New Wrestling Channel launches

Washington- "Today is a great day for wrestling" said Shane McMahon, son of the deceased wrestling promoter Vincent Kennedy McMahon Jr and the figurehead behind Wrestling 24/7. "My dad tried something like this 20 years ago with WWE 24/7, but it didnt work out, mainly due to the lack of exposure for the channel and the fact that wrestling was not as big as it is today."

WWE or World Wrestling Entertainment was the name that Vince's company had 20 years ago after changing it's name from World Wrestling Federation due to legal issues with the World Wildife Fundation. The WWE later emerged as WWW or World Wide Wrestling 5 years ago under the lead of Shane McMahon, his sister Stephanie, his wife Marizza and his brother in law Jean Paul Levesque, known as the legendary wrestler Triple H. It was a fresh new start for a company that went down in 2012 after the death of Vince and the chaos that ensued, which led to the lost of TV time, sponsorships and contracted talent. This allowed NWA:TNA to emerge as the #1 brand in wrestling, until Shane and company directed the resurge of the WWE and the WWW. Now, three years after buying out their biggest rival, this marks the beginning of wrestling mesopotamia for fans of the sport.

WWW owns the rights to almost every single wrestling organization in existence, from the American Wrestling Association, World Championship Wrestling, Extreme/Eastern Championship Wrestling and now NWA:TNA, to Mid Atlantic Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling and even local feds from different areas like AAA, CMLL and EMLL in Mexico to WWC and IWA in Puerto Rico. 70+ years of wrestling footage will air at the touch of a button, just pick a federation name and year and search trough the amount of avalible matches, pick one and press enter and you got it.

"The great thing about the service is that you aint watching random matches. Pick a match and if it had any sort of storyline or feud behind it, expect a detailed video package and description of the events that led to the match. It is amazing" Said an overly excited Shane McMahon.

Excited is the only word that can describe what wrestling fans are feeling right now.

Writer's note:

Since I always seem to get great ideas, but get bored having to book myself into a point where I can accomplish them, this is my solution for a diary. I might actually remake historical matches, but the porpuse of this is to build a feud and blowoff match that might/might not have happened in real life from any promotion in any time period. From Hogan winning the WWF title for the first time to small venues like Carlos Colon and Abdullah the Butcher tearing down the house in PUerto Rico in 1986, you are going to get something good everytime. I am open to suggestions for matches/feuds that happened in real life or those that didnt happen....like say...Matt Hardy vs HHH for the World Title? It will be my job to write a backstory, featuring promos, skits, results of previous matches and then close it all with the big match in full description. I hope you enjoy this concept because I think it has not been done before.

Damn...that's not bad. It allows you to just switch between so many save games it makes your head spin. It makes you alter your Data folder a lot, though, unless you've got a folder per scenario. Either way, good luck with this. This is potentially the most random idea in the world.

To open up the forum, I would like to see something that never happened. Steve Austin versus Brian Pillman in WCW because they weren't released, but instead were allowed to become a major tag team, and eventually wound up fighting one another for individual glory. Good luck.

Ok, I will have that one in mind, but for now I am going to remake something local as to show everyone how will this work out. Even as a local feud, I know this one garnered a lot of attention in the 80's worldwide due to the enormous exposure it got on wrestling magazines....perhaps this is the most well known feud in the history of the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, one that has had many blowoffs over the years, but seems to resurge with time. We are going back to 1986, where the first real "blowoff" match to the feud happened and remake it from my point of view. Some of the backstory leading to the match will be entirely fictional, but most of it will be taken from historical fact. I raised both men's overness to 100 since that is what they where in Puerto Rico.

Sit back and enjoy:

Wrestling 24/7 presents: Carlos Colon vs Abdullah the Butcher in 1986

The Stars:

Carlos Colon

5'11" 235 pounds from San Sebastian Puerto Rico

Colon IS WRESTLING in Puerto Rico. He is bigger than Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair in this island, loved with as much passion as Jerry Lawler in Memphis. Colon has held every major title in his promotion including a record 26 Universal Titles. He was one of three founding fathers of the WWC alongside Victor Jovica and Gorilla Monsoon. Colon was part high flier(for his time), part technical wonder. By 1986, he had lost much of his high flying skills, but his overness was at it's peak.

