cold Steve Austin? Has he already signed him to an exclusive SmackDown contract? Or is the announcement something else entirely? The only way to find out is to tune at 8/7 CT on UPN!

Just a quick note I want to make; my style of results are COMPLETLY different to AR's. Just thought I'd mention that (H)

April 4th 2002

Taped from the Blue Cross Arena – Rochester, New York

The first post-draft SmackDown kicked off in typical fashion with SmackDown owner Vince McMahon making his way to the ring. The show’s preview said that Vince had a big announcement to make tonight, and I guess he’s going to get it out the way straight away. Good idea I feel.

McMahon talked about how he will sign Austin for SmackDown, despite their past history. He said that he was told that Austin would be on RAW Monday night, but he never came out. He said he’s just trying to screw with him, and he won’t have it. He moves on to Triple H and the announcement on RAW that the Undertaker might get the first shot at his WWF Undisputed championship. Vince apologised to the Undertaker in advance as he said that due to a prior agreement, Vince alone gets to decide the first challenger for the Undisputed title. Vince said all he had to do now is to decide the no.1 contender for the title.

With that, Kurt Angle’s music played and the Olympic gold medallist came to the ring. He said that he thinks Mr. McMahon should give him the shot because he knows that Angle is loyal to Vince and his cause. A small “Hogan” chant started, which got so loud that Angle acknowledged it by saying that Hogan doesn’t deserve a shot at the title because he crossed the boss. The huge “Hogan” chant didn’t go away, but only got louder.

This prompted the nWo to make their way to the ring. Kevin Nash said hello to Vince, and asked Angle to step aside. He said that McMahon should name a member of the nWo as the no.1 contender, saying that they all know Triple H better than he knows himself, and he guarantees to take the title from him. The “Hogan” chant is still going and doesn’t stop. Nash says Hogan screwed the nWo, and deserves nothing! Vince says that he likes both ideas, but also says he has a job to ‘appease the fans’, or so the Board of Directors say. He says he’ll think about each proposal.

Vince is interrupted yet again when Edge makes his way onto the entrance ramp to a big cheer. Edge apologises for interrupting, and says that he thinks he might deserve a shot at Triple H, he says he may even deserve it more than Hall, Nash, Angle and especially grease-boy. He says while he’d love to face Triple H at Backlash, he says that only one man can take this shot. Edge doesn’t even have to say his name as the fans start another “Hogan” chant! Edge says that the fans want Hogan vs. Triple H and says that he wants Hogan vs. Triple H. He tells Vince it’s up to him. He says that he could ignore them, but says that’s a bad idea.

Angle jumps in and says that Edge has no right being out here and challenges him to match tonight! Edge says that if he wants him, he’s got him! Vince tells everyone to shut up or be fired, and says he can’t think with all this noise! The fans chant “Hogan” yet again and Vince yells out to shut up and finally gives in to the fan pressure and makes it Hollywood Hogan vs. Triple H at Backlash! Kurt Angle and the nWo are totally shocked, but Edge smiles.

WWF Cruiserweight title match

Jeff Hardy def. Tajiri to win the title

Tajiri was accompanied by Torrie Wilson as usual, and for some reason he made sure to tell her to keep out of his way during the match. Jeff Hardy, while having tasted singles gold before was clearly at the disadvantage here as this was his first match as a true singles wrestler. Tajiri looked set to win the match as he set Jeff up for the kick to the head, but Jeff ducked it and rolled Tajiri up for a near fall. Tajiri looked to go back on the offensive, but missed another kick, which then saw Jeff hit his reverse Twist of Fate before going to the top rope and hitting the Swanton Bomb and making the cover for the 1…2…3!

Jeff couldn’t believe his luck as referee Mike Chioda handed him the Cruiserweight title. Jeff went to two of the turnbuckles before leaving the ring. In the ring, Torrie went to check on her ‘boyfriend’ when he viciously slapped her! He grabbed her by the hair and yelled at hair in Japanese as she started to cry. Jeff Hardy ran back into the ring and pulled Tajiri off of her and threw him out of the ring, then made sure was ok before leaving the ring together.

In the back we see Lance Storm standing outside Mr. McMahon’s office. He took a deep breath and entered. Storm said he was told he wanted to see him; Vince ignored him. He then repeated himself, but he was ignored again. He looked around before saying that he is here and McMahon slammed his fist down on the table before standing up. He said that wanted to make it clear to Storm that he made one of the biggest mistakes of his career by wasting his final pick on him. He told Storm that he is a former WCW guy who only has a job here because Ric Flair hired him. Storm went to protest, but Vince warned him not to say a word or he’ll fire him right now. He said that there were plenty of other superstars he could’ve picked, but for some reason Lance Storm’s name appeared in his head. He doesn’t know why, but he would sure as hell like to. He tells Storm he has a tag team match with Christian against DDP and Rob Van Dam up next and told him, no, he DEMANDED that Storm impressed him. He then told him to get the hell out of his office right now.

Lance Storm and Christian def. Diamond Dallas Page and Rob Van Dam

Storm had a lot to prove to Vince McMahon here, especially seen as his job might even be on the line. Both teams teamed up together for the first time tonight, but it didn’t show. The match came to its conclusion when DDP hit a Diamond Cutter on Lance Storm and then tagged out to RVD who went to the top rope for the Five Star Frog Splash. Christian then dropkicked DDP into the referee, knocking him to the mat for a moment. Christian grabbed Van Dam’s Intercontinental title belt from the outside and slid it in to Lance Storm, who used the belt much in the same way as Chris Jericho did at Backlash 2000 against Chris Benoit, as RVD landed face first on the IC title! Storm rolled him up as Christian woke up the referee, who made the 1…2…3 count and gave Lance Storm the big win over the IC champion.

Lance Storm and Christian celebrated as if they had just won the main event at WrestleMania as they hobbled up the ramp. The referee then checked on Rob Van Dam who had a busted nose.

Shawn Stasiak vs. Crash Holly ended as a no-contest

The match barely got underway as just under a minute into the match, Brock Lesnar ran in and demolished both Stasiak and Crash Holly. The assault culminated with Stasiak eating a triple-powerbomb as Paul Heyman looked on approvingly.

Paul Heyman then grabbed a microphone and made it clear to the fans that Brock Lesnar is the ‘next big the thing’, and he promises that Brock Lesnar’s will be the name everyone remembers when they talk about the greatest wrestler of all time, let alone the 21st century. He then spotted Hugh Morrus still in the ring, and he told Brock Lesnar to show the fans what he was talking about, and Lesnar hoisted Crash onto his shoulders and hit a modified Death Valley driver. Heyman and Lesnar then left the ring as EMT’s came down to check on Stasiak and Crash.

Triple H’s music hits, and the WWF Undisputed champion makes his first appearance on SmackDown to a great pop. He gets in the ring and says that the Undertaker will get a shot at him after he’s done with Hogan, and says he’s turned his attentions to Hollywood Hogan.