Abdullah the Butcher

6' 0" 380 pounds, billed from Africa

The Butcher is one of the first true hardcore wrestlers in the world. Known for violent matches and the use of a fork to bust open his victims, he had memorable feuds with many greats, but his feud with Colon, which spanned 20 years is a thing of legends. They fought each other hundreds of times in several different matches raging from Inferno and Barbed Wire matches, to steel cages and hardcore deathmatches. By 1986, Abdullah was already established as the monster in Puerto Rico, a thing of nightmares for the kids. They knew that whenever he came out, somebody was going to get hurt. It is amazing to see kids running into their parents arms in fear everytime this monster came out.

The backstory:

It is well known that this two faced each other dozens of times during the late 70's, but their feud caught fire in the early 80's. On July 21 1982 Abdullah the Butcher was introduced as the WWC Heavyweight Champion after winning a ficticious tournament in Japan. Three days later, he lost the title to Carlos Colon and from then on, the war was on fire.

In the span of 1982 trough 1985, they had over 20 matches, most of them bloody and violent, usually culminating in Double countouts or DQ's. None of them seemed to emerge a clear victor.

Things took a thing for the worse on the night of June 15 1985. That night Carlos Colon regained the now billed Universal Title from Dory Funk Jr in a brutal and bloody match. Little did he know that this night marked the return of the Butcher. After a hard fought, violent match in which he defeated Funk Jr, Colon was walking towards the locker room of the Ruben Rodriguez ballpark in Bayamon, PR. Bloody, sweaty and exhausted, he took a deep breath and several seconds to rise his title belt to the multitude of fans who where giving him a standing ovation. Then it happened.....

*BANG*. Colon went down from a hard shot to the back of his head. It was the Butcher with a 4x4 in his hands. After cracking Colon on the back and the ribs several times, much to the concern and dismay of the fans, Abdullah proceeded to take out his now infamous fork and work on the already busted open head of Carlos Colon. The sadistic beast even licked the blood from the fork as he continued targeting the head. Referees and officials came out, but all fell down to precise, strong haymakers to the throat from The Butcher. Some of the lower card wrestlers also came out, without any sucess to stop the rampaging beast.

Abdullah was not happy with the blood. He wanted more than opening a huge gash on Colon's forehead, he wanted to take him out once and for all. So he went to the left eye!!! He started impaling Colon's eyeball with the fork!!! Colon screamed like nobody had ever heard him do. Even for a man who refused to let pain be a factor in his matches, this was too much. Abdullah enjoyed the screams of agony and moved his tongue from side to side of his mouth, enjoying the carnage. Finally, Invader #1 came out and picked up the 4x4 that Abdullah had dropped and used it to chase the beast away with shots to the back and the head. EMT's rushed out and took Colon to the hospital in an ambulance. For one night, Puerto Rico was dead silent.

(EWR segment rating: 86%)

The next week a video package aired from Colon's house. Invader #1 was there alongside the lead interviewer for WWC, Eliud Gonzales. Colon had his eye covered with a white patch. He was set to have surgery to repair his eye, but due to all the internal damage, he ran the risk of loosing his sight. He would miss the rest of the year in recovery and thus, was unable to defend his newly won title. The wrestling comission of Puerto Rico was understanding of the situation and decided to still recognize Colon as champion until he could come back. But this didnt sit well for Abdullah. We where taken to a video of a meeting in the offices of the wrestling comission of Puerto Rico. Abdullah's manager Chicky Starr requested a meeting with the comission and practically forced them to vacate the Universal Title by presenting documents from the comision's rules that stated that if a champion couldnt make a title defense in three months, he would be stripped of the title. With their hands tied, the Comission agreed to strip Colon of the title and make a tournament to crown a new champion.