With that, Voodoo Child blares across the PA system as the arena erupts at the sight of Hollywood Hogan making his way out in the red and yellow of old for the first time since his return to the WWF! Triple H looked in awe as well, as he couldn’t hide a smile coming across his face at the sight of Hogan soaking up the fans adulation. Hogan finally makes it down to the ring and cups his ear to all four sides of the ring before taking a microphone. He talks about his great memories in the WWF of headlining WrestleMania 1 with Mr. T against Rowdy Roddy Piper and ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff. He talks about how he overcame the greatest obstacle in his life when he lifted Andre the Giant over his head and slammed him down in front of 93,000 fans in the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan at WrestleMania 3. He talks about WrestleMania 18 at the Toronto SkyDome where he faced the Rock in ‘one of the greatest matches of all time’. But he then said that nothing is bigger than the Undisputed title, and says that facing Triple H and maybe even beating him for the title would mean more to him than any of his other accolades.

Triple H said that Hogan is right; it doesn’t get any bigger than the Undisputed championship. He says he’s a bit sad right now though, because he knows he’s going to have to hurt someone that he’s looked up to his entire life. He talks about how went through seven months of rehab to get to where he is now, and he won’t lose the Undisputed title to anyone. He says that Hogan is just another obstacle in his way, just like Chris Jericho was at WrestleMania. He says he’s not making threats to Hogan, and it’s not a warning, it’s purely a fact.

Hogan jumps in and says that Triple H might beat him, who knows, but then says that he has the greatest force in professional wresting behind him; Hulkamania! He says people have thought Hulkamania was dead in the past, but it always rises up again! He then closes with ‘what’cha gonna do, when Hulkamania runs wild on you?’ Triple H and Hogan stare each other down before Triple H leaves the ring, leaving Hogan to pose in the ring for a few minutes.

Cut to the back where the nWo are still pissed off that McMahon made Hogan the no.1 contender for the Undisputed title, and says that one way or the other, the nWo will get revenge. We hear laughing, as Bradshaw is sitting in the corner of the locker room drinking beer and smoking. Nash, Hall and X-Pac approach him and ask him what he’s laughing at. Bradshaw says that he finds it funny that Vince McMahon brought in the nWo personally, and he finds it ironic that the man that walked out on McMahon’s ‘poison’, the man McMahon wants to destroy, Hollywood Hogan has been given the shot at the WWF Undisputed title over Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac. This pisses Nash of, but he laughs it off and tells Hall and X-Pac to leave, but they quickly turn round and attack Bradshaw! Bradshaw holds his own, even hitting a clothesline from hell on X-Pac before being hit over the skull with a steel chair, courtesy of Scott Hall. Hall then picks up one of Bradshaw’s beers, but Nash reminds that he’s not aloud to drink it, so Hall shrugs and pours it over Bradshaw’s head before the nWo walk off.

Cut to a pre-recorded video of Raven sitting alone in a basement. Raven stated that he’s been in the WWF over a year and a-half, and says he has nothing to show for it. He goes over his history in ECW where he was the World champion twice as well as a Tag Team champion three times. He says in WCW, that crap-hole, he was a United States champion and a Tag Team champion. He says that in this company, he has held the Hardcore title twelve times, a title so prestigious that the likes of a 50-year Gerald Brisco has held it, a 59-year old Pat Patterson has held it and a HO has held it. He says he’s glad Maven won back the title last week and says that from this day forward we would see a new, and better Raven, quote the Raven nevermore.

The Dudley Boyz def. Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hugh Morrus

This match was nothing but a squash, as the Dudleyz hit all their signature spots while Crash and Chavo just got beaten down for the majority of the match. The Dudleyz finished of Chavo with the 3D, allowing D-Von to get the pin.

After the match as the Dudleyz celebrated the victory, they were jumped from behind by the WWF Tag Team champions Billy, Chuck along with Rico! The three took the Dudleyz by complete surprise here, but the Dudleyz were able to fight back! Bubba threw Chuck out of the ring and D-Von knocked Billy down with a shoulder block, leaving Rico all alone in the ring with Bubba Ray and D-Von! Rico looked outside and saw the champions lying on the concrete before slowly turning around to see Bubba and D-Von standing there! Instead of high-tailing it, Rico took a swing at D-Von who ducked the blow and the two hit the 3D on Rico! The picked up Billy and Chuck’s title belts and held them in the air as Bubba promised they were coming for the belts.

Edge def. Kurt Angle by DQ

Kurt Angle’s challenge was accepted by Edge from earlier tonight after he interrupted the opening of the show, helping Hollywood Hogan get a shot at Triple H’s WWF Undisputed title at Backlash. A great back and forth contest ensued here, with Angle just surviving Edge’s inverted sharpshooter, as well as narrowly surviving a spear after the move knocked Angle to the outside instead of allowing Edge to get the pin. Edge and Angle brawled on the outside of the ring for a while until Angle ducked a punch from Edge and caught him in the Angle slam and put him straight through the announce table! The referee had to call for a disqualification.

Edge looked to be knocked out as Angle slowly got to his feet and pulled down his straps before locking in the ankle lock! Angle locked it in tight with Edge screaming in pain before Hollywood Hogan’s music hit! Hogan ran down to the ringside area and chased Angle off. Angle backed up the ramp as Hogan checked on Edge on the floor.

Stone Cold's Contract Signing

April 8th, 2002

RAW airs live from San Antonio, Texas tonight where Steve Austin must sign a contract with one of the brand's or be fired! Last week, Austin's pickup was shown in the parking lot but Stone Cold failed to show up at his contract signing and instead drove off into the night after leaving Mr. McMahon and Ric Flair with an 'impressionable' gesture.

The first RAW after the Brand Extension was seen as a huge success, but everyone seemed to have one thing on their minds all night: making a huge impact to show GM Ric Flair that they meant business! Rhyno made his return to the ring, brutally assaulting Rikishi and costing him the European Title. Tonight, Rhyno will answer the question as to why he attacked Rikishi off all people!

After throwing Kane off the rampway, Ric Flair was ready to suspend Test but he quickly reminded RAW's General Manager that he had immunity from doing so. Therefore, Flair quickly signed Test to take on The Big Show! We saw what Test is capable of last week, but can he do the same against Big Show? If not, immunity won't save him this time.

The brutal assault on Triple H last week by Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker left the Undisputed Champion layed out at the end of RAW, but tonight the Champion hopes to gain some retribution as he faces Guerrero in a non-title match. Though The Game will face Smackdown's Hollywood Hogan at Backlash, Helmsley requested a match with Guerrero from General Manager Ric Flair and the Nature Boy was more than happy to answer Triple H's request.

After losing to The Rock last week, Chris Jericho has requested ring time from Ric Flair to congradulate The Rock on his victory. Y2J was noticeably disturbed following his loss to The Rock last week, but wants to congradulate the Brahma Bull himself for the victory. What exactly is Jericho up to? Also, Booker T will face Faarooq!

Confirmed Matches

Triple H v Eddie Guerrero

Test v The Big Show

Booker T v Faarooq

Be sure to tune in and catch all the exciting action as RAW comes to you live only on TNN at 9 / 8 CT.

This is going on hold for a week or two as Hurricane Dennis comes right for the Gulf Coast and I'm forced to evaculate. Sorry, TMM but this will continue so don't worry. If I can, I will make an attempt to get online when I get to my great aunt's house in North Alabama.

Fuck you, Dennis.

RAW - April 8th, 2002

[ Opening Montage ]

RAW opens to a shot of Eddie Guerrero sliding into the ring in black and white slow motion before attacking Triple H from behind. We're shown The Undertaker's vicious Last Ride onto the Champion, as well as General Manager Ric Flair being layed out. The scene fades away into black but appears again, now with Triple H and Eddie Guerrero being seperated by officials in the backstage area. We see the oncoming Undertaker, who floors the Champion and then lays him out with a Last Ride onto the concrete as last week's RAW closes. Fade out and we open to an overhead shot of the sold out Freeman Coliseum, where an estimated 7,000 fans are in attendance for another edition of Monday Night RAW! The camera pans around the arena before we cut to a shot of the stage as fireworks and pyro explode in a unison of red and white and Jim Ross is heard welcoming everyone to the show. From there, we go to the announce table where Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler are seated.

Ross: “We're live from San Antonio, Texas and by gawd, what a night it is going to be King! Eddie Guerrero will face Triple H in the main event after what occured last week in the opening segment of our show. But not only that, King. We will also see the contract signing of Steve Austin and if the Rattlesnake doesn't appear, he will be fired!”

King: “Oh yes, JR. The biggest free agent in the WWF will sign a contract or face being fired! But you know, I don't think he'll be gone for long even if he does refuse to sign a contract because you know that our sly General Manager, Ric Flair will sign him behind Mr. McMahon's back. Haha!”

Ross: “Well, whatever the case may be, I believe that Austin is eager to return to the ring and will sign a contract tonight. But folks, that's not all we've got planned for tonight. As I mentioned before, Triple H will face the returning Eddie Guerrero in a non-title match. Now, Triple H was viciously attacked last week and you've got to wonder what type of shape he'll be in this week.”

King: “Yeah, but Eddie has been out of the ring for almost a year now. You can't forget that, JR. Even so, I just don't think The Game has what it takes to get the job done. Eddie Guerrero is too much of a talented athlete to let even Triple H defeat him!”

Ross: “Oh please, King. Barring interference from The Undertaker, Triple H will get the job done tonight. In any case, we've got a huge show planned out and by the sound of those familiar trumpets, we're about to get underway!”

King: “Haha, oh yeah! The Nature Boy is here and he means business.”

As ‘2001 Space Odyssey’ blared over the P/A System, the crowd rose to their feet in anticipation of the General Manager's arrival. Finally the curtains parted and out stepped Ric Flair onto the stage in suit and tie, smirking as always. The crowd cheered the Nature Boy like crazy and he quickly played up on that, strutting down to the ring at his trademark arrogant pace. Ascending the steps, Flair quickly stepped through the ropes and was handed a microphone by WWF Announcer Lilian Garcia who then exited the ring. Stepping into the middle of the squared circle as the camera zoomed in on him, Flair closed his eyes and breathed in heavily as the crowd continued to cheer. Finally, his music ceased and the crowd's cheers disappear as he began to speak.

Flair: “I'm going to get right down to business because I have a lot to take care of after everything that happened last week. First of all, I'm going to address the actions of Rhyno. Son, you're a monster -- there's no denying that, not even from the Nature Boy. But your actions last Monday night were totally uncalled for, especially since you aren't even medically cleared to step into the ring yet! But you know, just as well as I, that as of April 29th you'll be cleared to get into the ring. And that just happens to be a Monday night! So here's what I'm going to do. Come the 29th, you will face Rikishi right here on RAW!”

The crowd cheered at this announcement as they anticipated Rikishi extracting some revenge on the Manbeast come the 29th. Pausing momentarily, Flair allowed the crowd to cheer before continuing.

“There's two more acts of disrespectful behavior I have to deal with, too. So this ain't over yet. Test, I'll give it to you also. You're the future of this company, but you can't just walk around beating the hell out of whoever you like just because of your immunity clause. Because, by gawd, as soon as that's up, your ass is going to be severly punished. Whooo! But you don't even got to wait until then, big boy. 'Cause you're going to be facing the Big Show tonight and as soon as Kane returns after what you did to him, you're going to be stepping into the ring with him as well.”

Flair paused and we were taken to the backstage area to show Test tossing tables and anything else he could get his hands on around. Cursing under his breath, Test shoved the monitor over before kicking it and walking off. Back in the ring, Flair watched this occur on the Titan-TRON and he smirked as he continued.

“You can get as mad as you want to, but it ain't gonna stop me. You cross the Nature Boy and by gawd, you cross the whole damn brand of RAW! So I'd start getting ready for tonight, Mr. Immunity. But I'm not done yet, oh no. I've got two more smartasses to deal with that think they can do whatever they want. And those two men are The Undertaker… and Eddie Guerrero. Tonight, Eddie, you'll face Triple H. And 'Taker, if you even think about interfering, I'll suspend you just like that. WHOOOOOO! And Undertaker, don't think you're going to get off either. Next week, it's going to be The Undertaker and Eddie Guerrero against the team of Triple H and… THE ROCK!”

Flair lowered the microphone as the crowd erupted in cheers at the mention of The Rock's name.

“Undertaker, you're off tonight, and if I see you anywhere near this damn ring during Eddie Guerrero's match, you'll be at the hands of the Nature Boy! So stick that up your pipe and smoke it, Deadman. Because, even if it kills me, everyone in the back is going to learn that RAW is the Nature Boy's and you don't cross the boss. You want to prove yourself, you do it in the ring. You don't go around attacking people and expect to get anything out of it. This isn't Smackdown. And speaking of Smackdown, Vince McMahon is here tonight to see Stone Cold Steve Austin sign with Raw.”

Cheers follow and Flair flashes a grin before continuing.

“Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is going to be historic for RAW because we will sign the biggest free agent in the WWF. I gurantee it. So sit back and enjoy the show brought to you by the Nature Boy, baby. WHOOOOOOOOOOO!”

With that, Flair dropped the microphone and then makes his way to the ropes before quickly exiting. Starting up the rampway, Flair turns and poses for the crowd as he disappears into the back. We're then taken to the commentator's booth, where JR and King discuss the Nature Boy's comments.

(100)

Ross: “Well, there you have it! Ric Flair has informed us that Steve Austin will defiantly sign with RAW tonight and he's also thrown his power around, putting Rhyno in a match against Rikishi once he is cleared to return to the ring.”

King: “In three weeks, the Manbeast will make his return and I'm going to say it right now -- destroy Rikishi! And speaking of Rhyno, we're going to hear why exactly he attacked Rikishi last week when Jonathan Coachman sits down with the Manbeast later on tonight!”

Ross: “And I can't wait for that. Of all people, why would he attack Rikishi? We'll find out tonight. But that's not all. Test will face The Big Show tonight and when Kane returns, Mr. Immunity will have to face his actions as he'll step into the ring with the Big Red Machine as well!”

King: “It doesn't matter. Like Ric Flair said, Test is the future of the WWF. He'll easily defeat both those moron's and show everyone just why he is the future. Right, JR?!”

Ross: “Uhm.. I wouldn't exactly say that, but Test is a hoss and if he could just keep his attitude in check, he could be a future WWF Champion. In any case, let's go to the ring for the first match of the night.”