(EWR Segment rating: 88%)

On September 23, one week after the three month period expired, the tournament was held. In the first round Invader #1 defeated Afa the Wild Samoan (Overall rating: 77%), Dutch Mantell defeated Invader #3(Overall: 69%), Miguel Perez Jr defeated Hangman Bobby Jaggers(65%) and Abdullah the Butcher defeated Huracan Castillo Jr(71%). The second round began with Invader #1 beating Dutch Mantell(76%) and Abdullah defeated Miguel Perez(71%). The finals saw Invader #1, Colon's best friend taking on the man who took him out, Abdullah the Butcher. Match was a bloody affair with Invader refusing to stay down. Both men where busted open, but after a low blow, several fork shots to the head and the Running Elbowdrop, Abdullah had won the Universal Title(78%). Not content with the win, he went for Invader's eye, wanting to put Colon's best friend and the only true threat at this title out of comission as well. But to the surprise of many, it was Colon, with a patched eye and wearing a suit, who came out chair in hand and drove the beast away with chairshot after chairshot.(95%)

The following week, Colon admited that he was not medically cleared to wrestle, but that he would be on January 6 1986 for the big Three Kings Festival and he wanted Abdullah there in a match where no one else could get involved and where they could not use any foreign objects....a steel cage.(88%)

Abdullah defended the title without any problems on several occasions during the remainder of 1985, but the stage was set for the big one.

The match will be up tomorrow

Wrestling 24/7 presents: WWC Universal Title Match: Carlos Colon vs Abdullah the Butcher©: Steel Cage Match on January 6 1986 from San Juan Puerto Rico

The Roberto Clemente Stadium is packed with over 15,000 fans, one of the largest crowds to a WWC event in the last decade. The steel cage is set up and the arabic melody that brings out Abdullah the Butcher plays over the speakers. With red, long pants and pointy black boots, with his head covered in typical middle eastern fashion and with his deadly fork at hand walks the most dangerous and violent man to ever step foot in the Caribbean island. His manager Chicky Starr, with short blonde locks, a furry mustache and dressed in yellow with a jacket that has a picture of Colon with the eye patch walks at his side. Quickly the referee orders him to the back, fearing that his interference could be a factor even with the steel cage. The beast enters the cage with no fear, only with the determination to eliminate his dreaded foe. "Soy Boricua" plays over the speakers and out comes the hero from Puerto Rico, wearing a red Ric Flair-like robe, he runs out of the locker room and rises a fist to the thousands of fans who chant his name. He removes the robe, showing the all white wrestling attire he is wearing with red boots. He realises Abdullah has the fork in his hand and decides to come in with some help of his own. He goes back to the announcers table and asks his good friend, announcer Eliud Gonzales for something, which turns out to be a long, black painted, piece of lumber. He rises it to the fans who cheer in applause and walks into the cage. Before the door is even locked, Colon moves to the side and ducks an incoming charge from the beast and attacks him with the lumber.

Repeated shots send Abdullah into the corner where he holds on and refuses to go down. Colon focuses his shots to the abdomen of the beast, trying to cut his air supply and gain an advantage. Abdullah shows no emotion from the pain he is taking and swiftly and suddenly nails Colon over the head with the fork. Colon struggles back from the shot and this gives Abdullah enough of an opening to take Colon down with a lariat and drop a legdrop. He does not go for the cover, instead choosing to put Colon on a sitting position and work him over the forehead with the fork. Colon is already busted open and his white attire starts to turn red.

In pain, but refusing to have the Butcher have his way, Colon looks into his tights....and pulls out a fork of his own!!! Colon now strikes Butcher with the fork and forces him to struggle back. Colon gets into his feet and goes after The Butcher with fork shots to the head, busting him open as well. He then strikes the fork into Butcher's hand, forcing him to drop the fork. Colon then kicks that fork away and out of the cage, leaving only one fork in the ring. Colon continues working him over with the fork, but Abdullah gives him a throat chop and retakes control. Abdullah pulls Colon bu the hair and rams him aganist the cage several times. Colon senses trouble and throws his fork out of the cage as well, choosing to loose it rather than let the Butcher take it and have his way with it. Blood is pouring everywhere.

Abdullah now locks Colon in the Nerve Clawhold as Colon screams and struggles to set himself free. Colon falls down to one knee as Abdullah now uses both of his hands to input pressure into the hold. Colon is now on both knees, but refuses to go down and instead gives Abdullah a low blow that bends him over. Colon grabs Abdullah's head and headbutts him, which hurts both men. Colon struggles to the corner as Abdullah charges at him, but Colon moves and the beast collides with the ringpost. Colon now grabs Abdullah by the head and rams him aganist the cage, then drags his face across the cage as well. Colon starts to kick at the beast's legs in obvious prepatation for the Figure Four, but Abdullah cuts the attack off with another throat chop. Abdullah now connects with a solid right hand that drops Colon to the floor and heads to the corner. From the corner he charges with the Sudanese Elbowdrop and hits it!!! The elbow is driven by 380 pounds in the chest of Colon. This was clearly the end....1....2....NO!!! Colon somehow kicked out and the beast is furious!!!