Match One - Faarooq vs Booker T

Hoping to prove he was one of RAW's top stars, Booker took it to Faarooq early on who had been drafted away from his partner Bradshaw. Booker started things off with a lockup, and then threw Faarooq into the ropes for a Side Kick as he returned. The five-time WCW Champion threw Faarooq into the corner and connected with a hard series of chops before hitting a suplex. A cover was made, but Faarooq easily kicked out and rolled to his feet where he then caught Booker with a hard right. Shoving him back into the ropes, the APA member whipped him into the ropes and went for a clothesline as he returned. But Booker managed to duck and came up behind Faarooq where he hit a Full Nelson Slam. Standing to his feet, Booker pulled Faarooq up and connected with a scoop slam before dropping a knee into his face. A cover followed but again, Faarooq was able to kick out and the match continued. Up to his feet now, Faarooq held his own as Booker hit a series of blows and came back with a couple of shots of his own which sent Booker back into the ropes. Whipping him into the other side of the ring, Faarooq hit a huge Snake Eyes onto Booker, who stumbled back into a surprising dropkick from Faarooq. The pin followed, but Booker kicked out at two. Pulling him up, Faarooq attempted the Dominator but Booker slipped off his shoulder and spun him around into the Book End! Then, as Faarooq stood in a doubled-over position, he came off the ropes with the Scissor's Kick for the victory at 7:19. Afterwards, Booker celebrated his dominating victory.

Winner: Booker T, (63/72/68, *½)

Ross: “And Booker T with the dominating win there. That's how you prove something to the General Manager, right there.”

King: “Oh yeah, JR. That's the five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time WCW Champion and he just proved why right there. Ric Flair had better reconize the talent he has on his hands and give Booker T a shot.”

Ross: “Well, it certainly was a big victory for the former WCW Champion there, but right now I'm being told that Steve Austin has arrived into the building!”

Cutting to the parking lot, we were greeted with the sight of the same black pickup speeding up. Screeching into a parking spot, the ignition was shut off and it seemed as if no one would get out much like last week. But suddenly, the door was swung open and out stepped the Rattlesnake in trademark jean shorts and a camoflauge jacket! The crowd went nuts as Austin looked around before swaggering towards the entrance doors as we cut back to the ring.

[ Commercial Break ]

Ross: “Steve Austin is here! The Texas Rattlesnake is here and by gawd, he's going to sign a contract tonight. King, there's going to be no leaving tonight for Stone Cold. He will sign a contract and if I can say so myself, it'll be with RAW!”

King: “Ahh! He must've taken Flair's words to heart because the look on his face didn't look to happy. People had better watch out, because Austin doesn't look to be taking any crap tonight.”

Ross: “When has he ever?! Ladies and gentlemen, we will see Stone Cold sign a contract tonight and I cannot wait. What's going to happen?”

King: “I don't know, but stop worrying about your buddy because Steven Richards is making his entrance!”

Match Two - Matt Hardy w/ Lita vs Steven Richards

Richards marched down to the ring to boo's but simply ignored them with a sadistic look on his face. Hardy was out next alongside Lita and received a nice reaction, mainly from the female fans. Entering the ring, he was immediately attacked by Richards from behind as the bell rang. Hitting Hardy with a forearm, Richards threw him into the corner where he began to take it to him with kicks and then simply tossed him to the canvas before dropping an elbow into the back of his head. Richards pulled Hardy up and attempted to whip him into the ropes, but Matt reversed it and hit a boot upon Richards' return before dropping him with a Jawbreaker. Hardy then made the cover, but Richards was out at two. Pulling him up, Richards managed to land a shot into Hardy's gut and then dropped him with a DDT. Pulling Hardy up, Richards went for the irish whip into the corner but Hardy reversed it and then rushed in to hit Richards with the Poetry in Motion. Stumbling out, Richards blindly rushed into a boot from Hardy who followed it up with a Twist of Fate at 8:49 for the victory. Afterwards, he and Lita celebrated as they headed for the back.

Winner: Matt Hardy, (62/62/76, **)

As Hardy and Lita backed up the rampway, we were suddenly taken to the backstage area where Jonathan Coachman was standing by with Test. Rubbing his hands together and staring off camera with an arrogant smirk, Mr. Immunity turned his attention to Coach who held a microphone in hand and quickly fired off a question to Test as soon as he received word that the camera's were on.

Coach: “Test, last week you brutally assaulted Kane and tonight, Ric Flair has put you in a match against The Big Show because of your actions. Not only that, but you'll have to face Kane when he returns. How do you feel about the General Manager's attitude towards you?”

Test: “Coach, it's very simple as to why Ric Flair is punishing me. He's jealous. Yeah, that's right. Ric Flair is jealous of Test because he realizes that I am the future of the WWF and he is the past! You see, I proved myself to everyone when I won the Immunity Battle Royal. I proved myself to everyone when I single handedly destroyed the Big Red Retard. Coach, Test is ready for the WWF Title and Ric Flair can't hold me down any longer.”

Coach: “But don't you think Kane will be seeking revenge when he returns?”

Test: “Frankly, I don't care what Kane is going to be seeking when he comes back. If he wants some revenge, he'll know where to find me. Because I can't be held responsible for my actions and I'm willing to do anything to make a statement. As for tonight, Big Show.. be ready. Because I will come for you.”

With that, Test held his immunity papers up and then disappeared off camera as Coach gave a confused look. We were then taking back to the arena, where The Big Show was already making his entrance.

Match Three - The Big Show vs Test

Show made a quick entrance and was followed by Test, who forced the official to hold his opponent back as he entered. Then, Test quickly came over the referee's shoulder with a boot to Show's face as the bell rang. Pulling Show up, Test threw him down across the middle ropes where he began to choke him! Finally the referee forced Test to let go, who then came off the ropes and straddle Show's head, sending his neck right into the cable ring ropes. Backing off, Test grabbed Show by the head and then nailed him with a couple of rights but Show let out a roar and grabbed Test by his throat as he stood. Lifting him up, Show went for the Chokeslam but Test managed to evade this with an elbow to the head and then came off the ropes with a clothesline attempt only for Show to stay standing and then lay him out with a right hook. Pulling Test up, Show threw him into the ropes and began to lay a beating on him with fists but Test managed to rake Show across the eyes and then hit another clothesline off the ropes. This time, Show went down and Test quickly made the pin but it was only good for a two count. Standing, Test pulled Show to the outside where he tossed him into the steel steps. The referee warned Test that if he didn't bring the match back into the ring, he would disqualify him but Test simply ignored the official and instead retreaved a steel chair which he promptly smashed across Show's head. Earning himself the surprising DQ at 6:27, Test tossed the chair back into the ring and then rolled Show in. As Show climbed to his knees, Test again smashed the chair across his back and then kicked him in the head. Tossing the chair onto the canvas, Test pulled the uncouncious Show up and called for the end. Setting him up, Test showed his amazing strength with a Pump Handle Slam right onto the chair!

Winner: Via DQ, The Big Show, (57/68/57, ½*)

Ross: “Dear gawd! What the hell has gotten into Test? It's nice that he has immunity, but there's no reason for all of this. He had the upperhand in the match, but chose to simply disqualify himself with the use of a foreign object. Why did he do it?

King: “Why, JR? Because Test doesn't care about his win and loss record -- he cares about how much brutality he can hand out. He's got immunity JR. He can go attack Ric Flair tomorrow and he won't be punished. When you have that type of barrier to protect you, you're bound to do anything.