Abdullah now nails several toe kicks with the pointy boots to the forehead of the bloody Colon and then goes back to the corner. He tries another Sudanese Elbowdrop, but Colon moves and Abdullah lands flat on the mat. The beast struggles to get up as Colon rolls to the ropes and uses them to get back to his feet. Colon now picks up his piece of lumber, which was ignored for most of the match and proceeds to beat on the floored beast until he stops moving. Cover...1...2....NO!!! Abdullah kicked out!!!

With surprise on his eyes, Colon gets up and starts working the leg. He nails some shots to the inside leg with his lumber and then drops knees and elbow shots, kicks, stomps, everything in the arsenal. He finally locks the Figure Four in the center of the ring, too far away for Abdullah to even think about moving to the ropes. Abdullah holds on and tries to break the hold several times, but fails. 3 minutes have gone by and the beast refuses to tap. He is still fighting to break the hold. It seems like he is going to reverse it, but with all the remainder of his strenght, Colon turns it back before Abdullah could have fully reversed it and we are back to square one. With 5 minutes gone by and no choice, Abdullah taps giving Colon his 8th Universal Title. The crowd explodes as Colon is announced the winner and given the belt by the referee. Unable to stand up, Abdullah still tries to crawl his way to Colon and somehow hurt him. Colon with the title in his hands looks at the fallen beast crawling towards him with evil intentions. Colon could have continued his attack, but chooses not to, looking down to his fallen rival who still wont give up. As he exits the cage and leaves with the belt, he takes one last look at the cage and realises maybe this aint over yet.

Winner and new champion: Carlos Colon(OR:85% CR: 95% MQ:77%)

* Wrestling 24/7 will revisit this feud at a later date to see how and when did this two rivals faced each other as they are many memorable battes to be seen. Until next time*

Ok, Colon vs Flair it is. Feel free to vote for any other of the matches in the poll, since with enough demand they will get done as well.

Historically, their is not much backstory to how the Colon/Flair match came to pass, but I will include some of my own input to add the needed touches for such a classic match.

The tale of two champions

The Stars:

Carlos Colon

6'0" 235 pounds from San Sebastian Puerto Rico

I already went over Colon in the last match, but let's take a look at the story in 1984. Colon was still the most over and popular star in WWC at the time and was in better ring shape, still doing the top rope splash and some more athletic moves than two years later, where he became basically a brawler. Even as part owner of the promotion, he didnt have all the political power that he gained in the late 80's, so it was not his decision to be made champion all the time like in later years. Simply he was super over and the fans demanded to see him win.

Ric Flair

6'1" 243 pounds from Charlotte North Carolina

Flair was the four time World Champion back then and the most popular wrestler in the NWA. He could carry a broomstick to a ***+ match and could make stars out of anyone. Maybe the most complete wrestler of all time.

The Backstory:

On May 24 1984, Ric Flair defeated Kerry Von Erich in Yosuka Japan to win his fourth NWA World Title.

A whole year earlier on May 19 1983, Carlos Colon had defeated Ox Baker, a big man from Calgary Stampede to win his second WWC Heavyweight Championship.

Between 1981 and 1983, Ric Flair had made several title defenses in Puerto Rico aganist Carlos Colon and Hercules Ayala, usually working 60 minute time limit draws and a couple of phantom switches by "loosing" the title to Jack Veneno and Victor Jovica.

As the summer of 1984 began, Carlos Colon was named "The Best Wrestler in the World" (ficticious award) by a local wrestling magazine, which became the setup for the feud. One week later on WWC TV they passed a promo of Ric Flair on Carlos Colon.