Ross: “Well, I don't understand his actions but nonetheless, that was a brutal attack on The Big Show who is just now being helped out of the ring. You know, when Kane returns -- he'll not only have one big man coming for him, but now two!”

King: “Oh please, JR. He just single handedly destroyed Big Show and he did the same to Kane last week. He isn't be worried and in my opinion, he shouldn't be. He's the future of this company, JR. Hahaha!”

Ross: “Well, in any case, Jonathan Coachman talked to Rhyno earlier today and the two discussed why exactly the Manbeast attacked Rikishi, of all people, and here's what he had to say.”

The feed then cut away to a shot of Coach sitting beside Rhyno within the confines of the lockerrooms. Both were wearing mike pieces to avoid having to use the microphone and for once, Rhyno didn't look all-the-way disturbed. Coachman was obviously scared, in any case, and eased his way into things. Dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a tee-shirt, Rhyno sat beside Coach and stared at him as he began.

Coach: “Rhyno, first of all, how are you doing? You've been away with a neck injury but you're almost ready for your in-ring return. Are you excited about returning to the ring?”

Rhyno: “Wow, Coach. You're just a little bundle of information. Just so you know, I am nearly 100% and once I reach the point at which I can return to the ring I'll be nearly twice as dangerous as I was before I left. And as for being excited, I'm not sure you'd call it that. I'm more worried about how much damage and destruction I can cause.”

Coach: “Well, when you do return, I'm sure everyone will be watching their backs. But the reason I requested this interview was to find out why exactly you attacked Rikishi? You two have no prior history and it just seems odd that you'd come out of the blue to attack Rikishi, off all people. And everyone has been wanting to know. So why, exactly, did you attack Rikishi?”

Rhyno: “Why? You know, Coach, I could sit here and say that it's nothing personal against Rikishi. But it is. Because while some of us sit here and struggle to make it to the top and never do despite being talented in every way, you have Rikishi -- who makes his name off being a fat, digusting piece of trash. When I first came to the WWF, I had to fight my way to the top and never quite made it despite my hard work because of my neck injury. But then there's Rikishi, who's only highlight in a match is shoving his dimpled ass into someone's face. Well, I'm here to put an end to that. Rikishi, you represent everything that a superstar in the WWF shouldn't be. While talented workers slave to make a name for themselves, you just ride along as a comedy character with Too Cool and plaster your ass all over the television. So Coach, that is why I did what I did. Because Rikishi deserves nothing he has been given and I do. I have the talent and the drive to be at the top. I have the brutal mentality that will lead me to peaks that Rikishi will never reach. Yet, here is some fat son of a bitch who continually gets shots that he doesn't deserve because people like to laugh at him. Well, I'm going to give the people something to laugh about. Because I will not stop until Rikishi is good and buried. I'm here to make a statement. And Ric Flair has helped me with that, because on April 29th, I will destroy Rikishi. You can count on it.”

With that, Rhyno stood and riped the mike piece off before disappearing off camera as Coach nodded towards the camera and we were quickly taken back to the arena, where JR and King began to discuss his comments.'

(69)

[ Commercial Break ]

Ross: “There's nothing personal behind Rhyno's attacks, he's just jealous! Rhyno just admitted that he attacked Riksihi because of his own jealously. That makes me sick. He's not a manbeast, he's just jealous of Rikishi's success.”

King: “Jealous? Did you not hear him, JR. He's just sick and tired of people like Rikishi, who don't deserve squat, getting all the shots. And I can't say I don't agree with him. Rikishi is just a fat, slob and it's about time somebody stopped this travesty.”

Ross: “Please, King. Rhyno's actions are the result of his jealousy, which to me is totally pathetic. But from the sound of that, Chris Jericho is making his entrance.”

King: “Here he comes, JR! Y2J is here.”

The lights dimmed and the countdown began where it exploded upon the rampway as the clock reached 0. Afterwards, the smoke cleared to reveal Jericho standing with his arms and legs spread. Spinning around, Jericho looked at the crowd and smirked as they boo'ed him, dressed in a pair of leather pants and an unbuttoned vinyl shirt. Warning a fan to be quiet, Jericho checked on his dud's before starting his journey down the rampway. Striding up the steel steps, Jericho walked across the apron and then gripped the ropes as he shook them before stepping in. Retreaving a microphone, Jericho stepped into the center of the ring where two bar seats had been placed and sat down.

Jericho: “Shut up, fat boy and let the Living Legend speak! Last week, The Rock competed in the match of his life. He gave it his all, everything he had… every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears. And you know what? He managed to beat the Ayatollah…of Rock-n-Rolla! And for that Rocky, I am here to congradulate you. Because beating Y2J is no easy feat but last Monday, you proved that it is indeed possible. So Rocky, Mr. Brahma Bull, The Great One… come on down here to the ring so that I may fully congradulate your HUGEEEEE win.”

Jericho lowered his mike and shifted towards the rampway. There was a 5-second pause before The Rock's voice echoed over the P/A System and the crowd erupted in cheers. As the Titan-TRON lit up with images of The Great One, The Rock himself emerged from the curtains in a pair of slacks and a golden silk shirt, probably around $500 or so he'd claim. Raising an eyebrow at Jericho, Rock slowly approached the ring and entered where he eyed Y2J before bringing himself up onto the ropes and raising an arm as the crowd went crazy. Finally turning to face Jericho, he was handed a microphone before easing into the seat beside Y2J.

Rock: “Thank you, Chris. It means so much to me that the Ayatollah of... Rock-N-Rolla wants to congradulate me. Really, so much.”

Jericho: “You're welcome, Rocky. And really, it must mean so much not only for me to congradulate you but for you to also beat me. I mean, really, you don't see many people beating Y2J. But in any case, I've got a special present for you. Production monkies, if you will.”

The lights dimmed and the the Titan-TRON came to life showing The Rock on the receiving end of a beating from various opponents. Rock was shown taking moves from the Pedigree to the Stunner, even to the Walls of Jericho. From there the video went to shots of a bloody Rock, who was layed out and in obvious pain. Back in the arena, it was obvious that the video wasn't amusing Rock who eyed it with anger. Finally, the video came to an end with a final shot of Rock taking a chair shot from Chris Jericho himself. Back in the arena, Jericho smirked and looked at Rock.

Jericho: “Do you like it?”

Rock: “Well, first of all, I've just got to do something.”

Suddenly, Rock shot to his feet and brought the microphone to his lips as he walked forward.

Rock: “FINNNNNAAALLLLYYYY…THE ROCK HAS COME BACK........to SAN AN--TON--IO! And Y2J Chris Jericho, you love to talk about how big of a moment it must've been for The Rock because I beat you. Well, let The Rock asure you of a couple things. For one, no body gives a damn about the Ayatollah of Ass-and-Holea. Secondly, The Rock has beaten you before. This is not the first time and it probably won't be the last. So Chris Jericho, let The Rock ask you this. Who… are you trying to kid?”

The Rock turned to Jericho and lowered his mike, staring a hole into him as Y2J stood and rubbed his chin before speaking.

Jericho: “I'm not try---”

Rock: “IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU'RE TRYING TO KID!”

Jericho: “You don't talk to me like that! Look, that video was a little tasteless but it was a joke. Haha, from me to you. Right? But I've got the real video right here. Just look.”