Flair: "I cant believe the outrage and the lack of respect the people of Puerto Rico have for the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, The Nature Boy Ric Flair. I cant believe that some second rate wrestling publication in that island had the guts to name a nobody like Carlos Colon as the best wrestler in the world when clearly, he is nothing but a second rate wrestler much like the magazine who made the article. Carlos Colon, the son of a truck driver, yes a truck driver, a guy who has never wrestled anyone of note in his career is named the best wrestler in the world. Carlos, I am Ric Flair, I am the Nature Boy, WOOO!!!! I am the NWA's World Heavyweight Champion of the World. WOOO!!! I defeated the greats, Harley Race, WOOOO!! Dusty Rhodes!! WOOO!! Kerry Von Erich!! WOOO!! Giant Baba!! WOOOO!!! You name them, I have beaten them. Clearly I am the best wrestler in the world, bar none....and you tell me that this monkey from Puerto Rico is the best in the world? He does not stand a chance aganist me baby!! WOOO!! That's why Carlos, I am coming to Puerto Rico on July the 24th and face you one on one and when that bell rings, one man is going to tap out to the others figure four and it wont be me baby. It will be you tapping out to the Nature Boy...and when that happens, I will be recognized as the best in the world, like it should be.WOOO!!!" (100%)

The very next week, Colon gave Flair his answer:

Colon: "Ric Flair, you are indeed the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion and one of the best in the world, bar none. Better than me? Only one way to find out and that will be in our match in the 24th of July. But the thing I cant stand is that you insulted the media of Puerto Rico for the award they gave me and you insulted my legacy by calling me a second rate wrestler and saying that I have beaten nobodies. Well I dont know about you, but if you call people like Abdullah the Butcher, Harley Race, Ox Baker, The Wild Samoans and Pedro Morales nobodies, then I dont know what you are thinking. I consider myself the best at what I do and when we step into that ring I will prove to you that I am the best by beating you cleanly in the middle of the ring." (88%)

Finally the day came and on July 24 1984 they collided in a match for respect. Everytime Colon was about to lock the Figure Four, Flair would bail and walk around the ring, playing mind games with the Puerto Rican superstar. This took time off the clock and the match ended in a 60 minute time limit draw. Colon was irate with the decision, but their was nothing else he could do. (OR: 95% CR:100% MQ:91%)

Next week they showed another video from Flair in the USA, doing an interview for Mid Atlantic Wrestling in which he claimed and I quote "I walked into that island with girls flying into my arms begging the world champion for a kiss and I went into the ring with the Puerto Rican Monkey....and guess what happened? I schooled him, I made him tap like a little girl and he ran backstage ashamed to have even tried to beat the Heavyweight Champion of the World. That's what happened and that will happen to anyone who dare challenges the world champ, WOOOO!!! (100%)

This made Colon furious and he took a flight. The next week he showed up by surprise in Mid Atlantic Wrestling and presented the footage in which Flair constanrly ran away and the time limit draw decision. Flair was irate and tried to get physical, but security held him off. This led to the challenge from Colon to the steel cage match on August 21 at the Roberto Clemente Stadium. WWC Heavyweight Title vs NWA World Title in an Unification Match to create the Universal Title. Flair had nowhere to run. (94%)

Match up later

Wrestling 24/7 Presents: WWC Heavyweight Champion Carlos Colon vs NWA World Champion Ric Flair in a match to unify the titles into the WWC Universal Title: Steel Cage Match from August 21 1984 from San Juan Puerto Rico

17,545 fans are in attendance for the match that would create the #1 title belt in Puerto Rico. The Nature Boy comes to the ring with a very flashy green robe and steps into the cage to a chorus of boo's. He removes the robe, showing the NWA World Title around his waist and the green tights and boots underneath. Carlos Colon comes out to a standing ovation, also wearing a flashy robe, but red, which he removes to show red wrestling attire and boots underneath, with the WWC Heavyweight Title around his waist.

The title belts and robes are removed from the ring as the bell rings and the cage is locked. Both men circle each other as Flair WOOOS in the direction of Colon. They lock up and Flair takes Colon down with a side headlock and holds him down until Colon rolls to the side and covers for two, but Flair returns to the original position. Colon gets up and pushes the Nature Boy to the ropes and takes him down with a dropkick on the rebound. Flair slowly gets up surprised by the move and stares his opponent down. He asks for a test of strenght, but when Colon goes to lock hands, he removes them and WOOO's at Colon while touching his head in typical "I am smart" fashion. Colon doesnt like the gesture and kicks Flair in the abdomen to a nice reaction and takes him down with a side headlock of his own. Flair reverses for a two count several times, but Colon holds on. Flair finally gets up and breaks the hold with elbow shots to the stomach and takes him to the ropes, drops down as Colon runs over him, then jumps over Colon and finally tries a hip toss which Colon reverses to one of his own and Flair hits the mat.