Jericho pointed towards the Titan-TRON, but as Rock looked, he quickly nailed him with a sucker punch. Pulling Rock's legs out from under him, Jericho quickly let a boot go between Rock's legs and then continously nailed him with a series of punches before rolling to the outside where he retreaved a steel chair. Back in the ring, Jericho walloped Rock as he stood and then tossed it aside before placing Rock into the Walls of Jericho! Finally, RAW cut away to a shot of upcoming Tour Dates as officials struggled for Y2J to release the hold.

(92)

King: “Hahaha! Jericho just layed Rock out and he's really taking it to him now. What a move, by Y2J.”

Ross: “What a move? This is an obvious showing of Y2J's unsportsmanship like behavior because, flat out, he lost to The Rock! Well, you'll get yours Jericho and I hope to God that it's coming soon.”

King: “Oh, lighten up JR. Chris Jericho is the Ayatollah of Rock-N-Rolla, the King of the World, the LIVING LEGEND. Nobody can stop him, baby. No one. Haha.”

Ross: “You're nothing more than a Jericholic, King. But I'll tell you one person that's going to get there's soon and it's Eddie Guerrero because his time has come to face The Game and by gawd, he's going to get a whipping!”

Match Four - Eddie Guerrero vs Triple H

Guerrero entered first to music eerily similar to that of the L.W.O. Next, The Game made a quick entrance as he tossed his title to an official on the way to the ring and quickly entered where he and Guerrero began to exchange blows. The Game eventually won out and knocked Guerrero back into the ropes, from which he launched Eddie into the opposite side and then hit a Flying Kneebuster which sent him straight down to the canvas. Pulling Guerrero up, Triple H threw him into the corner and then began to stomp away at his abdomen before whipping him into the opposite corner. Rushing in to meet him, Helmsley was surprised to receive two boots into the face from Eddie who then rushed out with a powerful lariat that sent the Champion down. Standing and slapping his chest, Guerrero pulled Triple H up and threw him to the outside where he soon followed. On the outside, Guerrero kept Helmsley down with a series of clubs to the back of the Champ's neck and then shoved him into the steel post before making an attempt to remove the padded mats. But doing so took Guerrero too much time and Helmsley was able to recover, hitting Guerrero with a forearm from behind and then rolling him back in. On the inside, Triple H was met with a series of kicks as he entered but soon turned the tide after catching one of Guerrero's boots and laying him out with a Clothesline. Pulling Eddie up, Triple H threw him into the corner where he began to drive knees into his gut. Shoving him out of the corner, Helmsley didn't just let Guerrero fall but rushed in with a back elbow to the head which sent Eddie down to the canvas in a heap. Calling for the end, Helmsley hit a boot as Guerrero stood and hooked his arms but Guerrero was able to shake loose and then pulled Triple H's legs out from under him before dropping a headbutt right into Helmsley's crotch. Standing, Guerrero went to the top rope for a Frog Splash but Triple H stood in time and winded up shoving Guerrero off the ropes and to the outside. On the inside, Triple H fell to his knees in exhaustion as Guerrero spawled out in pain. Finally, Eddie was able to recover and retreaved the Undisputed Title which he wrapped onto his arm and then hid as he lay against the apron. Standing, Triple H came over to Eddie's prone body and grabbed him by his head as he began to pull him up. But as he got Eddie face to face with him, Guerrero suddenly snapped to life and whacked Triple H across the head with the belt, earning himself the disqualification.

Afterwards, Guerrero began to stomp away at Triple H as The Undertaker appeared to join in on the beating. Following a brutal Frog Splash off the top, Guerrero pulled Helmsley up and shoved him into 'Taker who then hit a Chokeslam as the crowd groaned. Officials hit the ring, but it was too late as Undertaker had already lifted The Game onto his shoulders. The Last Ride, much to the crowd's dismay, followed and as officials checked on Triple H, Eddie and 'Taker held the Undisputed Title up before disappearing into the back.

Winner: Via DQ, Triple H, (71/83/73, **¼)

Ross: “Damnit, someone do something about this! Triple H has just been destroyed by Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker and there's no one here to stop it. By gawd, if Ric Flair were out there, he'd put a hault to this!”

King: “But he's not, because he's scared JR. Scared of The Undertaker and his hired gun, Eddie Guerrero. And so is Triple H, after tonight. Because the two most powerful men on RAW just dismantled the Undisputed Champion and have left him layed out. What a statement!”

Ross: “Well, I know a man who certainly will make a statement tonight and that is Stone Cold Steve Austin. The contract signing is next!”

[ Commercial Break ]

We returned to find that the ring had been set up the same as last, with the ring mat covered in red carpet and a wooden table with three chairs placed in the center. The camera moved around the ring to inspect everything, but was cut short by the music of Smackdown's General Manager, Vince McMahon who arrogantily strutted his way out onto the rampway. Carrying a clipboard in hand, McMahon ignored the crowd's boo's and quickly entered the ring where he placed his contract on the table and awaited Ric Flair. Finally, the Nature Boy's music began and the crowd erupted in cheers as Flair made his grand entrance with the RAW contract in hand. Entering quickly, Flair placed his contract on the table as well before retreaving a microphone and speaking.

Flair: “Austin, tonight is your last chance to sign a contract or face termination. I warned you last week and I hope you've taken it seriously, because we will not hesitate to punish another act of this kind. Austin, I know you're back there, come on down!”

Flair lowered the mic and paused, but nothing happened. He waited a good 15 seconds, before bringing his microphone back to his lips. And it was at this point at the glass shattered and all hell brooke loose. The crowd ERUPTED in cheers as the Titan-TRON came to life with shots of the Texas Rattlesnake himself. Brushing past the curtains in his blue-jean shorts and a camo jacket, Austin was greeted with huge cheers as he swaggered down the rampway. Eyeing both Flair and McMahon, Austin pulled himself up the steel steps and entered where he did his trademark pose in all four corners, as always. Climbing down, Austin stepped up to the two General Managers and eyed them both with anger before calling for a microphone as his music died down.”

Flair: “Thank you, Steve. Now, let's get down to business. Due to the fact that I control the flagship show of RAW, I will get first. Austin, it's no secret that RAW has and always will be the show of the WWF. We're the flagship show of the WWF and everybody knows it. And you're the flagship star of the WWF. So what's better than to have both of them on the same night? But that's not it, oh no. Austin, you know as well as I do, that you don't like Vince McMahon. And what makes you think you'll be able to coexist with him on Smackdown? Nothing. If you're signed to Smackdown, he'll have control of you and you'll be just another Superstar. Don't fall for it.”

Flair nodded and lowered the microphone as he looked at Austin. Smirking, McMahon began to speak.

McMahon: “Austin, I know that we haven't alw--…”

But before McMahon could continue, Austin suddenly interrupted him.

Austin: “I'm sorry. (WHAT?!) Can I interrupt. (WHAT?!) Vince McMahon and Ric Flair. (WHAT?!) You two run this damn company (WHAT?!) and you both (WHAT?!) want me to sign (WHAT?!) with your brand. (WHAT?!) But you both know (WHAT?!) for damn sure (WHAT?!) that Stone Cold Steve Austin is his own man. (WHAT?!) And Vince, (WHAT?!) save the bullshit (WHAT?!) because it's not going (WHAT?!) to help either one of you (WHAT?!) sign The Rattlesnake. (WHAT?!) But first of all, (WHAT?!) let me tell you something, Ric Flair. (WHAT?!) You don't tell me what I can (WHAT?!) and cannot do. (WHAT?!) If I want to leave, (WHAT?!) I leave and if I want to stay, (WHAT?!) I stay. (WHAT?!) So make sure (WHAT?!) you mind your own damn business (WHAT?!) next time.”