Now Flair is pissed off and locks horns with Colon again, only to break it with an eye gouge as the crowd jeers at him. He starts nailing Colon with short right hands and chops, backing Colon into the corner. He kicks Colon in the gut several times and then proceeds to chop him twice, then WOOO's and struts. Colon doesnt like this and when Flair comes over, he kicks him in the gut and reverses positions with him, pinning Flair aganist the corner and giving him three stiff chops of his own, which lead to a Flair Flop.

Flair begs off and this leads to catching Colon off guard with a low blow and rolling him up for two. Flair now sits on top of Colon with mounted punches, before getting up and dropping a knee to the head for another two count. He takes his kneepad down and hits the ropes for momentum, then drops another knee for another two count. Flair is irate and starts to work the leg in preparation for the Figure Four, but just as he is going to lock it in, Colon catches him with a roll-up for two.

Both men rush to their feet and trade chops and punches, Flair dominates with an eye gouge and then takes Colon face first aganist the cage, the first time in the match they even acknowledged the structure. He keeps dragging his face across the cage, busting Colon open. Now with Colon on his knees, Flair grabs him by the hair and nails some piston punches to the forehead trying to open the wound even more.(Piston punches are basically punches in rapid susession, like the pistons move in a car) The referee pulls Flair away and starts to examine the cut. But Flair rushes back and attacks Colon some more. The ref once again takes him away and goes back to check the cut, but once again Flair rushes in. This time however, Colon was ready and takes him down by the legs, gets up and monkey flips him into the cage. Flair sells it like a gun shot and blades while in the mat.

Now is where the brawling part starts. They absolutely lay into each other with punches and start taking turns sending each other into the cage. Flair nails the first actual wrestling move in about 7 minutes with a vertical suplex and covers for two. He goes up to the top rope, but you know how that one ends as Colon takes him down and then Flair begs off, but Colon has none of it and absolutely lays into him with punches and kicks. He nails a vertical suplex of his own for two. Flair's hair is red due to the blood loss. Now Colon sends Flair into the ropes and back bodydrops him. Colon goes up top, but Flair follows and they trade shots at the top, holding to the cage so they wont fall. Finally Colon drops Flair down with a right hand and as Flair turns around, Colon flies into him with a Crossbody....but Flair reverses!!! NO!! Colon reverses again and the ref counts....1....2.....3!!!!! Colon managed to keep Flair pinned down and is the NEW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!!!!

Colon exits the cage with the new WWC Universal Title belt and the crowd is ectasic, leaving their seats and jumping into the ring area, celebrating with their idol in one of the greatest sights in professional wrestling. Flair throws a tantrum inside the cage, which was locked and sorrounded by security to stop the fans from getting near Flair.

Winner and NEW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION: Carlos Colon(OR:91% CR:100% MQ:89%)

This is a very nice, and original (i think) concept.

Good luck with this and I'll make sure to check back.

So far the Black Scorpion is winning, but I will keep the voting open at least until Sunday. I really wanted to write something tomorrow, but due to somebody else getting sick I will have to work a double shift and by the time I get out I will be too tired to put all my effort into writing.

Keep the votes coming and I am also open to suggestions.

OK no more polls for a while. I will do the top three matches this week and then do another poll. It will be

Sting and The Black Scorpion

Matt Hardy vs Edge

Brian Pillman vs Austin

in that order. Expect them to get done before the week's end.

Now the backstory to:

Sting vs The Black Scorpion....The Backstory

The Participants:

Sting

6' 3" 252 pounds from Venice Beach California

Sting had defeated Ric Flair for the WCW World Title at The Great American Bash and had defended the belt sucessfully aganist all comers. Sting represented WCW as the Ultimate Babyface in a world full of cunning heels.

The Black Scorpion

Different heights and weights from parts unknown

Sometimes small and chubby, other times larger than life and other times somewhere in the middle. That is what this magic masked man was. An enigma that nobody seemed to identify.

The Black Scorpion first showed up doing magic tricks with tigers and head spinning boxes. He didnt spoke a word, but always seemed to show up whenever Sting was in the ring or being interviewed. The man had different sizes each time and he was unmasked in more than one occassion.