Flair eyed Austin and held his ground as he spoke.

Flair: “I only want what's best for you and the company. We need you here on RAW and the WWF needs you back on television. So come home where you belong.. on RAW.”

McMahon quickly cut in.

McMahon: “Where he belongs? Flair, this isn't a Hallmark card. Austin, look at Smackdown and then look at RAW. We are stacked. We have all of your enemies who you'd just love to beat the hell out of, right? We have the more entertaining show and with you, we'll become the flagship show of the WWF. We need you Austin. On Smackdown, not RAW.”

The two men looked at each other. Austin looked over at the contracts and picked up Flair's before reviewing it. Laying it down, Austin retreaved the Smackdown contract and looked over it. Eyeing McMahon and then Flair, Austin smirked before laying it back down and stepping away from the table.

Austin: “First of all, (WHAT?!) no one tells Steve Austin (WHAT?!) WHAT TO DO!”

With that, Austin suddenly turned to Flair and hit him with a boot and a STUNNER! The crowd went nuts as Austin stood and picked up the Smackdown contract as McMahon smirked and searched for a pen. But before he could find one, Austin threw the Smackdown contract down and then booted McMahon before hitting another STUNNER! Standing to his feet, Austin picked up the RAW contract and quickly signed it before grabbing the microphone.

Austin: “RAW is Steve Austin's show (WHAT?!) and you're just shit out of luck. (WHAT?!) So get the hell off my show, (WHAT?!) you son of a bitch. (WHAT?!) And that's the bottom line (WHAT?!) 'cause Stone Cold said so!”

With that, Austin's music exploded and the crowd went nuts as Austin called for several beers and began to chug them over the two fallen General Manager's as RAW came to an end with a final shot of Austin drinking beer.

(95)

Ross: “Austin is on RAW! Stone Cold has signed with RAW and what do you think about that, Vince McMahon?”

King: “Aha! Austin just Stunner'ed both of them to show his total lack for authority! I think RAW just got alittle bit more dangerous.”

Ross: “Oh yes, King. And next week we'll be live from San Jose, California. What will happen with Austin now on the show? Tune in to find out. By gawd!”

NWO TO ACT TONIGHT

Following last weeks SmackDown which saw the nWo attack and beat down a somewhat drunken Bradshaw. This week on SmackDown, Bradshaw is scheduled to appear and address the attack. The nWo are also scheduled to be in the arena, and they have promised to give a reaction to their attack on Bradshaw last week, as well as the fact that the man that walked out on the nWo, Hollywood Hogan was given the first shot at Triple H and the Undisputed title.

Also scheduled is a rematch between Jeff Hardy and Tajiri for the Cruiserweight title that Jeff won from Tajiri last week. Tajiri is out for revenge, especially as his 'girlfriend' Torrie Wilson walked out on him. Although it is hard to blame her for leaving Tajiri, Tajiri sees her actions as disloyal and claims she embarressed him.

In addition to all this, the WWF Undisputed champion Triple H and his Backlash challenger Hollywood Hogan will be in the arena. These two fierce competitors made it clear that they respect each other, but also made it clear that when Backlash comes around, that they would hold nothing back. See what happens at 8/7 CT on UPN!

11th April 2002

Taped from the Tuscan Convention Centre – Tuscan, Arizona

Vince McMahon again opens the show by making his way to the ring. McMahon is pissed. McMahon says he is beside himself with rage after what happened Monday night, and said he couldn’t believe that Stone Cold had decided to sign with Ric Flair’s RAW over SmackDown. He proceeded to run down everyone from the Rock, Chris Jericho, Booker T, Kane, and basically said that Ric Flair wished that RAW had the talent that SmackDown did. He went on to say that his neck is still hurting from the Stunner Austin gave him Monday night, and decided that he was glad Austin joined RAW. He said that he fit right in with the crap that was there. He then turned his attention to another loudmouth Texan, but said this one was on SmackDown and went by the name Bradshaw. He said that it was announced that it would be Scott Hall and X-Pac against Bradshaw and a partner of his choosing. He said that because of all the embarrassment he has suffered at the hands of Stone Cold Steve Austin down the years, he is going to make sure Hall and X-Pac take it all out on Bradshaw tonight…in a handicap match! He then said that after the outcome of last week’s main event, he’s going to add another match to the Backlash pay-per-view and says that it will be Kurt Angle taking on Edge!

Before McMahon could go on, Kurt Angle’s music hit and the Olympic gold medallist came to the ring. He apologised for interrupting McMahon, and then thanked him for booking his match at Backlash, but then politely asked him “what the hell were you thinking” when he named Hollywood Hogan the no. 1 contender for Triple H’s Undisputed title? McMahon said that he wasn’t in the mood for this tonight, and Angle said he understands, and demanded to take his frustrations out on Hogan tonight. McMahon agreed and made the match, then decided against and instead told Kurt Angle that he wouldn’t face just Hollywood Hogan; he would face Hogan AND Triple H in a tag team match! Angle was shocked, then smirked and enquired about whom his partner would be, but McMahon said he wants it to be a surprise, but promises Angle that he will like it. He then promises Hogan and Triple H would NOT like it.

Rob Van Dam def. Christian

Christian was on the receiving end of a beating for the majority of the match until Lance Storm strolled down to the ring, distracting RVD, which allowed Christian to get a near-fall from a schoolboy roll-up. Christian was in charge from then on until he and RVD nailed a spinning heel kick, which knocked both Christian and the referee out. This prompted Storm to get into the ring behind RVD and line up for a super kick, but when he finally tried to nail RVD, he hit Christian instead! Van Dam then threw him out of the ring before going to the top rope and hitting the Five Star Frog Splash for the victory.

After the match, Lance Storm grabbed one steel chair, slid it into the ring the grabbed another chair and returned to the ring before blasting Van Dam right between the eyes! He shook Christian to consciousness before the two Canadian’s hit RVD with the con-chair-toh!

Cut to the back where Mark Lloyd is talking with Bradshaw about Mr. McMahon’s announcement of the upcoming handicap match. Bradshaw says he couldn’t give a damn what McMahon says, and couldn’t care less about his vendetta against Stone Cold Steve Austin, all Bradshaw cares about, all he wants is a fight with the nWo! He doesn’t care if it’s one of them or all of them, he just wants to kick some ass and drink some beer! With that, Bradshaw walked off.

Scott Hall and X-Pac def. Bradshaw

McMahon made this a no-tag rules handicap match where both Hall and X-Pac are in the ring with Bradshaw at the same time. They teased a Bradshaw win as Bradshaw made a big comeback against his opponents before throwing Hall out of the ring, and then nailing X-Pac with a clothesline from hell and getting a very near fall from the pin before Scott Hall returned to the ring and broke it up. Bradshaw fired back against Hall though until X-Pac hit a chop block, allowing Hall to gather his senses and hit the Razor’s Edge for the win.