Al Perez, Barry Windham. The Barbarian. Angel of Death. All of them where unmasked as the Black Scorpion by Sting, but after every unmasking, a new Black Scorpion would show up, clapping his hands in sarcastic fashion.

Clash of Champions in September featured another Sting vs Black Scorpion World Title match. This Scorpion was muscular and cut, which led to some people believing he was The Ulitmate Warrior. Sting beats him clean with the Scorpion Deathdrop and the Scorpion is unmasked......Paul Orndorff.(OR:76% CR:81% MQ:74%). But once again, a new Scorpion shows up clapping his hands.

For the next few weeks, more criptic messages are shown about the Scorpion being the ghost from Sting's past. He mentions being a former world champion, leaving Sting to go somewhere else and now he is back for revenge. The buildup was that Sting and Scorpion would face each other one on one inside a steel cage at Halloween Havoc.

The match took place and the crowd turned on the match. It was obvious who it was and the people knew it when he locked the figure four. Sting managed to turn over the hold and turn it into the Scorpion Deathlock for the tap out win. The Scorpion was unmasked as Ric Flair.(OR: 99% CR:100% MQ:99%. My best EWR Match ever) Or was he? Once again, a new Scorpion showed up clapping his hands. He was tall and muscular.

He claimed(trough a voicebox) to be the real one. The final Scorpion. The ghost from Sting's past. The nightmare. The chosen one to end Sting's career. No more impostors. No more masked men. At Starrcade, Sting and The Scorpion one on one. He would be there without his mask. His identity would be revealed. He would not wrestle as "The Black Scorpion", but as himself. No more magic tricks, no more voiceboxes, no more nothing. (88%)

The week before Starrcade, the same promo repeated itslef. But when the promo ended, the screen turned into a familiar mark. The mark of a very well known wrestler, the symbol of one of the most popular workers of it's time. But could it really be him? Only at Starrcade we will know.(86%)

This sets up the match. WCW Starrcade. WCW World Heavyweight Title. Sting versus....HIM.....The Black Scorpion. The real one. Identity revealed. No more mask.No more black suit. No more voicebox. No more magic tricks.

Wrestling 24/7 Presents: Sting vs The Black Scorpion for the WCW World Title at Starrcade

Sting is the first man to come out with the WCW World Title. He receives a big pop as he awaits for the Black Scorpion to show up. 6 Black Scorpions come out and unmask themselves, revealing to be the ones that Sting had already defeated. Sting starts to jaw at them, waiting for the real one to show up.

Another Black Scorpion shows up behind Sting and locks him in a Sleeper as the bell rings!!! Sting struggles out and manages to break the hold and send the Black Scorpion into the ropes and in for a back bodydrop!!! The Scorpion bails, but Sting grabs him by the mask and rips it off!!!....it's....Ted DiBiase!!!!.

DiBiase walks around the ring and finally comes back in. Sting doesnt know what to make of the WWF wrestler in a WCW show. They lock horns in the middle of the ring and Sting arm drags DiBiase and puts him in an arm bar while asking him what is he doing in a WCW show. DiBiase escapes with an eye poke and scurries outside again. Sting follows, but DiBiase cheapshots him and they brawl outside. DiBiase sends Sting into the ringpost and then rolls him back inside and covers for two. They waste some time in a headlock, which Sting breaks, only for DiBiase to low blow him when he went to the ropes. DiBiase rolls him up for two. For whatever reason, this two aint clicking. DiBiase now sends Sting into the ropes and hip tosses him down, then headlocks him again. Sting fights out and makes the comeback with right hands, sends DiBiase to the ropes and backdrops him for two.

They brawl around some more until Sting catches DiBiase with the Scorpion Deathdrop!!!! The other 6 scorpions now run into the ring and attack Sting getting the DQ. Lex Luger and Ron Simmons make the save.

Winner:Sting by DQ (OR:85% CR:91% MQ:74%)

Ted DiBiase and Ric Flair joined forces with the other five persons under the Black Scorpion masks, creating a stable called the alliance of the Black Scorpion. They tortured Sting and friends for most of 1992. Stay tuned to Wrestling 24/7 for more matches and angles featuring this stable.