Luckily for Bradshaw, Hall and X-Pac decided to leave Bradshaw in the ring without attacking him further. Unluckily for Bradshaw, they decided to spray paint ‘nWo’ on his back before leaving.

Cut to the back where Torrie Wilson is talking to Jeff Hardy. She congratulates him on winning the Cruiserweight title last week, and thanks him for getting her away from Tajiri. She says that she thought she loved him, but the way he was acting over the past couple of days, she realised he had changed. She wanted to give him a chance…Jeff interrupted her and reminded her that if he didn’t interject last week, Tajiri might have hurt her. She says he’s right, and offers to come down to the ring with him for his rematch with Tajiri, an offer that he accepts.

WWF Cruiserweight title match

Tajiri def. Jeff Hardy to win the title

Clearly Tajiri didn’t want to wait around with his rematch clause and McMahon granted him the rematch tonight. The match came to its closure as SmackDown registered its second ref bump of the night, as referee Jimmy Korderas was taken out with a flying crossbody from Jeff Hardy, which was ducked by Tajiri. Tajiri tried to nail Jeff with a stiff kick to the head, but Jeff rolled him up for the count, but there was no referee. Then came the run-in that caused a surprise as former WWF Light-Heavyweight champion Taka Michinoku made his return to the WWF by hitting Jeff Hardy with the Michinoku Driver and putting Tajiri on top of him. As the referee came to, all he saw was Tajiri’s arm lying across Jeff’s chest as he made the 1…2…3 count, making Tajiri the winner and new Cruiserweight champion!

After the match, Taka grabbed Torrie Wilson by the arm and dragged her into the ring, throwing her at Tajiri’s feet. Tajiri then spat BLACK mist into her eyes, making her roll around in agony! Out from the back came Billy Kidman of all people, as Tajiri and Taka rolled out of the ring and up the ramp. Kidman checked on Torrie who kept shouting ‘I can’t see! I can’t see!’ Kidman called for the EMT’s.

Cut to the back where Triple H is getting his hands taped in his locker room when Hollywood Hogan walks in! Triple H stands up and asks his assistant to leave. Triple H then tells Hogan that he doesn’t know what Vince is thinking by booking them in a tag team match just over a week before Backlash, but he says that while tonight they’re partners, he reminds him that in ten days they’ll be going one-on-one for the biggest prize in this industry. Hogan says Vince doesn’t like Hogan and he doesn’t like Triple H, but Hogan says he’s doesn’t care because tonight they’ll team together for the first time in history, and he says he’s excited about it. Triple H agrees with him, and says it’s not every day you get to team up with a legend, let alone a legend that you respect and have looked up to for your entire life. Hogan extends his hand to Triple H, and the champion shakes it. Hogan goes to leave, but Triple H pulls him back! He reminds Hogan that tonight they’re partners, but after that, it’s all out of the window. He reminds Hogan that this is his dressing room and tells him to never, ever barge in again or that respect he was talking about earlier will go straight out the window, and says he’ll take it as an act of aggression and says he’ll treat just like any of the pretenders who’ve tried to knock him off the mountain over the past couple of years; by leaving them broken and beaten down. Hogan just looks at the champion for a few seconds, before telling Triple H that he’s ‘played the game’ longer than anyone on SmackDown, longer than anyone in the WWF and longer than anyone in this business and then leaves.

Bubba Ray Dudley def. Billy

Billy was accompanied by Chuck and Rico, but Bubba came out alone. This was a glorified squash at times, with Billy being out-classed, out-powered and out-manoeuvred by Bubba Ray for the majority of the match. At the end of the match, Bubba and Billy were brawling when all of a sudden Chuck got into the ring and ran at Bubba with a clothesline, but Bubba ducked it and Chuck nailed Billy instead! Bubba then grabbed Chuck by the hair and tossed him outside of the ring before nailing Billy with the Bubba Bomb to pick up the victory!

After the match, Rico came rushing in the one of the title belts to hit Bubba with, but Bubba saw him coming and Rico dropped to the mat! As Bubba got closer to Rico, Chuck’s boot came from behind and connected with Bubba’s head, knocking him out! Chuck and Rico double-teamed Bubba until D-Von and Spike Dudley came running out from the back to make the save. Chuck and Rico grabbed Billy and dragged him away.

Cut to the back Diamond Dallas Page is walking on his own and he bumps into Paul Heyman. He says that it’s been a while since he’s been able to talk to Heyman in person, and then asks him where his monster is. Heyman assures Page that Brock Lesnar is not here tonight, and DDP says that’s not a bad thing, it’s a good thing because he gets a chance to talk to Heyman about Lesnar’s actions. He says it’s not very nice the way Lesnar has been attacking people like that and says that if he’s a wrestler, he should get in the ring and wrestle, and stop jumping people from behind.

Then from behind Brock Lesnar grabbed him and tossed him hard into a wall! Heyman starts laughing as kneels down ands agrees that DDP may be right; maybe Lesnar should wrestle. He says that next week on SmackDown he’ll get in the ring with ANY SmackDown wrestler.

The WWF Undisputed champion Triple H makes his way to the ring for the upcoming tag team match, and is followed by Hollywood Hogan. The two share an icy stare until Kurt Angle’s music hits and the Olympic gold medallist hits the stage. Angle mock Hogan and Triple H, saying they have no chance here because they can’t even get along with each other, and reiterates that they have no chance against him and his partner. He says that although he doesn’t know exactly who he is, he has been assured by Mr. McMahon that he is perfect for this match. Angle then introduced his tag team partner, and the music of the nWo hit! Angle looked shocked, but his shock turned to a smirk as Kevin Nash walked out onto the stage! Angle looked like a kid in a candy store as he shook Nash's hand and walked towards the ring, followed by the big leader of the nWo.

Hollywood Hogan and Triple H def. Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash by DQ

The whole match consisted of Kurt Angle fighting both Hogan and Triple H, with Nash coming in every once in a while to beat on Hogan. Nash and Triple H didn’t interact at all except for when Hogan made the tag to Triple H after being beat upon by Nash, but Nash smirked and tagged out to Angle straight away. The match came to it’s end when Kevin Nash went to nail Hollywood Hogan in the face with a big boot, but Hogan ducked and Nash took out Triple H instead, who went flying off the apron and then bounced off the security rail, and was seemingly knocked unconscious. Hogan then turned around and pounded on Nash until he hit the big boot! The crowd went wild as Hogan signalled for the big legdrop, but he was stopped when Scott Hall and X-Pac ran down to the ring! Hogan fought off Hall, but was jumped from behind by X-Pac as the referee was forced to call for a disqualification.

Hall and X-Pac started to double-team Hogan, who then began to Hulk up and fight back! He had then both on the ropes until Kurt Angle came from nowhere with a steel chair shot to the head, sending Hogan down like a tonne of bricks! Angle then pulled down the straps and slapped on the ankle lock as Hogan screamed for help, which came in the form of Edge and Bradshaw! Then hit the ring, but the nWo were too much for the two of them and Bradshaw fell to a Razors Edge, while Edge was knocked out with a Jacknife powerbomb, courtesy of Kevin Nash. The nWo stood over Bradshaw, Edge and a bloody Hollywood Hogan, while Kurt Angle slapped in the ankle lock on Edge to end the show.
